In A Nutshell: -I've eaten at Battista's Hole In The Wall a couple times. -Both times have been (once way before the pandemic & during the pandemic), each time has been a good experience. -Expect a crowded & busy atmosphere, but the staff do a good job & are attentive. -I suggest you make a reservation to avoid a long wait. -Once seated in the long restaurant, you'll be able to look at the many old photos on their walls which will take you back into time of famous & not so famous faces. -The menu is also on the wall, so you can start gathering an idea of what you'd like to order before you are handed a physical menu. -Keep in mind that you get free red & white wine, plus a cappuccino for your drinks. -You also get a choice of minestone soup or salad and their delicious garlic bread. -I've had both their spaghetti w/ meatballs & most recently their sausage cacciatore. -Each of the above dishes are very, very good. -I like to substitute the noodles w/ angel hair pasta, which they do for free. Overall, if you want to take a group of friends/family to a active, energetic Italian restaurant, I would take them to this legendary restaurant right off the Strip off of Flamingo.

Pictures can not do justice to this amazing cuisine, minestrone or anti pasta salad comes with every meal, Steak Pizzaiola, spaghetti with meat sauce and meatballs, table wine and never ending garlic bread was delicious and cappuccino at the end of our meal all included was the perfect end to an absolutely stellar meal! Looks like a dive but you will not regret going to this fabulous Vegas restaurant!!! The old school ambience was awesome, the food was amazingly delicious and the service was impeccable!!! A little pricey but absolutely worth the price!!

Our party of 19 were seated right away. Our server was very good, excellent as a matter of fact. Salad, garlic bread and drinks were delivered very fast after ordering our drinks. The menu selection is small but quality dishes were available. I had the steak pizzaollo. A steak served with tomato sauce and mushrooms sauce over pasta. Quality ingredients and flavors. The steak was ordered medium rare but came out dry. ( Overcooked ). My wife had the chicken Alfredo. Quality chunks of chicken perfectly cooked. The noodles were dry. ( Not enough sauce ). Overall not bad

This place was delicious! I got the shrimp pesto linguine and boy did it have so much flavor! My boyfriend got the chicken Parmesan with a side of noodles and he added Alfredo sauce, he actually loved the noodles with Alfredo sauce more than the chicken. The bread was also really good but the cappuccino they give you at the end is really the cherry on top! We will definitely come back next time we’re in Vegas!

53 Years!!! I pass by Battista's Hole in The Wall restaurant quite often and I'm glad I finally stopped by. Old school vibe with multiple dining rooms. Menu's are on the wall and next to the table. Our servers name was Doug. He was very nice and checked up on us from time to time. Food: Shrimp with Garlic and Butter aka Shrimp Scampi (I wouldn't order it again.) Ziti with Meat Sauce side Meatball (I would order this dish again.) You also get a choice of soup or salad. I opt for the minestrone soup. It was very flavorful. Pick your wine, red or white and they give you a carafe. Ended our dinner with a cappuccino. OMG!! Delicious. Overall, the exterior can be intimidating but the interior is beautiful. Definitely a great hole in the wall restaurant.

All the food would have made Nonna happy. Generous portions and fantastic service reminded me of dinner with my family!! Traveling on business, food can be a gamble. I was NOT disappointed at all. Authentic lasagna and the meal included everything from bread and wine to cappuccino at the end. Haly is an awesome server. I truly appreciated her candid recommendations and spirit. 5/5* Highly recommend!

They call it the Italian Hole in the wall, but let me tell you it's probably one of the best Italian Restaurants I've eaten at! They should you, bring you a nice salad, free jig of house wine, the entree was huge and for a simple but much needed desert they bring you a house made cappuccino with whip cream that's to die for! We absolutely enjoyed this place. The decor is amazing, numerous celebs gave eaten here and their pictures are on the wall, this is a family owned business which appears was started way before my time and has continued passing down the family tree!

As usual, this place is one of the most unique restaurant experiences in Vegas. It's strangely affordable, and the food is fantastic. The wine actually does flow as "all you can drink", and the staff are top notch. It's well worth going, but make sure to get a reservation.

