I stayed here right before the pandemic with a group of people. I liked the decor and the updates, loved the furniture in our room, like I would put some of it in my house. The check in desk/bar was lovely and the courtyard was very different. They also have free mini golf which was super cute. I had to call for a handful of reasons multiple times leading up to our stay, and half the time it was rather difficult to get a hold of someone. The other times the encounters were lovely. Everyone in person was great, and I was SO HAPPY they had a giant water container filled with lemon water for everyone. The other bonus was coffee in the morning which was also free. The downsides I had were how thin the walls were. Our room was facing the building next door, and whenever someone walked by and made the slightest noise we could hear it. You can also hear the fire shooting bug sculpture that plays music at the Container Park a few blocks away. They also have AC AND heat, but not both options at the same time. Our room got very hot even when the heat was off (in January), and the only way to cook the room down was to open the window (with screens) but that made the noise so much worse. Friends who's room overlooked the courtyard had the same noise issues, but add in the courtyard area noise where people were hanging out and playing mini golf at all hours. I don't think I'd stay there again unless there was literally no other reasonably priced place, though I'd bring a fan or heater depending on the time of year, and a badass sound machine.

This is actually a motel, not a hotel. Room service does not change rooms daily, they clean after your third day stay. This is something they should communicate upfront. The room does not include a microwave, refrigerator, dresser and also has minimal closet space. This was a bit frustrating because my guest and I were there for 4 days. We could only order what we could eat because nothing could be stored or warmed up later. And, we had to keep all of our belongings in the suitcase because there is literally minimal closet space. On our first day there, we asked for blankets. The front desk person literally asked to come to our room to confirm?! He was kindly informed that he would have to take our word for it. I have never experienced that before. Leslie -the front desk/bartender- was very accommodating. There is free coffee and water at the bar until 11a. The bar is open 24-hours. It is close to the Fremont area so we could walk to see the attractions, which was nice.

The stay was fine overall. The good things - relatively affordable on the day before New Years Eve. That was the main reason we stayed here - all the hotels on the strip were $400/night! Also, the front desk person Kate was awesome and friendly. I liked the mid-century modern design. We didn't do putt putt golf but it looked really fun. They had early check in as well as late check out, which we really appreciated. Just make sure to ask at check in for both. The pool wasn't heated and that was a bummer. There were a few negatives. We stayed in the separate building and it was very loud, I believe it's right behind a karaoke bar or casino or something. The heat was off when we arrived and it was really cold in our room and the windows were open. There was dirt or possibly black mold on the windowsill in the bathroom. The room did not look like the rooms in the photos on the website, I think because we were in that different building. I liked the kitschy green turf on the walls. I also liked that it was a few blocks away from the insanity of Fremont Street experience. I would only recommend it to easygoing people who are looking for affordability.

We had a pleasant experience here for the most part. The night shift staff was so amazing and welcoming! They always had a smile on no matter what time we came through the door, and we were always greeted. As for the morning shift it was the complete opposite. They truly just didn't seem happy to be there or care to help. The putt putt course was adorable! And the fireplace was gorgeous! We paid an outrageous amount for the room we stayed in, and it was very low quality. There were dirty floors when we entered. The white ceiling had some kind of dark colored substance splattered on it that wasn't properly cleaned off, and the blankets on the bed were white and had noticeable stains. We enjoyed most of our time out of the room, but the amount we paid did not match what we received. The only thing that would really bring me back is the night shift, gentleman. He made good drinks and was very helpful with questions about location things to do, and did I say he made good drinks?!

I did not have a great experience here. The room I was given isn’t listed in the photos online. Which is false advertisement. You should show all of the rooms not just the front of motel that “makes you look good” It was in its own individual building aside the hotel. The room was small, dirty and smelled like mildew. It felt like a prison cell. It was poorly maintained. There was a tiny back window which showed views of the new upgraded rooms that had modern windows and door. I had an old beat up window ac unit that was extremely loud. The mattress was worn out by he shower wall had splatters of who knows what all over it. What’s worse is after I got my room the hotel sent me a message asking if the room met my expectations which I stated there was concern with a heavy smell of mildew and to my surprise there was no follow up on my concern I expected to get what was shown prior to booking. I will never stay here again. I have had better experiences at a motel 6. Completely overpriced and dissatisfied. If I could get my money back I would. This place is trash. They have a pool across the street for use which looks like a beaten down apartment complex. The inside of that hotel smells like sewage and waste. If I was able to get my money back I would have stayed elsewhere. This was the biggest downfall of my trip.

A decent hotel for the money and location. Smelled like stale cigarettes, so I put a few fresheners in the room during my stay. Sheets and towels were clean and so was everything else. A few stray long hairs in the bathroom, but that's pretty common in any hotel anywhere. The air filter was adequately clean for a hotel room. No dust caked on it. The door to the room does not have weather stripping around the edges, so some heat, light and a lot of sound come through. Staff was very friendly. Parking was free and I had no issues with it or with payment for the room. The AC worked perfectly and it was plenty cold for it being 105 degrees outside. There's no actual thermostat, but there are settings for the air circulation fan. Crack the window to adjust the temperature if needed. Overall, you'll still get what the room stay is worth.

