I'm a veteran. I go for blood work. They used to have the best coffee I've ever tasted. They would give u cookies after u give blood. It made me feel special. Small talk with the people u encounter for the moments ur there. I miss that a lot! No more since the pandemic. The volunteers are so nice & very helpful. Keep up the good work! Thanks for your service ladies & gentleman! I wish those days would come back again.

The hours of operation are a mess. The clinic recently changed to 0700-1800, Monday through Friday, and 0730-1600 on Saturday. HOWEVER, the lab closes at 1530 and imaging closes at 1545. So if you're advised to fast for your labs, and your appointment is after 15:30, either get in early or do it the day before. The VA website for this clinic has their old hours, which were only until 1600, but did not (and does not) list separate hours for different clinic functions. The care is pretty standard GP-level stuff. They're good about referrals and are easy to reach by phone. I do not recommend mental health services at this location. The social workers are pretty good, but the psychiatrist needed to retire long ago. Bottom line: confirm hours several times before you show up and go to the main hospital at Pecos and CC215 for mental health services. (This location does not have a pharmacy.)

There are some great things about this office including their peer services, therapists, the volunteers, and the cops/security. The facility is clean and quiet. However, everyone who is an administrative worker here should be ashamed of either themselves, their staff, or their co-workers. If you have a mental illness and are hoping for sensitive and kind treatment, I promise you won’t receive it from the enrollment office. The enrollment administrative staff and their direct supervisor will be short with you, belittle you, judge you, and may even make impolite statements about your income. If you’re going to enroll, try the main hospital, THEN use the services at this location. They may even lose or misrepresent your paperwork. If you have thick skin then this may not be an issue for you, but if you’re like me and this was a last ditch effort to get mental health services, then try elsewhere first.

This listing isn't the Medical Center. It's a community care center with limited facilities (CBOC). Call first. The genuine VAMC is about 5 miles distant from this place.

Nice location. From my understanding this is a newer location. I had to do some labs. Got in and out very quick so I was pleased about that. Overall looks nice. Parking is a bit wonky like most va’s.

Very inappropriate, staff that were veterans will treat you like you’re a private to regain some sense of power back. Black lady that ‘helped’ me get my Veterans Health ID card was incredibly rude made me feel like an idiot for following Veteran Office’s orders instead of explaining. She kept asserting she had 20+ years of experience (with the ‘same’ sexual harassment trauma as me) but I, a veteran with 3 years only because my FIRST sergeant who harassed me during orders was still my boss and chain of command suppressed my reports and almost tried to deploy me overseas with my harasser as my supervisor. If her experience was as bad as me, she wouldnt be talking to me without empathy. And if it were as bad as mine she wouldnt have had 20 years in the military. It’s very inappropriate and unprofessional. My experience was damn near like Vanessa Guillen’s almost with the death if i was sent overseas and actions like that is why I never got my justice in the first place. I know i won’t get justice for this either but I hope someone reads this and goes somewhere else if they need a kind staff

Vietnam Veteran, Dr Gaceta is my primary Doctor, but I haven't been seen by him since the beginning of this clinic. Dr explained he would order testing for Dibeties and other illnesses from exposure to "Agent Orange"68-69. Never received any scheduling or appointments. Dr Adell made several appointments over the years but eighter canceled or rescheduled, but then rescheduled again. She is a Good Doctor, just her health was reflecting her canceling appointments. I have to refer to outside the clinic and pay myself for my condition. The clinic is top notch, never a complaint or long waiting periods, just scheduling problems, wrong dates, notifications of canceled appointments, following up only after the appointment was canceled. Problems as expected behind the processing. But the Clinic and the people at Northwest, Rancho Dr. Very friendly and much more efficient than anything in the I have experienced. Hoping my new Physician will be more attentive to my illnesses. The PTSD, Mental Hygiene Dept at the Hospital with Dr. Calzado has been much appreciated with the BEST care for my condition. In Closing, The VA system has been top notch during the Trump Administration than ever before, going back to 1969. GOD BLESS ALL MY VETERAN BROTHERS !

