Got a booth during happy hour without reservations at the lounge area which was awesome. The atmosphere was very different from other steak houses and the hearing the history prior made the experience fun. The service was slow, but it was super busy and there was pretty much one girl on the floor so she definitely did her best. As for the food.. coming from Vancouver I didn’t think I’d enjoy the oysters but I was pleasantly surprise of how good they were.. we even ordered more after! The steak was delicious. It did not taste like they just slabbed a bunch of butter on it. We asked for a medium steak, but it was more medium rare which still ended up being fine. Oscar’s is a must try when visiting Fremont street. Next time I come I hope to dine at the dinner tables with the beautiful view of Fremont street.

Classic old school steakhouse! Service was good. Food was good too. The location of the restaurant right across from Fremont Experience was fun. The only negative was the prices were very high for what you got. Not a good value but fun anyway.

Really cool place with an awesome story. The movie casino has to do with Oscar and a couple of his clients. I highly recommend you watch the movie in addition to visiting this restaurant. The food was great. They serve quality steaks here, delicious. The service was quick and friendly. They are definitely worth a visit

Such a beautiful place with a great view. I have been wanting to come here for a long time and so glad we were able to get to Fremont. The meatballs were fantastic. French fries were delicious. Jason our server was great. Josh was also very attentive.

I had high hopes for this place as I’ve seen the reviews by Vegas locals. The restaurant has a beautiful view of Fremont street. We came on Dec 29 and the restaurant was quiet for a Friday evening before New Years. The food took a long time to come out, which for a premium steakhouse, is unimpressive. The Lobster Bisque was delicious, I will dream of it for a while. The Chopped Salad was good. The Prime Rib is massive, double the portion you would get anywhere else. Skip on the sides, they’re mediocre and not worth the price. Opt for a salad or appetizer instead with your entree. Check your bill at the end because we were double charged. The service honestly could have been better.

My husband and I visited for our anniversary. The reservation process was simple. We booked at least a month in advance. I believe you can just walk in. It may be crowded so you will likely be seated in the lounge area. The whole place is nice. Wherever you sit, I doubt you will be disappointed. The food was delicious. 😋 The steak was seasoned to perfection and very juicy. The atmosphere was a good chill vibe. I ♥ the ambiance. Our waiter was very informative and gave some great recommendations. We never received the anniversary dessert at the end of dinner. We don't like macaroons so it would have just been for show. No food wasted! We spent $230. It was over-all a great anniversary.

The service and the ambiance here were excellent! This was my first time ever trying a tomahawk steak, and it was a little bland, but cooked perfectly. Next time i order one, I'll try it with a sauce or topping of some kind. Of course, it was a ton of meat, that we took back to the hotel and ate later that night. The highlights were the king crab legs and the macaroni and cheese...superb. Drinks were strong, and the service, I can't say enough good things about. Thank you for having such a great dining team. Just a side note, they did not allow us to take in outside drinks, so finish your cocktails before you come in.

We were coming to Vegas for a wedding. The first venue wasn't accommodating for our group. So about 3 days before the wedding, I was calling around to find someplace to have the wedding dinner for 32 people. Not only did Shannon from Oscar's help us, she pulled out all the stops. Made recommendations for the group, set us up in the best tables with a view, and sent menu choices so the bride and groom could select their wedding dinner! It was very special. The staff was fabulous at service. Even the manager came out to make sure things were great. Would recommend this restaurant for any group event or just for two. We had a wedding cake delivered, they received it and cut and served it to our group. The food was amazing, prime rib or chicken with amazing sides, salad, soup, it was all great! Thank you for making their wedding dinner perfect!

It wasn’t the greatest start to an evening dinner here, since the greeting we received from the entrance desk was rather ‘grumpy’ and made us feel more of a hassle than welcome, but fortunately the rest of the experience was the polar opposite! The dining area is unique with a circular layout and not like anything I’ve seen before, but if you’re lucky enough to secure one of the window tables then the view is lovely. Unfortunately we were seated more towards the kitchen but had a spacious table and comfortable seating. The waiter was superb throughout, taking time to explain different options on the menu and recommend certain options. It was nice to point out we’d probably ordered too many sides rather than leave us looking far too greedy! He was both friendly and professional and clearly knew his stuff! The oyster starter was presented perfectly with all the accompaniments and the meatball option was large and tasty. Steaks were cooked to perfection and the sides were sizeable, with the creamed corn being a particular favourite. There’s a decent range of wines available at prices not too ridiculous, along with the food served and presented well. Overall it ended up being a really enjoyable evening and I’d love to return.

