Farris Bad is a bit overrated. I am really not a person tht writes reviews, but in this case I felt I have to, so that these things improve! Room was clean but overall service was not as expected - quality for money (since it is quite expensive as well). In one of the saunas there were couple of nails coming out from the wood and I stang one of my fingers there. At breakfast all no milk / soy yogurt was expired. We had a 3-course dinner that was quite average (was served raw cauliflower with the fish at the maincourse). I also had to leave with my hair wet since it was only 1 hairdryer in the changing room - and it was not working properly (cold air only).

Farris bad anmeldelse Welcome: Farris bad is easy to find if you have access to a gps and know how to operate it! Recommend to park just up the street (70 meter) this option is free, which gives you 260Kr to use inn the bar. Check-inn: At check in we were greeted with excellent service and information. The staff appeared friendly and welcoming. we were a bit late, so the reception postponed our dinner reservations without any hassle. After check-inn: we went to the bar to collect our free aperitif witch was a cava. It was nice and the staff were very welcoming. The Spa: You don’t need to pack swim gear since Farris bad are prepared to provide this for individuals that forget this. For men the swim gear appears as a comfy boxer-short in brown. For women it is a one-pice looking thing. The showers before you enter is nice and the music gets you inn a calm mood. It is 1 big poole with different water fall spots and bubble things. You have a highway where you can walk in warm water and cold water.(2 lanes in total) It’s 1 jacuzzi inside and one outside, 1 steam sauna down stairs and 1 steam sauna upstairs, 3 finish sauna in total, lots of different showers, 1 infrared sauna, 1 meditation sauna with low temp and herbs in the air, 1 section with finish sauna and jacuzzi and a stair down to the ocean so you really can get the authentic cold plunge. The late night package includes a tapas platter and some water. The platter was nice (7 out of then) and the spa was (8 out of 10) Breakfast: The breakfast was really good, the staff was really nice and quick to fill everything that was empty up. It was fresh bread, fruit, lots of vegetables, different kind of eggs, good bacon, good coffee and lots of fruit. (9 out of 10) The Gym: The gym had everything i needed to complete a good workout. The equipment was a bit outdated but it was versatile so it was definitely possible to train different parts of the body. It was towel’s there to grab, water outside and a aux port so you could play your own music. I noted mold in the ceiling they should definitely fix that. (6.8 out of 10) Check out: Check out went smooth and reception even gave us a late check out so we had more time at the spa. The lady at the desk wasn’t as pleasant as the guy from check-in the day before. She seemed bothered that i asked about the possibility’s off checking out later but granted the request which was really nice of her. She said it was something that wasn’t paid for and wanted me to pay it by card to check me out right there and then. When i said i would pay it when we were leaving by cash it seemed to really irritate her. When we left later on she didn’t charge me so maybe it was a mistake or she charged me by card even though i asked to pay it by cash. They didn’t really ask how our stay was or anything like that but wished us a good day All in all: Farris bad is a nice place to go to relax but wouldn’t recommend having dinner there. But maybe find some local restaurant in the area. Would recommend staying for 1 day not the full weekend (this depends on how much you need it) Don’t splurge on nicer room since it wasn’t really that much better. The hotel is kind of sterile and the spa is the main attraction. Larvik is really nice if you have the weather with you, and it’s nice to walk by the beach! Total cost was (6330 if you don’t add anything and 6950kr if you add 2 glasses of wine, extra cost for main course + desert. Total point all in all ( 6.8 out of 10)

Everything was good. The only problem for me was that I couldn’t relax because of noice level . Other guest was super loud all over spa , even inside of saunas . Would be nice if staff could be around to make sure that quiet zones are actually quiet .

Went here with friends and i believe we had a good time. We pretty much enjoyed trying out the different spa/pools/saunas. The staff were friendly and accommodating to us and their food was delicious. Rooms were clean and beds were comfy so no complaints here. I think we drove for more than an hour from oslo but it was worth it☺️

Farris bad is a good spa and hotel, and the views are really nice overlooking the ocean. Breakfast was super lovely, with loads to choose from! We had a great first impression of the superior room, the bed was super comfortable and I slept really well listening to the waves at night with the balcony door open during the night. However, there was some stains in the bathroom, close to the toilet that I found a bit disgusting. Apart from some stains and dirt in the bathroom, the room itself was very clean. On the first day the spa area was really nice. It looked clean, not too many people and the events in the sauna was super fun. However, on the second day it looked like it had not been cleaned at all. Sand on the floor, loads of hair and dirt in the women showers and dirty toilets in the changing rooms. Did not enjoy this time in the spa compared to the day before. We also booked a massage in the hotel, but this was very disappointing... I was looking forward to get a nice massage, because I never treat myself to these things and with the price being almost 1500NOK I was expecting someone professional. The massage was way too "soft" and it felt more like the masseur was just lightly stroking on my back. I also specified that I wanted a "hard" massage, but I felt that the masseur did not listen to my wishes and needs. Left more stressed than I was before and I was very upset about the whole treatment.

