This is more of a 3 star hotel than 4. I stayed in a few other 4 star hotels and this one lacked these amenities: 1. No daily complimentary water bottle. I asked, they said it’s only free the first night. All the other hotels have two free bottles a day. 2. Cheap soap dispensers. They don’t distinguish between shampoo and conditioner, they use some cheap combination shampoo/conditioner liquid. And the face of the dispensers kept falling off whenever I pressed on it to get the liquid. 3. They only provide bath and hand towels. They didn’t have any washcloth. 4. They only had one towel hook for the room. I asked for a second one and they tried to use double sided tape to stick it up, but when I tried to put my towel on jt, the hook fell down from the weight. 5. There are holes in the wall they didn’t patch up. 6. There were burns in the floor as if someone dropped embers. 7. Hot tub was not accessible, they put up a rope to block access. 8. No microwave in the room 9. Fridge barely got cold even after I tried to adjust it. 10. The day to day cleaning was sufficient but there is some deep cleaning I wish was done to get rid of the black mold in the shower. On the outside and the lobby this felt nicely decorated. I would have preferred some nicer amenities in the actual room. It was near that there were smart features like buttons to turn all the lights on or certain sections of the room. Location wise I appreciated not being near crazy traffic. It was quiet and safe. Easy access to public transport.

Very nice and modern hotel with extremely helpful staff. Breakfast has a bit limited selection, and soundproofing is not that great, as you can hear others from the room. However, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. We would like to say a huge thank you to Cristina who made an effort and organised our romantic package. Also, Miriam who was looking after us during breakfast and dinner on the rooftop.

The hotel is ideally suited to have good access to the town, but next to a main road so some road noise. The rooms look nice the bead comfy and the shower is nice and powerful! However look a little harder and you see that this place while seemingly wanting to be a top end hotel it isn't. The food while I only had access to a set menu paid for by my company lunch was good, chicken leg and pan fried potatoes. During this meal my fellow workers and I discussed was is the tastier chicken leg, left or right? Apparently with lamb it does make a difference!?!?! Dinner this was a joke! Chicken and chips, essentially the same as lunch. The chips while good were just chips. The grilled chicken was both as bland and chewy. Thankfully breakfast the next day was much better, a buffet see the picture for an idea of what you get. Service ok they try and wait on you as best a possible. However my room was not ready when I arrived. I was asked told that they would ring when my passport was ready collect and I'd been checked, but I received no call. On the other hand I had room service tell me that my pick up was a 0800 and I got a call to my room saying the same. In short a good place but it is the inconsistency with everything that spoils it a little. If this was solved it would gain another star in my mind. The potential for this to be a great place is there! All people working here are good looking! Eye candy for all genders. Not totally important overall but it's nice too see, an ego boost for all working here after this quite critical review.

The hotel is very modern. It has a calm beach right out front. Parking is easy to find however the parking meters are a nightmare make sure to ask the reception for a recommended parking lot. The hotel has an app where you can ask for all addition requests. Our unfortunately didn’t work during our 6 day stay but the reception took all our request without a problem. Check in was smooth and they kindly held our bags until the room was ready. Only reason I can’t give it a 5 star is because the shower was not well taken care of in our room. It was very spacious however the shower plate was not well taken care of. It’s a pity because it’s a gorgeous shower! The whole decor of the hotel was very nice and the bed was super comfortable.

Positives: Good location, amazing and smiling staff (especially the girl in the breakfast room asking for "numero de habitación", she was very polite and smiling all the time), nice breakfast, nice design. I especially liked the bathroom cabin is visible from the bedroom (of course you can also hide yourself). Room is modern with Hi-Tech facilities, comfortable bed, wi-fi working well. Rooftop bar is also very nice. They gave us free room upgrade to room with sea view. Negatives: just small things: we found a cockroach in our room and killed it, and the sink in the room was so small you can barely fit your hands under the water; everything else was perfect.

Honestly, far from a 4 star hotel. The room is nice but a little small, but our room was extremely dark, there was no natural light as our window was out towards a wall. Quite a claustrophobic experience to be honest. The bathroom door and wall are transparent, so not so very private. But worst about the room, the beds had wheels on them??? So every time I turned around in the bed, the bed would move. Extremely annoying and inconvenient. The minibar was empty at arrival. There were two small towels, no bathrobe. One toothbrush. The soap dispenser in the shower had a cover falling off all of the time. The hairdryer didn't work. All of this could be excused if the roof top bar was any good, but do not make the mistake of eating here. Poor servers, at times they had way too much to do. They don't have the proper training and it almost seems like they have just been thrown in the restaurant to serve. The food was not good. Maybe for a small snack it would be ok. We actually had to find a kebab shop afterwards which had much better service and quality of food, which to me is a little shocking. With these facilities and resources it's a shame that the management literally ruins the most interesting aspect of the hotel. For reference we were guests here last year at the restaurant and it was a different experience all together. All in all I cannot recommend the hotel for anyone, maybe at a discount but honestly, not even then. I will not come back even if we get paid to do so. I would have written a better review if this was a 3 star hotel, but for a 4 star, you expect a lot more. And I'm sorry to say it's not on par with the rating.