Still hasn't lost its charm, it is like walking back into time. The food was very very good. The steak just melted in your mouth. The crab cake was one of the best I have had. They gave us this bread that had sea salt and cinnamon that was like wow. The mashed potatoes, creamy spinach and Mac and cheese were extremely good. Overall very affordable and will be a go to for me in the future.

This is the second time I have dined at Oscars. Let me start off by saying the ambience and service is impeccable. Erik was our server and he went above and beyond for my friend’s birthday. I left notes about being seated near the Fremont view and that it was his birthday. They seated us in the best seat in the house with a clear view straight down Fremont. It was perfect. Food: One of my favorite thing about Oscars are the Oysters. That champagne vignette is to absolutely die for and they are so fresh. The prime rib was cooked perfectly and the Caesar salad was perfectly dressed. Then they brought out a beautiful dresser with HAPPY Birthday spelled out in cinnamon. Happy hour isn’t available in the dome seating area but the view is so worth it. I will definitely be back.

Great service mixed with a fun but classy surroundings. Good food will keep you coming back. The pork belly (not pictured) is a must have with the orange glaze adding a sweet finish to a savory bite.

Oscar’s is absolutely terrific! Best crab cake we’ve ever enjoyed. The tomahawk was worth every penny. The view down Fremont Street was just icing on the cake. Great place with rich history to end a trip to Vegas.

What a fantastic steak. One of the best filets of my life. Such great service and cocktails. A bit on the expensive side, but casual enough of a place that shorts and a polo will fit you right in. I was seated outside with some pretty cool views. Definitely visit if you are nearby. My only negative comment is having to wait nearly 20 min for my table even though I had a reservation. Party of 1 shouldn’t be hard to seat fellas!

We love this restaurant! We have eaten here the last 3 years for our Anniversary. The staff and servers are awesome. The food is amazing! They always give us the table we request when we make the reservation. It’s a relaxed setting with a nice view of Fremont.

This is my first 5 star review across all categories thus my in depth review. Enjoy Dining at Oscar's Steakhouse in Las Vegas transcends the ordinary, offering a truly memorable experience. Seated in Anthony Bourdain's iconic spot, the ambiance is a nod to culinary history. The crab legs are a celestial delight, succulent and brimming with oceanic freshness. The steak, a carnivorous symphony, is meticulously prepared to perfection, ensuring each bite is a revelation. The cocktails are crafted with finesse, tantalizing the senses and complementing the savory feast. Celebrating our wedding anniversary amidst such culinary splendor made the evening an unforgettable journey through delectable flavors and cherished moments. Oscar's Steakhouse is a culinary gem that transforms dining into a celebration of taste and love.

I had an excellent time at Oscar’s for my solo Thanksgiving dinner! It’s the first time in about 20 years that I haven’t cooked turkey and a bunch of other stuff, and it was really nice to be pampered tonight! Everything was super tasty amd came out quick, and the ambiance on the new outdoor patio here was lovely. The portions were generous enough that I have leftovers for tomorrow! Great weather for it too with temps just under 60 degrees and no wind. What a nice night out!

Great great great place to go for a steak. We had the strip lion and the tips and it was just phenomenal. PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND GET THE MASHED POTATOES AND BRUSSELS SPROUTS!!! Best side dishes I’ve had in over 15 years… wine was great, and man- you can beat the view. Bobby was our waiter and did an amazing job stealing us in the right direction! WE WILL BE BACK FOR SURE!

Disappointed after reading the reviews. Enjoyed a few minutes of happy hour but the waitress kept pushing me to hurry and order another drink before I had received or tasted the first one. However I ate the most amazing meatballs ($8 for 2) I’ve ever tasted (lived up to the review hype). For dinner, I ordered the Cap Ribeye with a loaded bake potato. Despite asking for medium well, it was rare in some areas. The restaurant does have amazing view of Fremont Street (which was booked for Mother’s Day) so we sat in the bar area. I would go again but only for happy bar.

I don't think I have ever felt so welcomed at a restaurant like we were here. As soon as we entered we felt the warmth and friendliness of the staff. Our server topped all servers I have ever had anywhere. As far as the food, our meal was beyond excellent. Our medium rare filets where cooked perfectly. Our raw oyster were small but fresh and tasty. Our sides were also very good. If you want to experience a little old style throwback Las Vegas, then come here. You shall not be disappointed.

