Extinct volcano giving spectacular views across the east side of the island, from Las Palmas in the north to the airport and beyond to the south, and across to the higher mountains in the middle of the island. If you have a car you can drive all the way to the top, or a bus will drop you by the neighbouring caldera and then you can walk up the road, which spirals around the peak and is about a mile long. There are steep drops on one side of the road, if you're nervous with heights, but the views are well worth it.

Amaizing places! Well worth a hike around and into the caldera. Easier going down and harder getting back up again, as the track is steep and quite loose gravel in places (so good, solid trekking or sports footings advised; flip-flops or sandals out of the question). You will do 2-3 km going down or then up that 200 meters elevation difference (caldera's depth) that will turn out to be an intensive, welcomed and well deserved exercise - make sure you're fit and hydrated. At the bottom of it, use the 1 km diameter rather flat bed to streck and walk around... It is surreally beautiful, nice, quiet and the vibes from the surrounding rocky walls, old farming houses and the Nature itself are so welcoming! Very nice experience indeed!

Magnificent place very close to Las Palmas. Bus to there goes every 1 hr so plan accordingly. Then you need to walk ~25min to get to the top. However, it's worth it because the views from the road as you walk, are incredible. It's really nice on the top, but I had more fun walking up/down from there, because all the nature and views I saw from the road.

Nice and easy loop hike around an old rim. It's worth also a short detur until the peak nearby, the view is spectacular.

A great place for a short hike. You can park at the beginning of the road which leads to the golf club - but make sure to stay on the public sid, because the parking lot and a part of the road to it are private. From there you find a lot of paths to hike. It took us about one hour and 3,49 km to go around the monument, which is a hike with a great view but some slippery parts, but you could also go down to the middle of it or up the road for a nice panorama.

Beautiful place. A dormant volcano. At an altitude of about 600 meters. I will visit again. 😁

This presented an interesting challenge for the coach driver. This viewpoint is at the top of a very tall "hill" and you can obviously see all round, including a large crater. Basically a big dip in the ground. Worth a visit for photos. No toilet facilities, no staff or anything like that, just turn up climb the 16 steps and enjoy the view

Hiking around caldera was super. You can find starting point of the trail behind golf club at the left side from the parking. Dont forget to go to the Pico also.

After you go up to the top spot, on the way back take left turn towards golf club hotel, before heading the return path. You may park at the very end of the road and start an amazing hike around the volcano skirts. It is amazing!

I recommend going up to the top of the hill for a nice view, and then walking around the crater. The walk is roughly 1hr and not difficult. Easiest starting point is probably to go past the little village.

Interesting view & story behind a pioneer of the island. If you've got altitude sickness beware & jesus... BRING WARM CLOTHES. The wind will surprise you up there & there's no shelter, not even a bathroom.

Short Hike from Bus Stop. Outstanding view of the whole island.

Very nice to hike, for fast and experienced hikers possible in <1,5h around. Incredible view from almost every side. Rather walk around than inside ! Parking space around is available, no costs. On my tour, i've seen around 15 people, not more. The track is walkable with normal sportshoes, but NOT WITH FLIPFLOPS ! A "Must have been there" spot for Gran Canaria travelers, really ! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A great view of the crater and valley. Missing some basic stuff such as toilets, parking, a proper place to sit, a coffee place and maybe offer a few hikes

Stunning amazing views over an imploded volcano crater and the capital city, the ocean and port and surrounding areas. It was very lush and green. Only a couple of benches and the toilets were open. Steps up to the very top where their was a little craft stall. It was a windy road up in the coach and roadside parking only their. Well worth the road up as beautiful.

Nice vieuw and just fun to have seen. On top is a little house with a souvernier salesman who actually liked to give info and stuff rather than sell his wares so that was a bonus. The adjacent crater is also nice to walk the path on, maybe youll find some nice rocks with lavaglas and stuff. Just to bad there was no restroom.

There is a great view from one of the volcano craters in Gran Canaria. It can be easily accessed by car or public transport.

Getting to the top can be a bit difficult for less experienced drivers. However, the view that stretches from the top completely rewards the hardship of the journey. Unfortunately, there is no working toilets in this place.

Challenging hike on unstable terrain but worth it for the views. Don't forget to take some water with you

Great story... Study a bit on volcanos before you embark in the hike to both crater and peak and with some imagination you can feel the life and death of the volcano.

For sure check this out! It is awesome. Pictures dont do it justice.. a regular camera cant comprehend how huge this is. It is worth it.

It's amazing to see what nature can be like. With a view on the caldera de Bandama you can imaging what kind of impact a volcano eruption can have. The view from the viewpoint provides a 360° lookout over the environment. At this moment the building there is closed so no option to go to the toilet I'm afraid.