Overall a pleasant experience. I’d stay again. Located off the Main Street. First impression was questionable as entire complex is contained, and parking across the street in public parking. Homeless around, but I see no problem. Once inside it’s quite nice. A 24 hour bar and lounge, mini golf right outside my room in the courtyard. Big fire pit in center. Exercise room. I’d bring my children and they’d have fun. Quiet and casual on a Sunday night :) Price is right :) 57$ 👍🏼 I must edit my original review one day later to update my thoughts concerning parking. Because of the parking and homeless situation I will not stay here again. After I checked out and walked to my truck. I arrived to find starches and scrapes on rear side window where someone has tried to gain entry. Thankfully they did not, but for me not worth the risk. Nice people there. I mean them no ill will. Parking is not their responsibility, and as such, not an option for me. Also, day 4 after check out and still waiting on 100$ hold on card to disappear 🤷‍♂️ UPDATED ON DAY 8 after checking out. Was told 3-7 days for deposit to be returned… on day seven I contacted and new information is that in the case of debit card use… It could be up to 30 days… Is what it is… Inconvenient 🤷‍♂️

I always stay at the Downtowner when I go to Vegas! I’ve stayed there many times now. The price is the most attractive feature. I also love the beds, just so supportive and comfortable, and I enjoy the nice fun clean rooms as well! The unique mini-golf course right outside the door is fun, I always get in a round or two when I stay there. And you can’t beat the super clean and nice pool for a dip to cool off (nice place to lounge as well, it’s super quiet there)! The free parking is easy and very convenient too! The staff helpful and friendly so that’s a plus as well.

Really great price! Rooms are clean, but walls are pretty thin so you can hear people if they talk loudly; I can't really complain since it's cheap. The staff was nice enough to let us keep our bags stored in their closet since we checked out early and our flight wasn't until late at night. Thanks to them could explore Las Vegas more. Also I love how we can just text message the front desk instead of having to call. They quickly replied to any of our concerns.

Amazing hotel. The room is so modern and stylish. 24 hour bar at entrance which was nice. Didn’t have any issues with staff they message you throughout your time there if you need anything. The only thing I would suggest is the air conditioning in room only had an option for fan and it would get a little warm at times. We opened the door since it was really good weather outside. I loved the setting in room where has greenish room perfect to take pictures. Overall great experience definitely would come again.

Pros: Very friendly, assuring, and helpful staff Nice, cool room Comfy bed Cool decor Close, free parking Very roomy Out of the way of the downtown craziness Good atmosphere Cool bar (didn't go, but it looked cool) Would return! Cons: Sulfer smell Pot smoke outside Thin walls, but not bad with TV on. Dirty floor Outlet by door connected to lamp that doesn't unplug, so cannot use if you want light off Old tile in shower could use replaced or grout super scrubbed The neighborhood doesn't give the safest vibe, but that may be most of Vegas (people stumbling around impaired)

We had an excellent stay! The staff was super friendly and accommodating. A woman working the front desk was exceptionally helpful and extra sweet with us. She took extra time to help us, offer recommendations, and made us feel like family. So grateful for the extra kindness she brought into our world. We'll definitely stay again next time we're passing through :)

I have feedback to give: I called the front desk and spoke with a woman and informed them of the TV not working, and they never came to fix it. So for the 2 nights I was there, we didn't even get to enjoy the TV service, which was unfortunate. I had also called about the toilet not flushing and spoke with a woman and we waited for about 30 min. I had to call again and this time spoke with a male and he said he will check on it. Soon after, the maintenance did come up and help with the toilet. We waited a good 40 min for the toilet to get repaired. Please make sure that the communication to maintenance is being given so that the guests like myself can have pleasant stay, not one of uncomfortable or inconvenience. Besides that, I gave 2 stars for the convenience of the location. Also, one of the ladies was not allowing me to use Google Pay as an option for verification purposes, but when I did the self check out, I was able to use it. Also, when I extended my night, the morning shift lady gave me no issue with using my tap card... I'm not sure which is correct or not, but please communicate with the workers so incorrect information isn't being given to the guest's and confusing them... For check in, the same lady gave some a hard time with checking in because the name didn't match so I had to call the third party I booked the reservation with and speak with them which took about 30 min... so overall, the experience was not too pleasant... for such a pretty place and cool amenities, I guess I had high expectations. I was extremely disappointed.

