Nice Museum. The staff was friendly and inviting. Lots of stuff to look at inside and out. It's was only $2 each too. So great if your looking for something inexpensive and educational to do. The only thing that would have been super helpful was if their was better signage on the main road. The driveway came up fast and we ended up having to turn around and come back cause we passed it.

Honestly one of the best small museums I've ever been to! The historical homes saved from demolition are all set up with period furnishings and interesting information about the area. I would totally go again.

We enjoyed seeing the history of Las Vegas especially The Candlelight Wedding Chapel since my husband and I were married there. The cost is $2 for a afternoon of education and fun. Some of the plants and bushes could be replanted and needed some love. Definitely recommend.

The Clark County Museum is a must see. Especially if you have kids..there is alot to explore here. They open up at 9a to 430p Admission is $2 for Adults $1 for kids and seniors. Plenty of room for your kids to run around and check out all the cool things. If your lucky you just might catch a glimpse of bunny rabbits running around.

This is a must go and visit museum, It is absolutely perfect for the entire family even the little ones will find something interesting here. They have both indoor and outdoor Exhibits. So the best thing is to go is 1st thing in the morning when they open and plan on staying around 2 hours. Unless the weather is around the 70's and 80゚ than any time would be fine. You will want to wear good walking shoes and you can leave your food and drink in the vehicle if you get Hungry or thirsty because It is not allowed in the museum.

This was an excellent museum. The Dioramas were very good. The exhibits did an excellent job of explaining the mining history in great detail. The staff were super helpful guiding us I where to go to see both historic Henderson. But also Hoover dam. Stop I. Here the kids will love it as well as us history nuts.

Huge. Originally thought it was going to be like 4 houses and an admin building. Nope. 34 acres, with wonderfully friendly staff and a lot to see. My 9 yr old enjoyed it immensely and there's a scavenger hunt for the kids they can do (it's huge but it doesn't have to be completed, and is sectioned based on the areas the museum has). The houses on property are kept to historical accuracy (with the accepting of air conditioning thank goodness) and theres hundreds of little details added everywhere. And for the low price, it's absolutely worth the time, price and effort to go see.

I went there at 9.10 am because the museum open at 9 am and I wanted to have time to browse around without a crowd. I left around 10.15 or so and I am glad because I saw a bus pulling in and parking. Early morning is the best time to avoid the crowd. It was nice to find history around and interesting. This was by far one of the funnest museums in the area - the scavenger hunt kept the kiddos engaged, while the walk through the different eras of housing was very interesting. Make sure to bring water - it is the desert and most of the exhibits are outdoor ones -but with refreshing air conditioning stops along the way.

Came here to do family photos which many were there to do the same thing. Jodi Rocco, maybe the lady in charge ended up kicking us out. We had a family friend doing our photos for us. We had no props. Immediately after paying Jodi told us we only got 20 minutes. We paid to get in. Jodi handed us a paper with the rules on it. Nothing in the rules talked about a time limit, so there’s no reason they should have kicked us out. There were at least 4 other photographers there taking pictures. Very disappointed in Jodis lack of customer service. You will never see me at the museum again. You would think a company like this would welcome anyone and everyone, especially since you’re paying there again. It’s too bad because this place is beautiful and I would’ve encouraged others to take advantage of this place for photos when they asked me where I got. Mine done. Now I will have to tell others not to bother coming here for pictures or anything.

This place is actually pretty cool. Not going to lie. I was born here in Las Vegas and it was great to educate my martial arts students about Nevada history. Definitely will bring our students here again. Try the scavenger hunt!

Truly a hidden gem for anyone who is visiting Las Vegas Nevada! The amazing part about this museum is there is a full street of houses from the 1920s, 30s, 40s, 50s and 60s that were taken apart board by board and rebuilt in this setting that recreates and gives you a step back in time. Inside the houses, you can tour each home from a different time period. They have everything from household products to tools and appliances, that a typical homeowner would have used in decade. If you want to step back in time and see some of the things that you may remember from your youth. This is a must see! You can’t beat the admission price of two bucks! Clark county museum is not that far outside of the traditional Las Vegas attractions, and well worth the stop.

What a hidden gem! So much care and attention has been put in to this museum. Loved the houses out of time and adored being able to see the chapel where my parents were married. Best $2 I've ever spent!

We really enjoy the museum and touring the vintage homes that have been moved to the site. The museum recently had a two day Christmas event where all the houses are decorated. The Green Valley HS choir performed some awesome Christmas carols and, of course, free hot chocolate and Santa 🎅. We appreciate the work that goes into making this a fun event for the whole family.

I've been here for like 5 or 6 times, but before you couldn't take pictures in the houses like now, but before you can take photos in the outdoor areas, not are signs everywhere saying that you can not, plus most of the houses are closed, and the attetion was not than good than other years, I used to love this place.

Cute little museum. One star was removed due to a somewhat musty smell in a few of the exhibits. Well worth the money, nonetheless.

A hidden gem in the desert! This I'd a fantastic little museum. Make sure to hit the village side when it's cooler, and go through the inside museum when it heats up. Such a nice use of a day!

