This amazing fusion of volcanic rock, cave, architecture and plant life is well worth a visit. Take your time and allow the environment to soak into you. We took our time, had a coffee at the little cafe in the cave, listened to the birds flying overhead in the cave roof, looked at the little crabs in the amazingly clear water and soaked up the amazing way the white plaster elements blend with the rock and plant life. Don’t let the price of the tickets put you off. This is well well worth the visit. We visited in the later part of the day when there were less people and no your busses. Best enjoyed when it is quiet.

Well worth a visit. Very unique and fascinating place. Try making your own way there if you can because if you go as part of a tour you don't seem to get long enough to walk around and enjoy yourself. I've now been twice on different tour's and each time we've only had 45 minutes max to enjoy the place before we've had to head back to the coach. It would be nice to spend at least half a day there just to see everything. Definitely a gem of the island.

Interesting place to visit but overall not very exciting. Visited this place as part of an excursion, but I believe the entry was €10 which I think is moderately fair for what you see. Past the entrance you then take the stairs down into the cave, which has a restaurant at the bottom from which you get some stunning views of the cave itself. Plenty of opportunities for picturesque selfies if that’s what floats your boat, especially at the swimming pool at the rear end. Before you leave there is another bar at the end (€2.50 for a bottle of coke) and after that there is the souvenir shop.

This is a pond with some small creatures in it under a stone arch with a restaurant there, then up some stairs to see a swimming pool where you can't swim in, with plants planted around. There is also a huge auditorium. It looks nice enough. Even lovely. The restaurant is average. There is a gift shop at the end. But the value to pay almost 10€ each to see it, just isn't there. If I knew that it was like this before I went, we wouldn't have made the trip. Some people did seem to enjoy it, but most people seemed to just pass through.

A really excellent place for photos and relax and chill out. The pools, grounds and all the facilities are much worth the trip. I would highly recommend going. You could litterly spend a good portion of the day if you stop and have a bite to eat. All so really good food service, reasonable prices and helpful staff.

Lovely place to visit. A little bit of a tourist trap but we'll worth a look. Amazing views, the cave is a sight to behold, unbelievably blue water highlighted by the light shining through each side of the cave. The restaraunt staff were a bit rude but the cafe staff were fantastic. Would recommend a quick trip, €10 per person, lovely bathrooms on site (the one in the resteraunt section offers an often missed view of the caves. Plenty of free parking outside. Watch out for the water when entering and leaving the cave, we saw a few people get their feet wet trying to take a picture.

A wonderful place designed by the famous Canarian architect César Manrique Cabrera. Sometimes called ‘the eighth wonder of the world’. Fantastic restaurant. A global unique auditorium built-in huge volcano cave (music concerts and theatrical performances). At interior lagoon lives an endemic blind crabs Munidopsis Polimorpha. It’s very interesting. Generally, Jameos del Agua is a place worth to visit. I5 stars are not enough to rate this place. I visited Jameos del Agua in March 2014.

Very nice, good nice weather. I would recommend for people who likes to take photos and like nature. It's a very nice place too relax and chill. It's a little expensive but it is defiantly worth the money. Finally this place has very nice cakes and juice especially the coffee. The crabs are very cool in the water as they look so special. Very cool, very nature I like it.

I do not understand the reviews on this place. Yes, there is a restaurant and the atmosphere is very cool. But as "just" a visitor I would say this is highly overpriced. There is nothing natural about this. So for the restaurant this may be cool but if you are not planning to eat, then it is not worth it in my opinion.

(Translated by Google) It is a sunken volcanic tube that was used by Cesar Manrique to create a space in which art and nature coexisted. It is a unique place and in the inner lagoon you can see an endemic species of crab, but the 10 euro entrance fee seems excessive for what the complex offers. I liked the surroundings and the adjacent beach better, which we took advantage of to walk at the exit of Los Jameos.

Beautiful spot created by none other than Manrique. Would highly recommend visiting should you be anywhere in Lanzarote. Many cafés dotted around with stunning views of plants, caves, auditoriums or a combination of them all. Took us 30 minutes to get inside, very busy from midday onwards and some areas currently closed for refurbishment. Otherwise fantastic. Birds love this spot, many spots for them to sit and chirp and also the cave's lake holds many blind, white crustaceans. Beautiful.

The visit was very pleasant. The cave in real was much more impressive and charming than on pictures (because it is hard to capture its beauty due to the particular lighting). Beautiful design of the rest (pool, stairs,..). A dinner here would be amazing (book in advance!).