I will list all my raves about this place. I have high standards on mattresses, so that is the only thing I wish was better. It's a 3.8 out of 5 in hotel beds. What we noticed there are No bugs, no trash and it is very clean and regulated. They explain everything and are patient even when there's a language barrier. They are friendly 24/7 at Check in, Bar and Snacks are always available. The pool is across the street and also where you smoke. This is a Non Smoking establishment. There is mini- golf in the covered but open courtyard. No Fridge or Microwave but guess what they have a snack bar and will add the hot water for you. They also have complimentary cold water, where they are also friendly. Can't wait to see if they can maintain our standards all week.😉

Still have one more night but so far this stay has been exceptional. The only reason for 4 stars regarding the location are for the obvious reasons of the Downtown area. That being said, the newly painted walls have given it a fresh feel to the area and it is much cleaner than most would think. All in all, very good for the price an will be booking again.

Came across this spot when I needed a last minute place to stay and almost every single hotel was sold out. Reasonable price, great location in downtown and the staff was friendly and helpful. They do have a mini golf course right in the courtyard where they play music until 10pm so it won’t be completely quiet in your room during the day.

Really loved this place! Stayed here for my first trip to Vegas but was trying to stay on a pretty tight budget so I found the Downtowner. I was so surprised to find out just how good of deal this was! The rooms are very comfortable and everyone at the front desk is super helpful and kind! It’s tucked away in a pretty quiet part of downtown so it’s great if you’re coming back late and want to crash after a long day. Highly recommend staying here if you’re looking to save money for the other great things this city has to offer.

We stayed at the downtowner during our recent stay in Las Vegas, and had such a pleasant stay! Every single staff member we encountered was so kind and friendly. They made our stay such a great experience. The parking is right across the street from the hotel, in a well-lit parking lot. The Fremont street experience and container park are both a short walk away. The common area is so cute with tables, seating, mini golf, and misters to keep you cool. Our bed was comfortable and our room was clean. Honestly, the best part about this hotel was the staff. They totally made us feel welcomed and comfortable. We will definitely be staying here on our next visit.

I Really don't know why some people had some bad experiences but with the great price they offer you can't get better than this. My experience was amazing with this hotel. The staff is amazing very friendly and they gave us whatever we needed and it was only 13 minutes away from the strip with Car. They offer a free parking and also the rooms were very clean. I didn't experience any inconvenience and everything was great. Loved this place🔥

Quaint Motel and inside was like a mid century modern look. Located outside of downtown hidden on 8th St. They had a bar at entrance but we don't drink but pretty sure a Virginia Shirley Temple would of been made for us. NO SMOKING.and strict COVID protocol, check in and out. Very kind hospitality to all! A fun place for family with the inside Motel put put golf design Thank you!❤

I am very happy with this hotel. I have never stayed in a hotel in Las Vegas and I was apprehensive. I always felt like I wouldn't enjoy it as I would a casino. But this place was great and they had great customer service. Checking in was easy. I liked how the front receptionist was also your bartender and the bar was open 24 hours. They had a good variety of snacks as well. Fremont Street was a block away so that was awesome. I also liked how you could text the front desk for help. This place also included parking across the street which was convenient. They even had a miniature golf course. The rooms were comfortable and nicely remodeled. Yes, it's an older place but I loved the staff and they really did a good job of running the place.

Not the cleanest of rooms as shown in the pictures and definitely smelt strongly of smoke when I checked in, despite the clear warnings and hotels' $100 charge if guests do smoke in the room. The bed and pillows were clean and comfortable. The bathroom was well-stocked with amenities, towels and the TV worked fine. No USB outlets and also lack of sockets throughout room. The blind over the front window to the main courtyard does not block the view either out or in to the room - Which means that anyone who walks past the window, could see in if they wanted to. Not very private. New proper blinds should be installed ASAP. The 6-hole crazy golf course outside was fun and free. I didn't use the Pool across the street, but it also looked decent. The Hotel itself and surrounding area does get very load throughout the day with music, other guests and other noises. Even louder at night at times as other guests have mentioned. The Fremont area is lively and interesting. The staff were curt and not the friendliest, but were helpful and polite. Leslie and the other lady at the front desk kindly let me store bags at around 5am until I was allowed to check in a little early at around 1pm - Thank you again to the team for arranging this as I was shattered after a 40+ hour trip from Chicago. All in-all, a decent stay for the price paid on a Saturday night. As the adage goes - You get what you pay for!

I stayed at the Downtowner Boutique Hotel for 2 nights and had a pleasant stay. The room was clean, and I slept well both nights. I kept in contact with Guest Services through text, and they were quick to reply and answer all of my questions. I had requested some tissue and they were very quick to bring it up to my room. Thank you to Sky for helping me check in and to Guest Services for their quick response. I would recommend this place to anyone as it is really close to Fremont Street and staff was friendly and helpful. :)

Awesome staff at front desk. Very clean room- not cluttered with furniture one doesn’t need. Amazing 24/7 bar at front desk.Very safe. Amazingly near Fremont Experience- lots of culture in Downtown Vegas- old Vegas. Trendy and hip but cool and very enjoyable area. A+++ nothing but the best all around.

