I will make this short and sweet. The location is beautiful but the restaurant is a disaster 😫. We were 4 people order steaks and a soup . Took an hour to get the food they brought 5 different kinds of bread but where is the food. Once it arrived cold under cooked and staff is useless this place is lovely because of the view that's it ..Never again . Chef, wait staff all need a change ..Not friendly at all .

This hotel is literally the worst. We were really looking forward to enjoying some days off in the mountains, relaxing in the Spa. When we arrived we were told that the Spa is fully booked. Surprise: You can only go to the Spa for 90 minutes and have to book it far in advance. So we asked the receptionist if it is possible to cancel one of our two nights without being charged as we did not know what else to do when we can not go to the Spa. She told us not to worry and just to send a cancellation request via booking.com So we did. Surprise again: They still charged the second night. After explaining through the phone and email and asking why they still charged us although they ensured us not to, they just said it is not possible to give back the money. Well, this is straight lying to the customers face. Really embarassing and disappointing for a 4 star hotel. We have never been treated like this and really feel fooled. Definitely not recommended.

Amazing hotel, stunning views from the top of the mountain, spectacular sunset, and definitely recommended spa (infinity pool with thermal water, jacuzzi nice and hot, sauna nice and hot) We stayed only one night but definitely worth it. Bonus: a lot’s of hikes/ walks around the hotel. Half board Breakfast (delicious scrambled eggs) Dinner: delicious food, good and friendly service even when was busy 10/10 recommended

We stayed here 4 nights 8-12 January 2023, the room was spacious but the furniture both inside and on the balcony was uncomfortable and tired. The bed was nice but the pillows were not comfortable. There was no tea coffee making facilities in the room. The pool was extra charge when your paying this price I think that’s unreasonable. Breakfast; the staff unorganized and one completely ignored me. I was even speaking Spanish to him. If you want something cooked like eggs you have to get the attention of one of the staff. The toaster was completely inadequate for the number of people and so slow. I would not recommend this paradores and I am an amigo of the group. Very disappointed.

the worst experience of our life, a hotel that stinks of scam with horrible staff who do not speak English even less French. the swimming pool is paying 25h per hour / day you can not access it for free. the cleaning is not done in the room and the manager has discriminatory remarks. too expensive for what it is, go your way will be better elsewhere!

The hotel location is nice BUT… …the staff is super unfriendly and disrespectful. The room costs 200+€ per night and that sets a standard of what you can expect. There was no friendly welcoming us as guests. There is no AC in the room - only at night and it’s insanely hot in the rooms and they don’t apologize for the inconveniences caused. In the restaurant we moved the table a bit more to the side to see the view and the waiter was super rude in telling us this is not allowed. This is just two of the overall 4 rude things that happened within the first 2 hours of our stay. Super sad it has to be this way. It’s a nice location but I’d never stay here again unfortunately because a nice and welcoming atmosphere with respect is more valuable than the view. Not recommended

This hotel is amazing. The views from the spacious rooms are absolutely breathtaking. The quietness and cleanliness of the whole place provides an amazing feel of calmness and is perfect for a relaxing stay. The staff are friendly and courteous and ensure everything is perfect. We ordered room service for breakfast as we didn’t want to leave the comfortable room and the amazing view. The spread we received was so delicious full of local produce. Fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, breads toast a beautiful platter of meats and cheeses, local pastries, fresh orange juice and delicious coffee. The restaurant was beautiful and the service excellent. The food and wine on offer was excellent and reasonably priced. The spa is the icing on the cake, absolute heaven with the amazing Infinity pool and again the most beautiful views. Can’t wait to return

Nice hotel. And great drive up. Rooms nice size. View from them is great. Good lovely staff friendly just having the extra payment for the spa think is about to much. But nice place.

If you cannot be guaranteed a room on the 1-2 floors, consider changing your plans. Do yourself that favor. The photos mostly show rooms on those floors. This gives the impression that this is the standard at the hotel. It is not. You can get a room on the 4 or 5th floors, which are more of a pension standard. To be fair, they are not that expensive. Our room was on the 5th floor and the roof was slanted. We could not see the view at all. The a/c only functioned as heating. My husband (who is average height) could not stand in the shower, at the toilet, or in the areas where you needed to walk. It was dangerous since he has trouble seeing. The hotel seemed understaffed and as a result the quality of the customer care is lacking. The staff that are there are sweet. The spa pools and jacuzzi were literally tepid which made it very uncomfortable. It was a shame because the view from the pool is wonderful. Breakfast was good except for the coffee which is only coffee pods. Dinner was decent. It's hard to beat the location because the walking is right from the hotel. Cruz de tejeda is a great place. The hotel could be absolutely fantastic with a little more attention to quality

Really nice and stunning view from the terrace 🤩😍 we had a cafe and cake there. Both was also excellent and the service was very kind as well. All in all a great experience and absolutely to recommend

A jaw-dropping location with stunning views, good food, lovely rooms and attentive staff.. If you're visiting early or late season, beware that the antiquated air con system (common to many places on the island) may be in heating mode - despite high ambient temperatures. If you like a cool room, be prepared for disappointment.

