Sirkus (Gamle Baroque)

Bar Night club Social club

😠 Just a heads up -this bar has lost its right to serve alcohol TWO TIMES THIS YEAR (2015) because of blatant acts of racism. Tests run by Norwegian authorities show that "foreign-looking" people run a high risk of being refused entry and/or service.

Trying to be something they can in no way live up to. Seems like they are trying to be Oslo's 1OAK or Cavalli - where they miss completely otherwise. Bad guards, bad service, poor selection of drinks, and a layout of the interior area so wretched that the architect behind it should be fired. The music comes directly from a poorly set up Spotify list from 2010 and all of the technical equipment in there is outdated. Sirkus is possibly the worst nightclub in Oslo, without a doubt. Talk on Pangea!

Outdated and worn. Came in to find there were hardly any tables or places to sit, we were a party of 6. Couldn't have been more than 6-7 tables with room for 3. When we asked one of the guards if there was another place we could sit, we were told that to sit in what was the VIP area (which were the only places left) we had to buy 2 bottles of champagne. When, out of curiosity, we asked the bartender how much it would cost us to sit down, he saw that a bottle cost NOK 1,200, that is, NOK 2,400 to be able to sit down. Got a generally bad impression and left.

Expensive place with bad music. Costs money to get in. Last couple of times I've been it's been almost empty. Total waste of time and money going here.

Absolutly the worst club in Oslo, from really bad security that throw out and refuses people for no good reason to horrible music and overprised drinks. The atmosphere is very bad and there are constantly sucrity guards walking around checking on everyone which makes everyone on edge. I wish google had a 0 star option.

Popular place for fancy Norwegians. Guys in suits and women in skirts. Hiphop upstairs and 80s 90s mix downstairs.

Formerly Baroque and now Sirkus he engaged in discrimination and has been caught two years in a row for it.

Rather small club, so it can get a bit too crowded. The music wasn't the best either.

Had a new white, stylish hoodie on and a black jacket. Would say that I looked okay but no. The guard refused me to enter the bar (and pay 200kr for the entrance) because I was wearing a hoodie. And my friends were inside waiting for me after I traveled from Asker. Idk maybe this bar is all fancypancy but all the 18 year olds wearing their t-shirts didn't make it look like that.

Queued for 30 minutes with some friends, hadn't drunk a drop of alcohol. Couldn't get in because I was "too drunk". Save your money and go somewhere else.
