Very impressive religious building in Teror. The stained glass windows the wood panelling the carved and gilt altar all extremely ornate. You get an intense feeling of peace and an understanding of the devotion and work that has gone into creating this masterpiece.

Nice small village with Sunday market on the main square close to the church. The church allows tourists to come inside. Very authentic place.

Teror is a town with a rich history dating back to pre-Hispanic times. It was once inhabited by the Guanche people, the indigrnous population of the Canary islands, and later became a significant religious center, after being conquered by the Spanish in the 15th century. Walking its colorful streets with charming wooden balconies is truly delightful.

A beautiful well maintained church that has The virgin of the Pines, the Patron Saint of Gran Canaria. Very well maintained and situated in a square with huge trees and cafe/restaurants with seating in the sun. Open toilets nearby. Some lovely wooden carvings and ceilings and the stained glass windows are really nice. Their is a small museum at the back, which is part of the church but unfortunately it was closed.

the Village of Teror, devoted to the Virgin Mary, Terror has many architecture and is known by pilgrims all over the world. . September 8 is the local festivity celebrating Virgen del Pino (virgin of the pine, patron of the Gran Canaria).

Kaunis vanha kirkko, jonka takaosassa sijaitsevassa museossa nähtävänä mm. kuuluisuuksien lahjoittamia esineitä, kuten Fernando Alonson pokaali.

Hello we went there on our anniversary for the blessing of God. Church is beautiful and worth watching and waiting time to go inside is very less . Its in a local town so the local vibes will be there and local typical food . Must try sugar cane juice and sugar cane juice with rum and terror chorizo . There is a small market on Sunday so it's added to the experience.

Rock formations were interesting but we went wrong tide time to see the water being thrown into air through the rocks. That would have been great to see. If you arrive at the wrong time you could wait for the right tide conditions but we couldn't as we had lots more to see that day.

Out of the way from the usual tourist traps of the south end of the island, Teror is a beautiful small town nestled in the mountains. Picturesque streets, chicken roaming the streets, timber balconies. As for the Basilica, it's a beautiful church, well maintained and worthy of a visit.

The sanctuary should be open for prayer from dusk to dawn. Pilgrims are coming here all the time and they feel very disappointed when they find the sanctuary closed for whatever reason. It’s not just another church. It is supposed to be a sanctuary for all Canary Islands.

Beautiful church in the heart of this small, incredible little town. I loved every second I spent here. The church has a big history, dating quite back in time. Also, apparently they change the dresses of the Lady quite often, so she is often dressed in different colors. The interior of the church is beautiful. I really enjoyed my stay here.

This church quite rightly is the main attraction of Teror. Really recommend visiting on a Sunday as there is a lovely open air market around the church and the whole town and this area in particular has a joyous vibe. This church is home to the Madonna of the Pine (in times gone by the Virgin Mary was sighted under a pine tree in a nearby forest) and very significant to the Island. It’s very large given the size of the town and stunning inside. There was a mass going on when we visited but we were allowed to step inside and welcomed in but no photos inside. I had wanted to visit the Treasure room as apparently it has a bizarre set of gifts to Madonna of the Pine but couldn’t given the mass. It felt like a church of beauty and positive vibes.

This is an old church that gives a special, very unique feature to the small settlement. It is one of the most impressive, most beautiful thing on the island.

👍👍 A visit to the market on Sunday is a must if you’re visiting Gran Canaria. There are buses who stop nearby and there’s space to park your car too. A lot of exotic foods and drinks and great cocktails too. Can recommend.
