I had high hopes for this place but left unsatisfied. It did not live up to the hype. Presentation-wise, food is beautiful and looks very appetizing. One issue I had is that we were not given much attention, and several times we were without water and no server would come to give us a bottle of water for our table. We started with the chicken skins, pork belly, and bacon jam appetizers. The chicken skins were served with a smoked honey. It was decent, skins were really crispy and honey did have a little smokiness, but it was missing some flavor or seasoning on the skins itself. The pork belly dish was nice and the pork was super soft, but it had a little off putting taste in the pork belly itself which I haven’t tasted in pork belly dishes anywhere else. The bacon jam was my favorite, with a great tasting bacon jam (super sweet), but the cheese on top was just one solidified chunk. It would have been nice for the cheese to be more spread out with potentially some crumbled bacon on top. For the main courses, we got burgers (turkey burgers and regular burgers). The turkey burger was supposed to have a spicy mango chutney, but there was none. Instead, it just had coleslaw on top (it would have been nice to specify the burger has slaw on the menu). The beef burgers were cooked to well done and were dry. They didn’t ask us how we wanted our burgers cooked which should have been a red flag. Overall, service was bad, food was very average, and this place isn’t somewhere I would personally revisit.

The food is meant to be shared. I thought it was all really good.. not amazing though! We only ordered a few basic things so I may need to go try others, they have a lot to offer. We had a reservation and they were very accommodating to us being late. You could blink & miss the place so keep your eyes open!

We had an excellent experience with the unique fusion cuisine at this restaurant. We tried almost everything on the menu, from exquisite dishes to more familiar flavors that everyone can enjoy. The presentation of the pork belly, resembling sushi, was particularly impressive with its crispy exterior and vibrant taste. I was so captivated by it that I managed to snap a photo of the dish towards the end of the meal!

Went to celebrate my college graduation. The food was a bit pricey for the scale/ portion. Waisted a total of $160 por a party of 3 and we were okay hunger wise. Most if not all food options are extremely salty and with a kick of 🌶 spicy. We orders everything below and a hamburger combo with chicken skins which were extremely greasy! The most deceiving plates of all is the short rib steak that wasn’t more than 6 inches in length and 1 inch in width! For $30 dollars I just assume the scale was a bit bigger!!! The macaroni and cheese I think was the only thing we all liked. We do not recommend and will not be returning. You’d honestly be better off going to Cheesecake Factory which the food is great and well balanced and similar in price however scale is better and more delicious! Oh almost forgot the hamburger when received had so much juice the bottom bread was soggy! The pizzas was okay, but would not recommended! I’d go to pizza rock! If I had to recommend one thing it would be the macaroni! Good luck!

Ever have food so good that.... ...you taste the love in it? ...you wanted to slap your baby mama? ...you see Aliens on the way to the restroom? ...the tots whisk you back to childhood memories? ...you have chunks of bacon in your dessert? …you should call it tempura green beans w/ ‘Holy Aioli’ ...you talk about your upbringing with awesome Eric? ...the chicken melts in your mouth? ...the brioche bun reminds you of a nice tush? ...the brownie is so decadent you can't finish it all? ...you leave satisfied..sans empty wallet syndrome? ...you come out of Yelp retirement just to write this review? YES. YOU. GO. NOW.

EXCEPTIONAL dining experience. Five years ago, I had such an memorable experience here, that I couldn’t wait to come back. Alec (our server) was absolutely delightful. He made amazing recommendations and we thoroughly enjoyed everything we tried. Alec recommended the Bees Knees and the Trusty Rusty and they were unique and refreshing. The Social Plates we ordered were so delicious and the Pork Loin was perfectly cooked. Amazing food, amazing service, amazing ambiance.