This restaurant is stunning the views from the dining room are truly incredible and the service is top tier. I ordered the coconut espresso martini and the downtown smash the downtown smash was amazing definitely order that. The bread lacked flavor and the butter didn’t save it but the presentation was cute. For entrees my husband got the burger which was fantastic and I got the crab cocktail warmed with creamed spinach and Mac & cheese everything was delicious. I’m sure everything on the menu is.

We had our Anniversary dinner here it was wonderful! The tables all have a great view of Fremont St. the food is large portion def enough to share and it’s delicious so you kinda want to taste it all! BEST French onion soup with a veal broth sooooo good! I didn’t care for their bread really I wish it was a warm freshly baked for the table but it’s no big deal it’s just my preference! I suggest the obvious steak and something sea food for a great surf and turf! Also the mashed potatoes were buttery and smooth very delicious! I also really really enjoyed the crème brûlée with fresh berries! On the house for our anniversary so sweet 💛🍮🥂 We had reservations and they took us on time to a great table front and center to the view next tot he window. It’s such a classy place with jazzy music that makes you feel like you went back in time…love the chandeliers, it’s a nice and dark atmosphere We Ubered here so I’m not sure about parking at the plaza hotel, but the restaurant is very close once you walk inside to the left up escalator stairs! I will have to return soon! 🍴🥩

I recently dined at the Oscars Steak House and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. Let me start by discussing the steak, which was disappointingly over salted. While I appreciate a well-seasoned cut of meat, the excessive saltiness overwhelmed the natural flavors of the steak, making it difficult to enjoy. It was a missed opportunity to showcase the quality of the meat. Moving on to the side dishes, the brussel sprouts were marred by an excessive amount of stock on the vegetables bulb, resulting in a pronounced bitterness. The mashed potatoes were another letdown. They were clearly over processed, turning them into more of a sauce consistency rather than a proper side dish. Mashed potatoes should have a creamy texture with a hint of texture from the potatoes. However, in this instance, they were overly processed, losing their desired consistency and becoming more of a gloopy sauce. It was a missed opportunity to provide a satisfying accompaniment to the steak. Aside from the culinary disappointments, I couldn't help but notice the attire of the staff. Instead of the expected attire of a high-class steakhouse, the staff were donning butcher's coats. While I understand the desire to have a theme or a unique style, the choice of attire seemed out of place and didn't align with the upscale ambiance one would expect from a vegas steakhouse. It gave off a more casual and less refined vibe, which was disconcerting. On a positive note, the service at the Oscars Steak House was friendly and attentive. The staff was knowledgeable about the menu and made efforts to ensure a pleasant dining experience. However, the shortcomings in the food preparation and the mismatched attire of the staff overshadowed the positives. In conclusion, my visit to Oscars Steak House was disappointing. The steak was over salted, the brussel sprouts suffered from excessive stock, and the mashed potatoes were over processed. Furthermore, the attire of the staff, resembling butcher's coats, seemed out of place in a high-class steakhouse setting. While the service was commendable, it wasn't enough to salvage the overall dining experience or justify the final cost of the meal.

We celebrated our anniversary at Oscars and had a wonderful experience!! The ambiance was classic with a classy Vegas twist. The windows overlooking Freemont Street were incredible to see! Jason was our waiter and he was extremely knowledgeable of the full food and drink menu, attentive and made our night even more memorable. Food was divine - get the Mac and cheese!!! We cannot wait to come back and see the new patio!!

Fantastic place great energy excellent service and tons of history. It was my girl's birthday so we got the primo center booth looking out at the lights. Bone in rib eye and rib cap were excellent and amazing char. She had the Cesar and I got the French onion soup which was excellent. We started the night off with oysters on the half shell and a bottle of vueve cliquot. You must come to Oscars check out Oscar Goodman's office behind the bar too

Had an amazing time here last night. The food was wonderful and all of the staff were friendly, helpful, and attentive. We got advice for the salads and sauces for the steaks. Their chopped and beet salads are very flavourful and, although I don't eat shrimp, my dining companions had the shrimp cocktail and said it was very good. The bread was delicious and the story behind the company that makes it was interesting; I won't spoil it so I recommend asking about the bread when you go. For mains, the bone in ribeye and cap were both very good. For sides, we got the mushrooms and creamed corn. I almost got a second portion of the creamed corn, it was so good. They were very responsive with filling drinks and clearing the table of plates. All of the food came out promptly. A delightful experience, will definitely be back again.

