This is my second time visiting the laundry room. It is definitely a very niche spot. I believe some people will hate it and some will love it. I'm in the middle on the experience. It's definitely very cool to go to a kind of "secret bar" inside of the Commonwealth. You definitely should make a reservation otherwise you may not be seated. When you make the reservation online you have to be aware of their cancellation policy or they will charge you $25 for cancelling. Beware they have a dress code and almost denied my husband entry because his shorts were sweatpant material but she let us in because it was early (but ok). People were inside with jean shorts, straw hats and other clothes that looked a mess but sure let's call out 1 person.. anywho the drinks are about $18/a pop which I'd say is standard Vegas. They do have a menu but you can also tell the bartender 5-7 flavors that you enjoy and he can create something based on that. There is a minimum of 2 drinks per person as others have said and you also must lay $6/per person for "unlimited" popcorn. They will fill it back up 2 or 3 times then after that you're on your own. Gratuity is also included in the bill. For 6 drinks, popcorn, and gratuity we paid $160. To me it's a cool atmosphere and it was worth it. To others who don't want to spend that much I can understand. They do have rules against talking too loud and taking pictures of the place. Try it once and if you hate it, you don't have to go back.

Checked this place out on a Saturday night. Bad decision! So it’s a hidden bar that you can’t speak loud at but it’s inside a club so you hear the music pumping the entire time. Also it was very hot and stuffy in there. No prices anywhere and after two drinks (the minimum) per person, our party of four cost us $250 later. It’s a tourist trap and should be avoided. There is nothing hidden about it if you have to go inside a club and wait by a painting for someone to escort you to the bar next door. You have been warned. Avoid this place if you don’t want the same experience.

Traveling from out of state we were super excited for our reservation tonight. We got a reservation for 6 PM, arrived on time, only to be told about a dress code that we were never made aware of. Beware! The dress code is “dressy casual” - it is not listed on their website, it’s not listed on their seven rooms reservation site. We were denied entry for one member of our party wearing a clean, brand new ravens jersey and my wife, who was wearing expensive supportive sandals. Hey, whatever, we’re now sitting across the street at Eureka! with amazing customer service, great drinks and a relaxed, fun vibe. I’ll be more than happy to resubmit my review if the business makes their dress code more public. Its a Tuesday night, Fremont street is dead, and this dress code is the hill they want to die on rather than accept a $200+ tab.

The is a fun place, the staff are amazing and the atmosphere is very cool. Was lucky to be able check this place out and enjoy a few fun drinks in a very cool atmosphere. The drinks are amazing and it’s more fun to get the mixologist to make a drink of flavour profiles. Both drinks I had hit the mark of what I was looking for. If you can find a way to get into this place make it happen.

When entering the speakeasy it is a small wall paper door. The host will let you in, explain the rules, and sit you at either the table or the bar. We were sat at the end of the bar and just a heads up- THERE IS A TWO DRINK MINIMUM FOR EACH PERSON…$$$ our bill was $113… If you are not looking to spend more then $100 this place is not for you. The only reason we did not give this place more stars is because when we tried asking the bar tender questions he dodged them and told us, he only drinks out of the bottle…. We wanted to learn more around the flavor profiles and he was very cold to us until another couple sat down. We ended up getting what we knew for drinks to be safe. The hostess and bar tender were also on their phones a lot which took away from the overall vibe since we were trying to ask questions. My husband and I review restaurants/bars and this was maybe an off night? There was a piano player there but only for about 15 min and then took a break and never came back… so it was weirdly quiet for a bit. You also get popcorn but it is an extra $6 up-charge and we were charged again for a refill… You will receive a complimentary non-alcoholic drink when you walk in which was delicious but overall we would not go back. This was on our list because we have heard such good things but unfortunately, we did not get the experience we wanted, and on top of it, it was way too expensive.

We enjoyed our tasty two rounds and unlimited popcorn at The Laundry Room. The service was very professional and the cocktails were very creative and thoughtfully put together. The space itself was nice but as much as they tried, missed on the “speakeasy” vibe as the vibe next door was very noticeable, but to be fair they mention this when you make your reservation. The barstools were noticeably uncomfortable for the 90 minute seating. Given the premium price I expected a little more execution on the finer points. I’d return on a quieter weekday, sit at a chair and probably have a better (5⭐️) experience.