Amazing place! The restaurants full of plants down in a lava cave, the lake, the pool, the concert hall, everything is simply splendid. I definitely would like to come back there and dine, or simply spend some time again. Wonderful place.

The place is nice and shows a natural beauty blended with human intervention. The place offers drink and food via multiple bar places and a single restaurant with an mid to high prices compare to local prices, however the food taste & quality is absolute average. The place beside a quick sightseeing has nothing else to offer. Overall it’s worth to visit just skip the restaurant.

Climatic place with spectacular lake in the cave. There is nice music in the background. The second part looks like an awesome swimming pool under palm trees but you can't swim there. It's a pity but still worth visiting. The concert hall is also impressive.

A very beautiful and unique place to visit! We had a great time walking around through the cave and looking into the clearest water I’ve ever seen. There was a very clear pathway to follow as soon as you get there, but after you pass the cave, there’s various different places and paths you can go through with amazing views. There was also a museum about volcanos which was supper interesting. Worth the visit!

Lovely place to visit. Set in beautiful surroundings and lava tunnel famous for its small white crabs. Another perfect work of art and creation by Cesar manrique. Lot's of things to see from all the different types of rocks to seismic monitor's you can jump up and down to make it register. Well worth the visit if you get the chance.

Jameos del Agua is an amazing place! The natural beauty of the lava caves and underground lake is truly mesmerizing. The architecture and lighting add to the mystique. It's a great spot to explore, and the cave pool is unique. The restaurant overlooking the lake serves delicious food. A must-visit if you're in Lanzarote.

Great sightseeing spot to see what the nature can accomplish, combined with artistic design of Cesar Manrique. Especially the area with the pool and palms is outstanding. Take also the time, to have a drink and enjoy the location and atmosphere.

The hidden lava cave is breathtakingly beautiful. The setting is an art that is worth seeing. They also have a restaurant right next to the cave which completes the place and gives a taste of the culture. This is Nature and mankind working together to transform such place without demolition its beauty!!

Visiting Jameos del Agua was part of our full day excursion with TUI. It is a beautiful place definitely worth visiting. It doesn’t look promising and appealing from the outside but it is magical on the inside. I wish we could have more time to explore it, we had only 1h. Photos and videos of Jameos del Agua tell the whole story. Enjoy 🙂

10 euro tourist trap. It's nice to see if you are rich and can afford a bottle of whine inside. But it's the same volcanic rocks inside and outside. I would not recommend it if you travel on a budget.

Another creation of Cesar Manrique. Explore this unique underground installation. It has a restaurant, & a bar/cafe with a stage. A lagoon full of very small 'blind albino crabs' (which is the only place in the world you'll find them in an easily accessible location). There is also a swimming pool, & an auditorium which looks like it does get use at various times throughout the year. It seemed like they could even cater for weddings, etc., which would be an extremely unique location for events like that. It was well worth the money, & a great place to take some interesting holiday pictures.

Mostly likely a top 5 spot in the world but underrated as this and the Green caves are the only you'd find worth visiting for something extraordinary in this area or town. Of course, the island of Lanzarote is not top 5 but Jameos del Agua stands in there as a place. It is next to the black sand beach and the attraction is built within a cave, caused by volcanic eruptions. The whole town is covered in lava. It has a beautiful pool, lagoon deep down the cave, and a beautiful restaurant.

Loved this place so much! I think it is one of the top places to be visited in Lanzarote. However, be careful when you walk past water inside the cave, I saw a girl who fell off!

  • 5/5 Stephen V. 2 years ago on Google
This place was a lovely surprise. They were in the process of setting up for a wedding when we visited. That may not seem unusual until you realize this is a collapsed lava tube! While I am not usually much for creating a tourist space out of something natural, the Jameos del Agua has been tastefully designed (even if it does have a full size concert hall). It is a nice place to visit, just for the experience, but unless you are attending an event, once is likely enough. It is also close to the beach and other cave systems that are worth visiting on the same trip.

  • 5/5 Adrian L. 2 years ago on Google
A very unique experience and sorrounding created by the master of the island, Cesar Manrique. The architect has build several places across the island which are all worth visiting. I did not know before that this place has such a lovely restaurant with the sound of the birds in the cave, and a silenced ambience, otherwise I would have definitely gone there. I visited the caves, they were very relaxing, clean, beautiful. The lake inside has a rare species of crabs native from the island which are very small but cute. An interesting discovery. There is also a bar at the top of the location? When you go outside, which has a nice view over the island. Highly recommended to have a 360 experience with bar, restaurant, visiting, relaxing and enjoying beauty.

