UMC Quick Care - Centennial Hills

Medical clinic

😠 Walked through the door's of UMC Quick Care at 8:55am. I checked in, was then called up by the front desk where they asked what I needed to be seen for. After that I sat in the waiting room for 45mins. I was then called back by a nurse to check my vitals. Then once again told to sit back in the wait... People often mention care, staff, doctor, time, wait, front, nurse, nurses, medical, people,

Walked through the door's of UMC Quick Care at 8:55am. I checked in, was then called up by the front desk where they asked what I needed to be seen for. After that I sat in the waiting room for 45mins. I was then called back by a nurse to check my vitals. Then once again told to sit back in the waiting room. After about 10mins I got called back into a room. There I sat for an additional 45mins. After this I decided to leave. I understand I wasn't the only patient but I believe it to be absolutely ridiculous to not have been seen by a doctor in the 2 hrs I was waiting. Never again will I go here.

Last week I went to a different urgent care and they were good, but I feel like they didn't quite listen to my problem. So yesterday I tried UMC Quick Care. I went in at 8am and was out by 8:55am. They did x-rays, which turned up an issue that i was unaware of. Doc was informative and at no time did I feel like a rush job. The staff listened and was empathetic. I left with prescriptions to help me get through until I can see a primary doctor. Today I'm feeling functional... which is a big change from how I've felt for 2 months. I appreciated the doctor and nurses here. Highly recommend. And looking at other reviews concerning wait time... just understand the doctor is spending time with other patients and listening to the problems they have. You'd want the same. Quality care is worth the wait.

DO NOT COME HERE!!! I arrived at 4:57 p.m. and was there past there closing time at 8:00 p.m. One patient was extremely upset about the extra long wait times, and the front desk receptionist literally said it's been like this for over a year, and the only excuse was that there was one doctor and one nurse practitioner. If you can't afford to hire the proper staff, there needs to be a limit on patients. I have never had such a bad experience with a medical facility. ABSOLUTE failure.

receptionist was useless and incredibly unhelpful. ended up waiting over 30 minutes only to be turned away. even though as soon as we got in there we let them know my boyfriend dislocated his shoulder (maybe broke his clavicle) and let her know he was in a lot of pain. she didn’t tell us the wait she just had us sit down and said she would call his name soon. 30 mins go by finally get up there and only had more issues. she didn’t even tell me there was a lot of people in front of him i just asked her how much longer and if there was anything to do for his pain if the wait was long. found out there was a good amount of people ahead of us and when i pressed further learned it could actually take over an hour. ended up just leaving for an ER. would’ve gone their immediately if she said the wait was even over 30 mins. she couldn’t even remember which arm it was even though he was in a makeshift sling and was asking the stupidest questions. infuriating she felt that comfortable letting him sit for that long after we said his pain was unbearable, would’ve rather been turned away.

This review is SOLELY for one specific employee by the name is Deb T. She was so rude and intentionally did not help me when she could have. I took two of my boys for a sports physical. I checked in at 4:03 p.m. and they had tryouts at 5 p.m. I forgot the paperwork for the physical and she refused to print them out saying she was not able to and my boys could not be seen until I had the paperwork. My husband brought the paperwork to me 10 minutes later and she took every other person before me even though I was already checked in. Then she wouldn't take me back until the paperwork was filled out which took me two minutes to complete and I could have done it while she checked vitals. Overall, my boys missed their tryouts because of Deb T. Yes I didn't come prepared with the paperwork, but she could have been helpful and printed them or took us back right when she saw that I had the paperwork. Something that should have taken 30 minutes tops took two hours. Deb T. Needs to retire because she is obviously burned out and doesn't want to be kind and helpful to others. She was completely rude and nasty from start to finish. This is one of the cleanest quick cares and I have always had good experiences in the past, but this time because of one individual it was a terrible experience. I hope she receives consequences because people like her give good places bad reputations. There are many kind and caring staff members at this facility, but Deb T. is not one of them. I hope more people speak up and write reviews about this woman because she is toxic to the environment there and when others saw how she treated me they all apologized.