[3.5 stars, rounded down] I had a friend in town from San Francisco and we were meeting up for lunch. Not having tried Carson Kitchen before, I chose this location for four of us and we made reservations for 11:30. First, Google shows the place as opening at noon, so that needs fixing. Second, we got there about 11:25 and come 11:30, they still weren’t opening the doors and leaving us customers out in this muggy monsoon weather. I’ll say off the bat that our server was very cool and took care of us well enough. But the guy at the front (owner?) couldn’t even bother to say hello to anyone as all of us walked in. I understand that some folks are anti-social, but if you are, maybe don’t be standing at the entrance. The food was pretty good, overall. The deviled eggs were a good starter and the black rice risotto was delicious - so rich. I enjoyed the fish but nobody else did. The rest of the table liked the tacos okay but I didn’t like it at all. The macaroni and cheese was on-point. We all liked the pork belly, and exactly NOBODY liked the steak. Tough and dry. Hit or miss. They have a decent beer and wine menu. We stayed on for one drink each since we hadn’t seen this friend in a long while. Had the weather been more fit for human survival, we’d have opted to sit out on the patio for after-lunch drinks. I can’t say that I’ll be back. There’s just too much good food downtown or all over Vegas to frequent a spot that serves hit-or-miss food with inconsistent service and people not even greeting you on a Saturday morning as they enter when you open.

Atmosphere: 🙁 Service: 😠 Food: 😀 We had a reservation for the Restaurant but were seated at the counter. It afforded a great view of the kitchen, which we enjoyed. Unfortunately it was also next to a door in constant use which gave us a blast of cold wintery air each minute or so. If they walk you to this seat, I would suggest you not sit there. The server was very nice. She had a cute look and a broad smile. Sadly the expediter (kitchen service manager which ensures food is prepared properly) set her up to fail. Our entrees came out at very different times! Almost 10 minutes apart. When the manager walked by we asked “Do you know if our other meal is on the way? It’s been several minutes.” His reply was “They come out at different times but I’ll check.” and he walked away and didn’t come back. NOT service recovery by my standard. He brought the food over several more minutes later saying “This takes longer.” And just put the plate down. That’s not close to a $110 dining experience. The service nearly wrecked what was a very tasty meal. As for the food we would definitely recommend the duck tacos. They come 3 to a plate so it’s extra if you want four. They were excellent so I don’t have a problem with that. The short rib steak was very good if slightly overcooked. The green sauce was excellent. Very peppery. The salmon was also excellent. I am not a fan of polenta, but its sweetness was a great accompaniment. Overall great food but the customer service was iffy.

We came here as a part of our Vegas trip and we really love the food here. I will definitely suggest to order chicken and beer especially IPA because those are the specials here. The chicken is so fresh and the food is really so good all my friends loved it even including a shrimp and other food items which we ordered I will definitely suggest this restaurant every one who are in their trip to Vegas when they’re leaving back or any time because he is in the best spot and this is like the best place to hang out with your friends. The hospitality and infrastructure inside is so good

Carson Kitchen is a wonderfully refreshing restaurant just off the strip in Las Vegas. We have enjoyed Carson Kitchen over the years as one of our go to places in Vegas, we flew in from PDX and Carson Kitchen was dinner night number 1! The restaurant has a full bar, inside dining, roof top dining, and a courtyard patio. The restaurant specializes in creating unique American dishes and outstanding mixology for wonderful cocktails! Ingredients are always fresh, dishes are perfectly prepared. One unique and refreshing aspect of Carson Kitchen's craft is "shared small dishes". Your order is cooked and brought out as it's prepared and done, the dishes ordered are meant to be shared across the table. In my experience, this fosters interesting mealtime conversation. The service is always great, portions are perfect, and the prices are very reasonable! Do yourself a favor and give Carson Kitchen a try, you'll be coming back for more! Inside tip, be sure to try the Bacon Jam Appitizer a try! If you find my review helpful please give me a thumbs-up 👍! Thank you!

Celebrating co-workers birthday and was lucky enough to get kitchen view seating at the bar. Amazed watching such skills in preparing all the dishes! Started off with Daddy Wags cocktail, which was perfect combination of tequila with citrus and spice. Starters were crispy chicken skins and deviled eggs, both winners! Great for sharing. Next was chicken thighs, Mexican street polenta, and cauliflower. Chicken and polenta were delicious. Cauliflower was just lacking flavor for me. Great service and a pleasure to watch the kitchen at work!

