My best hostel experience so far. If you like surfing, diving, meeting amazing people and enjoy a drink on a rooftop with an amazing view, than this is the place to be. After arrival, I got a house tour and some advise on what to do in the region. The manager likes to keep everything clean and tidy, which makes for a great, hygienic and clean place to stay. The employees are very kind. If you're lucky, Danielle, Tevaite, Emilie or Irina are still there. These people are amazing, as are the other people I stayed with. On a final note, the hostel is very cheap compared to any hotel in the region. Yes, you need to share with others, but that's a positive, not a negative.

What can I say, the place is a dream. It would only be better located on the waves. Man sees and hears the waves coming out of bed all day long. The roof terrace is amazing! It is super clean and especially the staff! The staff is totally friendly and helpful! I am here for the third time and feel at home! I've stayed in my fair share of hostels over the years but none compare to HiTide. Not only is it spotlessly clean but incredibly well run, which is a credit to the manager, Max and his team of volunteers, some of which I've seen come back time and time again over various different stays. I first fell in love with it in February this year, so hard in love that I've gone back three times since. I stayed there for 3 days this month before moving into my own apartment and Max and the volunteers could not have been kinder, telling me they where there if I needed while I was on the island. Walking in off the promenade and sitting on the terrace, looking out at the beach, to me, feels like I've come home. They say there is a magic to Las Palmas but I think the real magic is HiTide. Every time I've stayed here, I've met the most amazing people. If you're looking for a hostel to not only surf, explore Las Palmas or the Island but to make friends for life, then HiTide is what you're looking for. Thank you for everything. Until next time ♥️

The hostel manager Francois puts all his passion and heart into providing the best stay possible for the guests. While booking you are in contact with Max, who listens to your individual needs. He immediately makes you feel welcome. I've been in HiTide hostel for a while, and I can safely say it's one of the best hostels in Las Palmas (I've been in several hostels there). After a while, the staff/ volunteers felt like family. They often organized brunches, dinners, drinks and roadtrips, for those who liked to join. Hitide is the best hostel I have ever been to. It was my first experience in a Dorm with 11 other people and I loved it! It was super easy to get in touch with people and the room is directly at the beach. But what made my stay was in first place Marie and the Manager François. Marie is the good soul of this place. She takes care about everyone and everything. Always with a smile on her face. You can tell she really loves her job. It is difficult to describe François in words. I've been to a couple of hostels, but so far this was the best. Location is great, many supermarkets, bus stops and restaurants are nearby, and the ocean is right next to it. It was clean, and the staff was also super. I travelled there alone, and if I wanted to have some company the gorgeus rooftop terrace was the place to go as someone was always there up for some chit-chat.

Cool Hostel. Good location as you can walk 5 seconds to the beach. Has a nice clean kitchen and terrace! The 12 bed can sometimes be covered by sea spray so if you are bothered by that book the 6 bed or private! The hostel has a deal with a surf rental place which was useful to me. Friendly staff.

I already been five times to HiTide and it always was a pleasure to stay there. Unfortunately, this will be my last time. Some toilets where not working, not sufficient hygiene products, lamps in the rooms are broken and the Wi-Fi was not working at all. On top, some of the staff members where very unfriendly and pushy. I know that the staff is always changing and this might be a snapshot in time. Let’s see!

Spent 7 nights at HiTide Hostel right by the beach, with a cozy rooftop and dorms with seaview. Volunteers, especially Rhianna and Alan, were awesome. They made nights out and surfing memorable! Great location for learning how to surf and going out at night. Definitely coming back to HiTide for more good times!

It was my first alone holiday trip and I couldn't land in mor gorgeous place than HiTide. Everything looks just like in the photos, the atmosphere is lovely, the hostel itself and the rooms are kept clean. Employees and volunteers were wonderful, helpful (e.g. with re-booking my surfing lessons or with booking any activities), open-minded, willing to spend time together - after a week it felt like I had been there for at least a month. It's super close to a wonderful and long beach, there are at least 3 suprmarkets in the area, plenty of restaurants, close to the bus stops, close to nice hiking spots. I highly recommend this place. It's obviously not a 5* star hotel, but if you're not scared of a little Tetris beds' structure and some snoring during the night (I was staying in the 12 people room) - book a stay there! :)