This is a true "Old Vegas" experience that should not be missed. From reading reviews, we knew reservations were a must. We arrived about 20 minutes prior to our reservation time, which was about 5 minutes before they opened for the evening, and had to wait outside until doors opened. It was kind of fun to be able to mingle and talk to others who were visiting from all over the world and get their take on Battista's. As soon as we were allowed inside, we were immediately seated. If we had not done our "research" we would have been confused as to the menu and how to order as our waiter was not very friendly, ok, he was downright grumpy. We were not about to let this ruin my daughter's birthday celebration and just laughed it off. The most delicious bread was immediately brought to our table, and there was a ton of it! Seriously some of the best bread I have ever had! We were also given the choice of white or red wine. We don't drink but still wanted the "experience"and ordered the red. We didn't care for it, probably because we aren't drinkers. We were a bit surprised at how our water glasses were not filled when empty. That garlic bread made us thirsty and most of the meal we were wanting water. We were not asked if we wanted soup or salad and the wrong choice was made for us. Once we were able to get the server's attention, we were brought our salads.Salad was fresh and good, just not great...nothing special.Service was pretty quick and our main course was brought out in a very short amount of time. Both of our meals were absolutely delicious and were very large servings. I have honestly not had better manicotti in my life. My daughter order the chicken alfredo, and it too was delicious. The chicken was superb. It was a beautiful color and was very moist. We were brought our "cappuccino" which was delicious, but I am 99.9% convinced it was Swiss Miss Cocoa with spray whipped cream on top. I love Swiss Miss, so that was not an issue, but it did give me a chuckle at the thought of the raving reviews about the cappuccino. Since we were celebrating my daughter's birthday, a brownie with a candle was brought out to her. Our server, literally, threw it on the table, mumbled happy birthday, and walked away. Again, we had a good giggle! The food here was delicious and we will make it a point to visit again. And, it was a fun experience, even if our server was having a bad night, we were not about to let him ruin our night. The food was a 5, the service was about a 2 or 3, but I still enjoyed the night and opted for a solid 4 star review.

Used to come here when I was a kid. Just as good if not better than i remember. Great service by Giovanni, delicious lasagna with meat sauce, Italian salad and garlic bread! I especially loved that. It wasn’t loud, and I could actually hear my husband. Highly recommend!

The atmosphere was unique, local feel, popular, large portions, great variety and impressive service with how busy it was. Reasonably priced with wine included with each meal.

Unique and fun. We visited as a family of 3. From the moment you walk in, it's like taking a step back into time. The old Vegas charm filled with items from the past and the aroma of the garlic bread let you know you are in for a fun experience. Reservations aren't required; but highly recommended. Service was excellent; thanks Richard! Our glasses never got empty. We were greeted with fresh warm garlic bread, drinks, and our choice of white or red wine. You get several included items with your meal, the waiter will help you along the way. The portions are large and very filling. We tried the lasagna, baked ziti, and chicken fettuccine Alfredo. All were excellent. The cappuccino was the perfect ending. Our 10 year old absolutely loved everything about this place. We will be back. Great place for families, couples, newly wed (lots of brides and grooms during our visit), and solos folks as well. The staff is very friendly and efficient. We will be back!!!

Authentic Italian food and service! I had the steak Caruso and the Mrs had the veal. Both were excellent paired with free house wine, garlic toast. After dinner cappuccino is complimentary. The tiramasu was perfect. Highly recommend.

So glad I finally went here. This place is amazing! There's a reason why it's always packed and you usually need to make a reservation. The food was great. The service was great! The atmosphere is literally like stepping back in time, something that is like a breath of fresh air in a place where things are always changing. This is going to be a must go to place for me from now on when visiting Vegas!

Ate dinner there tonight for the first time and it was delicious. It’s everything for one price soup or salad, your entrée usually with a side vegetable and pasta and a craft of house wine. I had the veal piccata and it was delicious. Sautéed green beans and mushrooms came with it. I definitely will be back again and it’s right across the street from Bally‘s.

Everything was great for what it is and value. Awesome old nostalgic restaurant in Vegas near the Flamingo (a 4 minute walk around the corner). My friend ordered the eggplant parm, and I got the Ribeye. Everything is all-inclusive. And service is fast and quick. The salad was good. I wasn't a huge fan of the garlic bread. The wine was included in our meal, and they brought red and white to the table automatically. The steak was cooked well and sides were great. The only thing I wasn't excited about was the cappuccino. It's basically watered down hot chocolate. We skipped it. But hey, the value can not be beat in Vegas! It was way better than a buffet, and it was the best meal we had while in town (we were in for a conference). I would definitely recommend it.

Absolutely love this restaurant! We came last week because it was recommended to us by a good friend. Came back to town and couldn’t resist to come back here instead of trying a new one. We had the chicken parmigiana with the red wine and of course their coffee. Such a great value and great service!