Really disappointing. We had high hopes based on the other reviews and were happy to embrace the "house rules", but found the whole experience to be far too pretentious to enjoy. Although the bar was pretty quiet, it took 30 minutes for our drinks to arrive, and we were disappointed with the quality when they did. I've given them an extra star for the popcorn (very tasty) and the pianist (nice touch), but they were the only things we enjoyed. Won't be returning.

This could have easily been 5 stars. Really cool, reservations only, backroom, true-to-form speak-easy. There are two things that happened that brought this to a 3 star rating. Very similar feel to The Library in Portland. Upon arrival at Commonwealth, the bouncers check you in and then they bring you into the bar to wait by a wall at the end of the main room. They are supposed to inform the host inside the Laundry room of guests arrival. Waited for 20 min before she walked out and was completely surprised. She was unfortunately not informed at all. Then the host brings you in through a private, keypad entry, fake door, backroom area. She gives you a brief rundown, walk you into a private bar area, and seats you. After being seated at the bar, the bartender is doing his usual cocktail prep. I ended up sitting there for another 20 min before even being looked at and addressed by him. Once engaged, he discovers that the host had not provided a menu to look at all this time ( which is quite extensive and now requires another 10 min to peruse and choose). After deciding and discussing, it takes him another minimum 10-12 min to make. If anyone is doing the math, you’ll see it took over an hour to get the first drink. Now I feel rushed because they tell you when you walk in that you only are allowed 90 min there, have a two drink minimum, and gratuity is included). The second drink shows up at the 90 min mark, but I was ready to go and kind of unimpressed at this point. They had an off-the- cuff patron piano player that played a few familiar notes quite artistically, and the vibe was really unique and laid back. That was enjoyable for sure. So even though the bartender is cool and creative, the drinks were very good, and the host was sweet and personable….the lack of attention, lack of communication, and therefore lack of efficiency upon check-in and arrival arrival dropped an easy 5 star down to a 3. Hope they can smooth out those key ingredients for a perfect cocktail experience for folks in the future.

Used to be worth my time, now no more desirable a reservation than any other cocktail bar in town. If you're going to tell someone who goes out of their way to visit every trip at least once that their reservation is null and void because the other guy who was coming drew kid duty when his wife got sick, I'll find another cocktail bar. Drinks are fine, atmosphere used to be good on Sunday nights, now all nights just have pounding music. Do yourself a favor and don't put in the effort necessary to go here. Plenty of other good cocktail bars in town, even in walking distance.

No photo policy makes it tough to show how fantastic this place is inside. Popcorn was delicious but there was an extensive list of well developed crafted cocktails. No need to understand the ingredients. Listed below each cocktail it explains what you should expect the taste to be. Forgot about vodka cranberry and jager bombs. This place takes you back to the beginning. The mixologist is the best they come. Sit back and relax for a sophisticated experience and let your taste buds do the work. If you’re worried about the price it’s not for you. Drink minimums and required popcorn keep this place authentic and available to experience things without cutting corners. Tough to get reservations but keep and eye out online within two weeks of your desired time and date. It’s a speakeasy so this should be expected.

Decent cocktails but be aware: this place will NOT accommodate allergies. A member of our group has a serious, life-threatening allergy and wanted to order a cocktail off of the custom menu but asked to avoid certain types of alcohol. The bartender was very demeaning and dismissive about her allergy, talking as if he was more educated on her allergy than she was. She has lived with her allergy for over 10 years and has not been able to eat at a restaurant in all that time. She can’t eat out in Vegas, but she can order a drink. Every other place we went to was so kind and courteous about explaining ingredients in their cocktails and modifying if needed—or being straightforward if it wasn’t safe or they just didn’t know. The bartender here made her feel unsafe about ordering anything and his tone he used toward her killed the vibe for our whole group. So disappointing because this person has waited seven years to try this bar and was really excited about the custom menu. Overall, it’s overhyped and the “house rules” made us feel like we were walking on eggshells. But I could forgive that if the bartender had shown a molecule of human decency and compassion. I never leave reviews, but due to the dismissive attitude of the staff after being provided polite kind feedback from our person with allergies, I felt like this was the only way to warn other people with allergies not to go here.

This location is a true speak easy, you have to make reservations. The Laundry Room is inside Commonwealth and opens earlier than the main bar. No pictures inside the speak easy, as it's an intimate setting. You access The Laundry Room through a hidden door (Pictured is the main bar). The Laundry Room has very good craft cocktails and the blending of ingredients is amazing. For those who appreciate a good cocktail, this place is a must! It's cocktails only!

