From the time I booked the hotel, to the time of checkout, the hotel staff was exceedingly helpful. They ensured I had correct directions before I was even in the area, and even assisted with my baggage upon arrival. The young woman who checked me in spoke perfect English and was able to point me in the direction of some delicious local food. The hotel offered a wonderful spread for breakfast for a very fair price. The rooms were beautiful. The staff kept my room stocked with amenities, including small treats anytime I went out for the day. I had a fantastic view of the city from my room, which led out onto a terrace with tables and chairs for lounging. I wouldn't even look at other hotels in the area if/when I return to Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. These wonderful folks will always have my business. Katie

We spent 2 nights at the Palmera hotel boutique, we were well received and well advised by Marisa who took the time to recommend places to visit in Las Palmas. The hotel is very well located, several shops, restaurants and cafes nearby, 20 min walk from Playa de Las Canteras and 15 min by bus from the old town. The room was clean and well equipped with the addition of a small terrace. Marisa offered us free coffee and left the room for us the day of our departure until the arrival of our taxi which she took care to call for us. We had a great stay and recommend the hotel without hesitation!

We have spend a beautiful weekend at this little hotel. Marisa is a very nice lady and she made sure we have everything we need. A coffee and a toast in the morning was a nice addition to the stay. A bonus: at the terrace you can listen to the birds in the morning while everything is still very quiet. For sure we stay here again when we are back to Las Palmas.

Beginning to end, top to bottom this place was perfect. Our room was exactly what I’d expect from a boutique hotel. Very modern and clean cut. Enough amenities in each room without seeming to go overboard. I especially liked that fact they built using local carpentry shop and suppliers. Beyond the physical building the staff could not have done a better job. When my wife felt a little soar throat the owner had lozenges waiting for us when we returned from our day touring. It’s these small details that separate the good from the great. Running a hotel is about the client experience and La Palmera BH seems to know this very well. Breakfast was simple and good, with minor variations each morning to allow for trying something different. Beds were very comfortable, WiFi fast and if you need total dark to sleep you will receive this in your room. If you stay here I’d be surprised to hear you didn’t like it.

The epitome of a fantastic boutique hotel with a fabulous hostess. A small, friendly hotel in a quiet street but well connected to the main town, the old town and the marina. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast most welcome. What really makes this hotel special is Marisa and her niece Elena who really went out of their way to make us feel welcome and valued.