Great little boutique hotel! Nice, eclectic decorations. The hotel is older but very clean. The staff is amazing! Enforced quiet time from 10pm - 7am is nice & they have security in case your neighbors get too rowdy. Fremont street is within walking distance! Free parking across the street. I will stay there again!

Honest review.. The place is older, to me I don't mind I love the charm. Our room was very clean and the beds were comfy. The decor is so cute and well thought out. The staff was the best I've encountered in hotels. This is a lower budget hotel so don't expect all the fancy things of a higher end one. But I loved it. I've stayed in many hotels similar and this one was by far the best for the price. Our entire stay was great. And very short distance from Fremount. would 100% stay here again and even play Putt Putt next time 😂 thank you for making our stay great! Shout out to Leslie for also being awesome !

This was our first time to Vegas, and this was the best hotel we could have chosen. It was clean, quiet, and so close to the action of Fremont Street. The rooms were simple, but we didn’t spend much time in them anyways. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. The pool was clean and there were plenty of chairs to lay back in and soak up the sun. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Check-in was super simple, and since they have someone at the front counter had someone 24/7, check-out was hassle free while catching our early morning flight. I regret that we didn’t have any time to play mini golf, but I look forward to it for next time!

So this place is what it is. An old property ran by great people that are trying to bring it back. It is not a luxury hotel but a great clean place to stay and save a little money. Staff 10 out of 10, friendly, fun and really act like they care about making sure your stay is pleasant. Bar was fun and good drinks at a fair price. Mini golf was too much fun! Room was small but comfortable. Parking was right across the street. We did not use the pool but it looked refreshing and clean. Things that keep it from a 5 star review. Bed was not the best, a bit lumpy. It is a bit of a walk to get to it from Freemont and it can be a bit of a scary walk but we had zero troubles. A/C was a bit spotty, too hot then too cold. A second chair in the room would have been nice too. Overall a very pleasant stay and I am going to tell my friends to give it a try. Don't expect fancy and new but it is clean and friendly, give it a try if you don't mind the walk.

The room was cute, clean, and comfortable. I wish I'd brought slippers or flip-flops since there is no carpet or door mat, and we tracked in a little sand/dirt. They only do room service on the third day unless requested. They do offer towels and soaps on request. I thought this was a nice change since I can make my own bed, don't love people entering my space unnecessarily, and in four days, we didn't make much of a mess at all. Plus, it saves money on the room overall. Since I came in the fall, Temps in the day were in the 70's and down to the 50/40's at night. Our room had sun exposure, so it was a bit toasty. The rooms don't have individual temp control, so only the heater could run when the room was already around 80... we had to sleep with the window open, which was awkward when other patrons were chatting outside our room. I brought ear plugs but didn't use them. The location was phenomenal, near Freemont Street experience, the Container Park, and a variety of other entertainment. The parking was good. I got a warning for pulling through in an empty lot. "Backing into space." That was irritating. So the lot isn't private, but the hotel gives you a permit for complimentary parking. The check-in experience was a bit frustrating to me. I waited in line for the desk, she tapped around on the computer, then sent me to a kiosk. Then I waited in line again for the desk. One of those steps or lines should have been eliminated. I'd been driving all day and needed to get settled. Once I got back to the desk, she rattled off the rules in a cute and memorable way. Mini golf was a blast. The staff was great for all my needs over my stay. The security was good. There were a lot of cameras in common areas, which was a comfort to me. We didn't use the gym or pool.

This hotel was great! We actually stayed at the Golden Nugget for a few days before coming here and I wish we had stayed here instead. A very modern vibe, super clean, and friendly staff. I also felt super secure in here and there was not a smokey smell like I noticed almost every where else in Vegas. 10/10 highly recommend!

It is a clean, modernized, art deco stylized hotel, rooms are neat and uncluttered. No fridge, no microwave provided but the shower has outstanding water pressure and temperature control. It is located near Fremont st, and is within walking distance. It's located in a quiet area of town with little traffic. A nice little hotel. would definitely stay again. They also charge a $20.0 resort fee.

Recently stayed at this hotel. Looked just as expected. Didn't realize it had a 24 hour bar, so that was pretty neat. You can tell it's recently been updated, but it still smells a little stale. I should mention for others, the room I booked was not the room I received. I booked a single queen at floor level and stayed in a double queen on the second story. Should you book and want that, they stated you need to leave a comment. If you're not familiar with downtown Las Vegas, do your research before booking here. Its also my.understanding that I was also charged for utilization of the gym/golf/pool but didn't even have the opportunity to use those things as I flew in late, spent a day at a funeral, and then flew out early the next day.

Service was absolutely fantastic!! Especially a woman named Dee, she was funny, helpful, extremely friendly, and went above and beyond in helping us get checked in and settled. We would definitely stay again! If there was one thing we had for a complaint would be the chilly temperature in the rooms, we couldn't find a thermostat to change it.

