I love exploring caves and the likes, and this place truly has some pretty unique views. Loved walking through the small tunnels and shooting photos at various angles. Just make sure you see the back of the mountain, where these cave systems Are - and not just the 4 Holes in the front.

Such a cool hidden gem if you love the feeling of adrenaline!!! You need to drive to the the bottom of the hill then climb up the stairs. Beyond the massive rock caves with the signage, there are hidden archeological caves on the other side of the hill. To reach there you need to find this hidden path at the end of a the “suggested route”. You would see a concrete barrier on the side. It’s very easy to miss. You need to climb over the barrier (not very high) to continue the journey. The passage is very organic and narrow so do be careful. Definitely not for the faint hearted as most parts have no safely barriers, but you have to be ultra clumpy to fall down. The reward is a spectacular view from a mega supposedly hand craved cave site with corridors. I found climbing there was easier than climbing roque nublo which was very Sandy. Just take it slowly and wear some good shoes for climbing. If you can’t take the height, there’s plenty to see at the site just stick to the ‘safe route’ where the path was nicely prepped for walking. I love that the place was not too groomed that it remains most of its natural form. I saw some locals hanging out there with their dog drinking beer too. A truly memorising and unusual spot for an afternoon adventure. This place was so much more than what I had expected. It almost looked like it was at the middle of an attraction upgrade. At least at this moment it’s still free, easy access for most. You can park anywhere nearby and it’s not busy. It was our last stop before flying back home (10 mins drive to the airport!) which made it a great end to our trip!!

It was fantastic standing in the caves and seeing all of them it really was, and the wonderful view and breeze was just a bonus for us. You do have to park at the bottom and walk up a long road which is on a hill with loose rocks and down some rocks, so make sure you wear the right footwear for the trek (but it's worth it). We would 100% recommend. 24th September 2023

Nice archaeological site. If you have a rental car and have some time to spare, perfect to visit before taking your flight back home. Visit can take anywhere between 20 - 60min. Well maintained site, free to visit and you can park just outside on the street leading up the hill.

This is one of my favourite sites on this island. I just don’t understand why there are very few tourists. I was basically alone during my visit. Such an incredible place with an interesting story. It is really worth to visit if you have a car. You can park the car at the roadside a few hundred meters down. It is an easy walk, and I love its unique flora, especially different types of cactuses, grown in this region. Don’t be surprised if you see some birds living near the caves.

(Translated by Google) Interesting to know a little about this canary that came so far in Spanish politics. Such a beautiful sight to visit! You get more amazed each time you walk a bit further on the path. It's rocky, so wear good (walking) shoes! It's easy to reach and enough parking space on a weekday.

(Translated by Google) It is a small museum that has been improving significantly in recent years. It is dedicated to the political figure of a very relevant canary of the 19th century, very close to Queen Isabel II and friend of Galdós. The latter is the National Episode "The one of sad destinies" dedicated to it. The Museum contains part of the furniture and personal objects that give an idea of the power of León y Castillo and its importance. The guides enrich the visit and offer visitors other activities related to the archaeological, architectural and cultural heritage of Telde (Original) Es un pequeño museo que ha ido mejorando sensiblemente en los últimos años. Really cool history site. We were totally alone. It doesn't seem like the place is visited too often which is a shame. It's a proper archaeological site with boards to read on the history of the spot. Park your car half-way up the hill and then walk 4 minutes to the first caves

I thought that it was really good, seeing actual caves that were lived in by the first settlers of the island. And it was free.. if you follow sat nav to get there, stop when the road looks bad! It is!! Just park up and walk from there, 300 metres give or take. Take care though... it's high up with sheer drops.

A drive past El Goro to the GC 100 brings you to quatro puertas. Drive up to the top of the village and head up to the top. The largest cave is not the most impressive. 30 minutes or so is all you need. Great views and some interesting caves.

The best experience. If you go to Gran Canaria, make sure you come here!! It is so scenic and majestic! Honestly so worth the trip. It isn't a long hike, in all you would spent about 45 minutes there. Good for all fitness levels. You don't exert too much energy

This is an archeological place which is 24h open and you do not need to pay. It was first built by the guanches, the aborigin people of Gran Canaria.

Nice place for sensing ancient culture and ceremonial places... By the way top of the mountain is really ancient stone carved temple. I personally believe that its thousands of years old based of erosion of the rock and I also believe that instead of sacrificed milk there has been emerging human sacrifices

The historic archaeological place is interesting and worth visiting. However, I was quite touched by seeing that lonely super friendly horse, which seemed to be dehydrated and underfed. I don't wanna judge, but I have a feeling someone for some reason does not care enough abot his animals. I gave my 1,5l of water to the horse, and she was so happy, that she started to cuttle around me and she gave me signs to let her out, but there was nothing I could do... It was really hard to leave her and go. I also noticed bunch of dogs closed in a hut, where they don't have any place to lay except in their own s... Not sure, but this doesn't look like someone has those dogs for pets, or am I wrong? Anyone has any idea if something should be done about it? Thanks!

Interesting archaeological site. Few people and you can safely take pictures. It is better to get to the place by car. Be sure to bring comfortable shoes and water

If you like ancient history and ruins, worth a hike. Free entrance, but still some basic infographic boards at the sight. Interesting to see and use an imagination how this place might have looked like when it was built. Takes about 45 minutes to see everything.

This was a great find. No admission fee, no facilities. It really made me feel how it would have been to live in those times and in that place. Wear study shoes and be prepared for uneven ground.

Great to see one time. Nothing special. Don't go inside the cave. There are people that took a poo.

This was an amazing experience. One of the best things about the whole island. This landmark on the map is but one of the caves which are on this hill. Make sure to see them all! Simply go around the mountain on the paths and you will discover an entire cave town! It’s amazing, caves connected together and the views are amazing. From one of the caves there is beautiful view of the Gran Canaria airport, you can watch the planes land and depart. Make sure to stop here, you won’t regret!

Upea paikka.

👍👍 Curious figure of Neptune emerging from the sea on the pier of Melenara beach. Today it was under construction and was only accessible through stairs that came down from the promenade. We did not expect to find this there and we were surprised, it is cool!