Amazing amazing amazing ! The spa, the staff the baths, the sauna event❤️ But I have to give 3 instead og 5 stars since the food there is horrible. The burger my boyfriend had looked and felt like boiled and tastes like blehh, salt and spices is something the “chef” was not aware of is essential when cooking. Also- the pan needed a lot more heat to close the meat. My mussels had no salt or spices , the broth looked and smelled dirty sink water… I was so hungry and tried as I could to eat a bit of it. But I lost my appetite- 10/10 for the Prosecco though. Hope they get a new chef and fresher products into the kitchen- spices would also help.

My husband and I booked for 2 nights. Overall, we had higher expectations, but it was an okay experience. Pros: - The staff are incredibly lovely and happy to be there. Every question was answered, and they were very attentive. Fresh towels were brought each morning. - The bed was amazingly comfortable! Towels were soft and the in-room products smelled amazing. - The breakfast was decent with many options from traditional Norwegian breakfast to other options such as bacon & eggs, pancakes, etc. They also had delicious morning juices. Great start to the morning! - Access to the ocean was exceptional and view was lovely. - The evening sauna events (especially Matoma) were incredible! Such a relaxing and rejuvenating experience, and the instructor was awesome. - The couple massage experience was so nice, and our masseuse Torril was the sweetest! She has been there for 13 years, and she really makes you feel at ease. Cons: - Overall spa experience is not worth the price. The spa itself had few saunas, a few jacuzzis, and an okay pool. Cleanliness was decent. The bathing suits included were not high quality, and my suit specifically came with a small hole at the seams despite being brand new. Their spa was rated as top in Norway, but the experience and spa itself was not worth the money and offered no real uniqueness aside from accessing the ocean. - There were about 3 clocks in the whole spa, which makes being on time for daily sauna events a frustrating process of trying to stay near a clock. No phones are allowed either, so bringing a water-proof watch is recommended. - For the price they charge, the only thing included was breakfast, so other fees for things was insane. Room service charge was 95 kr itself and parking was not included even if you used their designated garage, which had very limited spots. After driving hours to get there, it was disappointing to stress over parking and then have to pay for it as well. Dinner and lunch were also not included. Again, if you are charging almost 4500kr/night, it would be nice to have some basics included. - The room was decent, but the bathrooms run small. Using the sink and shower caused quite a lot of water spillage. Conclusion, this is a one-time place to visit. The price doesn’t match the experience, but overall it’s okay at least to try it out.

Hit and miss, with poor attention to details and lack of service usually expected of a hotel that wants to be considered a luxury hotel (as stated with a sign in their front entrance) Hits: - beautiful hotel, and beautiful location - staff and employees as well as guests were respectful and nice - great cocktails at the hotel bar - pool and spa facilities were numerous and relaxing Misses and lack of attention to details: - shower and bathroom in our room was too small; not luxury level - made minimal effort to accommodate late check out by just 1hr even though we stayed for extra spa treatments with added cost - front desk did not help with our luggage despite seeing we were struggling. After checking out we had to drag out luggage to the storage room ourselves and to then retrieve it ourselves - bath towels in the rooms had big holes - bed spread on the bed had big holes - minibar had an empty bottle of coke when we arrived and even though we mentioned it to the front desk it was never removed or replaced during our entire stay - tissue paper not resupplied in the room for subsequent days until we asked for it - new bathrobes (dirty from use in the spa and massage oils following treatments) were also not provided for subsequent days until we asked for them - one corner of the swimming pool had black mold whereas most other areas were clean - they charged us for wine we didn’t order on our bill (which we couldn’t read and had to translate with Google because it was no provided in English despite knowing we don’t speak the local language) - a wristband was used to access spa areas and the room; it was uncomfortable, and the extra length of the strap was held together by an elastic band that was not easy to use and easily lost or broken then making the strap difficult to wear

Had my first visit yesterday. It's simply great. All personnel I've encountered were exceptionally delightful. The spa itself was flawless. Massage 10/10. Breakfast 10/10. Very clean. Although I've read some of the comments and one person mentioned coffe machines in the rooms, and Farris replyed that within half of year or so every room would have one. The reply was 3 years ago, and we did not have a coffe machine, which was a minor inconvenience. All in all, we had a memorable experience, looking forward to a long lasting tradition of visiting.

