Beautiful Gothic church in Aruca. Pity it was shut but I had seen this church 14 yrs ago aswell & it still looks good 👍😁

What a suprise inside. We really did not expect the interior to look this way. Very unusual internal architect and interesting design. The stained glass windows and ceilings look lovely. Worth having a look if you in town. Free entry. Large carpark next door.

Definitely worth the stop while in Gran Canaria. I suggest parking nearby (we parked about 6 blocks away) and walking into the church. The stained glass windows are simply remarkable.

Very old and very beautiful architectural, religious masterpiece from Gran Canaria. Visible from all around the area, the church is a definite symbol from the small settlement.

The outside of this church looks amazing, the style is quite recognizable but that's obviously what makes it look so good. Of course you need to see this on a really sunny day, the inside will also look better. We were a bit amazed by the interior, it looked smaller on the inside. Unfortunately we were here with a tour and only had about 5 minutes to take a look around. We recommend to take your time and shoot some nice pictures!

Nice church. It looks smaller on the inside than you would think from the outside.

Nice destination on the island. The town was well-kept and attractive. The small park invites you to linger, we weren't in the upper, larger park. The church and its forecourt were very beautiful to look at and encouraged to take photos. There are some restaurants and small shops. I only liked the church from the outside; it wasn't worth seeing from the inside.

Entrance fee is 5 euros, the church is about 100 years old. Nice to visit if you are nearby. No comparison to the great continental churches, but impressive for a private project from the last century

Nice place, but it looks like it doesn't fit in with the rest of the buildings around it. Up close it looks a bit like it was made of large Lego bricks.

Wow didn’t expect such a beautiful peace of art almost in the middle of the island! Take the time to discover the small town of Arucas, too. The parking nearby is free.

Seems like a great place to visit. Be careful as on Sundays tourists are not allowed to enter the church.

Arucas, the rum capital: we were impressed by the San Juan Bautista cathedral.architecture, built on the site of an old hermitage, the neo-Gothic building that stands today, completed in 1977, is in no way similar to the previous construction. Aruca is also the birthplace of Arehucas rum, the most famous rum in the Canary Islands but we did not have the chance to visit the factory.

Beautiful outside! Nothing special inside if you are used to visiting cathedrals. It's not worth going all the way to Arucas just to see it. But there are many cafés and restaurants nearby. You can combine this visit with a trip to Firgas, a pretty little city that is 20 minutes away by bus.

Interesting architecture of this church. If you are in Arucas take the time to look around too. Great scenery to take pictures of.

Its a beautiful classic village with a impressive church, there is a free parking close to the church but be careful with some suspicious people asking for money to park the car, if you dont give them money they will most likely scratch your car as it happened to me.

Beautiful church complex. Possible to enter during mass to see space. The adjacent streets are also bustling with nice vibe to enjoy especially during the night.