We enjoyed a nice dinner here for no specific reason. The food was fantastic and the experience was incredible. We enjoyed a seat with a view of the Circa and the Golden Gate as the sun set. We started with the calamari and meatballs and the boys had whisky while the girls had wine. My husband and I spilt a NY Strip and the table shared mac, corn, and mashed potatoes. We enjoy opulent meals often and this was the best meal we’ve had in a long time. We’d definitely recommend this place for a vintage Las Vegas experience.

We had a great time at Oscar's while in town. It was a beautiful setting with an old school feel. Service was top notch. Sat at the bar for a bit before our reservation and had a great conversation with the young lady that was bartending. Very friendly and made a good old fashioned. Wife loved her filet and I thought the prime rib was good (not great). The creamed corn on the other hand was dynamite. Highly recommend dinner here if visiting as it is right across the street from the Friemont Experience, so you can hop down there after.

A taste of Classic Las Vegas with perfect views of Fremont Street. They have a happy hour at the bar, even on the weekends. The food is pricey like any typical steakhouse, but worth it. Our group of three ordered different items and shared them family style. We had. the house salad, fish, chicken, and seafood tower. The seafood in the tower was lacking flavor, but the accompanying sauces carried the slack. Reservations are required, but food can be ordered at the bar. The ambiance is dark but is a great environment for dates and friendly celebrations.

Sat down promptly at our reservation time, and got a booth with an excellent view of Fremont St. The service here is above excellent. The drinks are great. My wife and I ordered a French Onion Soup and a Beet Salad, which were top-notch. Unfortunately, the 44oz Tomahawk left something to be desired. We ordered the steak medium-rare, and for the most part, it came out rare. I didn't mind the rare-ness, but my wife wasn't a fan. For being such a thick steak, I wish there was a way that the middle sections could be seasoned/flavored. The top crust was great, but no flavor really penetrated further than that. We will definitely come here again, but will order separate steaks next time.

Oscar steakhouse was amazing the service was also great and the prices were reasonable for what you are getting! I got a dry aged steak. My wife got a filet mignon both came out perfectly cooked and flavored very well. The views were also amazing sitting on the balcony overlooking the street and into Fremont Street! Make sure you make a reservation if you are planning on eating here because they do fill up very quickly. If you like steak houses, you will love this place!

Visited in 2015, 2017 & 2023, today. The food, service and hospitality is always perfect. Has an amazing view straight down Freemont. It's also Biff's hotel from back to the future ( Biff Tannen's Pleasure Paradise ) so that's also really cool to. Will be back again next time we visit Vegas.

Superb! 100% this place lives up to the hype! Food, view, service - everything was tremendous! 5 stars across the board. Our waiter ERIC was super friendly and great with all of his suggestions! So for the appetizers, we got: --♦️French Onion Soup, and it was superb! I would give it a 9.2 /10 --♦️My wife got the Caesar salad and it was good. She gives it a 8.5 /10 For the entrees: --♦️My wife got the chicken and it was next level, she gave it a 10 /10. --♦️I got Manny's Ribcap and it was one of the best steaks I've ever had in my life - 10/10. --♦️Also got a side of mashed potatoes and they were exquisite, 9.5 /10 --♦️Even the cappuccino we got was incredible 10/10 =============== All in all, can't say enough nice things! ✅ PRO TIP #1: this place is super popular so make sure you make reservations well in advance if possible (we made ours a month out on the OpenTable app) ✅ PRO TIP #2: there is small parking lot specifically for Oscars. It's right next to the main hotel parking and there's an attendant out front with an Oscars shirt in front of a movable metal barricade. He'll ask you if you have a reservation and once you tell him yes he'll let you in and direct you to a parking spot - and then'll give you directions how to get to the restaurant (which is inside the Plaza Hotel - on the second floor I believe)👍

First time guest, & first time reviewing a restaurant. I ordered food @ the bar…The bar staff was very friendly, & greeted me with a genuine smile. “Ivan”, the manager, took the time (on a very busy Friday night) to take my order personally. Ivan, took the time to listen to me, & treated me, as if I’m the only guest , with grace , politeness, & world class customer service. Thank you Ivan. I knew right away, that I came to the right place. After trying a variety of foods, I can only describe the food with one word “perfection”. I want to congratulate the owner, the executive chef, for hiring the right people, using high quality meat & fish, & the well balanced food choices in their menu. I also want to thank the Plaza hotel & casino, for introducing me to this hidden gem in Las Vegas.