This is a great spot right behind The Flamingo Casino to meet with a group of friends for an affordable Italian dinner. Great variety of options to please everyone. The meals include house wine, dessert, and coffee so you leave feeling very full. The atmosphere is family friendly.

To sit in the dining room requires a reservation. We got a table near the bar walk-in. Our server was hardworking and efficient. Food was excellent. White wine was delicious--sweet. We had lasagna. Tiramisu was dreamy! Would definitely recommend and will return if we re-visit Vegas.

For about $40 bucks this place is amazing. Complimentary house wine and soup. Had the chopped clams linguini and shared the steak. Great service and ambiance. Will be back.

If you want a fun little spot without having to leave the strip, this is a great getaway for an affordable (for Vegas) Italian meal. It was really nice break from the norm from the convention hotel. The the waitress was so sweet and attentive! I had the spaghetti and meatballs (which were really good!), salad (really great), red wine (nothing fancy but tasty and free with a meal), cappuccino (instant coffee and hot chocolate with readi whip, do not recommend), and tiramisu (yummy). As the pricing goes: great for Vegas but pricey for anywhere else. You get a lot of food and free wine so it makes for a solid choice away from the overpriced alternatives nearby.

Great authentic Italian restaurant. I loved everything about it. The service, the food, and the ambiance. Get there early or make a reservation. Very popular spot...

This is historic landmark in Vegas that has stood the test of time. Just off the strip it can be a challenge to even get a table without reservations the place is huge and packed with memorabilia and atmosphere. The walls are a who’s who’s of their famous guests.. The service is fast and enthusiastic. They are very attentive. The food is Italian and there are 4 categories of prices with several options under each category. Price point is fair. The meal comes with salad, bread and main dish. The wine, house red or white, is unlimited. They keep you carafes well filled. We enjoyed the salad but it was pretty small serving. One of us had the sirloin which sadly was tough and over cooked. It lacked much flavor. They brought the wrong pasta on the side. The other had the shrimp scampi with garlic and butter it which was very good. We shared a tiramisu which was excellent!! This is a fun experience with a lovely staff. Highly recommended especially if you want step back in time.

A fantastic place, the atmosphere is playful and fun (though others might think there's a bit of clutter, I thought it was charming). Service is 10/10. Servers are no nonsense, they are there to do a job and they do it well. You run out of wine? Instant refill. Same with water. Strategic as well, as we sat down we were immediately asked what our appetizers would be as the menu includes them in every dish. That way food was already being prepared while we decided on entrees. Food itself, amazing. Simple but delicious. You don't need a menu with 100 items. Pick 15 - 20 and do them well, and that's exactly what Battista's did. This is going to become a tradition every time I visit Vegas from here on out.

Absolutely a fabulous restaurant just a block off the strip behind the Flamingo you'll find this "old time" Las Vegas style authentic Italian restaurant! As soon as you walk in the door you feel relaxed, welcomed and removed from the hustle and bustle... Such a pleasant feeling you will be glad to experience. Battista's has been recommended for years and to be honest I have been reluctant to try, so don't let the location or look from outside keep you away like me. The inside is decorated with lots of memorabilia from back in the day. The tables are dressed somewhat elegantly and could suit that special occasion if you wanted. Opened in 1970 the place has stood the test of time! The service is welcoming, quick and efficient. Hot garlic bread served, and carafes of red & white wine are complimentary. Plenty of traditional Italian dishes, like the lasagna we had was delicious! So was the lobster & linguini, chicken marsala and steak too. Enjoy, lmk what you think!

Absolutely amazing. Just worth all the hype. Just be prepared to go with a reservation. Then the atmosphere is great full of memorabilia. Then as stater you can have a salad or minestrone soup.... I had the salad which was very tasty and the garlic bread which is amazing. The house wine is sweet and not too geavy, nice to accompany a pasta dish. Then I had spaghetti with meatballs... which was super tasty. Finally they serve a capuccino and I ordered a tiramisu. Everything was very tasty.

Had dinner at Batistas Hole in the Wall. The place has an amazing old school Italian charm. Pictures of celebrities adorn the walls. A carafe of house red or white wine accompanies the meal and is included in the price. The meal included your choice of minestrone soup or an Italian salad. Both were very good. A buttery, garlic bread was served with soup or salad. The entree items were posted on the wall or on a printed menu. There were many choices. I had the veal Marsala while my wife had the pasta with a garlic shrimp cream sauce topped with a lobster tail. Both were outstanding. The meal finished with a cappuccino (included in the price). Because we were celebrating a birthday we got a warm chocolatey brownie with a candle. Giovani, our waiter, was friendly and attentive. When we left we asked where we could find a cab. The hostess then ran down the street and flagged us a cab. Now that is attention to detail in customer service. If you are in Vegas, you have to come here for great Italian food and service.

