One
would
think
they
were
transported
to
somewhere
in
the
Midwest.
I
have
lived
in
Vegas
for
40
years
and
never
experienced
this
much
natural
greenery
here.
In
one
of
the
hottest
months
of
the
year,
the
is
a
river
of
water
rushing
to
Lake
Mead.
Quite
an
anomaly
to
see
this
much
water
in
the
middle
of
a
region
so
desperate
for
rain.
Once
there,
it
is
a
good
idea
to
study
the
map
well.
Traveling
on
the
extensive
trail
system
it
is
easy
to
get
turned
around
and
lost.
It
would
take
a
few
hours
to
see
all
there
is
without
traveling
up
the
wash.
One
sign
says
no
bikes
or
dogs,
but
further
in
there
is
a
sign
stating
you
must
walk
your
bike
over
the
bridge.
Since
the
trails
are
not
that
wide,
a
bike
could
be
hard
to
use
with
a
few
people
in
the
way.
There
are
a
lot
of
critters,
so
I
guess
dogs
could
disrupt
their
habitat.
It
is
a
must
for
parents
to
let
their
children,
especially
if
born
in
Vegas,
to
see
that
the
world
is
not
all
brown
and
dry.
We
only
spent
a
couple
of
hours
and
traveled
less
than
half
of
the
trails
and
missed
going
through
the
museum.
It
would
be
at
least
1/2
day
to
see
most
of
what
the
park
has
to
offer.
It
is
very
well
maintained
without
the
graffiti
and
destruction
seen
in
many
trails.
If
visiting
in
the
summer
bring
water.
The
river
is
not
potable.
