We’ve been staying at the Bellagio for years and have wanted to try Yellowtail Japanese Restaurant throughout our trips to Nevada. We finally did eat there. The restaurant’s decor, artwork, and view of Bellagio lake are beautiful and artistic. Their hostesses who greeted us at the entrance were very nice. The outdoor seating was also great for viewing the fountain show and had outdoor heat lamps for the wind. A photo is added here that we took from our table. So what was below par was the table service, which took too long for every stage of the meal; and then one of our dishes called “Jidori Chicken” while presented well, offered a bland taste and was overpriced. The clear soup was average - I think they should skip the shrimp. What was very good was the “Braised Wagyu Beef Short Ribs” although the dish was a bit overpriced at almost $50 and came in small portions so almost better to designate as an appetizer. For tea, the super-heavy tea pot was unique and kept our Oolong nice and warm, and the tea cups equally as accommodating. The plates were unique in shape. But bluntly, beyond the look and feel of Yellowtail, and awesome outdoor view of the lake, I was somewhat disappointed. They need to add a fried rice dish, by the way. Since I can’t give a give a 3.5 I’ve given a 4 rating because it’s still in the Bellagio and quite impressive in decorations, menu uniqueness, and vista outside along with a top-tier design inside.

One of my favorite Vegas sushi spots. Try to grab a table outside so you can watch the Bellagio fountain show that happens every 30 mins, it never disappoints. The tuna sushi pizza is the my favorite thing on the menu, we got two of them for our group. All the food was incredible, everything from the fresh sushi to the meat dishes. Services is top notch and cocktails are fun! Make sure you make a reservation in advance, Yellowtail is located inside The Bellagio.

Then coming here since 2010. Cannot stop. The tuna sushi appetizer is mind-bogglingly delicious and that's just the start of the culinary event that you will never forget. Sit at the bar to start your evening and enjoy the festivities going forward. There is no wrong way to do this place if you at least partake in the tuna sushi pizza.

We’ve been a few times before and it’s always amazing. Tonight we brought our two kids and they treated them amazing. Our kids have been to many nice restaurants and I always expect be treated well, but the staff went out of their way to make sure they enjoyed themselves. I can’t express how amazing the servers are.

This is definitely my favorite restaurant in Vegas! The food was exceptional and you can't beat the view of the fountains. We sat outside for my birthday in April. It was absolutely perfect, and the service was beyond amazing! My boyfriend has MS and the entire staff was very accommodating. The did everything they could to make our experience one-of-a-kind. I love Yellowtail, and we will definitely be back in 2023!

Presentation was fantastic the view was fantastic as well. Value of food was definitely not there. The Toro was gross and chewy instead of melt in mouth it was the only item that was actually completely disappointing. The rest were good - okay but overpriced.

If you are in Vegas and you are looking for a top sushi restaurant, this is the place. Food was incredible, the service was great as well and the views of the Bellagio fountain just takes your dining experience to the next level. I had a Tokyo mule and we decided to start with the Rock Shrimp, that is their version of the popular dish known as bang bang shrimp. The flavor is simply amazing. Then, we decided to order several sushi rolls to try as many as possible. We went with 3 specialty rolls (Happa, Mile Hight and AB Crispy Kalby) and 2 regular (Toro scallion and California). Also ordered a Albacore Sushi roll, which is 2 pieces of Tuna just sitting on rice. Everything was incredible and the fish tasted fresh. This is a must if you’re in Vegas .

Nice view, great location. I really wanted to like this restaurant, but the food wasn't great. The crispy tofu and rock shrimp had way too much sauce. The gyoza were just ok. However, the tuna pizza was REALLY good!!

Amazing sushi experience! The service was amazing, the food was even better. The selection of sushi and other foods exceeded our expectation. The food was a culinary experience through flavors, textures, and presentation. Highly recommend!