Pretty average hotel. On some days there was no cold water from the tap. Non-premium rooms (not facing the ocean) are very dark. The lobby is noisy so not much chance to work there.

Very friendly helpful staff who help you to enjoy your stay within the beautiful rooms that have the mod cons that you wish you had at home.

It is a very conveniently located hotel. Very helpful staff and good food. Rooms are not very big but comfortable. Also has a lounge on the top floor where you can unwind. I was lucky to catch a live guitar performance!

Great hotel but i was hoping to have a jacuzzi or pool. The gym is small , no more than 2 people so it kinda kills the mood there. Food in the morning is alright for a quick snack. Parking is horrendous and very hard to find ,the streets are too narrow to safely park ,the hotel will give a discount, such as 70 euros per week for private parking nearby. I paid extra for sea view but i regret it because you couldn't see anything (the front window have somekind of a "blockers" for sun. Would i come back? No, not for 800£ The staff there were absolutely fantastic, thank you for your had work and pristine service.

We arrived here in December 2022 after a very tiring day and were lucky to find a room with them. Very grateful and impressed by the hospitality! The food at their Goa gastropub was good. We couldn’t experience their rooftop restaurant as it was closed. The room was very modern with smart facilities and quiet as well. It was a comfortable night.

Great location. Nice comfortable hotel but unless facing the front, rooms can be a bit dark. Buffet breakfast is very very good and staff very helpful. Close location to aquarium and the Las canteras beach n new town. Ideal fro walking and cycling in the area.

A very modern updated hotel. Very high tech. Ideal as a business hotel but not so good for an extended stay. Reception is extremely efficient. Sited on an extremely busy road.

Great hotel with friendly staff and stylish rooms. Our receptionist Daniel was honestly the friendliest and best receptionist I've had the pleasure of encountering so far. Also Alexander one of the waiters there was fluent in Spanish, English and German and was very friendly. The whole hotel is very well designed, however here are only a few negative things I noticed: The beach is on the other side of the barricaded street, so yes the hotel is more or less directly opposite of the beach but you need about 5 mins of walking to reach it via a pedestrian overpass. And since you are directly at one of the biggest streets in the cities it can be quite loud, so no open windows at night if you like it quiet. In the middle of the night lights in the room sometimes turned on for no reason. They have a useful smart lighting system where you can press different buttons to activate different light modes. It seems like that doesn't work quite as intended, or our lights might've accidently been connected to the neighbours room in some way. The rooftop restaurant is decent with a nice view but nothing special and rather expensive. Location 4/5 Cleanliness 5/5 Friendliness 5/5 Food 3/5 Price 4/5 In summary I would give this hotel an 8.5 out of 10

Having dinner gives you an amazing view of one of Las Palmas' beaches and distant sight of the mountains. I would like to suggest to have some light in the shower enclosure as I cannot see which is the dispenser for soap and shampoo. Also, it is great to have a usb outlet for charging It would be better to have it near the bed's desk. Stayed at room 107.

We went there to have cocktails at the rooftop restaurant and they tasted great. The view of the harbor and the coast is incredible and service was great. They even brought blankets for my mom and sister!

Very nice and new. But the hotel breakfast vas mediocre

  • 3/5 Eugenie K. 2 years ago on Google
I wouldn't recommend in the overall. Modern and clean hotel, but the soundproofing is mediocre, with noisy guests moving furniture all the times, evenings and nights, with no respect nor consideration for the other guests trying to rest and sleep.

Great hotel design doesn’t mean a great guest experience. The room had a shower next to the bed, apparently is a trend between hotels but it’s really annoying and a lack of privacy when you are sharing the room with someone. At night was really hard to sleep because the guests from another room at the same level was talking a lot and I could hear everything from my room. Really bad soundproof. Also, the breakfast was a bit disappointed. Despite have to book the time to go to the breakfast (I understand that was a small breakfast area), the options was very very short, not much variety and I could count one or two vegan option or lactose-free despite the (few) fruits (btw, the orange was a bit off). Anyway, the staff was really helpful and friendly and the bed was very comfortable.