  • 3/5 Samantha C. 7 months ago on Google
The area was safe and well lite. Parking was really small and shared with public so we had to pay in to park in the garage, it was cheap so no biggie. The common areas of the hotel were nice and clean. The room could have been cleaner. Shower was clean, we didn't use it, but it was clean. Toilet was clean, there was a weird burn mark on the floor, but again over all clean. My bed had stains on the sheets, my friend's was fine though. The floor was sticky but it may have just been a sticky cleaner. Some of the outlets didn't work and we had no control over the temperature of the room, just a weird diel on the wall for the fan. The receiver vent for the air was pretty dirty though. Over all for 100$ and right next to both container park and Fremont it could be much worse.

I'll preface by saying I'm not a bourgeoisie and when I visit my hometown of Las Vegas I often just look for the most comfortable and not over expensive bed/room necessary, since I'm usually busy visiting etc that I'm just going to sleep and shower there. Spent almost 20 years in hospitality, so I also understand Vegas is about inflated prices. All that said, this was an underwhelming stay. First off, all but one member of the staff I encountered were very polite and professional. So no discredit to the employees working; this low score is about the room, it being priced within range of other, better, hotels/motels but essentially just slapping a coat of oddly colored paint with Etsy decorations (and a TV with picture quality circa 1995) over what I know for a fact used to be a dilapidated drug den not long ago. Truly the bare minimum was done to renovate, furnish, clean and renew/upkeep this place. The bed was uncomfortable/cheap and clearly not cleaned adequately, room smelled of must, the furniture embarrassingly worn in, incredibly loud from neighboring clubs, shower grout showing a lack of deep cleaning being present and (worst of all) that was reduced heavily reinforced by the 'shag rug' of an air filter visible (most pictured). Despite it being the cheapest option found I will just gladly spend the extra money for better accommodations next time as the issue isn't how much is spent but what one gets for what is spent.

The room was clean and the staff very friendly even during two power outages and quite a bit of standing water from heavy thunderstorms. Walking distance to several attractions as well as some decent restaurants. The breezeways could use some updating but other than that, a great place to stay for such a reasonable price.

My family loves the mini golf and the pool. We also like the location right off of Fremont St, because that's where we go in Las Vegas. The room was clean and comfortable. Staff of friendly and helpful. The only complaint is that we checked in as a family of 4, and we only received 3 towels.

Overall had an amazing experience at this hotel. I rated the room a 4 out of 5 due to the random egg smell that happened every once in awhile during my stay, but other than that it was such a fun and positive experience. The staff was great and it has a cool atmosphere, definitely recommend.

When I arrived, I was charged beyond the initial reservation rate of $667 plus daily tourism fee. After entering the reserved room, another couple checking in walked in. It was frightening. I went back down to request another room and the room was dirty and the bed had linens had blood on them. I was checked into another room and still disappointed. The furniture was damaged. There was no where to hang or place clothes. The room needed a full length mirror and curtains. Service was not included, even though I overpaid $90 from the initial reservation plus $135.60 for daily fees that were not listed on the initial reservation.

Overall the place was very clean, the staff was very nice and inviting, and it was quiet and peaceful, close to downtown, but without the noise. I would most likely change the check in process to eliminate the back and forth between the front desk and the kiosk, but Leslie was very personable and positive. I would stay there again for the great price.

My favorite part of staying was the staff, especially Lesli, everyone was very nice and friendly. Biggest letdown was the complete lack of housekeeping. Even when we asked at the desk for housekeeping, we never once received housekeeping. Ran out of toilet paper, couldn’t use our towels because they were gross and wet, trash piled up quickly because there was only one small can. The room smelled mildewy which was not surprising given that our towels stayed wet even when we hung them to dry. Poor ventilation or something like that, I guess. I was also bummed that there wasn’t a set of drawers for storing clothes or a trash can for the bathroom. It was okay, definitely not the best but I was in town for work and just needed a place to sleep after the long days on site. Probably won’t come back next time I’m in town for work but the price was alright.

This hotel is very budget friendly yet you get a good room for the price. Check in was a breeze. Shak the overnight staff is amazing he worked to resolve every issue and answer every question I had. I highly recommend staying at this hotel it is also around a lot of hot spots in Vegas.

I loved the golf course, it's in an older part of town and the walls are actually made of brick. This was discovered after I tripped in the bathroom. Privacy is possible here. The rooms are immaculate. The bar is well stocked and experienced. There are ground rules, but if you behave and act calmly, you shall have a wonderful time. Here is the room rented for my 21st birthday. I was wearing socks and standing on the toilet, that's why I tripped.

One of the few places that I book often when I’m doing a stay-cation in Las Vegas. Especially on Fremont St. Lol. This place is really close to everything on Fremont Street. Great walking distance. The staff are always great. I’ve never had any problems with the staff. Definitely like the miniature golf and the bar feature. Especially right at the hotel you’re staying at. Best advice for tourist. You’re visiting Las Vegas, and you’re on Fremont Street. So just enjoy your time here and at this hotel. Don’t let small things bother you. you’re in a big city with 2 million people every month. Just enjoy being here and definitely enjoy this hotel.

