We stayed for 8 nights and dined here twice. The food and service were exceptional. Bearing in mind it was also mid January, the restaurant was full on both of our visits, so do book! My wife adored her fish courses and the garlic prawns needed a slab of bread to soak up the delicious sauce. My fillet steak was near perfection. Go…. I doubt you will be disappointed, great value

This is the second time visiting and I enjoyed coming back. Good selection of stake and the restaurant has a nice relaxing atmosphere. The staff are very attentive and welcoming and I will be back again 😀

Wow ! What a place, we stumbled across el poncho by chance and I'm so glad we did as it was the perfect meal for our last night. From the minute we walked in the service was nothing short of exceptional and the food was unreal. We chose a chateaubriand to share and it was one of the best steaks I've had and getting to cook it how you like it just added to the over all experience. Amazing value for money. Definitely make sure you visit if you're in gran canaria.

Nice restaurant... We were very plrased with the service and food.... The four stars are only due to a very small detail... The lack of a proper peper mill... Fatal mistake for such a nice restaurant

At El Poncho Steakhouse just now! This place is absolutely beautiful and the steak was cooked to perfection. The staff were very professional and couldn't do enough for you. The desserts are to die for. House Red is a good wine, now finishing off with a beautiful coffee. 5 star 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

One of the best steaks I have ever had. The steaks were gigantic and all of the other food looked divine. Very good wine selection too & beautiful desert cart presented too! I wish they did serve single glasses of wine instead of just bottles. Could not fault this place.

Service was very attentive, but a mistake was made with a wrong side coming out and a missed starter. Steak for 2 people @ 60€/kg was a bit of a gimmick as about 600grams of our 1.2kg steak was fat and bone. Steak came out blue, and we had to finish it off on a hot plate. But I'm no chef and what went into my mouth wasn't the rare I wanted. Great presentation and taste.

We've eaten here three times during our stay in Gran Canaria, they have delicious steaks and red vine. Definitely recommend coming here.

This place is really nice steakhouse, we enjoyed beef steak and spare ribs both were excellent and cooked nicely service was really attentive. Now here is why I only gave 4 stars my friend fell badly due to oddly placed steps in the toilet area here, keep in mind while visiting the toilets just one miss step while tipsy can make your evening worse.

We had a lovely dinner at El Poncho. The jamón Ibérico was amazing as were the gambas al ajillo. Great wine and excellent service. Would definitely recommend to visit!

Great meal and great value. Really welcoming staff and food was amazing. So surprised at how great the price was for what we had. We got 2 starters, 2 fillet steaks with 3 sides & a dessert as well as drinks and it was just a little over 70 euro! The steak was delicious and the sides were amazing too! Would definitely recommend the desserts so yummy!

Very good steaks. You have to cook them yourself but the aged one was amazing. Beautiful live piano in the background.

We always book this fabulous restaurant when visiting Gran Canaria for at least 1 night depending on our length of stay. Always superb steak, great wine, speedy service (once you've been seated) and good value for money. When it's a buzzing night the atmosphere is fabulous. Enjoy it, but be sure to book else you might not get a table!

Perfect service and price. Really high quality steak, however I would have preferred to have the steak cooked medium rare other than having to cook it myself at the table. I understand that due to the vast number of people who do not know anything about food, you decided to let the customer cook to avoid complains about the internal temperature of the steak. Highly recommended.

Wowww! I had the Eisbein. It was one of the best i had. Really perfect, served with potatoes and Sauerkraut. My wife had an Beef medallion, with grilled veggies. And fabulous desserts. Compliments for the hi-end services I recommend this.

A lovely restaurant, well laid out, with plenty of space. Our dinner was excellent but the most impressive element was the staff. So attentive and helpful. We both ate fish which was nicely presented and a large portion. A very pleasant evening.

Awesome decor and really friendly service. Great steaks but what stood out for me was the starter. It was simply the nicest starter I've ever had. It was a prawn and spinach crisp roll with tomato preserve and balsamic reduction. So many strong different flavours but they really worked well together. Literally the nicest thing I've ever eaten.

Great atmosphere, covid proof. Food is delicious, tables private, enjoyed the dinner a lot.

Few restaurants are worth my 5 stars... El Poncho has not only a nice menu... A Decent wine list... Too bad not many red wines from the Canarias... I prefer them to the Rioja ones... But also a very good and expedicious service... The meat was nicely cooked and all we tried was nice... So if you happen to pass by and like grilled meat... Go ahead... And... If you like hot sauces... The local tabasco is excelent... Forget the american sauce... Does not even come close by to the local one!!!

Brilliant food, service and atmosphere! Couldn’t recommend the place highly enough.

Overrated and disappointing. Salmon rolls very cold straight out if fridge, but mozzerlla garlic bread ok. Aged entrecot (ribeye) was flavourless, tough and lacked seasoning. Poncho salad disappointing 5 prawns, goats cheese and a lot of lettuce. Service prompt. Front of house very welcoming, waiters some amenable, others disinterested. Definitely over priced and over rated