Got a table for 2 for our nice dinner while in Vegas to celebrate our anniversary. Staff was super kind and genuinely helpful and sweet! The new zealand salmon sashimi was the absolute best thing I’ve ever put in my mouth… All of the food was just great but that salmon.. I don’t think I’ll ever taste anything like it again! Our server offered to take pictures of us outside even though we were inside and I thought that was the sweetest! Great drinks too!

Great Japanese restaurant inside the Bellagio by Chef Akira Black. Only opens for dinner and the restaurant is usually very busy and would recommend making reservations. Been here plenty of times and food is always consistent, service is great, and food comes out fairly quickly. It's like a tapas style so they bring out food in order of when it's ready. Great experience, but one thing I was sad about was they didn't have Uni tonight.

This is the second time we’ve dined at this restaurant. It was just as excellent as the first time. We did go on a Saturday night at 7:30. They were super busy so there was quite a long wait for the food. The drinks came out quickly though. The quality of the seafood was super fresh. Polite and accommodating staff. Drinks were up to par. I highly recommend if you want sushi and you are at the Bellagio or near the area.

Best Japanese food ever! The sushi was delicious and the short ribs melted in my mouth. The 14oz ribeye was unbelievably delicious as well. The atmosphere was super chill and the view of the Bellagio fountain show was very pleasant. The service wasn't as great. The waitress never checked on us after we received our food to ask if it was good or to see if we needed anything else. She never asked or refilled our drinks. She was quick to bring us the check...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Yellowtail restaurant on the first floor of the Bellagio, and it was an unforgettable experience. If you're willing to spend around $125 per person, I highly recommend securing a seat outside to enjoy the mesmerizing fountains of the Bellagio. The service was truly excellent, with attentive staff who made the evening even more enjoyable. As for the menu, it mainly features sushi and sashimi, with some enticing hot dishes from the grill, delivered excellent taste. I must say, the taste was impeccable. We indulged in a sushi pizza, salmon carpaccio, protein roll, and smoked eel dragon roll, and every dish exceeded our expectations. Yellowtail also boasts an impressive selection of martinis and a wide variety of sake, which added to the overall enjoyment of the meal. While it's true that Yellowtail is on the pricey side, the portion sizes are generous, ensuring you won't leave hungry. For a special dining experience with exceptional flavors and a front-row seat to the Bellagio fountains, Yellowtail is the place to be.

Always enjoy spending at least one night during my Las Vegas vacation at Yellowtail. Some of the best, most flavourful sushi on the strip. The ambiance is wonderful and the view of Bellagio’s fountain is second to none. It’s nice to know that as things change in Vegas, some of the better things stay the same!

Yellowtail Japanese Restaurant impressed us from the moment we walked in. The reservation process was smooth, and we were promptly seated. The service was exceptional – our server's recommendations were spot-on, guiding us through the menu with expertise. The Crispy Kalbi Roll stole the show, a perfect blend of flavors and textures. The Back Tuna Pizza, Rock Shrimp, and Saba Nigiri followed suit, each dish showcasing the restaurant's commitment to quality and innovation.

We loved this place so much we went back another night! I ordered a Japanese Manhattan to start which was incredibly delicious! To share, we started with Tuna Tataki which practically melted in your mouth. Then we ordered Specialty rolls: Protein, Mile High and Angry Salmon. The second night we made sure to try their braised Wagyu Beef Short Ribs... to tell you I've never had anything SO good before is an understatement! Even though it is a bit pricey, you will not be disapointed with the food!

We always seem to make our way to Yellowtail when we're in Vegas, no matter where we're staying. It has a great vibe, you might get lucky to sit on the patio and watch the fountains, the food is so good, and the staff seems to go out of their way to deliver incredible service. On my most recent visit, they didn't have a bottle of wine I requested so they went to another restaurant in the Bellagio to get it. The Protein Roll, Mile High Roll, and Toro is amazing, but honestly, we've never had anything that wasn't good at Yellowtail. Enjoy!

