We were not sure about all the touristy restaurants by the Dunes but we gave this one a try and it turned out to be truly amazing. €33 for 2 DELICIOUS plates of paella (so HUGE that we have to take away) and a shared pot of Sangria (which was actually decent) - plus a pair of complimentary shots in the end. Service is undeniably great and friendly! Absolutely recommend this restaurant!

Great, attentive service on the main beach front. Prices were reasonable and food tasted great. The dessert was a masterpiece, compliments to the chef! Situated next to one of the last entrances to the sand dunes, great to stop by for drinks, a quick snack or a full meal. Get a seat in the outside area and enjoy a sea view whilst dining. Would recommend!

One of the worst dining experiences of my life. Columbus really does it all wrong, it has no atmosphere, the people do not greet and do not communicate, the food is inedible because everything tastes like fish or is dry. Since the average review is 5 stars, we may have had bad luck. And we were 1.5 hours before closing so maybe everyone was just done. Normally I still have points for improvement or things that went well, but even the cola had no carbonated.

We visit this restaurant for many years and it’s always and still our favorite one. The food is incredible and the staff is kinda like family. Everyone will find something in the menu. The prices are also great and haven’t been really changed for years. Just an example is the litre sangria for around 14€ or the lamb shoulder for 20€. And not to forget: It’s a big-boy-portion. If you want to have a great evening with an even greater dinner visit the Columbus!

Food was good - huge portions for a small price. The waiters were nice and speak several languages

A 4.5, but picking 4 wasn’t fair so opted for 5. In an area full of many tourist traps, this place was pretty good! Decent value, food was pretty solid, and the staff were super friendly. Two mains, an appetizer and drinks ran us under 50. Menus pretty solid - they seem to specialize in grilled foods - so would recommend that

Columbus is a real hidden Gem at Playa de ingles. Go for the mixed Tapas Plate Carne. It’s amazing. Price Value is really good!! We were there four times.

So glad to leave a review! The food here is amazing and bizarrely inexpensive..we had some fish 2 nights ago for about 9 quid each and it was lovely. Tonight we had sirloin steak.x.2. Big lumps of beautifully cooked high quality meat and about 12 each!??? It is mad. All these places are NOT the same. Great service too and drinks and pudding equally cheap. I dont understand but no complaints. Eat at Columbus!

Great prices and such delicious food, definitely one of the tastier places in Gran Canaria that we ate! Service was great and it has lovely views of the beach also!

Appreciate its a Saturday but the food took a good while to come out. The tomahawk steak was decent and a bargain at 29€ Worth a visit. But service it slow

It is the worst food experience in the island. We ordered Canarian cheese and it was like basic cheapest market one. Club sandwich is the worst sandwich that I ate. The photos and the foods are completely different

The food was delicious, service was on the top level. First picture is pork ribs and the second is canarian rabbit.

What a great find. The food was amazing and you're not going to complain about the portions! We are a family of 4, 2 adults, an 11 year old, and a 14 year old. There was plenty to choose from on the menu. I'm gluten free, and there was more than enough for me. The setting is right on the beach, which is nice. Staff are very friendly. We will definitely be back.

A restaurant with a beautiful view. On the beach front with a view of the sea and the dunes. Staff were very helpful, and showed that most items on the menu were gluten free. Dishes Ordered: Salmon (Cooked beautifully and came with canary potatoes and a side salad.) Beef tenderloin (Although not cooked to order, was flavoursome and tender still. Ordered with a mushroom sauce, and chips, which were some of the best that I've ever had.)

This is the best meal we had during our holiday here. Don't bother with the yumbo' centre's restaurant's, walk down to this Restaurant. Friendly, comfortable and literally fantastic food. Id recommended the canary potatoes. Very well priced as well. My tip: take some cash , so you can tip the staff, it's not included in bill, especially if you paying by card. They do deserve a tip.

Lovely waiters, nice service. Suprised they spoke a lot of languages, if only a little. Food was hot, fries as they are supposed to be. Great!

Fantastic service. Great quality food and definitely get the best quality and portions for your money. Personally ordered; Main: Chef Special Pork Ribs with Barbecue Sauce (served with grilled vegetables for garnish) - Managing to eat 8.5/11 ribs from the rack. Drink: Tropical beer. Shot of caramel flavoured spirit served to all after the meal. For a group of 5 people, all ordering 1 main and approx 2 alcoholic beverages each, came in at under €140.

Friendly host, attentive and quick service! Food was nice, we split a pizza as it was a quick stop for us on route to the beach. Delicious iced coffee too!

If you go here pick from the 'menu del dia', excellent value. We had 2 x gamba al ahillo, one fish with potatoes, a hawaiian pizza and 2 x coffee for 19 euros. Great quality and good service. Would not recommend the sangria though, not great.

One of the best places I've eaten in Gran Canaria, but then again, a lot of places here serve incredible food. The servers were really nice and helpful, they were joking with us and recommended us many things to do and see around Gran Canaria/Maspalomas. We initially didn't even come here to eat, we just sat down and had some lemon sorbet and drinks, because it was extremely hot on that day. We were sitting for quite a long time, however the servers didn't mind at all, and the place was not completely full anyway. HOWEVER, people around us kept ordering paellas, and the smell was absolutely incredible. The view of the paellas was, too. After some time we decided to order a seafood paella, because we became hungry from looking and smelling what other people ate around us. It was the best decision we ever made. We got a huge seafood paella, loaded with freshest possible ingredients. It was SO GOOD. We also ordered some bruschetti and shrimps in butter sauce. Everything was great, but paella was the absolute star of the show. I have never eaten a paella this good, in my life. Not to mention we were 4 people, and could not even finish it. It was huge (but then again, it was 38C outside that day). Afterwards we got incredible glass of homemade sangria, on the house. All in all it was a great experience and I keep dreaming about that paella which I ate there. It is worth mentioning tho, that prices in Maspalomas are slightly higher than the ones in Las Palmas. It makes sense, considering that Maspalmas is an extremely touristy town full of big hotels and resorts for the elite. Also pro tip: DEFINITELY try the orange slices in the paella!! They were INCREDIBLE to eat after all the seafood and rice.

We’ve been visiting Gran Canaria for many years and this year we discovered this restaurant. Columbus is definitely a place worth visiting. The best paella in town without a doubt and the sole and tuna steaks are definitely worth a try as well. Staff really polite and friendly as well! Do visit if you’re looking for good food and good service. A

Restaurant was nice and the experience wasn't too bad. There is a lot of variety of dishes you can pick from and you need time to pick something as everything sounds delicious. The waiting staff were friendly and professional, but very quick at wanting answers to what you want to order which made me a little frustrated. The food portions are big, but I wouldn't say I ate too well as expected by other reviews, but I didn't walk off hungry.

Found this place with google reviews ( mostly very positive ratings) and wasn't disappointed at all. Very friendly staff with jokes, I like the concept of daily menu (almost half of the main dishes starters there) where u get a starter (soup/salad) a main dish and an ice cream/coffee for less than 10€. I tried the grilled stirloin steak and was really surprised by the quality of the meat. Yummy! Highly recommend, will definitely return, I mean 2 persons with food and drinks less than 30€ is a just truely hard to beat and with such tasty and high quality food the price/quality ratio is rly great.

Before taking off, we ordered quite a bit of food, BUT never thought of those portions are huge!!!!!! We couldn’t finish them all.

Usually when I order grilled fish for €12 I expect a fillet to turn up, not two giant ones! Huge portion, perfectly cooked. Add in friendly service and a great view over the sand dunes (plus no shouting at you to come in in the first place like some others nearby!) and would recommend 👍🏻