I was there recently and all of the staff were very polite and helpful. Even the follow up call the next day the nurse I talked with was very caring. I would absolutely return to this facility again. The staff was more polite and caring than at my primary care physicians office.

I'm not normally a person to leave a review, usually an unfortunate circumstance leads to a bad review, which is not a true reflection of a business. But my recent visit to UMC Quick Care at Centennial has caused me to write this. These people are outstanding! I was visiting quick care obviously not having my best day, like all of us. Even upon entering, I was greeted with an amazing staff of helpfull people there to assist me. My attending physician and the nursing staff were great in helping me, everyone was so caring. The front desk staff, and in particular Alicia, was absolutely amazing! Alicia took the time to listen to me, pay attention to me and talk to me like a real person not just another check-in. Alicia took the time to make me feel even just a little better with her kind words, welcoming smile (which you can still see under the mask), and actual concern for my well-being that is rare in this world now, but very much appreciated. Alicia takes the "care" part of UMC Quick Care to an entirely new level of excellence!

TERRIBLE . I don’t understand why it takes so long when there’s so many staff members and have people waiting for an hr just for a test??? No communication at all either from any nurse or doctor. They truly do not care about you. I do NOT recommend going here. Go to an Urgent Care not UMC.

If you are a cash patient stay far far away from this place...I'm no stranger to the urgent care experience, in California at least. So perhaps I'm being naive when it comes to urgent care in NV, however, if I even remotely thought my 45 minute visit would have cost me $800 (minus a supposed cash "discount"), I would have driven elsewhere, or to ER. $800...I paid $120 upfront, got my blood pressure and O2 sats checked and a needle of toridol in my rear. The doctor didn't even examine me and an AI robot in the lobby took my temperature. Also, I provided my height and weight. Wow! Thanks for giving such quality care to the people willing to pay cash upfront for medical services they need and don't have insurance for. Gouging folks during a time of financial hardship and a health crisis. I thought it was off that UMC wasn't upfront about costs aside from the set upfront fee. I should have walked out the door, but given I have never been charged $150 for the exact same urgent care visit in my life, $800 was inconceivable. Lesson learned. It is curious though how $120 is about what they'd get from Medicare for the same visit...

This is the worst clinic. They make us wait almost 4 hours for just a inhaler and pill for vomiting but my kid is being coughing for 3 days with fever. No good nurses the Dr making all the job. This is insane driving 30min there and wait 4 h and then go back home still with a sick kid.

I got here before 10am and barley got a room to see the doctor at 11:30am. I also did a web check in. This waiting time is ridiculous. The Also did not give me a heads up on the wait time when i checked in. I spent my entire morning in the lobby with a closed and swollen throat. The workers here has no type of urgency whatsoever. I will not be coming back here ever again.

I was pressured to visit the UMC Trauma Center after this clinic couldn’t help us. The doctor barely even looked at my child’s issue. Wanted to immediately pass it off to that God awful hospital in a bad part of town. (Don’t go to UMC trauma center) I didn’t want to go to this hospital but they wanted to sign me off on papers. I regret it. Don’t come here if they’re pressuring you and passing you off instead of actually fixing your medical issues.

I fell off a ladder and cut up my hand. The staff here is awesome! From the receptionist to the doctor. I received top-notch care. Seven stitches later, I highly recommend this Quick Care!

From staff in the front desk to the staff inside, the nurse practitioners and doctors, I can’t say anything negative. They are all good in catering patient’s concerns, very courteous and respectful and medical practitioners are mostly looking young but very sharp in pinpointing diagnosis and and excellent in medical management. I am wondering why they have low reviews. They are great!

I Have not been to a doctor in almost 20 years. I haven't had a need to. Firm believer, if it isn't broke, don't fix it. LOL! I hurt my back and was in such much pain, didn't want to go to the hospital. I went here instead. What a fantastic visit!! I got there on a Monday when they opened at 8am. I was in and out in an hour and they did X rays. Suggested I make an appointment for their primary care upstairs, and I didn't even have to go upstairs to do this, they did it right at the front counter. If you need some quick care, this is the place I would recommend!!