Beautiful place. Recommend to buy entrance with a bundle of 6 tourist attractions on Lanzarote because it's much cheaper that way. There is a unique species of shellfish here. But moreover there is a very beautiful cave with plants that elevate the charm of the place. And inside the cave there is a restaurant. Really magical!

  • 5/5 Paul C. 1 year ago on Google
Highly recommended. We loved it. I don't really know what to call this place and it is fascinating with meals, drinks and snacks. At the end is an exhibition explaining all about volcanoes, geology and of course lanzarote. If you're not interested in such stuff just go to relax. You could spend the whole day there and take your own food. Free parking and €10 entrance. Don't miss the underground theatre.

  • 5/5 Patrick D. 9 months ago on Google
Definitely worth the visit to this unique underground cafe exploration activity. Photos won't do it justice, and it's hard to describe, but you will be transported to a peaceful underground lake where you can see live crabs and beautiful plant life. There are 3 different places along the route you can stop and enjoy a drink or a bite to eat with a very unique backdrop. A highly recommended trip.

A unique place to visit in Lanzarote! It is part of a series of cultural and natural interest points around the island (you can buy a cumulative ticket to cover some or all of them). I really recommend to visit it because it's so interesting to see this incredible natural carved cave with water inside and the possibility to eat within the area (literally in the cave)! Don't miss it!

You are better able to see the tiny white crabs as you cross the water to the other side. There is a clear pool but you can’t swim in it and an auditorium behind it that you can sit in for a moment. There is a museum too with some parts that are incomplete and ample parking.

Fantastic place. Beautifully done and the volcano museum is really interesting. The only downside is the number of steps making it difficult for elderly people with walking problems and impossible for wheelchair users as I didn't see any lifts. It was a wonderful day out for us.

  • 5/5 Jacqueline M. 1 year ago on Google
Amazing space with a lake in the lava flow, in a cave, with an auditorium and swimming pool, and a few cafes for refreshments. One on the way down, and one on the way back up. Lots of steps to access the lake below, and walk along the edge of the lake to see the small white crabs, and then back up to the surface. A museum with details of the extend of the lava flow and sea connection for the tidal lake. So unique, an incredible space for events and a great example of how to utilise natural landscape to provide magical experiences for tourists. One of a kind!

Amazing experience. The cave is incredibly well cured with clean paths and safe spots to chill out in the fresh ecosystem of it. There are two restaurants/bars for what I understood. They might be very expensive but the location is what you pay for.

Quirky place built into the landscape. Apart from a cafe there is nothing to do there about from walking around taking in the architecture. It’s a cool place to see though. We went as part of a day long coach tour around the island.

We visited The Jameos del Agua as part of a Grand Tour excursion of Lanzarote. Jameos del Agua were the creation of a local artist and architect called Cesár Manrique. They are very popular and were very busy but well worth a visit as they were beautiful. We enjoyed coffees and cakes in the restaurant and these were very reasonably priced. I would definitely visit again!

Interesting place, but definitely a let down compared to other attractions I saw on Lanzarote. A lot of people and not that much too see. The crystal blue water was incredible but I was hoping for something more. I was there with a organised group but there was quite a line waiting outside If you have to choose one cave, I would definitely recommend Cueva de los Verdes much more.

If you love nature, this is really not something to miss whilst on Lanzarote. The blind albino crabs are tiny, but once you get your eye in, you realise how many of them there are in the water. The atmosphere (when we went at least) was tranquil and beautiful, and everyone was talking in hushed tones so as not to disturb the peace. There was some meditation type music playing lightly in the background. I definitely felt like I wanted to stay longer just sat with the crabs than I did - so I would say take your time. The building where they have the museum information and interactive instalments was worth having a good look around, too. (And it was lovely and cool inside) for the cost, it is well worth it (it's not expensive - you can also purchase tickets online in advance and they were operating a different queue for tickets purchased in advance, so if you don't like queuing, that is a faster entry option). We had to wait for about 10mins before we could go in.

I considered this place as a nice addition to our CACT ticket, with not that high expectations from it, but oh boy, this place is awesome. We went there early in the morning when the crowds are nearly non-existent and enjoyed the eerie atmosphere of this place, especially while in the cave part. Nice addition was museum, with many interactive activities involved, like measuring our seismic activity, video projection in mirror room or mission to Mars. Would like to see a concert in the auditorium.

This place! It's so magical. Was very popular when we went. And would advise eating in the restaurant as you first go in, otherwise there are cafes only with sandwiches. I didn't realise this, and my kids got hangy but didn't want cheese or ham sandwiches. My 4-year-old loves to throw tantrums, and by golly, the noise travels in this place! But I still felt the magic and calm during our visit. Definitely worth a visit ☺️ Staff were lovely and very helpful.

