I've been to see this sculpture museum and park twice now (in 2016 and 2021) and both times i really enjoyed it. The park is a really pretty walk and scultures are amazing, this is coming from someone who doesn't have much experience with art but enough to enjoy it :)

Small but fantastic museum with some truly unique statues from a few time periods with many artists. Highly recommend coming here and spending some time to marvel at both the small and large artifacts. The museum is laid out extremely logically by time period and category and the reusable museum map is well made and reduces waste.

Extraordinary and Atmospheric Museum of Great Artist In the several rooms of this interesting museum are presented sculptures and models that were created by well-known Norwegian artist Gustav Vigeland. There are concepts of sculptures that are now part of the bridge, fountain and obelisk in the park in Frogner in Oslo. Furthermore, in the museum are also several models that were never realised on the full scale (some of them showing Vigeland's visions of heroes of sagas and Eddic poems).

A wonderful building dedicated to the amazing Gustav Vigeland, and a must visit after a trip through the neighbouring Vigeland Park. The vision, drive and talent of this man is superbly documented and explained in the soaring spaces of this beautiful museum.

Very quiet - hardly anyone there. Got to see smaller versions of the park sculptures plus more.

This museum offers an introduction to Vigeland's art and craft. Visiting the museum first and then the Vigeland Sculpture park is more rewarding than visiting that park alone.

Wonderful place to visit independent of the park otherwise it’s too much on one day .

I really liked the Vigeland Museum, as it displayed the processes he used for his statues, how he went about sketching things with smaller and less detailed versions of his statues before Increasing the scale and detail. Very interesting overall and I'd say it's a good place for both people who are interested in art and those who aren't that much, cause it's still amazing to see.

The Vigeland museum has many of Gustav Vigelands plaster sculptures exhibited. This is the basis for many of the bronze statues in the Vigeland park. Great to see them close up.

Wonderful museum dedicated to the famous sculptor Gustav Vigeland. Located right next to the park that bears his name and many statues, it’s easily accessible via public transportation, either tram or buses. The exhibition itself is quite grand and extensive. Definitely worth a visit.

Visiting this museum before going to Vigeland Park will make you more appreciative of the sculptures and gain more knowledge about Vigeland's art.

We combined Vigelandsmuseet with Vigelandsparken, it was a great outing! The museum provides sculpture insights and information about the life of Gustav Vigeland. We had fika at Anne på landet after our walk and before the museum, I recommend you to do the same!

Some statues may be basic and boring but some were really interesting, depends on what you like about art.But one of the staff/security was very rude to me and kept only following me for some reason and not the rest and kept creeping up on me and talking to me about basic rules wich was very annoying and hard for me to enjoy it while someone keeps following me.

Very interesting museum, a „must see“ if you like the statues in the vigeland sculptures park. But the staff/cashier was very rude.

Amazing story of Vigeland's art and life. How did he work? The muzeum shows you every step in his life through his art.

A very nice museum, but I wish there weren't so much echo in the halls.

Glad that it was still open when I was walking to the park. If you got the pass ticket a visit it's worthy. I arrived 30min before the closure and it give me a quick opportunity to experience the sculptures displayed in the park. Walking through the room give you a magic effect that you won't get while working around the park.