Such a great experience. Especially at the price. Clean, comfortable rooms. Welcoming atmosphere at the front desk/lobby area. Putt putt golf course in the atrium! Staff is excellent. Knowledgeable, helpful, friendly, and professional. Location is fantastic. Walking distance to Fremont and Fremont East. Highly recommend.

Not a fancy place. Had all the essentials. Good location, great price. Rooms were very clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. I will stay here again for sure.

I was so happy I came across this little gem when searching accommodations in Downtown Las Vegas. I hadn't been to the area in many years and had some questions that Dee answered so well, with humour, resourcefulness and understanding. She is a shining example of Las Vegas hospitality. Our room was great, the beds so comfortable with nice linens, all the staff so happy and friendly, which is a positive statement in itself, and the mini-putt is such a unique and fun addition to a super funky and unique hotel. The location is really convenient, being only one block from the Container Park and a few blocks from the Fremont Experience. Three stars is an appropriate rating only because some of the furniture might need some love, but the service and welcoming atmosphere is FIVE starts and then some. I'll definitely be back.

We weren't told about a $100 deposit. We asked where we could put money on a card & got a I don't know. Finally figured it out & tried to let them know for future reference. Just got a look. During check in someone else came up with a issue & got mostly silence. Told them the shower curtain didn't go all the way down so the bathroom flooded. Got told someone would take care of it right away & nothing ever happened. We could hear people in other rooms. Lots & lots of doors slamming. The bed slid around every time I touched it.

I have never stayed in a hotel as bad as like yours. Housekeeper did not clean the room and change the towels. I asked the reception to check the room every day but they did not. Room was cold and I asked extra blanket but they did not have. My colleague had to left early because of these terrible things. The lady at the reception told us that we have to be quiet after 10pm but some people were chatting in front of my room after 10pm and nobody from the staff did not warn them. I had to warn them!!!

Very cute place with a great staff. I had 2 issues during our stay, however. 1, there is a 3 step check in process which moves slowly (took me nearly an hour just to check in.) 2, there was no A/C in our room. It would have never occurred to me that climate control was something I would have to look for when booking a room.

Room was clean and the location was great. Check in was chaotic because rooms weren't ready. We were going to be charged for early check in yet it was an hour past check in time before our room was ready. Front desk staff was great and it wasn't their fault the room wasn't ready and they got swamped during this time. They handled it very well under the circumstances. We also didn't have a shower curtain and the HEAT was on when it was almost 80 out. Room was boiling hot. Should allow guest to control temperature. Even with all of this we would stay there again.

Staff is friendly, respectful, & made me feel welcome! Golf course is cool & music played daily was nice! Staff don't answer phone much so when I called it was hit or miss to catch someone. The rooms were nice, clean, only problem was the air conditioner didn't have any balance- it was either freezing when left on because no cycle off or stuffy if you turned air off. Hotel lobby/bar has a HUGE SEWAGE smelling problem that never went away. Otherwise I will definitely return for the price and location...

First time staying in any hotel on Fremont and I must say this hotel was pretty pleasant. The price was good and was near the Fremont Experience, lots of restaurants, bars and entertainment walking distance from this. The room was pretty much clean and confortable but checking in was a bit strange because it was a bar so I was confused as to where do I check in. The lady working there said that was check-in. I guess next time I might check in and order a drink at the same time. But overall I was happy with this hotel.

You get what you pay for- it’s a good location, it’s cheap, perfect for Vegas on a budget. However, the room slightly smelled, the AC dripped the whole time even after repaired, and room service didn’t come all week even though we were assured they would. Would stay here again if doing Vegas on a budget but if not, bear in mind that the pictures are outdated. Staff was helpful when required and we did have a great stay in Vegas!

My friend and I were looking for a stay as locals. I quickly found this place and with a quick price we got 2 rooms. I love the staff and the flamingos. Parking is a bit weird but Lesley helped me through everything. Will enjoyed amazing downtown pizza with us! What a great bunch. A very unique stay!

The area has definitely changed for the good! I was hesitant about making the reservation as I know Vegas pretty well. I was shocked at the changes and felt very comfortable being there. The rooms are pleasantly adequate and beds so comfy. As others have stated, the air conditioning system could really use an upgrade. The staff is amazing!!!!!

The majority (not all) but most of the lobby employees we have had any encounter with have been absolutely horrible. There are 8 people sitting at the bar with NO masks on.. not actively drinking.. and not all with a drink even in front of them. All speaking within their groups and the bartender. but the employee wants to yell at us for not wearing a mask simply walking through to exit.. is that not absolutely absurd? and then took the time to tell us that she noticed us earlier not wearing a mask when my entire group had masks on every time we walked through the building. Absolutely no customer service skills whatsoever.. The cleaning crew on the other hand. The two encounters I’ve had with them were wonderful. The two women were very sweet and resolved my room issues right away.

