I
cannot
recommend
this
tour
enough!
We
booked
through
Tripadvisor
but
there
are
a
few
different
ways
of
booking
this
tour.
Due
to
traffic
and
some
difficulty
getting
an
uber
in
time,
we
arrived
about
5
minutes
late
and
I
will
say
that
there
was
a
bit
of
confusion
in
trying
to
find
a
way
to
notify
the
tour
operators.
Thankfully
they
called
us
about
2
minutes
before
the
tour
was
to
begin
and
told
us
there
is
a
10
minute
grace
period.
When
we
got
there,
we
were
quickly
taken
for
a
helmet
fitting/selection
and
offered
to
upgrade
to
the
Slingshot
for
$100
more
which
my
entire
group
did.
This
upgrade
and
the
$10
helmet
rental
were
paid
on-site,
so
if
you
choose
to
do
this,
be
ready
with
a
form
of
payment.
They
said
there
was
a
helmet
law,
but
oddly
the
operators
didn't
wear
a
helmet
in
their
slingshots
so
I'm
not
entirely
sure
what
that
was
about.
They
also
recommended
a
full
or
partial
face
covering
for
those
with
contact
lenses.
I
chose
the
partial
face
with
a
visor
that
could
move
up
and
down,
but
i
found
the
tint
on
the
visor
to
be
annoying
as
it
changed
the
color
of
the
landscape
which
i
was
specifically
taking
this
tour
to
see.
I
ended
up
having
the
visor
up
for
almost
the
entire
time
which
was
not
great
with
the
65mph+
wind.
I
recommend
just
getting
the
visorless
helmet
if
you
wear
contacts
and
you're
wearing
sufficient
sunglasses.
We
got
a
quick
tutorial
on
how
to
operate
the
slingshots
and
then
we
were
off.
To
note
-
this
tour
does
not
take
you
right
next
to
the
red
rocks.
It
does
not
take
you
on
the
fee-to-enter
scenic
loop
drive
or
to
the
Calico
viewing
areas
or
anything
like
that.
We
stopped
at
the
sign
for
the
entrance
to
Red
Rock
Canyon
and
took
photos.
The
guides
took
the
photos
for
us
using
our
own
phones
which
was
very
convenient.
Then
we
continued
PAST
the
entrance
to
the
visitor
center
and
scenic
drive
for
Red
Rock
Canyon
and
to
another
parking
area
where
the
red
rocks
were
visible.
Again,
they
posed
us
with
the
red
rocks
in
the
background,
inside
(and
on
top
of)
the
slingshots,
and
so
on.
After
this
stop,
we
drove
down
NV-159
and
stopped
off
at
Blue
Diamond
for
a
restroom
and
refreshment
break.
At
each
stop,
the
tour
guides
gave
us
interesting
facts
and
information
about
the
area
and
were
incredibly
friendly
and
personable.
After
this
break,
we
took
a
rather
long
drive
back
to
the
south
end
of
the
strip
to
stop
by
the
Welcome
to
Fabulous
Las
Vegas
sign.
I
will
say,
this
was
the
more
rushed
stop
due
to
how
busy
it
is
and
the
parking
situation.
We
parked
all
of
the
slingshots
in
a
bus
spot
and
had
to
really
make
the
most
out
of
the
short
time
we
were
there.
But
even
then,
the
guides
used
our
own
phones
to
take
pictures
and
had
a
few
creative
poses
for
our
group
of
5.
We
then
drove
back
up
the
strip
to
finish
where
we
started.
We
were
flexible
on
the
time
and
I
recommend
you
be
as
well.
The
tour
was
scheduled
from
2pm
-
5pm,
but
we
only
got
to
the
Vegas
sign
at
5pm.
We
finished
up
right
around
5:50.
Our
dinner
reservation
was
for
7:30
so
we
were
perfectly
fine
with
the
delay
and
since
everybody
was
kind
of
flexible,
it
really
made
for
a
relaxed
and
not-rushed
tour.
Traffic
is
unpredictable
and
the
traffic
coming
back
from
the
canyon
and
then
especially
down
the
strip
after
the
Vegas
sign
was
really
what
slowed
us
down.
Just
don't
plan
for
dinner
at
6pm
and
you'll
be
fine.
To
summarize,
if
you're
looking
for
a
tour
in
the
fee-to-enter
part
of
Red
Rock
Canyon
that
includes
hiking
and
trails,
this
is
not
the
tour
for
you.
If
you
want
to
take
a
fun
and
casual
drive/ride
through
the
desert
in
a
very
unique
vehicle,
and
still
see
the
red
rocks,
the
surrounding
mountains,
wild
flowers,
a
small
desert
town,
and
still
get
your
Vegas
sign
photo
op
in
(as
well
as
an
open
air
drive
down
the
strip
in
the
golden
afternoon),
this
tour
is
perfect.
I
uploaded
a
map
in
my
photos
from
this
to
show
you
the
path
we
took
and
the
places
we
stopped
to
give
you
an
idea
of
what
to
expect
on
this
tour.