Location: It’s a Hidden Gem in a treasure map of Dinning possibilities, small, cozy and always full, Some may say, in Las Vegas there is a lot possibilities to have a place like this, agree, but this is unique, and just a few blocks from the Strip. Service: Great, friendly, they review your order, 10 tables, great siting. You can also order To-go. I had the chance to speak to Rachel, the kind of manager that make you fill warm and at home, I'm ready to come back again. Menu: Small plates.  Happily Surprised of the different choices you have, Hot or Cold; there is not one plate i didn't like. Bottled and fountain drinks, nice list of wines, full bar. Food: Great. As a reference We had, Devil's eggs, Pork Belly, Crispy chicken skins, Oysters, Rainbow cauliflower, Beet Tartare, Bacon Jam, Short rib steak, Ox Tail Risotto, Chicken Thighs and Bread Pudding. Price: $$$ / 5. Worth every penny. Overall: I will comeback and highly recommend it. Quality over Price. To those that know about Tapas, this is a perfect place. Eating Habits (vegetarian, vegan) I don't know every thing that I had except the Beet Tartare all had meat, but I will never compromise their choice over their quality food witch is Superb.

This was a cool little spot. Andrew the bartender was amazing! He was knowledgeable about the menu and his drinks...Whoooaaa! The server who helped, I didnt catch her name, she was extremely helpful and went above and beyond. But the food....well.. left a little to be desired. First up, the deviled eggs, they were really good. The bacon jam tasted old made mostly of grease, barely had any cheese, which was suprising as they boast about this bacon jam. The Instagram photos hype it up, but fails in its actual delivery. The short rib flat bread would have been amazing if the short ribs didnt taste like it was days old. The chicken thighs were charred to perfection (Coming from a person who usually doesn't care for dark meat chicken). The sauce was also tasty and made the dish. The mac and cheese was creamy and decent. I cant say I would recommend for the food, but for great drinks and atmosphere it's a win.

The group ventured off the strip and dined here per a recommendation and glad we visited! All of our dishes were great, the atmosphere was laid back / casual and service was fantastic. If you plan to visit, we recommend making reservations as the place was packed throughout the evening. In addition to the Flatbread, beet tartar and pork belly, we tried the short rib steak, baked mac and cheese and brownie with bacon ice cream. The brownie was okay and ice cream was great. I would recommend having the bread pudding vs. the brownie. We also ordered a few drinks and the total bill was under $200 with tip. Overall, highly recommend.

Amazing experience at this little gem near the Strip. Every dishes we took (9) was marvelous, so original in textures and flavors, the taste buds were amazed. The 3 favorites will be : - Bacon Jam with toasts - Pork Belly - Donut with caramel and custard. Cocktails are also very nice and original. Really good vibes in this restaurant, with such a vibrant and happy team who brings true joy to the service. Recommend 100%

Dropped in for a couple of drinks and shared plates last night. Everything was spot on - the menu was intriguing and delivered magic. Drinks were complex and the staff were an absolute riot. Loved every minute. We tried the deviled eggs, crispy chicken skins, gyro tacos and beet tartare. Lots more to try next time!

I’ve been here in 2017 and now in 2021. The place has the same level of standards as it had before or in face even better. You should definitely try the bacon jam. It’s one of the best I’ve had in my life. The butter burger is amazing as well

Absolutely AMAZING!!!! Yes you have to be open minded when looking at the menu. So I looked at the menu at home and was immediately Sold on the Fried Chicken Skins and didn't read past that. When we got there and looked at the rest of the menu we couldn't figure out what to order, because it had very different or unique things on the menu.( Also my Wife is not into different kinds of food) She Got the Iron Chef Burger Plain with just Cheese. This looked like the most Amazing Cheeseburger I have ever seen. Cheese melting down all side with a double patty. She Loved it. I Had the Pork Meatloaf and my mouth is watering just thinking about it and writing this. Now for what I am writing last about, but we had first. Fried Chicken Skins with a Honey did on the side. It was WOW WOW WOW!!!!!! Honestly the whole review should have just been WOW WOW WOW!!!! We will be Back