Staying at the Downtowner was a great experience - especially coming off camping in the Nevada desert. All staff was extremely polite and helpful. The room was exceptionally clean. Parking was convenient and easy, as was access to downtown. Not sure if we will be back in Las Vegas - but if we are we would love to stay here!

The visit and the room were enjoyable. Good super clean room, and cool mini golf decor thru out the . No microwave or coffee pot and no phone (there's 5 stars by itself) The only problem I had, and the reason for only 4 stars.....was the surprise $100 Security Deposit that I was confronted with at check in. A $100 Security Deposit that could not be paid in cash... Credit or Debit card only. So with a pocket full of cash and no way to put any on one of my cards, I had to call Booking.com to facilitate the use of someone else's credit card . Then at checkout, you get informed that after a checkout room inspection, the deposit money will be credited back to the account 3-7 business days later.

This place was so comfy fun and clean makes me want to visit Las Vegas just as a get away. I'm not into casinos and stuff but just chilling downtown and exploring the main street I think it's Jefferson (?) Where there's lots of novelty shops it's cool. Plus nice places to eat near by actually plenty . The mini golf was so fun too. Price was nice for me as well.

Made a reservation on a whim, needed some space and it was the cheapest. Didn't think it would be so nice but it truly is the best hotel/motel I've been to! The mini golf course is so cute, really cool bar, the process of checking in was extremely quick and easy. So glad I decided to book here!

The staff are helpful and friendly. The rooms are retro chic adorable and so clean and comfortable. Our AC went out and Dee was super quick to change our room with no hassle. Awesome staff! Wish the golf and pool were open later but otherwise it is an amazing find. Love this place and will definitely be back!

Stayed here for 2 days for PTD Day 1(awesome concert by the way). Cute little hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful. My one and only complaint is that the outlets, on both sides of the bed, just a little too far for my liking. I took my short cord with me thinking it would be fine. I’m the type to use my phone 24/7 except when I’m sleeping. I’m constantly reading, or watching movies/videos, studying and my phone drains pretty quickly and I always read before bed. Other than that, my stay was great. Plus they’re a 7 min walk from the Donut Bar.

Our trip was with our young kids we stayed for 1 week for soccer tournaments and to be honest at first my kids where freaked out and didn’t want to stay. I seen security going around often which made me feel safer and great thing there is only one entrance so random people don’t just come in. When my kids seen the mini golf they got super excited, it reminded them when grandpa played with them it brought back great memories. I liked how the rooms had hard wood floors carpet grosses me out. Pillows where nice and soft, bed was ok can’t complain. Had enough towels housekeeping were nice they provide clean towels when needed, but some downfalls was not having a AC good thing the weather was cool and we just opened a window. No microwave or Fridge which I’m guessing that why their prices are lower. Next time we will just plan better. Everyone in the front desk where wonderful great customer service!!!! I would stay again. Thanks

Anthony was awesome! Very helpful and super friendly at the bar. Super convenient hotel with an old Vegas vintage feel for sure! Adorable little bar upon check in with cool self service check in option! I married my best friend and we spent our first night as husband and wife here, best day ever! We played a game in the lobby and won free late check out! So cool!

Place was clean and the staff is friendly. This hotel is not for bougie people. For the price and location you get what you get, I'd definitely stay again. Walking distance to Freemont and tons of great restaurants. There are some rooms that open up directly to the street, which I did not get, I probably wouldn't want to get one of those. I was on the second floor overlooking the golf course, and had a great time.

This hotel was a good value, especially considering the location! The staff were friendly and helpful, especially considering my weird requests. (Can I have an extra chair for my room so my friends and I can play Dungeons & Dragons?) The room was clean—though I think all the astroturf in there and in the hallway held the smell of weed from other guests. But I was able to air that out in my own room with the air conditioner. I get why the hotel might have removed the door chain—it is Las Vegas, and I’m sure sometimes they have to get into people’s rooms. But as a woman traveling alone, I would have liked the extra security. Still, it turned out fine! I’d probably stay again for a quick trip visiting friends.

