I wish we had read the other reviews on this page first before eating here. As others have said, it's a tourist trap. The prices are sky high and the quality is rock bottom. I ordered muscles as a starter and they were undercooked but just about eatable. My wife tried one of them and it was rotten. The fish she got was just sad looking, not much flavour and came with deep fried potato lumps and a strange salad in a cabbage leaf. My "gourmet" Kobe beef burger was anything but gourmet. I'd be surprised if it had been anywhere near Kobe beef in its life as well. The table was slid out so my wife could sit because it's sooo packed with tables. It was a bit claustrophobic having so many people sitting so close. The service was super fast. Our cocktails, bread and starters were all brought at the same time. Waiting staffs attitude was generally dismissive and uninterested. They just wanted us in and.out as fast as possible. Avoid it all costs

Grand italia…. If real Italians were to walk by this place, they would stop living immediately! Nothing italian about this! The owner was screaming at the staff, being rude to customers and that vibe reflected in the behaviour of personal and atmosphere in the restaurant. Food wasn’t great as well, but for The older tourist probably ok ish. You know the drill, a gazillion types of meat, pizza and pasta, all without any quality standards. Worst thing is that this place is Illegally advertising prices without tax. This is not compliant with Spanish law. To the owner, I will report this to the authorities! What a Sad way of doing business! Never again

First time I got bounced from the restaurant haha. I was with my gf we both weren’t wearing beach clothes or anything off. The guy at the door looked at us and told us after some hesitation that the place was fully booked however, it was more or less half empty at 9pm. Happy we didn't “get in”. I wonder why there are still places with such an arrogant attitude toward customers exist.

Big extensive and exotic menu. Something for everyone. It reminded me of the film everything, everywhere, all at once. They're big. The tables are small, the plates are big, the chairs very heavy. Minimum order for the specialist steaks is 500gr, though advertised as per 100gr. I ordered a venison fillet with Barolo wine sauce. The meal was 'complimented*' with daily vegetables and roast potatoes (* Possibly 'insulted' is a better description) - this has had to be the saddest bunch of vegetables I have ever seen. Devoid of any colour, vibrancy and crispiness. On pointing this out, it was exchanged for a salad. Run of the mill, but compared to what came before, this salad was a culinary masterpiece. It was busy, very popular with families, as the menu was sure to please even the pickiest of eaters. This also had the effect of me being able to follow episode 6 to 9 from Dora the Explorer and a full cartoon of Transformers. Simultaneously. On full volume. We had a good steak. But not a good experience.

FOOD 3/5 Completely average food, not good, not bad. The menu was incredibly overwhelming with over 150 dishes that were just pasta, some of which were either very bad translations or just total wild cards (see banana stuffed pasta for a main and surprise English soup for pudding). I felt they focused on trying to do everything and ended up doing nothing well. Their best dish by far was the pizza l but we all felt slightly disappointed by our meals. I wouldn't recommend the steak. We ordered two different steaks which both came out cold with a side serving of over cooked veg and very average wedges. They did good cocktails and the home made puddings were all nice. SERVICE 4/5 Lots of servers milling around, service was quick and it was easy to get their attention. ATMOSPHERE 4/5 We sat outside where there was a lovely view of the sunset. It was a very busy restaurant so there was a lively vibe. Be warned it is not very well protected from the wind so it was a bit chilly in the evening! (We visited in March however so this might not be an issue in summer months). VALUE FOR MONEY 3/5 Far too expensive for the quality of the food, but you are paying for the view. Most of the mains were between €12-€20 with most sitting around €18. OVERALL I would not come back here and I would only recommend it if you want drinks with a view (although I'm sure there's plenty of places where you can get this). When we tried to book the day before and the host said he didn't accept bookings and told us to come at 5.50 to ensure we got a table. Needless to say when we arrived they asked us for our booking... We were a party of 10 and for some reason they sat us on separate tables of 6 and 4 claiming covid rules, when as far as I'm aware there are not currently any restrictions on such things in Spain. This put a slightly sour start to things as we were celebrating and we all wanted to sit together!

