Wonderful experience of would nature ! My tips : 1/ visit the site really early, otherwise a long time of queue is to be expected. Be there 15 minutes before the opening of the park (opens at 9:00). After 10:00, expect at least one hour of waiting queue 2/ before reaching the site, you will need to pass the entrance of the park (first queue there, entrance fee to be paid) then a second car queue line is made before the final park area, where all the buses start from 3/ for the bus ride, choose a seat on the right side windows (the line opposite to the driver) as most of the beautiful scenery is in that side 4/ the bus makes no stops, so just take pictures through the window, all during the ride 5/ don’t forget to tip the driver 😊 Pictures here were taken from the bus 6/ try the BBQ chicken grilled from lava heat : super tasty !!!

Wow what a place a true landscaped beauty. Wherever your staying on the the island this is a must see , easy to reach place to go . If approaching by car the sat bab and signs will take you here no problem and I’m sure there’s bus services too. Once here and parked which can be a little wait when busy during the summer you have the restaurant which is unique so please discover for yourself you will not be disappointed. They have some side shows outside which are fun then regular coach trips that are included in the entrance price around the national park which is something to behold especially the drivers skill. Please tip them at the end they thoroughly derserve it . The mountains and vistas are stunning. Almost likened to mars . I had a brilliant day here from start to finish and I recommend the chicken cooked off the volcano. Get your self round in about 3 to 4 hours which is plenty then maybe a camel ride on the way home . 10 out of 10 from me

Definately well worth going on a tour as the wait for cars to access the park was 2 hours ... cars don't have access to drive around the volcanoes so unless you are going to the restaurant , book a tour. Win breakers are a good idea as it gets quite windy and cold while you are watching the geothermal experiments outside.

Really great experience. Would recommend a coach trip so you can go along the expert only roads. Stunning views and interesting sites. Didn't try the geothermal food but looked awesome.

Very beautiful National Park. For the entrance fee of 12€ p. person you get a lot. But you should have some patience as there is mostly a traffic jam in front of the parking entrance. As busses have priority here, the time in traffic jam increases. Once you are there, you can directly, or after a few minutes, get a bus tour through the volcanic landscape. This is a real impressive tour which gives you a fantastic view onto the craters. If you are lucky, some parks employees will also perform a small show where they fill water into one of the pipes near the restaurant and simulate a geyser. The restaurant itself is also very good and grills it's food on a volcanic grill and bakes the bread in a volcanic oven. You can also have a look in both. The only bad thing is that you have to pay the entrance fee cash. There is no option to pay with credit card and also not a single hint that only cash is accepted.

Amazing area, very easy to imagine what it was like millions of years ago when the island was being formed. Bus trip round the volcanoes was worth seeing (part of the price). Restaurant still sits on a hot spot. Worth the visit

Amazing! The scenery is breathtaking and dramatic. We had hired a car, so were able to drive round the National Park unhindered. Lots of good roads, but also tracks that allow you to see so much for free.

Really great experience. We got their early and beat the crowds. Walked straight onto a bus when we parked and did that first. Amazing experience. Kids under 7 go free and it's really good value for money. We paid £20 and got a 45 min bus tour and geothermal experiments for four of us.

Great place to visit, I recommend a guided tour as a bus gives a greater vantage point. The demonstration on steam and fire is awesome. It gets very busy so an early start is recommended. Think about sensible footwear too the ground can be hot. You can get coffee and cake in the cafe. The guided tours can tell you about the history

Really beautiful and easy experience. I came just before 1pm on a Sunday. Entrance was 9 euros, parked quickly and the next tour was in 10 minutes. Got on the bus and off we went. Tour was pre recorded in Spanish, English and German.

I recommend you visit Timanfaya if you are ever in Lanzarote. We postponed visiting twice and finally visited yesterday and I enjoyed every bit of it. We went early to avoid the queues. We went around 09:30 and there was some queue at the park entrance. We paid €24 for 2 of us. The car park was almost full but we got a parking space. The tour bus was parked and waiting to fill up, it is included as part of the entrance fee. We got on the bus and sat on the right side to get the best views. The bus tour took about 25 minutes. It felt our of this world like you were in a different planet like Mars. After the bus tour, we then saw some demonstrations of the heat from the ground, fire from the ground and where they cook the meat from the heat coming from the ground. It was a beautiful day for this trip and Iwe thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I recommend this visit 1000%

This is a must see destination. €12 entrance which includes a coach trip around the volcanic park and is absolutely breathtaking. The chicken is cooked over a vent coming directly from the now quiet volcano. Well worth every penny. Don't be put off by queueing cars, the turn around is pretty quick. We were there just over 2 hours total visit.