I cannot say enough about the staff! Smiling, helpful, attentive making you feel at home, while at the same time being very professional. On the last night, as I did not find anything to my liking on the menu, they brought me, out of their initiative, a delicious alternative, which I thank them for it and of course the cook who went all the trouble❤

Good and stylish hotel. Everything was great, except for the closed rooftop terrace around 11:30-12:00 noon. Nice concept, great location and you can even book for 3-6 hours

I stayed for a whole week and i enjoyed everyday. The food from the restaurant at the rooftop is delicious but the breakfast could be better. Great service overall and the staff is very attentive and friendly! I will definitely come back

A great design hotel. The rooms are cozy and clean. The bathroom was very clean and spacious. We had a perfect view over the harbor and the hotel is located in between the historical center and the Las Canteras beach. Now to the staff: I've never experienced such a friendly top-tier service like I did in this hotel. Two of the woman (Mi. and Lu. - I don't want to put their full names in here) were so very welcoming and helpful. Their friendly characters gave us from the first minute until the end of the stay a great time. They would go out of their way to make sure we enjoy the great island of Gran Canaria.

I'd say one star is fair, the hotel is half finished with fixtures missing not only in the room but around the hotel too. The building next door has been knocked down and is being completely rebuilt, there is no mention on the website about this however you will find out when you get woken up by drilling and electric saws at 8:30 every morning. The reception and hallways are filled with building supplies, there's an unused swimming pool on the roof and you can hear everything your next door neighbour is doing. The rooms are non smoking with a 100 euro fine however all our neighbours seemed to do was smoke and it was so warm but as soon as you open the window their smoke just comes into your room. The restaurant lights are always off and there's a red barrier blocking it off I think I saw only two people done there in the whole week we were there and they still didn't even turn the lights on for them so they just dined in darkness. It is definitely not a hotel I'd recommend to anyone looking to visit las Palmas, the hotel's over the other side looked much better and definitely cheaper too. Really disappointed as we chose the hotel as it looked great from the photos but just isn't what it seems.

If you do not chose a sea view room you will have to stay in a dungeon as room. Staff was nice but the hotel is a miss with dark gloomy rooms.

I was really enjoy this 2 nights in this hotel. The stuff was friendly, polite and very helpfull, (even when I requested dinner after 22:00). The food and the roomservice was excellent. The room has a wonderful view on the harbor. Inside of the room plenty space, and nice design. Power outlets 220 VAC at the next to mirror, both side of the bed and under the smart TV, and an additional 5 VDC outlets is enough to use/ charge any devices.   The smart  light switches and the welcome panel was a really great experience.  This is how should look like a 21st century hotel. I am only sad because of the pandemic,  not able to experience the full service of this wonderful hotel. I hope next time I can stay more days at here.

Had a great stay at the Silken Saaj hotel. The staffwas friendly, the rooms were clean and the rooftop was amazing! The only downside was the fact that the pool was sadly closed because of Covid and the bathroom could use a bit more privacy measures.

First room had problems with light but received a different room when issue couldn't be solved. Ideally located hotel with modern fittings. Breakfast was very limited selection and sometimes not with fresh produce. Overall I can recommend this hotel for the price bracket it's placed in.

This was my first time visiting Spain let alone the Gran Canary Islands. Upon my arrival I was welcomed by Nathalia who right off the bat was very warm, polite and assisted me in my check in she provided me thorough information of the hotel as well as took the additional time to give me some recommendations of nearby eateries as well as introduced me to the car service partnership they had which became vital later in my trip. I was able to communicate with Nathalia on several occasions throughout my stay, never once was she bothered or overwhelmed even when I identified there was some issues that i wanted to be fix inside my room as my lady was to arrive the next day. Nathalia jumped on it quickly and provided communication to the maintenance staff as to what was to be done. She also communicated the issues to the Jose who took over the next shift and provided me realtime status of what needed to be done and when they were going to fix and asked me when would be convenient time so the maintenance personnel could arrive. This was done promptly and by the time i got something and returned it was completed as desired. This was day one and already the team was on it. I also met the Jose who was head over the rooftop restaurant he introducted himself and was aware of my reservation the next day as well as my special arrangement. Jose was another key player during my stay as he treated my lady and I like family. no matter the request whether a bucket of ice, opening a wine bottle or just enjoying the rooftop terrace he was there to operate with the upmost profesionnalism and this is done also at peek hours as the restaurant can get busy. Jose would honor each request and was prompt to provide a meaningful experience . During my dining he ensured the coordination of the requested romantic package was executed on time and perfectly. Nathaly i met on the rooftop who was a pleasure to be served by. Always greeted us with a smile a recommended one of the best wines i ever tasted. She would work on the rooftop and also provide room service . Nathaly was a pleasure to deal with throughout the stay. Last but not least I didnt write down the name but the housekeeping attendant was exceptional. She was there to provide service everyday with a smile. Most of the days i would i have to request the next day due to sleeping in. She would ask if i needed anything simple even if it were to just service the bathroom. She provided extra towels and made the room back to being pleasant. Thank you Hotel Silk Saaj staff for making my first visit in Spain a great one and a special thank you To Nathalia, Nathaly, Jose , Jose and the houskeeping staff for being the allstars during my visit. There is truly more i could say but for space sake they are awesome!