My wife and I dined in at this restaurant due to high reviews both on Google and Tripadvisor in addition to other sources online. The location is convenient and is right near Fremont Street. The food here was absolutely delicious. We ordered the crispy chicken skins, mac n cheese, NY strip, oxtail risotto and some bourbon fudge brownie for dessert. I absolutely recommend the black rice and oxtail risotto. My goodness, it was so good that I can easily say it was the highlight of our Vegas trip. Definitely try it out and see for yourself! Other menu items were great, we definitely ordered too much. We weren't the biggest fans of the bourbon fudge brownie, because it had bacon bits in the ice cream. If you love bacon, check out the brownie!

I absolutely love this restaurant. Unique and delicious food abound. A great whiskey selection and well-crafted cocktails. Killer "vibe" with great music and a relaxed atmosphere. The Devil's Eggs are fun and delicious. Gin Riggies meal hits at every level (from the rabbit & snake sausage to the phenomenal garlic bread). Beet Tartare is interesting and tasty. I can't say anything bad about this place.

The food was sooo amazing. I went with a friend here and we both agreed this is a place to come to every year we visit vegas. We sat at the “chef’s bar” I love these seats as you get to see everything. We loved everything except for the Bourbon brownie dessert. Ice cream and bacon was really good, but the brownie was sooo hard that we couldnt break through with the spoon and so overly powerful with the bourbon taste that we didnt end up eating it. We def wont get this item again, but the other dessert was really good. This place was 10000x better food than the “top of the world” restaurant. Thank me later and just come here!

How anyone could give this place less than 5 stars is beyond me. We were fortunate enough to sit at the chef's counter. In my opinion, the cocoa/espresso crusted strip is second to no other steak in Vegas. You can't beat the price either. Watching Claudia behind the counter was like watching an artist paint a masterpiece. You can tell she loves her job and that love comes through in the food. Brooke was on the spot and made our dining experience one to remember. The fact that the menu is constantly changing is bitter/sweet. We definitely look forward to our next visit. Pics to follow.

Decided to go here on a random Friday night without a reservation. They managed to get us in after just a few minutes of waiting. The food was really good definitely try the deviled eggs and if you want a sweet treat go for the brownie with bourbon bacon ice-cream but be warned it's super decadent and should be shared with atleast one other person!

The Butter Burger was delicious. They were easily able to take care of our daughter in law who has a gluten allergy. Even cooked her burger in a separate skillet and made a special cauliflower side for her. Staff was excellent. My only negative was our appetizer came during our meal instead of before.

We ordered 5 small plates: the deviled eggs with caviar, lamb tacos, spicy peppered shrimp, a burger and Mac & cheese. Every single dish was delicious! With wine & dessert, it was an excellent meal. Definitely a memorable dining experience! Kudos, Carson Kitchen!!

Always try to hit up the Carson Kitchen when in Vegas. One of the few non-chain or celebrity restaurants to be found that focuses on good ingredients prepared to perfection. So many great choices on this menu but I always go back to the cheeseburger. One of the best in the country. Great staff that's always upbeat and helpful as well!

Had a lovely business colleague dinner here at this off Fremont gem. We ended up ordering a bunch of stuff off the menu to share across five of us along with some cocktails. I started with a pricey bourbon/bacon craft cocktail that was absolutely delicious and worth the extra $. Everything we ordered in terms of food was very good. Deviled Eggs, Chicken Skins, Bacon Jam (SO good), Killer Shrimp, Wonton Crunch, Mexican Street Polenta (superb), Three Bean Salad, Minted Snap Peas and a Short Rib Flatbread. We had to try dessert of course so got the Fudge Brownie and Donut Bread Pudding... wonderful! The service was friendly, good and we all enjoyed our dinner experience here!

Fun place for tapas. Good music and good vibes. Great drink recommendation, "Fine, You?". Great whiskey. Had the deviled eggs, gyro tacos, and the oxtail risotto. My favorite was the risotto. It is a good place to share food — I came alone so it was kind of hard to enjoy as much.