Superb day out away from the hotel. Hired a car and headed up early afternoon. It was only a 30min drive from H10 Rubicon, Playa Blanca. We were able to park no problem and a 30 second walk to the buses. €12 each to get into the park and it was well worth it. The driver takes you on a spectacular journey whilst pointing out the various volcanoes and craters. There is multi language audio. You’d think you were on another planet. Well worth a day out.

Fantastic Experience, I came here when I was younger but was certainly able to appreciate how gorgeous it is now! We had around a 30 minute wait but that flys by and then got straight onto a tour bus. Well worth the $12 each. Great history lesson and was very interesting. The drivers are very talented, I would have written a bus off on my first day. Would highly recommend visiting while in Lanzarote!

Amazing! Hot lava grains to hold, burning plants and a water geyser. Scary drive to see lava flows and volcano craters. Went with a guide so lots of information. Might not be as interesting on your own, but very dramatic scenery. Glad we went

A place from other world :) If u are in Lanzarote is probably the most important place to visit! And a little bit of history : Lanzarote, a shield volcano made of prominent fissure vents, is ~20 million years old. There are four main calderas and numerous cones and fissures. Basalts erupted in 1730-1736 and 1824 cover about one fourth of the surface of the island. The vents for the 1730-1736 eruption are near Montanas del Fuego. The 1824 eruption lasted about three months and was focused at the Nuevo del Fuego vent. The north end of the Island of Fuerteventura can be seen near the bottom of the photo. Did you notice that the shape of the island differs on the space photo compared to the map? How can that be? Which one is wrong? The answer is that both views are correct! The map shows the island as it would be seen looking directly down on it, with no distortion. The space photo was taken through the window of the Space Shuttle when the island was off to the side. The oblique view made the island look shorter.

Great view of volcanic ash and landscape. Many people will recommend taking trip from tourist company as buses have priority. I recommend going there yourself, just in 2nd half of the day as traffic is only until 1-2pm.

Absolutely beautiful. You can even see the little devil outside on one of the volcanoes! Shout out to the bus driver for being able to navigate the tightest roads on the trail. If I ever have the opportunity to come back to the island, I’ll be here again for sure.

Amazing bus trip around the Timanfaya National Park. The driver was absolutely great stopping where there are the most interesting things to see. A bit scary and not properly suggested to those who suffer from carsickness. But absolutely worth it

This place is surreal, straight out of science fiction. The land is like mars! The national park entry includes a bus ride with a detailed audio guide. Also at the end of the tour they give a nice demonstration of geysers. Perfect place for nature lovers!

Amazing place. Incredible scenery. Feeling the heat, seeing the effects of the magma and eating food which had been cooked using that heat was a truly memorable experience. The restaurant has beautiful views - we were there at sunset. Was very busy - 3 coaches - but plenty of food!

Well worth a visit, only 12 euro per person. Tours is included and is on a bus, no chance to get out. There is a restaurant and toilets. Would recommend going in the afternoon as it is much quieter..

Great national park - astonishing landscape completely shaped by volcanic activity. You get to see the fault line via the many volcanos and some stunning views from the peaks and the valleys. It looks like you've travelled to another planet. An absolute must see in Lanzarote. note: to control access, the tour around the park is guided through a bus tour - book in advance rather than just turning up. The tours offer a brilliant service and included many other sites.

Arrived about 10.30 on a Sunday and waited in the car for about 45 minutes to get in and parked. We didn’t buy tickets in advance so it was cash only at the entrance gate. Once in, we went on the bus which is included in the price and went up through the volcanoes- stunning scenery. Commentary was in Spanish, English and German. We had baguettes in the cafe- good value and they took card!

Amazing natural park that allows you to see the effects of the eruptions that happened at the beginning of the 18th century. The tours will take place in a bus. Its recommended to come early in the morning as the parking areas get easily full. You will need to pay for the entrance.

I just drove through the park, there was a visitor centre and camel rides along the way….I didn’t do any of that. But the drive was beautiful, lovely mountain landscapes and the volcanic rock on all roadsides are worth seeing. The roads are good and well marked.

Superb scenery ... it feels like you're on a different planet. I loved how they cooked the meat for the restaurant and the water demonstration. We've arrived early at 9 am. Otherwise, we would have stayed in the queue for quite a long time. Don't miss the information centre ...