Definitely high quality fish! The tuna pizza was delicious, the sushi sashimi was good just not so much flavor on the sake salmon the eel was better flavored . The mile high toll was delicious! Very high prices but worth it super flavored and fresh! The pure potato side was creamy and delicious. The drinks was also delicious my favorite was the dragon . I would have tried more food but I didn’t have time today . Still would recommend this place !

Incredible meal and service. We ordered a number of different plates which are best shared. There was a great flow to the meal service and each dish was excellent. This is our favorite restaurant for sushi in Las Vegas and look forward to returning in the future.

Stunning view with incredibly delicious food. If you can afford it, then this place is a must. We had the Omakase, which turned out to be a good call. Delightful experience. Thank you.

Excellent experience! The short ribs were out of this world! Definitely the kind of A+ food you want and expect from this kind of restaurant.

Nice spot to enjoy Asian cuisine including sushi. Not the greatest but certainly good. Prices are reasonable for a restaurant in a 5 star hotel. Service was outstanding.

I recently dined at this wonderful restaurant and I must say, the food was absolutely incredible. Every dish I tried was a delight to the taste buds. The standout for me was the shishito peppers. They were cooked to perfection and packed with flavor. They were definitely a highlight of the meal. Another dish that left a lasting impression was the mile high roll. It was incredibly fresh and had a clean taste that was simply delightful. The combination of flavors and textures in this roll was spot on. One thing to note is that if you're not a fan of truffle oil, like myself, the pizza isn't for you. But my husband loved it and said it exceeded the reviews. If you're willing to spend a little extra, I highly recommend sitting on the patio. The ambiance is truly amazing, and the fountains add a touch of magic to the dining experience. It was one of my all-time favorite dinners ever. The combination of the fantastic food and the beautiful setting made for an unforgettable evening.

I'm really surprised by all the mixed reviews. I thought this place was great! The angry yellowtail sashimi with a gluten-free blood orange sauce was fresh and light. The Toro-scallion roll... pretty good, too. I almost ordered another one. Not a big fan of the shooters, eeek, but my husband thoroughly enjoyed, or he enjoyed me trying to drink it (quail egg, sake, and uni) 😁🤣 but, the oyster trio made up for it. It was all well plated and presented, and the atmosphere was a low-key, relaxed, trendy vibe. We were not rushed, and the service was perfect. Thanks, Justin!

Overall a great place. Food was good. And service was close behind. I didn't give a full 5 stars as service was a bit slow and not quite up to the standards of price vs service. At this level I expect that dirty dishes are cleared between courses, epically when being served the 7 course meal.

I’ve been to yellowtail a few times. The food is always generally good. It’s an upscale restaurant so make sure you dress up. Winter time it gets really cold, so I wouldn’t suggest sitting next to the fountain doors. People like to walk outside and you will feel the breeze from them opening the door. I cannot remember everything we ordered. A few rolls, a couple bottles of Sake and 4oz of Waygu. Waygu was over cooked first time, and we sent it back for another. Second time it was great as always, buttery and delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant for something higher end but not formal.

Amazing sushi and rolls!! THE BEST ROLL I’VE HAD IN USA!! Dessert tasted quite weird but it’s not extremely sweet and had some flavors. I went for dinner and was lucky enough to get an outside table wirh Bellagio fountain view. I ordered toro roll and sesame matcha cake. The roll came in a very small portion but I guessed it’s justifiable from the amazing view from the restaurant. Although, I think it was still too small. Toro literally melted in my mouth. A superb experience!! The matcha cake really tasted a bit weird, almost I tasted mild canabis in it. Maybe it came from smoke in the hotel? Not to throw bad suspect to the restaurant in anyway but it was just not very pleasant compared to what I paid for. Service was amazing. My server took great photos of me with the fountain show!