We had a party of 6. Because of the small space, we were only able to make a reservation for up to 4 people. So we made another reservation for 2 on top of that. When we arrived, we were told we won’t be able to sit next to each other because it’s so full tonight. That’s fine. We get inside and are told the rules of speaking quietly, not engaging with other patrons, MANDATORY $6 POPCORN PER GUEST, etc. The quiet rule is hilariously stupid. The bartender is literally whispering to us every time he walks over, and 20 minutes after we arrive, music from next door is loud enough to drown out anything he’s saying. The decor is literally vibrating on the walls and ceilings from the bass. The table next to our 4-top is empty the entire time we’re there, so we were straight up lied to about the place being too busy to accommodate our party. So two of our party had to sit awkwardly across the room by themselves and we all just couldn’t help but laugh at the ridiculous situation. All that being said, the drinks tasted good despite being $25 each, 2-drink minimum, and 25% auto gratuity. The only reason I’m not giving 1 star. Go spend your money elsewhere.

My wife and I had an amazing time. The drinks were delicious and the service was impeccable. If you are looking for an intimate cocktail experience, this is the place to go. All the people complaining are just people who don't know how to handle themselves when they go out.

If you're looking for a rare quiet moment in las vegas, this is the place. Incredible drinks and atmosphere. I highly recommend a reservation but depending on the night it's still worth checking if they have seats for small parties.

Cannot recommend this place enough. I have 20 years in hospitality and all the options of Vegas at our front door. The Laundry Room is one of the only places my wife and I absolutely must do on date night. Anthony is a master of his craft and never misses a beat. He is appropriately professional and genuine. His drink are spectacular. The supporting team makes you feel welcome and VIP from the moment you enter. Andrew was a delight and the seemless vibe they put together wows us every time. Day and Night remains one of the best cocktails I have ever enjoyed. Thank you both for our well needed date night.

Be patient, and all will be revealed. Far from your typical hole in the wall speak easy - elegant, detailed and well crafted tasting experience. Anthony was courteous, highly knowledgeable, and well tuned to your tasting needs.

This place is an awesome hidden gem in Vegas. It is very hard to get in but once you're in, it really has sone of the best drinks I have had in a long time. I highly suggest the 'doom buggy' if you like spicey, the popcorn is addictive, and I love the fact you can hear the person next to you. It is a quiet oasis with early 1900's speakeasy vibe. 10 out of 10.

The Laundry Room was a great experience! My bonus son turned 21, and we were looking for an interesting bar experience to have as a family. We went to The Laundry Room. The atmosphere and the staff were supreme. Daisy was our host, and Ricky was our mixologist. All of us ordered off the craft-your-own cocktail flavor list... and each drink that Ricky crafted was better than the last. The Laundry Room is in the back of the Commonwealth Bar and you have to go through a "secret passage" to get there... making the speak easy experience feel really authentic and special. Plus, the atmosphere was so chill, relaxing, and intimate. It really was like hanging out in your own, private cocktail lounge. The only thing I will say is that this place does not have a food menu at all. If you know that going in, you're fine. But if you're expecting bites and you get there without eating before hand, you'll be disappointed. Overall, I can't say enough good things about The Laundry Room. Had a great time there.

Absolutely an amazing environment with great food and off the chain service. This place has an outstanding environment and just a few feet off Freemont St. Thanks y'all for always making our night a fun filled evening. You're one of the best local places to have fun and chow down on some amazing food.

Had a great time here. Keeping it quiet and enjoying some discreet refreshing drinks. Andrew was a great host and the history of the property was quite interesting. Thank you for a great time. The bathroom was quite interesting, not something you usually mention but definitely worth checking out if you go.

This was the best Vegas experience ever and it happened by luck. Kit is the perfect hostess. Very knowledgeable, super sweet and personable. Antony is a top notch, very knowledgeable mixologist. Literally some of the best cocktails that we've ever had. Keep doing what you're doing. Tell Kit that "Julie" from Scottsdale says hi 😉

An intimate, classy, exceptional speakeasy. The popcorn option changes daily. The drinks and service were fantastic. Sit at the bar if you can request it - chatting with Ricky & watching him work his mixology magic heightened our experience.

