We came here spontaneously and after waiting 20 minutes at the empty reception we decided to go somewhere else. The hotel itself looks very clean and has a colorful design.

Well, we chose Hotel Maipez because on google it advertises as 'Laid-back hotel featuring a hot tub, a garden & a sauna, plus an outdoor pool & free breakfast'. There is no hot tub and no sauna, there were no sun loungers by the pool. The hotel just needs a little bit of care and attention and should not be advertising hot tub and sauna on google. I have checked their website and these facilities are not mentioned there. The restaurant is lovely and the waiters were extremely kind but it was closed 4 evenings out of 7 including Wednesday which we were told would defintely be open. There was no information about alternative restaurants. The man at reception was very helpful when we arrived but he wasn't there very often during our week. Our breakfast was ok but there was never any cold milk, the coffee machine was broken 3 days out of 7 and so it was impossible to get a drink on those days because there are no facilities in the rooms. We chose the suite which was spacious and kept clean but the bed was so hard we had to use the duvet as a mattress topper to make it bearable. The TV is a smart TV but it is not connected to the wifi because the cable is missing. Some of the electric sockets didn't work, the door sticks and the shower head was blocked.

Gorgeous hotel. Great value for money. I'd happily stay here again. Also, friendly and excellent breakfast. Highly recommended.

The hotel itself is very nice. The location is close enough to the city and on the way to the center of the island, but the precise spot is not ideal...

Nice hotel with good service. Restaurant for guests is small and nothing special. Recommend to diner somewhere else.
