If seafood is what you like, Bar El Boya is a must-see when visiting the island. This family business has been running since 1956. A large selection of delicious and fresh dishes. I was there twice to try as many local delicacies as possible. I definitely recommend it😋👍

Interesting experience shell we say… the other restaurant that we’d been recommended was open on Google but closed in actuality… So we ended up here, 2nd choice…You wait in the waiting area and push a bell in theory the waiter comes to collect you… there must’ve been three couples six people in the queue waiting perhaps bell was broken, finally the waiter came after seeing que and said why we hadn’t pushed bell… Great first impression…, then we were seated the restaurant was a third full thankfully we were seated by a waiters station as there appeared to be one taking the orders the other two were clearing tables and serving… so were able to get his attention fairly easily… The menu was quite strange although in multiple languages it was a photographic menu on paper like a tourist menu in particular Asian resorts… Anyway the food wasn’t too bad brought out in different times on sml plates tapas style… I had a local wine which was very nice the only couple of negative things / to point out that one of the fish dishes was frozen cod waiter mentioned and I being from New Zealand had ordered the mussels which were green lipped from New Zealand ( frozen ) not realising when I ordered… so I would say possibly a third of the menu was frozen and certainly not fresh as expected…. Anyway not a bird evening/ experience we suppose depending what u order…

The one star is for the view. The food here was terrible we had the deep fried rubbery squid and tasteless fish salad. We didn't order anything else and decided to get a salad and lasagne from the spar. I highly recommend avoiding this place.

Best for quality vs price. The bar is in a great location, just right in front of the beach and far enough from the most beaten paths of puerto rico e puerto de mogan. The prices are very generous and the sizes of the portions just appropriate. We ate better here than in many other places, especially looking at how much we spent

By far the best seafood on this side of the island. Really simple local fare without much fuss, and definitely the best "canarian mono sauce" we had on the island (both the orange and the green). Could definitely recommend the grilled calamari, fried octopus, fish cubes, grandmother bread, and the fried baby squids.

Food was great but the service was so bad it spoilt the whole experience. Asked for salt and lemon from 2 waiters and nothing. It is very busy Place but that's still not acceptable .

It seems that COVID became the lame excuse for everything. The sink to wash your hands not working in the restaurant due COVID, of course. Many other COVID related issues apparently make the good food here not a great experience.

Terrible service - stuff just doesn’t notice you and when they do, they’re rude and in a hurry, trying to get rid of you as fast as possible. The food is also rather bad - tried paella - it was way too soggy, giant squid was overcooked and too hard, red millet was at least not ruined, but also cooked absolutely plainly - no garlic, lemon, nothing. At first prices look very low, but considering small portion size and side dishes not included to any of the proteins, it’s really not cheap at all. They also provide souse and stone-hard beard for each table and charge for it regardless if you touched it. It was only 50 cent, so I decided not to argue, but it leaves an impression.

Delicious food, cheap, a lot of options, friendly staff, but the atmosphere is a little rustic: they gather the used dishes in a plastic tray, and some foods are a little oily. But the overall experience was great if you don't mind the rustic touch. It's like where locals eat good food.

Well visited & local place with delicious fried shrimp and baby squid. They accept card payment. Well worth a visit and the pricing is quite cheap. We paid 22 EUR for 3 dishes and 2 drinks.

Good food at affordable prices. We had quite a few dishes chocos and fish tacitos were particularly lovely. Minus one star because you don't get a bill when you leave they just tell you the price. So it's a bit strange and I think we were overcharged but didn't have the opportunity to look for ourselves.

Best seafood spot for seafood lover around the south of gran canaria! They served fresh seafood with the reasonable price and also they have various choice of seafoods option too! The view here is perfect as you can face the sea!

Very typical island food. Great and affordable prices. It's a really fast pace place, so probably you have to wait your turn outside enjoying a beer. Service is quick and most of it kind.

The food is excellent - it really is a local place. The paella was the best I ever had. The ambience was a bit noisy and the view is towards the factory. But if you enjoy local easygoing and relaxed moments, its definitelly a place for you, we had a lovely time and will come back

Fried octopus was extremely fatty and too salty - for one person is hardcore to deal with it. Choco frito - gummy octopus. Not good. Fried sardines ok. So if you have choice - find better place:)

Great selection of real Spanish/Canarian Tapas. Frequented by many locals, has been going for 70+ years, so they are definitely doing something right. Extremely busy, but the waiters seem to always be able to find a table and service is really quick and attentive. Not in a touristy area so a little walking involved, but you get to see real Spanish day to day life. Brilliant food!

If you are on vacation around this area you cannot miss this place! Fresh fish, simple place, friendly staff...what else? The menú has different options, I wish I could try all of them. Very good price and amazing quality! The fried octopus was amazing! Our host suggest us this place for the quality and the prices!

This place is very famous for food there is ofcourse quite a variety of different options mainly seafood, but a dish which everyone prefers & enjoys is Paella ( a rice n prawns) which myself with a few family n friends had been having very often is very delicious property cooked. Besides there is ample space parking your vehicle.

One of the best places in Gran Canaria to have fresh and cheap sea food dishes. Fried baby squids, whole octopus, paella and the soup are among my favourites.