Fantastic base for hiking and other activities. Such a beautiful area of the world. If you only know the beach areas, it’s a must visit. Lovely hotel. I’d recommend the half board as it’s fantastic value.

This view from Parador is incredible and worth a stop by for a drink - there are some great wines. The food we found disappointing. The steak was almost cold and the vegetables which came with it were completely cold. We also had a fish dish which was average. The Canarian potatoes came with 3 different sauces however and were delicious.

Very confortable rooms with stunning views over the mountains. Quiet hotel with several amenities (restaurant, bar, spa, pool, gym) and suberb location at no more than 15-20mins from all major attractions (Roque Nublo, Roque Bentayga, Pico de las Nieves)

Booked thru Hotels.com. Misleading info on page. It says included use of pool. Turns out its 35€ per head and by availability booking. Only slot available that day was 6pm. Booked it. We thought ok must be to avoid crowded pool spa area. When we get in the spa/pool area, it was full of people and almost everyone checked in the spa and finished the 90 minute limit at the same time. Breakfast and dinner additional 50€. The Pool area has a lot of wasps. The rooms have a lot of diverse insects crawling on your face at night and the matress is very hard. the view was fair enough

Epic. Perfect. Highest quality. For lovers and getaways. The spa is astounding as are the sunsets

Stunning location, and a lovely building. The views are truly amazing and there are great hiking trails from right outside the door of the hotel. For a mountain hotel, the rooms are good if perhaps a little dated. Big balconies for sitting out on to admire the views, and everything spotlessly clean. The air conditioning was perhaps not brilliant but we were there in August and we never got too hot in the room. We ate one night in the hotel restaurant and the food was fantastic - an opportunity to try some local dishes, and the staff were very friendly. We were fortunate that there was a clear sunset and one of the staff explained the different islands we could see in the distance. Breakfast was fine. Also visited the spa which was ok but we were mainly there to walk so not such a big deal for us. Overall really enjoyed our visit and we will definitely return in the future - perhaps at a slightly cooler time of the year.

Beautiful Parador in the heart of the island. The mountainlodge has stunning views. You can even see mount Teide from here. The whole place respirates an air of grandeur.

We stopped for some coffee on our way to Roque Nublo. The cafeteria was a bit too chaotic and noisy inside for being a nice hotel, but outside is amazing in their chill out sofas. The views are stunning! Note: they also host events like weddings.

The views from this hotel are incredible. Highly recommend booking the spa (90 min) and a treatment (lomi lomi massage) while you're there as you will have access to the pool and other spa options.

The view is amasing, spa is small and very expensive for what it is. I think for two day spa and night you can travel to budapest be in spa and budapest and return and it wil

We've enjoyed staying at Spanish hotels and paradors almost every year for the past half-century. But our stay at the Tejeda Parador was, unfortunately, disappointing. And this was on my 76th birthday! (November 2nd) Rather than drop us at the front-door, the taxi driver from the airport left us at the bottom of the steep stone-steps. We asked at reception if the Parador could help us with our luggage. They said no one was available. So we had to struggle with two heavy suitcases and two bags. After checking-in, the problems compounded. The safe in our room was locked. We tried to phone reception but the phone was not working. Soon the internet stopped working and remained inactive for most of our stay. We could not watch television because it only had Spanish language stations. We tried reading in bed but both the bedside reading lights were broken. On top of that, the shower ran hot and cold. I could go on. . . Before checking-out I asked to speak to a manager about our problems. I was assured this would happen. It did not. So, two hours later, we left. After reaching the Santa Catalina Hotel in Las Palmas, I checked my parador bill to discover we'd been over-charged. Despite telling them at check-in I did not want breakfast, they charged me! It's so sad to see a reputable Parador losing the plot.

Firstly, the Parador Cruz de Tejeda is an absolutely magical and dreamy location for a wedding. We held our wedding over two days there (from Friday to Sunday), with guests accommodated in the Parador as well. All our family and friends were enchanted by the views, the decoration and facilities of the Parador and the surroundings. We held our Welcome Dinner on Friday on the Upper Terrace (Teraza Mirador – customized cocktail menu) and the ceremony and party on Saturday on the lower terrace (Teraza Roque Nublo). The guests also enjoyed the wedding dinner and breakfast in the restaurant. Secondly, Gonzalo and Cristina from the Parador Cruz de Tejeda were the absolute cornerstone of our amazing wedding. The Parador offers very advantageous wedding packages with two menus to choose from, a barra libre package, a rich cocktail menu, etc. But beyond that, it was the outstanding cooperation with Gonzalo and Cristina which we appreciated enormously and are grateful for – from our first emails to when we checked out after the wedding, they were both always well organized, very responsive to our emails, understanding of and accommodating our special requests (there were quite a few!). On the day of the ceremony, Gonzalo and Cristina took the role of “day-of” coordinators to make sure that everything runs smoothly – and it did. Everything was beyond perfect and we could just enjoy the moment without having to worry about. A big heartfelt thanks also goes to all the employees of the Parador – the people at reception were very understanding and helpful to us and our guests (and also funny!), the maitre Miguel coordinated the wedding dinner wonderfully and always made sure that the novios had everything, the waiters were super pleasant, the bar tenders were lovely and humorous until early morning hours, the lady in the spa (Rebecca) was wonderful in accommodating our many guests and the many other people of the Parador just made our stay 10x more amazing. Parador Cruz de Tejeda will not only stay in hearts with the beautiful memories we created there, but also in our calendars as we look forward to coming back to this magical place.

