Removing two stars for the lack of alcohol free cocktails (they only had coke, fanta etc- i.e. the boring and unhealthy options) and for the bread crumbs on our table when we arrived. The food was good. We ordered full portions of everything and shared. The dishes were really big and we even had some leftovers to go. Pimientos de padron were great, papas arrugadas were ok with the red sauce being delicious, fried cheese came in with some sweet sauce so it was interesting to try and tacos de pollo were nothing to write home about.

We have been coming to Las Palmas twice a year for the last five years. After trying a lot of different restaurants in the Las Canteras area, Bodegon el Biberon stood out as one of the best that we found. The restaurant interior feels really traditional in an authentic way. The food has always been amazing. And the ladies and gentlemen who work there have always made us feel very welcome, despite us speaking hardly any Spanish. On our various holidays we have been to Bodegon about 3 or 4 times per trip. I would say that we are friendly, quiet and polite and thank the servers when anything is brought to the table. We usually tip around 15%, but have tipped more because it is such a lovely place. However, on our most recent trip to Las Palmas, things dramatically changed. We chose to visit Bodegon el Biberon on the evening that we arrived. Several of the usual staff were present but a young male server, who we had never seen before, was assigned to our table. It became very obvious, very quickly, that there was something about us that he did not like. He had a very abrupt manner, made no attempt to be friendly, or even smile, and almost threw the plates of food on the table. We observed him interacting in a friendly, chatty way with other clients. When we tried to attract his attention to order additional items and then eventually pay the bill, he seemed to be intentionally ignoring us. Having both worked in shops and had to deal with rude members of the general public, we assumed he was having a bad night, settled our bill, left a 15% tip (as the food and the other members of staff are always great) and left. My wife was really upset by this change of attitude at probably our favourite restaurant. We avoided going back to Bodegon for the rest of our visit. My wife did not want to return. But I persuaded her on our very last night to go back to the restaurant. Unfortunately, we were waited on by the same young guy. And despite our efforts to be extra friendly he was, unbelievably, even more rude than at the start of the week. We ate the three dishes and drank the beers that we ordered. We would have ordered more food and drink, but we could not stand his attitude any longer. I paid the bill and for the very first time, left no tip at all. Over the years we have been coming to this restaurant, we must have spent well over €1000. Maybe his attitude was down to our lack of speaking the Spanish language? Maybe it was our nationality? Maybe it was our ethnicity? But we are always polite and friendly. And we have had no previous issue at this restaurant. The management need to understand that one bad member of staff could completely ruin years of future business of a great establishment like Bodegon el Biberon. We are already booked for another trip to Las Palmas in 2024. But I don't think we will be going back to our favourite resta

Dropped in whilst visiting the nearby aquarium. It's on a bit of a back street but well worth searching out. Got an old school vibe to the decor. Food is great though. 2 of our party are gluten intolerant and one of the owner's family is coeliac and so they do gluten free option of all their dishes. Tuna and garlic prawns were really fresh, croquettes were great, cheese was amazing. Local wine was nice and surprisingly cheap. Best of all for us gluten free types is the baguette type bread they serve is amazing.

We had to queue for a table but it was worth the wait. Excellent food. Friendly service. Nice atmosphere. Good prices. This is much better than the tapas place we went to previously on the promenade.

Cool spot. Lots of energy. Not a tourist spot, but a place that's clearly been in operation for a long time. Big selection of tapas and very fair prices on wine and beer. Big tables. Check it out.

Extremely rude older bald waiter! Really stay away from this place! If you like arrogant, rude experience then this is your place. Instead go to La Tabernilla de Rosi. Only minutes walking distance from this place. Its run by a lovely husband and wife and the food is phenomenal! Dont believe me just go see their reviews and thank me later.

Made a reservation one hour upfront, it didn't seem to be a problem but on arrival there was no available table for us. They suggested to come back after an hour and see if they have a table. So big chance there's no table in an hour to....and keep us on the line. Good atmosphere, lousy service

Potatoes weren't good Gambas is too small, not enough for 1 person (it's almost like a starter) expensive, but very small amount

930 pm So far I'm half done with my meal and I feel like running away and punching the guy who adviced me to eat here.. Salad is off. Calamari has 0 taste and waiter is Manuel from Faulty towers. 10:19 must write this in Spanish..I'm too afraid of scaring ya!! Si queres saber a qué sabe lamer un inodoro de gas station, pues come en este restaurante.

A great place to visit in Las Palmas when in Gran Canaria. We found it by chance and it was very good. The fried cheese made with local cheese was great! They put fries and salad in every dish. I Recommend the broken eggs. The place looks nice and local and the beer is good

It's a nice place if you just want to have a beer, few tapas (I had bread with alioli and longorones - fried anchovies) and relax. You can sit both outside and inside. And inside is quite peculiar with a lot of jamons hanged around, old cash registers on the counter. It worth a visit.

It wasn't the worst, we ate it, but it wasn't good. We ordered 4 different dishes and 2 starters. Everything was flowing in fat and was not too tasty. The tomato marmolade was very good, that I admit. The service was nice, and the prices are very good, but we definitely won't be back for the food.

Cheap and cheerful, charming interior. The food was good, most things are fried. The wine list is extensive and good value but limited in wines from the island. Also they were out of stock of many things on the menu.

Felt easy and cozy. Traditional decor. Staff were helpful and cheerful. We had fantastic authentic food - gluten free as well! We're coming back this holiday for sure. Thanks for the lovely time

I've eaten here several times, and the food is always excellent. Some of the staff could smile a little more and be a bit happier. Not so many tables here, so will never be a mega atmosphere, more quiet and informal, but the place itself is great, lovely old building with masses of character. Thoroughly recommend.

This restaurant is amazing, especially if you have a gluten intolerance or you're a celiac. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, the food is excellent and very reasonably priced. If you have a gluten issue, but want to eat food from the island go here. Its the best food I've had since having to give up gluten. The GF bread is so good.

When we arrived in the late afternoon (reservation for 6 pesons) we where told to sit inside , because there are no more free tables outside.... while we were asking for additional table new arriving spanish/ canary guest got a new build table outside quickly.... no manners- thanks to our canary friends they build a new table also for us, as they had enough tables and chairs inside... as I come to las palmas quiet often I avoid this restaurant.... unfriendly- I do NOT like, how they treated us....

Good enjoyable food served in a traditional bodega type bar. We started with the fried strips of aubergine and honey very nice, followed by the croquettas somewhat dry and over cooked and the a very nice stew of ropa vieja.

Fake iberico (it is a standard ham) and many of the dishes taste just like potato... You can find something better

great service, the Carne de cabra (goat meat) was tender and absolutely delicious. Berenjena frita (fried eggplant) was also yummy. Recommend.

😠 This site is terribly bad. It is FAST FOOD, that is a mixture of PRE-COOKED by-products. In case someone hopes to find fresh ingredients or home-made ingredients, which is what they sell in their menu. Pot sauces, some canned ingredients, potato chips, industrial nachos ..... and so it could go on...

👍👍 Whenever I go to the clinic for an analysis, I have churros with chocolate for breakfast, they are quite good and they serve you quickly. I always order it to go, but it has plenty of tables and even a terrace if you prefer to eat there. Prices have gone up a bit. To park more or less easy but you...
