Booking hotel room I never cared about great view from the window, but I never thought it is possible to have a hotel room without a window. Well, in Hotel Madrid it is possible. Don't belive in phrases like "window on the patio side". If you look at the window and cannot say, whether it is day or night, is it sunny or raining, it's not a window. Is it even legel not to have the access to the sunlight in the hotel room? I guess even prisoners need to have this. Another thing - mini bath set. You really cannot buy the whole bottle of hand soap or a shampoo? In Hotel Madrid mini bath set means two mikro bags of shower gel (like the free samples that you can find sometimes in magazines) and two bags of shampoo per person, per day. With these maybe you could wash your hands, but only once a day. Nice. Another ultra cheap option were breakfasts. I thought that they were counting every piece per person. Everything was poor and not enough. Dry bakerolls, cheapest sousages, lack of vegetables, every day the same meal. If it's not enough, on the last day in the morning we found a cockroach in the midle of our room. Room service, when we told about it doesn't seem to be surprised, like it was normal. The only good thing I can say abut that hotel is it's localization in the city centre. The building also looks nice, but it shouldn't be used as a hotel.

Room ten - the horror of my vacation. The room has no window, which we were not informed about. In the bathroom, the handle on the door is broken, the shower leaks while taking a bath. It's February and the room is missing any duvet ... "Bedspread" in terrible condition. Mattress uncomfortable. However, the noise turned out to be the worst. Hear everything the tenants are doing next to you and above you. ALL. Which resulted in a sleepless, horrible night. Price from space, inadequate to the quality.

Situated in a lovely and central Square with a lot of stores and restaurants, nice view from the room with a small balcony. There is no parking, so you will have to look for it or pay one. the staff is great and Very nice

Stayed in room No.9 Love the authenticity of the area and the hotel. Friendly staff. Would have preferred one single bed instead of two single bed pushed next to each other. The hot water ran out halfway through my shower had to bath in cold water. If it wasn’t for water situation would definitely give it a solid 4.5 star.

I came here for a small plate around 7pm cause I was too hungry to wait 10 to eat, I had the small squid with Canaria potato and it was really good, with a glass of wine. On the terrasse it was perfect, inside look good too and the hotel look really beautiful. During the day it must be an amazing spot as well. Gluten and other allergy restrictions options!

It's a lovely beautiful hotel to stay in but make sure to bring your own soap as it's not provided. Also we were two people staying and we got ONE complimentary small bottle of water. Have never seen anything like it in.my life and I have stayed in many hotels around the world. Wouldn't take much to put in a bottle of hand soap at the sink and a bar of soap in the shower

Brilliant location, atmospheric and historic, opposite the gabinete literario. Close walk to all the museums and the cathedral I vegueta. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and spacious. Would have been nice to have a 24hr front desk but when staff were there they tried their best to help. The café bar underneath is quite good as well.

The location and the rooms in the hotel are very nice. We had a room with a view of the square and there were no problems with excessive noise from the street. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and hospitable.
