The view is really good and you will sit directly at the beach. However neither food or service stand up to the price. The restaurant is very pricey, the service is mediocre and the food we had wasn't very good. The medium steak was almost rare and the Carbonara was mostly greasy.

A beautiful location and very friendly staff. Food however is far from being a typical Spanish cuisine. Very overpriced - a typical tourist trap with a direct sea view. I would recommend it for a drink though.

The food was delicious we ordered the fish plate for two. Also the wine excellent. However when I received the receipt the price was with extras things. So especially for the tourists careful because they charge you more. 😊

We had a fish paella dish and a local beer. It was super tasty. The fishes included in the paella were fresh. The service was gentle.

Puntilla dishes was great and delicious if you order a table cheese and combine them. The solomillo also was great but it was a lot of food.

A very busy restaurant! We arrived early evening and were lucky enough to get a beach table as someone was leaving. The service from the young lady we had was impeccable. We ordered the mixed grill €55 and 1litre Sangria €22. The waitress informed us of the wait of 50min but it was very much worth it. We took in the lovely sunset and drank Sangria. Whilst waiting so many people were turned away. A few lucky ones got tables as people left. Once the food arrived all the different meat melted in the mouth. There was more than enough for 4 people in my opinion if you ordered extra fries or potatoes. We took a doggy bag home and had the rest for lunch. Definitely will return if coming to Las Palmas again. 10/10

Everything was great. We had mixed paella, fish paella, white and red sangria (the best I've tried so far). The bill was around 100€ for four people, so it wasn't expensive either. Overall, it was a truly enjoyable dining experience that met our expectations.

Nice food, price acceptable but service is slow and sometimes the staff forgets that you are waiting for food or for paying. 43 eur Calamari, puntillas and papas arrugadas for two persons

The food was so good here that we ate here twice. The mixed grill was incredible, portions were large and it was great value for money, one of the best I've ever had!

This place was really packed but we managed to grab a last minute sit. Food: We had the mixed grilled fish (for 2 people). The plate was quite big and good, it had a nice presentation and tasted really good. For our tastes it would have been nice to have a few more shrimps and alike but that’s just us preferring shellfish. The food took a few minutes to be served, which is a good sign (actually cooking stuff and not serving precooked meals) and it’s totally ok. Service: Nice, fast, pleasantly chatty and in general very good. Location: It’s split in two, one side has table in the restaurant the other basically on the beach, in general there aren’t many tables though. Price: 70,50€ for a grilled fish platter (55€) and a bottle of white wine (15€). Not super expensive, especially for the location.

Our 1st night in Las Palmas and decided to go to a Spanish restaurant, well have to say we choose the right one. Paella was delicious, the seafood was so fresh. We also had the garlic prawns and the Canarian potatoes which were very tasty. Would definitely recommend a visit to this restaurant

The view is beautiful, the food is delicious but the waitress was very rude! Expensive meal and bade treatment makes me to not come back!!!

Well, the food is quite good. The location of the restaurant is perfect. The sitting options are great, but those stars go down because of the slow and not very nice service. I wouldn't go there again but also I wouldn't say it's totally bad.

Had the fish paella and the shrimps as starters. Food and location was good. Recommend that you book in advance, since they have limited spots.

Most staff doesn’t speak english but everyone are friendly. A lot of food, the paellas are for two, but we could only eat half of the amount per person. The have several different paellas, we tried the seafood paella and vegetable paella, both were good. Great sangria.

It is a good restaurant with pretty good food, but don't expect it to blow your mind. The service is only average and they don't have and English menu, which makes choosing a dish somewhat difficult and time-consuming (Google translate for the win!). I'd recommend trying this restaurant once, if you're in Las Palmas, but wouldn't go back again.

Very nice and kind service. I only had glass of wine and garlic shrimps which tasted great. It is at the beach, super nice view :)

Service is a little bit slow but since the scenery is wonderful, time is nothing. The service crew are very friendly and accomodating. Food was served hot.

I came here last night with my friend and was promptly greeted by Rabab, who was our server. She suggested some food items for us, as well as beers and everything was perfect and delicious! She was very attentive and caring. The food I loved because it was not items I’ve had before / very frequently. Very impressed with how everything turned out! Definitely plan to return! Thank you, Rabab!

Amazing food , amazing place to eat. We had lunch everyday , the service was great .thank you to the waiter ( Charli) was a very nice with us.. Grilled sardines and sea food paella big yes

place is very cosy, on the promenade, grilled sardines were fresh and tasty, tomato salad was fresh, even if no more than a sliced tomato. The strangest thing is that I ordered “not cold” water and was brought an (already opened) bottle which must have been at around 40 degrees (air temp was 22). indeed it was “not cold”! Service was excellent and punctual, although very busy (it’s true that a blonde tall lady is there with the others but remains very relaxed and never goes to the tables! ). Addendum: I felt very bad all the night but can’t pinpoint with certitude to the food.

We had a lovely time at el Tipico Español: the waitress was kind and advised us properly about portions. The food was delicious and came out fast even though it was quite busy. Aioli was to die for, just like the mussels in the wine sauce! Huevos rotos was good, we never had it so it was a fun experience to try!

Located on the Paseo las Canteras, offers a selection of classic Spanish cuisine. There are numerous eateries along the Las Canteras, but you will not miss El Tipico Español highlighted by the bright lights and signage. Offers indoor and outdoor seating and good ocean views. Menu is a typical mix of classic Spanish dishes. Wine and spirits are on the menu as well. Recommend Hot Green Pepper and Garlic Prawns as starters. If you are a group or more than two persons make sure you try the Paella. Good selection of Grilled Fish on the menu as well. Reasonably priced considering the location.

Simply food made with the most freshest of ingredients. It was our first meal in Las Palmas and one of the most memorable.

As this place is close to the apartment we are staying at, we couldn't miss out in this restaurant. We had a spot at the seaside so could enjoy the view on the beach. The dishes are not something we are really familiar with but the waiters are kind to help. The food was delicious, we enjoyed every part of it.