We had a rare opportunity to gather with old friends who happened to be in the Las Vegas area at the same time, and wanted to share a meal that was more than the ordinary. After reading reviews and menus for several establishments Carson Kitchen appeared to be just what we were looking for, and they were able to accommodate our party of nine on relatively short notice. We were not disappointed; the atmosphere, food, and attentive and accommodating staff made our impromptu reunion a memorable experience.

Great service and setting Had the deviled eggs first, very delicious start, best I've ever had. After that the grilled oysters, very flavorful, although I wanted to scrape the adductor muscle off and was unable to because the shell was so hot. Not a big deal. The short rib steak was heavenly tender and the sauce brought a little brightness to the savoriness and char. The Mac and cheese was extremely good. Since everything I had dine in was so perfect I decided to get some things to go. The burger was very good. I felt the oxtail risotto was a tad salty but also very good. The fried eggplant felt a tad bready and the pickled tomatoes were a bit sharp.

Food changes every 2 years, so I am speaking to the food which is currently on the menu. All I can say is the all around experience was phenomenal. The drinks from the bar well balanced and diverse. The food is shareable between two people similar to tapas. We had the bacon jam and short rib steak which was beyond delicious. If you are planning on eating on the Las Vegas strip do not waste your time and especially your money. Eat at Carson’s kitchen hands down !

Found it while browsing for places to eat while scrolling through downtown. The atmosphere, the food.. the local and small beers they had. Delicious all over. Definitely a place to eat at when you want real good food and get away from the wild buzz Fremont, just a block away gives. Thanks for giving me a great evening of talks and for the local recommendations of places to visit!

Visited while doing the Lip Smacking Foodie Tour. Got to meet the owner when we stopped here which always adds a touch of personalizing. The fire oven adds a smell that adds to the experience and enhances the food experience. Another round of foods and a place that you might never experience but really should stop and eat here.

Went to this little gem late on a Friday night and it was not busy. The food and flavor combinations are unique and presented beautifully. The ambiance is perfect for a date or night out with friends. They have cocktails available, but I did not order one. The menu is simple, but everything sounds delicious, so there is something to satisfy everyone. The staff is welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu. Can't wait fine here again to try out their other items!

Great atmosphere, fun, professional staff. I went there alone and sat at the bar. The staff was very attentive and genuinely nice. I had the Cosmic cider, Mac & cheese, and pork meatloaf. Everything was really good. The meatloaf was amazing, the texture and BBQ sauce was so good, very flavorful. I liked the truffle oil and bread crumbs in the Mac. I will definitely come back and I would absolutely order these items again. My food was served hot off the line. Thank you for a lovely dinner!

Nice courtyard. Rooftop dining an option. Clothing ranged from jeans and t-shirt --> dressed to impress. Great service. The shrimp was good, the street corn salad, and the mushroom pizza ALL GOOD! The donut dessert was amazing. The bacon ice cream was unexpected and worth every bite. I could do without the fudge brownie.

William and I really love eating at Carson's kitchen. The chicken skins were all we could have hoped they would be in much more. It's a really good place to get an assortment of appetizers and some drinks at. We will definitely be going again. The pork belly was delicious as were the deviled eggs. Also it's just a little bit off Fremont Street so if you prefer something slightly quieter while you're eating it's kind of perfect for that.

Trendy restaurant with outdoor patio near Freemont Street. The food was amazing, we tried 4 dishes and shared them all. The desserts are out of this world. Very friendly staff. It was freezing inside so bring a jacket. I'd definitely recommend and return.

GREAT ALTERNATIVE TO DINING ON THE STRIP! Carson Kitchen is the perfect antidote to so many over the top restaurants in Vegas. A delicious variety of shared plates - we had the Halibut, tacos, wilted spinach and donut bread pudding for dessert. We were seated in their comfy courtyard on a pleasant evening. Alec was all we could want in a server. Prices are reasonable, especially in a tourist destination. I seldom give 5 stars, but I couldn’t think of a reason why I shouldn’t.