Barb took my X-rays and was absolutely amazing I was feeling horrible and she made me laugh so much it made the experience much better! I wish more people were as friendly and personable as she was in the medical field. Thank you so much for being an amazing person and making my trip to UMC QUICK CARE PLEASANT IN SPITE OF THE PAIN I WAS EXPERIENCING 💜💜💜💜💜

This is the only urgent care I will ever step foot into. The front office staff is amazing, all of them. They greet you with a smile and make you feel welcome. The doctors and nurses do an amazing job as well, they have great bedside manner and they are thorough. I have been here over a dozen times in the past few years and have not been disappointed one time. No matter how full the waiting room gets, they move you through the process quickly and efficiently, unlike most other places.

Arrived around 9am and it's now 12:10pm and still nobody has seen me. I can understand being busy but empty lobby and a 3+ hour wait is just ridiculous. Not really sure on how this place stays in business.. Total failure of the medical system..

Carmen R.N was excellent! Should I ever have to go there again, I would be most happy if she was there she was fabulous, kind, attentive and had the best personality of anyone in the back. It was extremely busy on Monday and while others were curt and looked frazzled, she was just as pleasant as could be. Jessica at the front desk was very sweet as well.

Dr. Chang took his time with my two-year-old daughter when she broke her collarbone. All the staff were incredibly kind- the PAs, the xray technician, and the dear Grandma in the purple mask at the front desk. I wasn't expecting much but this place was really nice! I am very thankful to all the staff there. Dr.Chang and staff were very quick to get us a referral as well even though they were very busy. I was honestly not expecting much because I called earlier in the day to ask if they did x-rays there and after ten-minute of holding I hung up. I hope this place stays the same if my family ever has to go back!

Having been a nurse myself I do not understand the concept of not giving antibiotics to a person who has been sick with a sinus infection for 3+ weeks and instead thinks giving a mountain of steroids instead is a better idea, but Monique Turner, APRN seems to think that’s the way to go. I should also mention my husband and I BOTH came in at the same time on the same day with the same symptoms. He saw someone else who was quick to diagnose the sinus infection, Give antibiotics and send him on his way. Myself on the other hand got immense push back, told I didn’t know what I was talking about when I confirmed that you can actually prescribe both antibiotics and steroids at THE SAME TIME, and got attitude when I stated it seemed pretty counter productive to give one person antibiotics and not the other when they live in the same home, sleep in the same bed and have the same symptoms. I demanded a new doctor and when I got one it was the same doctor that saw my husband. I got my antibiotics and was sent on my way. Something that should have taken an hour tops ended up taking close to 3. Ridiculous. If a patient wants antibiotics GIVE THEM. They know their body, and especially after WEEKS of doing over the counter drugs with no success. I’m sorry but these people don’t understand that concept and instead push their narrative on others that home remedies will work “ eventually” so tell me when I get deathly ill because no one listens to me who do I need to sue? Will never recommend this place or Monique Turner, APRN. She’s absolutely incompetent and incredibly rude with zero bedside manner.

I came her after CareNow Urgent Care - Centennial Center refused to give me antibiotics for a Sinus Infection and Infected nail. The nurses & doctor were great. They actually listened to all my issues and symptoms and prescribed me antibiotics with no hesitation whatsoever. Complete opposite of the other Urgent Care down the street. Me and my family will only be coming here from now on. 10/10

Sending this to share my appreciation for seeing me quickly yesterday and helping to feel better. Everyone was kind the receptionist helped me look up insurance. The attending nurse and MD were available without long wait and attentive. The prescription did wonders for my pain and I felt much better today. You deserve kudos!

Went to this location 2 days in a row. The first day we were seen fast, but the doctor misdiagnosed a serious infection and sent our child home with only a steroid cream. As a mother I knew something was wrong and went back after calling to make sure there was a different doctor. 2nd day it was a longer wait, but doctor was fantastic and sent our son home with correct diagnosis and medication. Clean office and professional staff. Grateful this is an option when you can't get to a primary care doctor.

A big thank you to Quick Care for giving me the care I needed when coming in while I was under the weather. Todd Shapiro, PAC listened to my concerns and helped me by running the tests necessary...and his Nurses Aide, Heidi was the answer to my queries and fears. I don't often go to Urgent Care but I am relieved that I have a place to go if needed. Thank you UMC for hiring a good staff for your facilities.