We loved it! Amazing and unique tour! All my respect for the bus drivers, who are taking you around in the national park. Once you payed the entrance, use the bus tour as it's included in the price. You will be amazed. The geysers, the hot spots of the volcano and the chicken prepared on the heat of the volcano... all are just so amazing experiences, that you must see and try. We loved it!!!

Great tourist attraction. Geographic information about volcanoes and eruption on the island. Rock and lava formations have left the island with beautiful surrounding. Walking on lava land instead of grass and woodlands gives the individual a feeling of a different kind of experience. There is a restaurant at the top, tourist buses, v crowded on the slopes. V hot weather

What amazing sights! The bus tour is included in the entry fee (which is pretty low anyway), and is a great way to see even more interesting sights. It's 35 mines long, so perfect with kids too. There's a gift shop and a restaurant where you can eat food cooked in the heat of the vulcano.

This is amazing place to visit, a little confusing of where we could and couldn’t go with the car. But it’s still worth a drive across before heading towards the visitor centre. We wanted to do the route via the Volcano’s but couldn’t understand how to go through the entrance or where to get tickets from.

If you love the volcanic landscape this is a must. Unfortunately not too many places to discover on your own or by foot, but even driving around and just enjoying the scenery is mesmerizing. We visited the visitor center by bus, so we skipped the lines. Nice attractions, to see that just below few meters underground it is still hot and active, just wow.

I would say this is a must visit if you come to Lanzarote island. It was €20 per person to get it. If you don’t like to wait, make sure you get there at 9am. Enjoy your trip!

Great and amazing place. It's like driving through a moon scape. It has the ability to make your feel that the human race is insignificant compared to the power of nature. Well worth a visit.

Our best volcanic experience ever! It’s 24 euros for two tickets (entrance fee to Islet Hilario and bus ride included) and it’s worth absolutely every penny! Fantastic views and great organisation.

Really interesting place showing the power of the volcanoes. Nice story, great tourist route and nice experiments showing that even if it's not exploding right now the volcano still bears tons of power and energy just beneath the surface.

  • 4/5 Alex P. 2 years ago on Google
Steaks cooked over the heart of the volcano were great. Restaurant could do with air conditioning as the floor to ceiling windows made for great views, but was very warm in there.

Nice and interesting place. Very large lava field everywhere..... stones and stones. No plats. Good organisation. The bus takes you very close to the lava. You can see detail structure of lava.

Went as part of a guided coach trip and I'm glad we did, the car queues to get to the parking can be 3 hours long, once you are there the views around the park are breathtaking it's like an alien landscape, there is a restaurant at the top that uses the heat from the volcano to cook the food however they won't allow the coach trips to eat there, there is also a 14km drive through the lava fields and rivers that is amazing but you can only go on it on a coach, at the top there are demonstrations of how hot it is, I'll post the videos if I can

  • 1/5 Alan H. 1 year ago on Google
The national park itself is good as you can see old lava formations and truly volcanic landscape but the way you can visit the park is all just a tourist trap from the El Diablo restaurant to the geyser and bus ride... o do not recommend to visit it as you can see almost the same landscape around the national park...

  • 5/5 Alec C. 1 year ago on Google
Great tour, really informative and visually spectacular. Good demonstrations too! Get there early though, queues build up quickly and can be hours!

  • 4/5 Jack 6 months ago on Google
An enjoyable trip but very very long queues. Staff are friendly but it feels so chaotic and made us want to leave as soon as we’d finished the main bus tour. I’d return but only during a quieter period where we didn’t have to queue for an hour just to get into the car park!

  • 5/5 Higor B. 1 year ago on Google
Definitely worth it! Although you’re confined inside the bus, views are still wonderful and they keep the windows clean for pictures. Around the restaurant is also beautiful, as well as the road to get there. The bus tour itself was also pleasant and a good experience.

A must-do when you are in Lanzarote. Amazing views and scenes at this tourist attraction. Very busy place, and expect to queue to get in but it is worth the wait. The bus tour around the volcanoes and lava fields is fantastic. Costs €12 per person.

Fab bus trip with First Minute Travel to see the volcano and craters and results of the eruption. Great history update from the guide. Got to see the volcano, feel the red hot stones, see fires and geysers. Gift shop and toilet break. Experience a fab camel ride also if u want or a visit to a museum. Def recommend the trip

Tourists have to travel around via coach which keeps the area clean and untouched. Food was tasty and has option to eat chicken cooked via the volcano heat! Definitely recommend arriving as soon as it opens as the queue was miles long when we left

Stunning national park. Scenery is fantastic, like being on another planet. Well worth a visit if you are in Lanzarote. It’s also very well preserved and looked after.
