My favorite place to go and lay down a picnic blanket to read a book! Lovely ambiance, so many varieties of flowers, lots of cool corners, a true gem in the middle of the busy Las Palmas environment. It’s nothing grand like Central Park or Jardin du Luxembourg, of course - it’s a small island after all. However, it’s really an oasis that inspires and relaxes. Something about this place really allows me to slow down, ground myself in the moment, and truly appreciate the surrounding scenery. Would recommend at least a quick stop to enjoy the flowers and greenery!

Such a beautiful park with bus stops, shops restaurants and Street being cleaned every morning. For the kids, there is a beautiful playground just behind the Elder museum. Wonderful gardens and greenery add up to the charm of this park. Loved it!

Beautiful and serene environment with wonderful staff and facilities. The best hotel in Las Palmas hands down and well worth the price. They have an amazing breakfast buffet and a very good bar tender on the rooftop bar. Hotel Santa Catalina, not to be confused with the park!

Well I don’t know what’s the famous about the spot but maybe I’m missing some background. Small park but it’s alright.

Lovely little "utility" park. A lot of places to eat, bus stops, police station, and nice place to rest while looking at some young skaters:)

Love las palmas the energy all the little cafes very nice . Food average but scenery very nice typical food great for a coffee or a wine . Never had amazing food anywhere in Las palmas . Typical fare .

Between the harbour Puerto de la Luz in the east and the Playa de las Canteras to the west, you’ll find the bustling district of Santa Catalina, where, especially along the Calle Mesa y López boulevard, most of the big stores can be found, including two branches of Spain’s largest department store El Corte Inglés, as well as specialised shops and elegant boutiques. The heart of this district is the big and busy Parque Santa Catalina – which is actually more of a square dotted with palm trees and flowerbeds than a park – where a sizeable slice of Las Palmas’ nightlife takes place. Numerous restaurants, bars, clubs and discos attract fun-loving locals and visitors until dawn.

As a Port town and cruise stop-over I couldn't fault it. Yes, it is heavily geared up for 'passing trade' but not prohibitively so. The main thing we we found endearing was the the politeness of its residence, something that came across throughout our round trip of the Canaries - and mainland Spain. Back to the town itself, wide open, bright, airy, clean for sure, no overflowing bins nor litter about the place, a total sense of pride in the place. I cannot speak about further inland as we didn't have much time to seek out other towns or villages, but if our experience is anything to go by, I can't see them being a disappointment. This was our very first visit to the Canaries as a whole package and I'm sure there are other more frequent travellers with different stories to tell, but personally, we found all the locations we stopped to be a breathtaking contrast to UK. It just goes to show what a bit of effort can really achieve. Go, people, and be amazed.

An excellent place to socialize. Lots of choice with a range of restaurants and bars. There's always great life about the place. It seems to be a gathering place for tourists and local. Shopping also available close by.

Amazing place to stop off from a cruise ship , shopping and taking in the most desirable views, relaxing in the sun whilst people watching from a beach side bistro, there are plenty of these along the sea front serving pastries and cakes. Lovely little restaurants for a lunch time meal, a must see museum in the Square. Plenty to see on our walk Unfortunately time was not on our side , but will try to re visit in the future.

Viihtyisä pienehkö puisto . Useita ravintoloita puiston reunalla joissa voi syödä sisällä tai ulkona. Puiston yhdessä päädyssä on paikallisten suosima pelipaikka. Toki pelaamaan voi turistitkin osallistua. Pöydät olivat niinä kertoina kun siellä kävimme aivan täynnä. Siellä voi pöytien ääressä pelata shakkia, dominoa jne.

  • 4/5 Marjo M. 5 months ago on Google
Iltaisin tapahtuu ja väkeä riittää. On karaokea, biletystä, syömistä ja juomista. Monta ravintolaa vieri vieressä. Tunnelmaa löytyy.

Prague Santa Catalina is nice, in one of its part you can find a mosaic with flags of all countries, but children playground is in reconstruction right now, technical museum worth to see even with small children😎

  • 5/5 Star R. 11 months ago on Google
Santa Catalina is a very nice park. I can recommend going there. It's kinda small but there's lots of things you can do. There's the Muelles shopping centre right next to it. You can take a red "sightseeing tour" bus, 25€ but it's really worth it. It's an hop on/off tour and was a lot of fun. There's some cafes and shops near which is also very nice. There's the museum of science. There's the aquarium. A very nice park, also good for taking pictures if you are interested in that. Theres a bis station, where you can take a bus to the other side of town. Also there's a playground for kids nearby. Very animal friendly park.

We were only there for the end of the las Palmas Carnival Parade. At that time the park was set up with a large stage and they were rehearsing. The carnival parade takes place every year in February and in Maspolomas in March.

Really vibrant and busy place in Las Palmas. I liked it much more than San Telmo. There is a lot of coffee shops around, and it's pretty cool in the night. Bustling and lively place. Also, the people in the touristic center are super nice.

  • 3/5 M M. 1 year ago on Google
A nice but small park. A landmark of sorts in the Canteras beach area in Las Palmas and a place to find information and tickets for the local buses (Guaguas). Some restaurants/cafes around also. Loved this lady they had a statue of, Lolita Pluma ❤️

One of the emplematic placess in Las Palmas, must be visited. To there has a good public transport or you can use a taxi. A lot of resturants and shops on that area. This is the area where are prepared most of the carnivals

A central meeting point in Las Palmas. Las Canteras is 5 minute walk, the bus station is here too and lots of great restaurants.

Rather open yet lacked vibe or atmosphere

  • 2/5 Starboy Devgan R. 3 years ago on Google
Although a historic park, nowadays the place is a fairly rundown, quite filthy and the ambience is far from being nice most of the time. It's the heart of the carnival in the capital, but that's all there's to this park.