I am a patient transferring over from Salt Lake City VAMC. Been trying to get an appointment with a primary care that isn't 60+ days out. Got a phone call from the Primary Care Nurse: Maria Tan and she basically tells me 'tough luck, try a walk-in and hope for the best'. Asked her politely if she could leave a note with the front desk to have them call me to schedule an appointment sooner and she tells me 'I am too busy to send notes to anybody. Why don't you just call' After explaining to her that the appointment lines are busy 60+ minutes and drop your call for no reason. Been a patient with Dallas VAMC, Kansas City VAMC and Salt Lake City VAMC. This is by far the worst experience I have ever had to deal with from a primary care provider. If you get her as a Nurse Practitioner run away!

The Nurses, Doctors, Mental Health practioners, Nurse Practioners, VA Police, and volunteers are really nice and good people! They try their best and do well to serve patients, and undergo alot of training and updating of skills and knowledge to constanly improve service to veterans! I 've been going here for over 6 years now, and have received excellent care!

Cancelled appointments. No in person appointments. I record my video appointments so I can remember what they say, but a couple times I record the video appointment and no one comes on. I call the office and they get me in touch with my provider via phone and she makes it sound like it’s my fault. Call their number from the voicemail and letter when they canceled on me, and they transfer me to VA main hospital, VA main transfers me back and this clinic hangs up on me. Multiple times. Can’t reschedule my appointment. Not worth it. I’ll figure something else even though I don’t work right now. Call Concerned Veterans for America (CVA) to let an independent, non-government group, know if this has been happening to you too. It’s a new location, that is nice. The volunteers here are the stars. Not all is bad.

When you call to make an appt sometimes they can be so rude, I had a rude guy who was laughing, respond with smart remarks, telling me it’s my fault on Monday around 230pm. They don’t know what a person health issues are or what we are going through. The manager of the call center don’t even take the time out to call you back to see what the problem was.

Today August 2, 2023 0930ish my husband tried to call his PCM and had to go through the front desk to speak w them first. He waited his 15 minutes and only to have a women pick up and seemed unaware that she picked up the call because she was talking on and on about something personal. He said hello and she seemed shocked and gasped followed up by hanging up on him. VERY ANNOYING AND DISAPPOINTING. Called again and waited an added 20 minutes. Will try to report this in other ways too, they are dealing with people's health and need to be aware of the implications.

We were referred to the VA HOSPITAL on Pecos when they could have easily treated my husband at this clinic. Extremely disappointed in the lack of attention to the vets simply because it was nearing the holiday weekend.

Well first off it's a VA FACILITY and I'll keep it simple. My opinion and experience, hence the 5 🌟 ! Every one there are awesome! There mission I assume, is to put Every VETERAN, that enters there door to be a top priority, and offer seller medical services to all!

Hats off the Dr Zapater, Pedro docs assistant teleconferencing director.Nurse Mary, EMT Mike, Tom and Gerry, and Police Paris and Samuel others who followed up Mike B. You all rock and roll. Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays. Jesus cares say your prayers Amen.

This place is a joke. Labs take forever. Your doc is not gonna see you until 20 minutes past your scheduled time. There is just so much demand and not enough support. Half of the staff here don’t want to be here because of the lack of support and they face our complaints.

The staff is professional and courteous through the entire process. I recommend an early arrival if you are coming as a walk-in without an appointment. I was a walk-in and waited just under an hour. They were busy so this wasn't bad at all. There was a helpful volunteer who was engaging and friendly.

It's a nice facility is small and quiet. Quick and easy to get lab work done. At the main hospital it feels like you're waiting in a dungeon. Here, it's open and calm

Stopped in from out of town, and the staff was friendly and helpful with getting me seen as a walk in. My wife and I were both extremely happy with this location.

Every time I come to this VA Clinic, I am always greeted by the information counter with a smile & a "Good Morning,Sir! How can I assist You?". My visit this time was to have a Presidential Memorial Certificate Application faxed. The clerk who assisted Me(Teena Snider) Greeted Me with a SMILE & A "GOOD Afternoon,Sir-How can I assist You?" She was very PROFESSIONAL<COURTEOUS & took the time to assist Me! A very PLEASURABLE EXPERIENCE!

😠 If you can, try to go somewhere else, this place is a joke. Do not respect people's time. I get it sometimes the are delays being seen, but 3 hours is unacceptable. This is the second time that it has happened. When you ask the check in people they react like they don't care one bit.