We stopped at this hotel for break and a coffee. The cafe has fantastic views overlooking the valley and the probably with an infinity pool. The coffee was good and at reasonable price. The staff was quite friendly and hospitable and were able to communicate in english fluently. Would definitely recommend for a coffee break!

Reception was not friendly, furniture was worn, and service at the restaurant very slow. They advertise a pool and then do not let you use it. Really poor experience despite the great location.

We stayed 2 nights. All the rooms have stunning view from balcony! This place is amazing! Personnel are very kind and helpful. Breakfast is very good with stunning views, good coffee (just ask waiter). Great food at the panoramic terrace bar. We had BB and took lunch on a terrace. There is super nice women working there, you’ll recognize her by the kindest smile 😀. Hotel is overall historical, a little bit like museum, not very “fresh”, but everything is clean and of good quality. They use their stunning location at 100%, you see the best views everywhere from the hotel inside and outside. SPA zone is not big, not busy and very cosy and absolutely relaxing and totally worth visiting (with all these amazing views, off course!). If you want tranquility and absolute chill - that is the place. Tip: be aware of chickens on the road 😀🐓

Local parador nestled atop a mountain with Breathtaking views in an enchanting natural setting. Spa offers sauna, steam room, massages, wellness therapies, an outdoor infinity pool and jacuzzi. I didn’t stay at the hotel, just visited the spa and learned reservations are necessary. Although the water temperature could have been warmer in the jacuzzi and the pool, the experience was absolutely magical thanks to the surrounding mountains. Staff provides you with a towel and robe, alongside a locker key for your belongings upon check-in. The ladies bathroom features lockers, showers with decent shampoo / conditioner and hairdryer. Overall it was a memorable experience. Highly recommend!

This place was probably one of the emost epic locations on the island. The building is quite unique and very neat. It's got a a lot of history. The rooms themselves are all fairly new. The rooms are nice and clean, but the interior design is not very appealing. Each room has a very scenic balcony. The breakfast was exceptional and one of their string points. If I ever return to the Canaries, I will certainly be returning to the Parador

Pros: breathtaking views of the mountains from our room and the swimming pool. Beautiful location in the middle of nature. Cons: everything was charged extra, including €35 per person for access to the spa/swimming pool area (which could be maintained better). No free water in the room, no kettle (so we had to pay every time we wanted a tea or coffee). Breakfast was charged extra at €20pp. The only other option for eating in the morning was the hotel bar which opens at 11am. We had dinner at the hotel. The restaurant was nice, but overpriced given the quality of the food. Overall, this hotel would deserve a 4 or a 5 even if they included at least a one-time entry to the spa area with the room price and some small things like water in the room to make our stay more pleasant.

+ Beautiful hotel with well trained and polite staff. + Spacious room and comfortable bed. + Great SPA + Delicious food + Focused on details + Views from the hotel are breathtaking - Walls are not sound proof and you hear every single movement or conversation from rooms next door. I would love to come back to this wonderful place but not sleeping at night and paying €185 per night without breakfast is a bit too much.

Good view. Went in for some lunch. After waiting 20 minutes being ignored we had to ask for menus. Decided to leave before ordering due to staff attitude.

The views from the spa are incredible. The hotel in itself is very comfortable, a bit dated, but it’s well equipped. Food is a bit expensive there, and bear in mind there aren’t many options to eat out in Tejeda. If you can’t make it to breakfast, there is a picnic option that I wouldn’t recommend as it’s pretty scarce compared to the breakfast buffet.

Th best experience with an incredible view !!!! Staff at the spa and at breakfast were super nice and friendly. The pool is quite small but the view has it all, the bedroom was so large with high ceiling and cute little balcony. Highly recommend it.

After being a bit disappointed that the cafe over the road was closed we discovered this hidden gem. Through the hotel reception is the most amazing terrace with panoramic views. I’d thoroughly recommend having a toasted sandwich and a coffee while you watch the sun set behind Roque Bentayga. What a magical experience. I’d definitely visit again.

🫤 Like many have said, the food was good (my wife and I enjoyed it quite a lot) but the hidden extra charges, often for things we didn’t ask for like a vegetable bake (€12.50) and bread (€2) plus over charging my main by €2, led to a high bill. Plus €4 for a Coke Zero!! This is far too expensive. Tour...