If I could give a 4.5 stars I would !! I’m somewhere between 4 and 5 stars. ha - This hotel is good enough (specially for what you pay) the staff is super friendly, specially this girl during the morning shift! Is a little loud during the night but it’s okay! The room was smelling a little bit like cigar but not too bad to not handle it! But in general we had a good experience here

Place is decent. Great location. Friendly staff. Convenient bar up front. They even changed my room last minute with no charge fee. Only two things I was a little disappointed in: the look of the room vs online pictures, and my room floor was pretty dirty. Maybe they forgot to sweep? Again place is decent and very convenient to Fremont Street. I would not mind staying there again. :)

Pros: Kind staff, accommodating, free coffee, free pool and putt putt. Nice little courtyard to hang with your friends, free parking and even a fitness center. Reasonable price. Relaxed atmosphere with very good walkability to Fremont and also a quick drive to the strip. Cons: Room pictures did not match room given, we booked with the discounted mobile rate and didn’t realize that would give me a lesser room that the one pictured (different bathroom and no decor). Room wasn’t the cleanest notably very dirty bathroom fan and I did find a spot of blood on my bathroom wall, bathroom floor had some wall paint dust on it. The worst part of my stay was the very little sound proofing in my room, I had a hard time sleeping here as I could constantly hear those in the room bedside me having loud intercourse at all hours…AC is also loud but thankful to have it. Loved the free parking but we did witness the aftermath of a smash and grab in the lot, not the hotels fault but just be aware not to leave anything in your vehicle. Overall, I will stay here again but I will make sure to upgrade my room when offered or book a higher room to begin with. I also hope that they would consider doing something to aid in the sound proofing in the rooms in 121 building as it is truly terrible.

Customer service was good. I think the guy who helped me was the best! At first it was slow but I think he just had a lot to do. As time went by he was more persistent and accommodating. The room had a bad smell, I think it's just the air in that area because parts of the hotel smelled like it too. The bed was comfy. The chair was beat up, maybe change those out soon! I'd stay here again. Cool vibes. Overall it was a nice stay.

Loved staying here! The staff is all super nice and helpful, especially Alexis. You can play mini golf in the main foyer which is super dope and a nice little spot to hang out. The walk downtown is less than a quarter mile so the location is absolutely banging.

Great location and cute, mid-century modern themed motel. Clean, nice rooms and a deal with the lot across the street for free parking. Putt-putt golf is fun if you have kids!

I've had terrible hotels in the past and I must say I was VERY pleased when we arrived. Front desk staff is very friendly and helpful! The area itself is relatively safe. I'm a 5'3" woman and I felt safe walking to my hotel room even at night. I'm thrilled about how close to Fremont Street we are! 5 minute walk to the old strip and a short 10 minute drive to Las Vegas Blvd! Our room was very clean upon inspecting the bed and floors. I would definitely stay here again, very reasonable price and quite a nice gem to find in LV!

For the price you can't beat this hotel. The shower and the bed was really nice. I think it's easily at a three-star level. It's within walking distance to all of the downtown hotels. I really like the putting course. I'm a good putter and it is really challenging. It's very well done. I would recommend this hotel.

  • 3/5 Kira S. 8 months ago on Google
Ok but not as nice as the pictures make it look. The location was convenient to Fremont Street. There's not a front desk. You just check in at the bar and the lady at the bar seemed too busy to help me. The room had some nice finishes but the smell was too distracting to care. When we walked into the room, it smelled super strong of sewer. It did improve a bit after running the shower. And the floors were not very clean. But the beds were pretty comfy!

Stayed in summer. Our room’s AC at the main building wasn’t working properly but thankful to staff for moving us to a room with working AC in the second building. Good water pressure in the shower. Bed dips in the middle tho and a lot of under areas (floors) are quite dirty. There’s free use of mini golf, pool, and bicycles. Parking available.

No frills room. Doesn't come with a fridge or microwave. But it was nice and clean. Super soft bed. Very Friendly staff. Not the best location, but it definitely wasn't the worst either. And at night they keep it locked so only people staying there can get access to the rooms. I felt purdy safe there. Good prices. I'd stay there again.

  • 1/5 Lauren W. 8 months ago on Google
The place looks nice in the pictures, but once you arrive you will notice the homeless camp across from the room. The sewage scent that is lingering throughout the establishment which is a major safety hazard. Myself and my husband had to take turns sleeping in our car because the scent was unbearable!

  • 2/5 Tami S. 7 months ago on Google
Still waiting for my deposit to be returned. Absolutely no reason why a "resort" fee should be charged. So incredibly far from anything resembling a Resort. All the exits were locked except for the one. Talk about a serious issue if a fire ever occurs. I was charged when I reserved the room and again at check-in. The room stunk. Yellow stains on the sheets, is located way farther from the strip than the details listed in the advertisement.

Great place to stay. Cute, safe, all of the necessary components for a room while saving money for other experiences in Vegas. Staff is fantastic and a lot of fun. The location seems like it could be dicey, and while sometimes uncomfortable due to house less folks or young street travelers, never was unsafe. Massive police presence. I enjoy helping to build the Fremont district back and that’s what this hotel is helping to do.

I stayed here for my wedding in October and one of the highlights of our trip was Dee at the front desk. She made us feel like family from our first interaction. She handled everything with speed and efficiency, all while smiling and cracking jokes with my family. She truly made it an unforgettable experience and we will DEFINITELY be going back just to see her. If you book this hotel you know what to expect room and location wise but the entire staff was/is amazing with Dee leading the charge. Thank you Dee.