There’s not much else that I can say about Battista’s that hasn’t already been said on here a million times. The food is really good, the atmosphere is classic Vegas, and the wine flows freely and is included in the price of your meal. An after dinner cappuccino is also included, and is a very tasty end to your dining experience. The only slight criticism is that the restaurant is kind of dark in certain areas, but that just adds to the ambience for me. Overall, this is a wonderful restaurant and is surprisingly affordable for being just off the Vegas strip. Take the short walk here, you won’t regret it!

  • 5/5 Jacob F. 11 months ago on Google
Went here on a buddy’s recommendation and I was not disappointed! Such a cool vibe, a great value, my server Doug was phenomenal. The free house wine was a big plus too. This is a must if you’re in Vegas.

  • 5/5 Michael S. 9 months ago on Google
This was a hard restaurant to review. The food was solid, but not exceptional. However, there is incredible history inside and the menu is particularly interesting. Instead of being a la carte, everything is included in the price and there are different price levels depending on the dish you want. Your meal will include a salad or soup, as much garlic bread as you can eat, a carafe of house wine, your entree and a post meal cappuccino, which is really just a hot chocolate. You can swap out the wine for extra cost. They also have other drinks, like grappa or lemoncello. They also have desserts (the cheesecake was excellent!) I ordered the Chicken Rio, which was good, but perhaps could have used a bit more sauce. The eggplant parm was also good, but I've had better and much worse. The salad was solid and garlic bread was tasty but always seemed to be cold.

I really do like this place. The prices were good, all of the restaurant staff were great. The restaurant interior is also really cool. On this visit the food taste was not as good as previous visits. The restaurant had quite a few open tables, however crammed a large party of us in one smaller room that was filled already (chair back to chair back at the tables).

  • 5/5 Stephanie B. 7 months ago on Google
Truly is a fun experience with good Italian fare so close to the Strip. I will keep coming back. The inclusive pricing is very positive.

  • 5/5 Nicholas F. 1 year ago on Google
First class service and food with a lot of charm. They were booked up online and still let us make a reservation on the phone. The waiters were nearly mind-reading in terms of service and the ambience/decor was fun too. Did I mention unlimited wine with dinner? I said a nice word to the hostess as I left.

  • 4/5 Randy G. 1 year ago on Google
An experience for sure. Very very old school. Menu on the walls and at the table. Italian salad was good but definitely prepared ahead and waiting for delivery to the table ( quite chilly ). Minestrone soup was good but not hot. House wine was okay but maybe a little light on alcohol. Lots of garlic bread provided, a bowl of pasta for the table ( not really needed with the amount of food ) . Mains: Veal Marsala, meat was rather tough. Lasagna, cannelloni and eggplant parmigiana, the sauce was quite sweet and less cheese would have been fine. Included cappuccino was more of a lukewarm watery hot chocolate with a mound of whipped cream on top. Not much coffee. Limoncello was good quality. Price wise it was reasonable.

  • 5/5 Banger Lo T. 1 year ago on Google
Super excellent Italian supper place!! You get salad and wine and garlic bread and pasta and cappuccino and it's all for one price and they don't skimp either. They make lasagna and cheese ravioli. They also do zodiac spaghetti and meatballs and sausage. They have some chicken dishes that are delicious. All these things you can find here and I think you're really gonna like that I have a feeling.

I really love this place - honestly I have no complaints about the food, service, or atmosphere. Get reservations if you're able - it can get packed! Highly recommend the chicken fettucine alfredo- delicious! But honestly, I have not had a bad thing here - definitely worth a trip!!

Great ambiance. Great place for family gatherings and g2g. Italian restaurant. Their starter (soup & bread) is delicious. Waiting time approximately 30 minutes. Good food. Bit expensive I guess as ravioli and lasagna costs $30 each with starter and wine/soft drinks. Great service quality.

  • 5/5 Dawn T. 1 year ago on Google
Food was amazing! Service was great but could have moved faster through courses. The atmosphere is festive but dusty due to multiple "decorations" hanging from the ceiling. Would still do it again anytime! We took our whole wedding party and guests in (with reservations of course) and they were a packed house but everything that counted was amazing! Wine is free with your meal. There is a red and a white which they bring to the table and keep it coming. We had someone fall asleep at the table. 😁