Really nice place for a visit. we went late in the afternoon with a coach trip, which gives you a limited visit time. I would recommend going by car and spending a few hours there and taking time to see it all. Our coach tour guide Paul was very knowledgeable and didn't push you on .

  • 4/5 Nermina B. 6 months ago on Google
Impressive Cave, though there was nothing to see. No white shrimps on sight so we just walked through the cave through the super cold water that is quite a refreshment on the hot day. Seems that space is used commercially with chairs and tables, like there is a little stage too.. but in the time we were there, there was no action taken.. On the other side of the object they were getting ready for some wedding so I am guessing this unique space is also used as a Wedding venue.

  • 5/5 George L. 6 months ago on Google
Very interesting place that is beautiful and insightful. The initial cave is gorgeous and the small crusteceans are incredibly intriguing. The subsequent outside area is mesmerising followed by the huge indoor highly informative information centre (there is a fun interactive photo thing at the start of the inside bit on the ground floor not to miss!). Definitely worth a visit with the cuevo de la Verde's!

Unique animals surrounded to the maximum extent by a composition of everything. Quite a small cave with a strange mixture of restaurant, zoo, theater and museum. Probably a really nice location for evening events, but not worth the waiting time and 10 Euro entry fee.

It’s not that big but it’s a must to see when you’re on Lanzarote. Cave with Cristal clear water and the albino crabs. Also the museum at the end is worth to watch. Small history over Lanzarote and Vulcano

The entrance is €10,- for adults. It’s worth going to for seeing a cave with beautiful light on the water with white crabs. Take your time te have a lunch in the cave. Further more there is a no-use swimming pool which gifs a blue light color. The place has a museum too where you can see what kind of vegetation Lanzarote has and a little background of planet mars.

One of the most magical place on the island. If you have tickets you can easily skip the queue, just go directly to cashier and tell them you bought them already. The visit to the cave does not take long and it gets busy therefore make sure you make the most of it

There is no place on the Earth like it. The sense of peace and Tranquility. As you enter via the staircase with the beautiful old wooden banisters is 2nd to none. We had booked for the special evening meal with live music and it did not disappoint. Highly recommended. A trip to Lanzarote without a trip here would be wrong

Stunning place. Ate in the cave, food was lovely, albeit you are paying for the experience too. Great museum within the grounds. So wanted to jump in the pool.

Must see in Lanzarote. They preserve a special crab species that is blind & completely white in colour and only exist in Lanzarote. Cool place. €10,-/ person. They also offer dinners & concerts.

Worth taking the time to visit, we went via a tour company and so we did not have to queue to get in, on way out we saw a huge queue to get in so worth doing as part of a tour, walk through underground caves - there are a few steps up and down and a maybe three or four times where the head height was low, people with some limited mobility were in the group and managed ok with these obstacles, some very dark areas to walk through but lots of people using torch on mobiles so that helps, definitely worth the walk through as amazing to see..cafe at near the end of the walk, but more people looking at the surrounding than actually ordering food, quick note 1 loo for the ladies and 2 for the gents at the cafe so be aware there will be a queue for those. Overall one of our favourite parts of the tour day.

Incredible place to see, beautiful scenery and artwork, fantastic coffee at the café, and the museum is an amazing blend of art, technology, and information! Absolutely book your tickets in advance as we got to completely skip the queue and enjoy it much sooner! Interesting to to learn about the world unique blind crabs too!

This was an absolutely amazing place, a secret little haven. Very informative about the island and volcanos. Make sure you have time to see and do everything, an hour really isn't nearly long enough.

It is hard to describe how amazing this place is. The environment it was bulit into, the details, creativity. The "pool" with the blind crabs inside is just adorable. There is also a museum part, unfortunately we visited during a bus trip and did not have time to properly enjoy. You need hours.

What a lovely surprise this was. From walking down to the first cafe and looking at the luminous rocks to seeing the small white (albino) crabs in the tidal lake and the beautiful blue lagoon. The auditorium looks a great place for a show or a concert. Unfortunately whilst we were on the island we had just missed concert. A great place to go as a couple or with the family. Nice coffee in either of the two cafes. It also had a good sized gift shop.

It sounds like a unique blend of nature and human creativity, akin to a piece of art. The bustling crowd added vibrancy, making it challenging to find a frame without others. Despite that, the ambiance was perfect for photography. The final exhibition added an interesting touch to the experience, creating a well-rounded visit.