This experience was by far a five star amazing night. My husband and I love cocktails and we left thinking this was in of our top ‘bar’ experiences ever. The ambiance was perfect. The bartender was phenomenal and I think could create anything by flavor alone. I don’t have enough good things to say. I am collecting speakeasy experiences worldwide and I would 100% recommend the Laundry Room with its eclectic decor, lovely staff, and remarkable menu to anyone looking for something extraordinary. No photos allowed and you will want to experience this on yourself!

The Laundry room is an outstanding bar. The Speakeasy is the place you have to attend. So make your reservation. The style, settings, and the "rules " make sure you have a great time. The cocktails are in a league of their own. Enjoy one from the menu, and then have one made for your taste. Ricky, the mixologist, is amazing. A must go.

This is our go to speakeasy when in Las Vegas. It does try to give a more speakeasy vibe, hence the rules. This really gives you a chance to actually talk to the person or people you came with, instead of being glued to your phone like the majority of people. I can see this being hard for some people, but hey, it’s what people had to do back in the day, enjoy the experience. Bartenders have always been great. There is a set menu option, which is great if you are an open soul. If you are not (which would be sad) you can provide your bartender some words and they will make you a drink based off that. Prices are pretty much similar to other speakeasy places I’ve been to in Las Vegas. There is a two drink minimum, which is fair and I don’t see why someone wouldn’t want two drinks if you’re there. The gratuity charges are fine, we are not cheap and typically tip well so we have no issues with that Atmosphere is calm, love when they have the person playing piano since you can request songs. It’s rather easy to find and get to. Parking is street or the parking lot.

This place blew me away ... best cocktails I've ever had. I made a reservation 2 weeks ago on their website and arrived at the Commonwealth. The main bar/club wasn't open yet but if you have a spot in the laundry room they usher you back through a secret door. It's such a cool vibe back there. Small space that feels cozy and exclusive. No phones allowed so I didn't get any photos. We spent so long just looking at all the cool period decor! Soft live piano music playing in the background. And the pianist took requests ..some Scott Joplin really set the tone of the evening. All of the cocktails we had were simply amazing. The mixologist that served us was fantastic and took his time really crafting each drink - it's worth the wait! I loved the Dizzy Dill drink, MM1, and MM2. Honestly, you cannot go wrong with anything from the menu. Take a sip and enjoy!

I travel often for work and this speakeasy was the best bar experience I have ever had in my 33 years of being over 21. Perfect drinks atmosphere and service. It’s a don’t miss. Quiet and quaint and luxury with a bite of history. Highly recommend getting reservations ahead of time.

We celebrated our 19yr anniversary recently and The Laundry Room absolutely hands down helped to create the most unforgettable memories. The delightful server Kylie(?), the unbelievably talented bartender and Leo, the pianist were just amazing. The drinks were all one of a kind and were stunning. The ambiance was unlike anything we've ever experienced before. To top off our incredible visit, Leo played our song which brought tears to my eyes. He is wickedly skilled.

This was my least favorite speak easy experience. I wouldn't go back here. The room was decorated nicely but that was about the only thing I enjoyed. It is a very small room which is fine but they don't have chairs for everyone. One of my party members had to sit on a stool, and was very uncomfortable throughout the visit. Then there is the 2 drink minimum, which I didn't really care about because I am a fan of creative mixed drinks. It was only an issue because you can't see the menu until you have already committed to the drink requirement and I didn't like the options they offered, sometimes less is more, they tried too hard on the drinks. Then they have a speaking volume requirement, this really threw me off and made the whole experience unpleasant. Funny thing is they have a club on the other side of the wall bumping music so you kind of have to speak louder if you want to hear each other.

Don't waste your time. The male bartender had a terrible personality, even reprimanding a table of four for speaking to the next table over. The 'house rules' are excessive and unnecessary (ie. No standing, everyone must be seated), and the service was horrific. In short for four people, this is a $250+ experience, if you have the MINIMUM 2 required beverages and required $6/head popcorn. I absolutely don't mind the cost if the place is worth it, but this was comparable to having a drink at a library. They WILL reprimand you if you speak too loudly, take a photo or set your phone on the table (not using it, just having it sit on the table). Quite frankly, I think they nees to look up the term 'speakeasy' as I think they think it means you need to speak softly. Don't waste your time. It's not cute and it's not entertaining. You can easily find somewhere else that is a LOT more fun, with much better staff.