Loved my stay! I shut off the Aircon, opened the window and slept so good to the sound of waves crashing underneath. Great breakfast. All staff so caring and supportive throughout. Had an epic hour in a Milkbath in the SPA. Overall the perfect unplanned getaway!! The only thing I would complain about was guests being noisy in the quiet zone in the SPA. The cold pool indoors is like a magnet for young men wanting to show off their stamina and it should not be placed in a quiet zone I guess 😉 Or at least staff could make sure the guests are quiet. Keep up the great work!

Great hotel, beautiful views of the fjord. The spa is amazing and the spa staff are brilliant too. The only let down was the food at dinner but the restaurant staff were amazing at making up for it. 10/10 service, would definitely recommend this for a relaxing getaway.

The Spa alone is worth the trip in a top of the range hotel.

Great facilities, but annoyingly two roving groups of young men were speaking at full volume in the “quiet zones,” pulling swimsuits off of one another, and generally being disrespectful. For such a premium price it was a bit irritating.

There is no better spot to relax and enjoy a relaxing spa experience combined with the seaside view and proximity. Food is just amazing, with very diverse cuisine. The spa inside is huge, with 4+ locations where you can sit in jacuzzis, outdoor and indoor, and a lot of saunas, one of my favourite being the one facing the entire sea.

I was here with my boyfriend for our anniversary and it was wonderful. The ocean view from our balcony was priceless. It was so nice to wakeup and see the ocean shining. The spa was also very nice, although I do not have photos of it as the phone is not allowed inside. The dinner at the restaurant inside the hotel wasn't the best, but the breakfast buffet was fantastic with lots of smoothies and cold pressed juices.

A really nice hotel with good service. The spa is amazing and relaxing. They have some great packages on their website, which is very convenient and you don't have to think too much to organize good etc. The massage therapist are really good and professional. Me and my wife had a really good time here and looking forward to visiting it again.

An amazing property with plenty of activities, great room amenities and beautiful breakfast buffet but our favorite was the dinner three courses menu (AMAZING FOOD) The service stuff members in the restaurant were really friendly in the other hand others weren't that good, for example ( we didn’t like the greeting we received on the breakfast buffet from the restaurant manager that stands at the door of the restaurant, we also didn’t like the idea of handing us the cutleries at the restaurant entrance, it definitely can be Better) We recommend you to work a little bit more in this area. Overall we loved it and we will be back Well Done,

Wonderful stay we had after hiking in this beautiful country. The hotel is a stunning property, with a perfect location, access to a beach zone and an rooftop bar. The restaurant was ok, service great, but food nothing special unfortunately. The room was spacious and clean, designer to match the surroundings. The SPA is taken very seriously, you get intrsucted through the experience and get everything you need for a comfortable stay. Receptionists were very helpful. Thank you all for this great time we had!

We just had our wedding here and it was amazing! Beautiful location, lovely food, a spa with different rooms you couldn't even think of, near the train station, and all the staff really went the extra mile to make it feel special. Couldn't think of a more special place and many of the guests called it the best wedding they've ever been to. Couldn't recommend more highly!

The place is amazing. The rooms have an exceptional view to the sea. The spa and sauna installations are really, really goos. One of the best sauna spas i have ever been. It even has access to the sea directly from the saunas. You can take warm and cold baths using the sea. The mineral water spa was my favourite. Very relaxing. The food was good. But not my favourite. The self growth chicken or vegetables do not add a lot of flavour. The price is around 200€. Breakfast, saunas and spa are included. It is ideal to go with a partner.

World off ⏹ The rooms look just amazing, the spa facilities are very good as is the interior design. The staff is very polite and helpful! Make sure you read the flyers you will find inside the spa to choose what kind of experience you want to have and follow the instructions. Found many vegan options on the breakfast buffet: vegan cheese, vegan cream cheese, vegan yoghurt, fruits, vegetables, chia pudding. So thats awesome!! In general if you cant choose from the well or farris: Farris has better prices than The well, beautiful facilities, and.. SEA VIEW ❤️

Had a relaxing and fantastic stay as always, will be back. However, the main course at dinner was not satisfactory. Will try food at the bar next time, or one of the restaurants in Larvik.

Good hotel! We got upgraded, without any reason. So that was a nice gesture by the staff! The spa area is quite nice and spacious! My wife was also happy with her massage.