I have been going here since I was a litter girl. It's a charming museum with great displays, friendly engaging staff, educational in a fun way, and will keep children and adult entertained! If you've never been, stop on down here, you won't be sorry. The prices are great, and it's a little gem of a museum, you can tell a lot of love for southern Nevada and history in general went in to the bones of this place. Great place for all ages and makes a wonderful field trip if you are homeschooling your kids.

Take your kids here! This is a family friendly out door museum. You can climb on trains, see a ghost town, walk though old 1930s houses. Bring sunscreen. There are plenty of places for interesting selfie as well. There is a main entrance building with a small display area and bathrooms.

Better than expected. They have a replica Main Street with six full-size houses from different eras of our valley. They have a small train yard with real train cars. Also little outdoor walking paths. And an indoor museum. All for $2 per person.

  • 5/5 Robert B. 4 months ago on Google
The museum is worth a visit as it presents an excellent opportunity to discover the southern Nevada regional history, as well as mid-century changes in living conditions for the earlier population. Children, I believe, could find this to be a family field trip day. The museum is very inexpensive. Parking is free and plentiful.

Finally got to this place! We love it! The favorite and most interesting part were the old houses especially since it is October! I wish we could interact a little more with the homes but i understand a lot of people are not very respectful! OMG! I seriously enjoyed seeing real grass and moss and a old fashion neighborhood! All of the Trains! I am from a small town called Columbus, Ms. Trains, trains and more trains! We went twice the first time the lady in the gift shop was Amazing! She gave us the run down and maps! She was sooo knowledgeable! The kids talked about her all day how nice she was! The second time we went not such a nice lady in the gift shop. She was rude, she wanted us to hurry up..she lied and said we only have 40 mins and we had an hour. So we enjoyed the entire hour, it was Friday so maybe she wanted to leave early. Not our fault! she was watching the kids every move in the gift shop "the lady kept eyeing us".

This indoor/ outdoor museum was great for toddlers. They enjoyed walking through the main interpretive center and were especially taken with the Dire Wolf. Outside is set up like a small neighborhood on one side of the main street with farm and business buildings on the other. My grandchildren took turns choosing which place to see next. Their outdoor favorite was the caboose. There's a recording of the train moving and they were pretending we were going to grandma's house and to a friend's. We had to sit any time the train was "moving" and almost didn't get out of there! The price for this small museum is great, only $2 for adults, $1 for children 3-? and for seniors. They also participate in the program providing free entrance to active duty military families. We visited near the end of June and the houses had 4th of July decorations. I also went about 14 months ago and they had Easter decor. It's just a bit here and there, I almost missed it, but I enjoy that extra touch by the staff. Thank you for an enjoyable visit.

Great place! Loved the exhibits, counter lady was very nice and friendly. Nice place to walk around and see adorable homes and really cool historical items. I how ever and my friend would like to start a petition to remove the creepy Mannequins from the town houses, very un settling. Thank you for making a fun learning experience available! Keep up the good work!

  • 5/5 Snoopy T. 1 year ago on Google
The Clark County Museum is well worth the trip. The staff there is very friendly. It almost feels like one is going to a series of small museums. The houses I entered took me back to various decades in the 20th century. Things are arranged in an interesting neighborhood type pattern on a street. Time is taken to show how various families that once lived in the houses helped grow the local commuinity. You can explore at your own pace. Hands on activities are provided for children. Of course, some items are hands off and posted as such.

This is a wonderful place! I love it and have been many times. The main museum has great artifacts from Nevada and cities from Clark County , last time I was there( it’s been awhile) they had some memorial items from the 2017 Mandolin Bay shootings in which a total of 61 people lost their lives. I don’t know if that is still out. But they have Native American relics , all kinds of interesting things. Also on the property they have several houses that are decorated in different eras, clothing, furniture, decor, cars, everything! The houses are my favorite part. There is also a lovely little chapel on the grounds that is very quiet and serene. There are benches and shade along all of the paths. There is also a first rate gift shop that has an assortment for all ages. I think I’ve talked myself into another visit, very soon !

I only had an hour before they closed but they were nice. You need 2 or 3 hours. The indoor museum is interesting and fairly small. It's American South West History going back 100's and 1000's of years. The real unique thing is outside across street. It's a little street with period homes moved to this location, lining the street. You can walk in them. They are set up as from the late 1800's, early 1900's to 1960's. You could get there by bus but I had rental car. Cost. $2. Go. Great break from Las Vegas lights and fast pace.

Wonderful museum, great staff. most part is outside, the little white wedding chapel has been moved from Vegas to here ,same with several historical houses from the Vegas/Henderson area. Same with historical mining equipment.

  • 5/5 Jacob M. 1 year ago on Google
This is a hidden gem! What an incredible museum, in particular the preserved homes from different eras of America. Each home really gives you a sense of how Americans lived in each particular time period, like the 1950s '70s etc. We spent two and a half hours here with our toddler who enjoyed looking at the trains and walking through different homes. We've been to Vegas several times over the years to visit family and never made our way to this museum until this time. I wish we'd visited sooner, it's really great. We were fortunate to enjoy the special holiday Christmas decorations in each home. I understand they change the contents of homes for Christmas. Two suggestions, improve visibility of the sign from the highway, and consider guided tours similar to the Tenement Museum in East village New York, it would be great for each home to have a dedicated tour to learn more about its history, the people etc. Hats off to a great job at the Clark county museum.