Been to a lot of speakeasy’s, this one was a let down. Very tiny, bartender (Taylor) was not personable or attentive. We had to get his attention every time we needed a new drink, and then would proceed to wait 20 minutes for said drink. Big check for very little experience.

My best friend made reservations for my birthday 2 weeks in advance. Upon arrival September 8th, we were greeted by the hostess, asked for IDs and then made to wait in the 100 degree heat for 10+ min while the hostess went inside, asking us to wait outside. We finally took it upon ourselves to see what the issue/hold up was and the manager came outside, addressing us with attitude, and straight up gaslighting in telling us that he sensed "hostility and was feeling accosted by us". It ended in the manager telling us we needed to find another establishment to go to and he offered no explanation as to why we weren't allowed in. We arrived on time, we were dressed to the 9s and we were respectful. Since this establishment only accommodates 22 people at a time, I'm guessing they overbooked themselves and instead of apologizing and accepting responsibility, the manager flipped their error back on us, the customers. This was such poor and unprofessional business practice. Vegas has a slew of speakeasys to choose from, avoid this one at all costs.

Great, classy little speakeasy in the heart of the craziness of Downtown. Drinks were excellent. Service was solid. Ideally there’s be a way to muffle more of the sound from the club on the other side of the wall but I’m sure it’s not playing all the time. Would recommend this place

This place is incredible! The atmosphere is very authentic and laid back. The service was superb from start to finish. And the drinks were amazing!!! The mixologist was absolutely spot on. Most of the time we gave him 3-5 flavors we like. And he made a drink to match our flavor profile. They were all delicious, clever, and inspiring. Well done, sir. Well done!

Great ambiance. Great cocktails. The popcorn is delicious. Our host, Kit, and bartender, Nicholas?, were amazing. Malik, the front door security was so nice as well! Would 100% go back Heads up, they have a dress code not listed on their website. For women, if your sandals are without a strap you will be turned away but we saw a lady in there with orthotic sketchers? 😂 Very odd rule and clearly made up by a male

So intimate , private, old school and feeling like you just went back in time ! You enter into the bar and you know you are in for a special experience. The bartender is beyond educated and truly puts his craft to work for the guests. Based on your preferences of tastes the bartender will mix you a cocktail tailored just for you and delicious! I cannot wait to go again well worth it and then some !

This place is super cool. The cocktails are amazing. I even created my own cocktail with the list of words they offer and it was exactly what I wanted. The only downside is the music at the club next door is soooo loud and kind of ruins the vibe. But I’d definitely go again. The staff was really cool too

Loved everything about this place, down to the smallest detail! Really evokes the historic speakeasy. The drinks were out of this world too - and strong! The Deadpan was the bomb.

Had an amazing time. The staff were incredibly accommodating and friendly. Unique and delicious cocktails all around. The mixologist did a wonderful job guiding us and recommending drinks. We got a welcome cocktail to "hold us over" while we waited our turn to order. The attention to detail and attentiveness to the guests is unmatched. I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a laid back vibe, delicious craft cocktails, and incredible service. My only regret is that I'm not local to be able to join them again sooner.

Beautiful space and a really cool vibe. Chelsea, the hostess, was really welcoming. The cocktails were extremely well done, although if you live near a big city, you've probably got a local joint that's just as obsessive about their craft. I think the bartender the night we were there was a little too impressed with his skills - he was borderline rude about demanding your attention. I understand they're trying to go for a whole experience, but at the end of the day, the point of a speakeasy (or any hospitality venture) is to provide a place to have fun and gather ... the rules here are bit much. If you're okay with a church like environment and enjoy cocktails, it's worth a stop. Definitely recommend freestyling a cocktail (by just giving a bunch of things you like) - that was the most interesting one I had all night.

Immaculate cocktails in a properly private setting. Honestly no more expensive than you would pay for comparable drinks in any other major city. No beer/wells/wine

We went here after our golf trip and it was phenomenal! Kylie needs her own custom cocktail page from her drinks because her choices were amazing. Ricky was pretty good but I’ll definitely be back.

A very high quality, intimate, and seemingly authentic speakeasy experience. Even had a live piano player. You're expected to keep your voices low, to have good manners, and to really enjoy the creativity and excellence of the bartending (truly world class cocktails), so if that sounds good to you, you'll love it. If you just want a basic mixed drink and want to let loose, go elsewhere.
