Been here during the Viking Market Event 2019 (first edition) . The people were very open and willing to share with us their stories and some folklore legends. Various events are taking place here throughout the year (even a big rock festival during summer)

Cool place to visit.

Amazing recreation of a Meadhall. You could easily imagine it being used by a Jarl.

Fabulous place to visit with a great guide to teach historic facts within the setting - really makes you feel a part of the history.

A really nice initiative to capture the Viking culture. The premise is the Gilde hall being more then just for show. The hall is meant to be used for parties, gatherings and so on. This reflects in many ways the original purpose it served.

Very nice place. A chance to see how the vikings lived.

I recommend renting for a party or work event but isn't worth a visit by tourist.

Today was the fourth time I have visited the hall while in Norway and each time it is just as great as the last. Today we sat in the hall by the fire while he guide told stories of Viking lore, with English speaking guests present he even told the stories in English. I would highly recommend this hall as a must see when traveling here to the Midgard museum.

The hall is an impressive building, the Midgard Viking Festival of high quality and well organized.

An incredibly beautiful building and a fantastic area to walk around in.

Gildehallen på Borre is an * awesome* experience. The ambience, architecture, furnishings, etc, draw you straight into Viking times. Fill your drinking horn with øl and enjoy the sagas around the fire.