The most horrible restaurant experience I’ve ever had, the so called “owner” was not only rude but decided to get violent with my boyfriend who was only pointing out his disrespectful behaviour. He actually PINCHED and THREATENED him. I, my family and the other customers stood in complete disbelief. He’s lucky we didn’t press charges or were the type of people to escalate his violent behaviour. Please, if you know what’s good for you, avoid this restaurant.

I ordered the T-bone steak. The steak was under cooked, it was gray, no flavour the sauces were terrible. I just don’t understand how you can absolutely destroy such a fine cut of meat. If you go there just get the pizza. The pizza was alright but the sauce is way to sweet.

The place is ok for a dinner out during holidays . Nice views to the beach which is great as perfect to watch the sunset .A bit overpriced for the service which is very slow to be honest . We waited over an hour for a pizza for the kids while we were having the starters . We ended up 2 hours in the place which was not even full . The pizza it’s ok nothing special . The main dishes are also just average . I think they are overwhelmed and don’t have enough staff to make it work.

While we walked around the restaurant, we noticed a long queue and thought that the restaurant must be really good. The next day we went for lunch and the food was just ok. In summary, it is an average place if you’re hungry and want to eat something with a good ocean view.

One of the nicest meals I've had in a long time. Huge starter and delicious main. Would definitely recommend.

Super busy but efficiently run Italian restaurant. The food menu is huge and the food was fabulous. Best to book a table as it gets super busy. The head of service could have been more organised and a lot more friendly, he ignored some people in the queue and talked to others. The waiting staff however were great.

Fantastic restaurant offering delicious fayre. Located right on the promenade, a must visit. The Provelone starter and linguine Alfredo were to die for.

Great food. Value for money. And you get a wonderful view of the ocean and depending what time you're there...a beautiful sunset 🌇

Really great food, friendly staff, fairly to high priced. Only feedback would be the menu needs a trim to be fair. There are so many choices.

Could be the best Italian food in Maspalomas. We had Pizza, Pasta, and Appetizers. The pizza was outstanding and I recommend it. Everything else was good to very good. The service can be slow at times, but if you get a place at the window you have the best view to make up for it. :) The place (like it's neighbors) is more pricey than the Maspalomas average, but it's a nice atmosphere with reliable food.

I have had two meals at this restaurant, one was a budget meal (basically pizza) nothing to write home about, the other was a quite expensive meal with all the bells and whistles (this was amazing) The moral of the story is, you get what you pay for. The staff were friendly and helpful and the gelato was to die for. Definitely try it, it is one of the highlights. If you spend a little more on your food than you might normally, it really is 5/5 or 10/10 depending on your scale.

Quick service, however a bit stressful and impersonal impression with many different waiters. I really enjoyed my carpaccio starter with truffle and fresh sea bass for main course. However my boyfriend was really really disappointed with his pasta carbonara which was super dry and tasteless without any love put in it. He couldn’t even finish it. View was amazing though. But I wouldn’t go back. At least not for the pasta.

Beautiful food, everything perfect, a real experience with great service.

The food was ok, even tasty. The environment is also very nice. The service is bad, since we had to wait 15min to order + 30min to receive our plate. Everyone around who ordered starters was receiving the plate before us. Prices are indeed higher than everywhere else.

We go to Grand Italia. The good and service are always excellent. Also large range of desserts including an ince cream parlour next door.

5/5 as this place has the best gelato / ice cream I’ve had in many years. Recommend everyone to stop here and try it out. Many fantastic flavors, creamy gelato (and sorbets) As for the restaurant next door with the same name we also liked. We rate it a 4/5. Was good to get some classical Italian dishes. They had a massive selection, and all felt that this was one of the better meals we have had in Maspalomas.

The waiter was very nice. We ate a pizza for lunch with a salad. The place is clean and tidy. It is close to the beach. The pizza was delicious. Everything was fine. I would gladly recommend it to others if they want Italian food.

Service was super good! Menu list was long and variable, something for everyone. We ate swordfish and Grand Italia salad. Swordfish was great, salad big and ok taste. Sangria was super! Pizzas looked good too.

👍👍 This is the spot. 12€ for a buzz on the main drag? Color me there. Not without a honorable mention of our awesome Italian server: Teresa!
