Outstanding food - we had the tacos which were deliciously crispy with lovely piccante guacamole and salad on top. I can echo the recommendation from another reviewer for the strawberry margarita. The chili, salt and sugar mix on the rim is a nice touch. The minimum order is a half pitcher, so you'll need a companion who isn't boring and just wants a Corona. Or just drink the lot yourself :-) Great atmosphere - really colourful inside and clearly popular with locals. Thanks for the friendly service!

Made a very good experience with the food here, you can see a Starter we shared in the picture, afterwards I had enchilada and my boyfriend Mole poblano. We enjoyed our meal and the Service was very nice, as well the atmosphere in the Restaurant!

The best restaurant I went to in Gran Canaria and one of the best Mexican restaurants I have been anywhere. The service is great and really friendly. The food is very traditional, authentic and full of flavour. An excellent selection of Tequila and Mezcal rounds off the experience. All very reasonably priced.

So our last night here in Las Palmas and we went for Mexican. What can i say, but what a fab place. Little side street restaurant, blink n you'd miss it. Marco was brilliant, very helpful and attentive. We put our tastebuds into his hands and we were not dissappointed, from start to finish everything was homemade, even the nachos and the food was amazing. The sliced habeneros in oil were hot, hot, hot. Dessert of chocolate mousse was served with nachos yep i know but it worked. We will be going back the next time we are over. Thank you Marco for making our last night one to remember.

What a great place! Truly authentic Mexican food. It was a bustling venue on weekend but they still managed to find room for us without a booking! We really enjoyed the chicken mole and a great Chile con carne. Generous portions and reasonable prices. Plus the frozen mango daiquiris were hard to put down! They have gluten free (corn) tacos!

This was a superb discovery for us. It is a family run Mexican restaurant serving delicious food. We fancied something different and tasty, this didn’t disappoint. Upon entering, we ordered margaritas made with mezcal, they were excellent, the glasses were coated with salt and fine chilli flakes. They really helped to prepare the palate for what we were about to eat. My wife had the mango margarita and I would definitely have it the next time we go. We went for the guacamole as a starter and, as my wife and kids aren’t massive enthusiasts of spicy food, it was made mild, but I was given a separate bowl of marinated chillis to add to my dip and tortillas. This was excellent, as it meant that no one had to compromise on their own chilli tolerance. Having easily devoured the entry level chillis, I was given two more bowls to have with the mains that increased the heat for my portions. The kids had the children’s menu of burritos which were full of flavour, the best we’ve ever had. Whilst the adults went for the enchiladas and tacos. The flavours were deep and rich with cool guacamole and sour cream. For dessert we had the tres leche and chocolate flan. Both were great, but the chocolate flan served with warm tortilla chips definitely had the edge. The service was excellent. We were made to feel very welcome and there was a lovely atmosphere. Don’t be put off by the fact that it is small and tucked away in a quiet street. It is well worth a visit. We will certainly return.

First time here and the food was Soo good! I only wish it came with sides but I'd definitely go back. If you're looking for Mexican food in Las Palmas this is the place! The waiter spoke English too which was nice.

The best mexican restaurant we have eaten on this island. Small place but cozy and nice Ambiente. The food was delicious and authentic. If you need it really spicy you will get it really spicy. The waiter was super friendly and attentive. We can only recommend to eat here. We had one “Chilaquiles with Tinga”, “Enchiladas” and “Mango Margarita”. We will definitely come back with more friends. And this is not a threat. 😝😄

La picantina is only the best (mexican) place I ever ate, we go several time every year. The owners are super nice. There is a large selection of mezcal and tequila that you can try. Delicious meals of chicken, beef or vegetables. You cannot come to Las Palmas and not eat there !!!

Most tasteless Mexican food I’ve ever had. Clearly everyone who gave a good review has never been to Mexico and ate real Mexican food. And pricy for quality we got which is small portions and food with no taste. We got mole &cochinita pibil which is supposed to be flavorful but it’s so watered down and tasteless, I don’t know how anyone can like it. If you had real mole and cochinita pibil you would know. You can make food tasty without making it spicy (I don’t even eat spicy food but I like flavorful food). I also found every single ethnic restaurant in Spain to be super tasteless, I guess to cater to the locals… but still, we come to a Mexican restaurant to have flavorful food after seeing the great reviews but only to find out it’s tasteless like all the ethnic & local restaurants here.

The great Mexican restaurant in Gran Canaria! Service was great, food was amazing. We had strawberry and mango margaritas! Definitely must try! for the food we had Chilaquiles with pork meat! amazing nachos, the best ones 🫶🥰 and the second dish was Male Poblano, we liked it but for us it was quite unusual dish, but tasted really good. everything was homemade and very tasty 🫶