We had a wonderful time at Oscar's Steakhouse, the award-winning restaurant at the Plaza hotel. The food was amazing, with diverse cuts of beef, classic seafood options, and traditional sides that pay homage to the former mayor of Las Vegas and his family and friends. We enjoyed the the Prime Rib, and Bone-in ribeye, and some of their sea food choices of Skuna Bay Salmon and the New Zealand Pink Snapper. with Oscar's mash potatoes, asparagus, and cream corn. All of it OUTSTANDING!! We also indulged in the chocolate cake for dessert, Cocktails were also great! The portions were generous and the prices were reasonable for the quality and service. The views from the curbed windows were spectacular, overlooking the Fremont Street Experience and the downtown skyline. The restaurant is located inside the Plaza's iconic glass dome, which gives it a unique and elegant ambiance. The service was fantastic, with attentive and friendly staff who made us feel welcome and comfortable. They also gave us some interesting stories about Oscar Goodman, the former mob attorney and city of Las Vegas mayor, who owns the restaurant. Oscar's Steakhouse is not your typical steakhouse. It's a place where you can enjoy delicious food, stunning views, and a bit of history and culture. It's a must-visit, only-in-Vegas dining destination that you won't regret. You'll have a great time at Oscar's!

They did an outstanding job w/ the patio addition to the restaurant. My wife and I enjoyed a birthday @ Oscar’s and sat center stage under the canopy looking down Fremont St. We had a new server this time and he was great. We enjoyed the French onion soup and lobster bisque, beet salad, short ribs, scallops, mashed potatoes, and Brussels sprouts. The quality of food is consistently excellent here. Along w/ the service, they knock it out of the park every occasion! We look forward to coming here for many years to come to celebrate life. Thanks Oscar’s!

Service was impeccable, took great care of our party of 6, food and drinks came out quick, was very knowledgeable on menu, ingredients (we had diet restrictions in our group) Food was delicious, cool old spot in Vegas. Has a great overlooking of the end of Fremont street. Highly recommend if you love classic steakhouses, or old vegas.

This place is completely a rat pack style throwback classic Las Vegas steakhouse. You can sip on martinis, eat oysters from the raw bar, and take on the views of downtown Las Vegas while dining. Located in The Plaza Hotel directly across the street from Freemont Street, you are fully immersed sitting at your table in their glass domed dining room. I would suggest you share a salad and/or some meat balls to start because the portions are generous. When your main course arrives, the side items can also be shared, so their should be plenty for all, unless someone wants their own. I was personally stuffed by the end of my meal, so I didn't have dessert. However, from what I could tell, their desserts were huge. Great dinner, good atmosphere, and amazing service. I highly recommend making a reservation and sitting down for a classic meal in an iconic place.

Absolutely delicious!!!!! We went last night for my birthday celebration. It was a cool experience to eat here. One off the bucket list. It is pricey and for the prices paid I expected a bit more then the boring plates we received. Honestly this was the most outstanding dining experience we’ve had the opportunity and honor to enjoy. An amazing restaurant with amazing views, delicious food, and just incredible energy. Absolutely recommended if you’re looking for a place in Vegas that treats you like you’re a celebrity, no matter who you are. The star of our evening though was Bobby, and honestly they should basically be giving this gentleman person of the year award. He was incredibly personable and kind, intelligent and truly genuine, something that’s difficult to find it todays world. Please, trust my review as well as the many other amazing reviews for this place and make some wonderful memories for yourself!

Oscar's Steakhouses, located on the third floor of the Plaza Hotel, is a must-visit if you enjoy great steaks, delectable sides, and delectable desserts. The restaurant has a view of the Fremont Street Experience. We began with calamari and scallops. Those scallops are something I could eat every day. The 24oz ribeye was our main course. With a perfect mid-rare, the streak melted in my mouth. Side dishes include macaroni and cheese and mashed potatoes. Everything was absolutely incredible. First of all, the vibe of this place. So nice and classy, old times American style as I would imagine it used to be. Service is great and very helpful. And food was really good, except of a little bit oversalted scallops, but that little thing couldn't ruin our overall experience. Will be back for sure. P.S. Definitely recommend to make a reservation.

Wow! This place hits the trifecta of fantastic restaurant experiences. The food is terrific, a classic steak house through and through. The service is wonderful, with friendly and attentive staff. And the atmosphere is stunning, with a great view onto Fremont Street under a shimmering glass dome. Not to mention the prices are so reasonable (compared to anything on the strip). I will definitely be back next time I’m in Vegas, and would highly recommended Oscar’s if your looking for a special and memorable meal.