Been coming here for many years. Decided to keep this light. Food is always on point and the service is even better. Really can't go wrong coming here. Def on the high priced side but still worth it! Some dishes to def get: Tuna Pizza, Rock Shrimp, Ribeye, and Apple Harumaki dessert. A+++

Went here on Valentine’s Day with my boyfriend. We were offered a balcony table. I said yes despite the cold weather that day. It was cold but the view was just amazing! We originally asked for the omakase and were originally rejected as it was a busy night. But our server came back and told us the chef would do the omakase for us. It was absolutely delicious, each course was so good. I loved my experience here. While it’s not in my budget to go here often, I would go here again for a special occasion

One of my favorite restaurants to go to in Vegas. Everyone that loves beef should try the short ribs. They're so delicious, literally melt in your mouth. Love the waitstaff here. Very attentive. All the dishes we ordered were really tasty. Popping spicy crab rolls have always been my "fun" dish to eat.

Loved our experience out on the patio. We were well looked after and treated like royalty! The food was fresh, well presented and delicious! Finally, you can't beat the seating right next to the beautiful fountain show! Overall experience in one word: Amazing! Ms Fancy shall return! Google Reviewer 5 million + picture views

We were able to make a reservation the day of - upon arrival we were seated very quickly. This restaurant is all about sharing dishes so be prepared for fairly small portions. The waiter was very helpful in recommending dishes for our group. The quality of the food was great. It was a little bit expensive for what you get, but the atmosphere and service was worth it. If you get a seat close to the windows you can also see the Bellagio fountain show.

  • 5/5 Angie B. 1 year ago on Google
Wow! I don’t even know where to start! Absolutely amazing! The tuna pizza was excellent with the perfect amount of truffle! But I have to say that the Popping Spicy Crab roll was hands down the best! Literally pop rocks in the sushi that pops and crackles in your mouth! The perfect amount too! It was a great experience. The restaurant was packed solid! ++++ Worth every penny

Much better experience than I expected after reading some previous reviews. The food and drinks are excellent. I don't think that there's any question about that. I believe that most previous complaints were about customer service. It's possible that we just got lucky but our experience was incredible. Our Server was Yukiko (might be spelling that wrong) and she was amazing! By far the best service we've received in Las Vegas yet. We had a 9:45pm reservation however we were able to show up early, request outdoor seating for the water fountain show, and were seated by about 9:30pm. We will be going back again soon and most likely requesting to be sat in Yukiko's section.

Very fine quality sushi. Beautifully platted and decent size rolls with Vegas extra pricing. Salads were delicious and well priced. Friends were happy with their bar drinks, I had hot tea. We arrived 15 min earlier than our reservation and asked for outside seating so we could see the fountains, I would highly recommend doing this. All in all it was a nice experience, we dropped $300 for 3 people ordering 2 rolls, 2 salads, 1 hot shareable, 3 drinks and a tea with tip = Vegas $$$! Sorry no food pics this time.

This is a great place to have dinner if you are visiting Las Vegas. There were four of us and I recommend you get reservations. We had a sake picked our before we went and they were out of both of our picks so we had to keep looking. Loved what we got but it was pretty pricey. We shared several plates and really enjoyed everything. Fish was fresh and each had great presentation. Make sure you have a lot of time when you go they got busy and it was a lot of time in between sushi rolls. But use patience and enjoy the experience. They do have a view of the fountains but we weren’t seated where we could see it. I recommend that you give it a try but take extra money with you.

This was an exquisite food experience. I lived in nyc for 27 years and have had some amazing meals but this food was an experience I am happy I did not miss

  • 5/5 Larry B. 2 years ago on Google
We got the California roll (which is made with WHOLE king crab legs!), the Protein roll (delicious!), Japanese Yellowtail sashimi (melts in your mouth!) and the Apple Harumaki for dessert, which was very small, but very tasty. Service was a bit spotty, but not terrible. This is some of the best sushi I've ever had, and I very regularly visit various sushi outlets in Las Vegas. We were seated out front next to heavy foot traffic, but having no reservations and being immediately sat was nice, so we can't complain. Definitely a place to eat if you like quality fresh sushi. Forget about the complaints you see about the prices. You're at the Bellagio on the Las Vegas Strip, not a local fast food restaurant!
