Pleasant museum where all kinds of paintings and exceptional architecture are exhibited. You can also enjoy it one weekend a month for free. Like every year in the month of December dedicated to nativity scenes, this year 2019 there is a wide variety of nativity scenes from all cultures, beautiful, very well made and original.

(Translated by Google) Fantastic museum dedicated to the work of the painter and sculptor Antonio Padrón thanks to his aunt who decided to create it for her nephew. At first we have an exhibition room dedicated to paintings, a small light patio focused on ceramics; Then, after crossing a landscaped courtyard with more sculptures, you access the two-storey building where the artist's workshop is located on the second floor and works by other Canarian artists on the first. The best thing about the museum is the treatment of the staff that works there, Mrs. Lali and the concierge with their explanations. A wonderful and highly recommended experience to learn about indigenism from the approach of this painter/sculptor, very much in line with the aboriginal spirit that is perceived in the city of Gáldar.

(Translated by Google) Museum dedicated to the "indigenous" style painter Antonio Padrón. There are influences of naive art but also of a great one like Picasso. Beautiful traditional house accessible from the internal courtyard. You also see the artist's studio and the tools making the engravings.

Small but nice exhibition with pictures by the artist. The associated garden is particularly beautiful, a small oasis in the hectic Galdar. Particularly noteworthy: in addition to the entry ticket (2€), I immediately received a German-language brochure. As soon as I was inside, the guard sent a multilingual guide after me who, in a completely pushy manner, offered to walk through the exhibition with me (alone!!) and explain the exhibits. Great service from nice people!

We discovered the museum today, very friendly staff! Beautiful pictures!! I imagined to refind something of Picasso, a little bit of Braque and of Subirachs.

The tourist information office suggested we pay a visit to this interesting, unusual art museum, garden and house displaying art studio of local artist Antonio Padron. It was free entry and information leaflet was given to us in English. I found some of the paintings a bit unusual and had to stand at the back of the room to see some of them from a distance to full appreciate the subject matter. The garden was a lovely place to relax and listen to the fountain. My favourite bit was the house in the garden with his art studio and equipment on display upstairs. Their was toilets and a lift up to art studio if you have mobility issues. Well worth visiting if you in Galdar.

(Translated by Google) Great surprise what the Cabildo de Gran Canaria has set up in the heart of Gáldar and that until now I did not know for a few years that I did not return to this city. In addition to numerous works by Antonio Padrón, who was ahead of his time, there are others by island artists as well as a beautiful garden and a very pleasant and colorful architectural complex. Admission is free and, without a doubt, it should be a must for all those who pass through Gáldar. Guided tours are also offered. Do not miss it. Outstanding mention to the staff for being all very nice and especially the reception lady.