Thank you Nurse Nicole, Dr. Taylor and technologist Glenn. I am not a fan of quick cares. However I had such wonderful care today. I had needed an xray on my ankle and I am so glad I went to quick care on Cenntenial.

The nurses and doctors were very nice. I just wish they would have called me even once after my first visit. My Illness and misery could have been cut in half if I had swapped over to a different set of antibiotics sooner. That would have been 5 days of less suffering and pain. If a nurse called me I would have said my symptoms were not improving. I could have been given different antibiotics sooner and I would have been better off. Is that so much to ask? If you care about your patients as you say you do, take two minutes and follow up with them two or three days later. Also, be clear with them when they should receive follow up care and what the patients should expect under a normal course of recovery.

I don't normally write reviews but this one needed to be written. I went to UMC for an infected cyst, I know, eww gross lol. Alicia at the front desk was very personable and very very helpful! When I got back into the room Dr. Chang took care of not only removing the infection from my cyst but also removing the entire cyst wall. I had this under my armpit for 12 years with no problem and then it started to hurt and the staff at UMC Centennial Hills was awesome! Thank you and Highly recommend them! Just understand that a lot of places might be short staffed so go easy on our medical peeps when it comes to how long or short a visit may be.

It would be 5 for the nurses are amazing,if I was rating just the nurses. On Jan 2 I went to get exray because I have history of double pneumonia even before covid. 20 hospital stays ect so trying to prevent a hospital stay I always go there first, waited from 3:30 - 8:15 a Dr comes in listens to my history and my lungs was not even gonna exray or give meds. Luckily nurse saw me crying and asked for exray he then comes back to tell me I have double pneumonia no apology or anything. The nurse got me meds and everything I needed. i know they close at 8 and he just wanted to go home but I had been there over 5 hours. I can not tell you enough how grateful I am for the nurse that helped me. I'm a single mom and babysitter is sick if I had to go to hospital I do not know where my vet young kids would Hve gone. I know these dr are overwhelmed with covid but please listen to your clients sometimes

Nothing "Urgent" about this place. Come here if you want sloooow care. I'm writing this as I sit in a room waiting. After I've already waited 3.5 hours to get into a room. No telling how long this wait is going to be. 🤷🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️🙄 UPDATE: Dr. came un after an hour and was super informative. He even googled some pitcures of what the fluid behind my ear looked like. Not sure of his name , but he was a young Asian guy with glasses. Because of him I'm updating to 2 stars.

Excellent care!!! While passing through vegas, I had a sudden bout of food poisoning which left me feeling terrible. The staff at UMC (Abigail and Steve Gish) were wonderful at promptly treating my symptoms and helping me feel normal again! I highly recommend their professionalism and care.

Came in when doors opened to get immediate attention with a liver reaction to PLAXOVID they prescribed. The girl at desk kept arguing over my insurance and would not change to new one. I had to call my husband etc. meanwhile while I’m trying to help them she doesn’t put my chart up and 6 people are now in front of me! I’m itching all over and sick with COVID and because she won’t listen I’m sitting here for an hour itching and sick. I should have just let them deal with the mess they were creating. They need to get the chart up no matter what. People should stay in their spot no matter how inadequate the front desk is.

I will always remember Shelley that helped me at this office. I walked in with a cut from a can and I had to get the tetanus shot. I was so terrified to get the shot (even in my 30’s) and I was alone and crying in the doctors room. I will never forget how sweet Shelley was with me. She calmed me down, reassured me it was going to be ok and I got the shot. That meant so much to me and I will always remember her heart and kindness being there for me as this was a very vulnerable moment for me. If you’re reading this Shelley, thank you for what you did for me. It meant everything to me. I’ll always remember YOU. :)

I went in early morning on a Wednesday because I couldn’t hear out of one of my ears. I was there for 2 hours which was a bit long, but also this is not an ER, so I didn’t mind. The staff was very friendly & helpful. They cleaned out my ears & by the time I left I was feeling a million times better than I came & I could hear again! Will definitely return whenever I am in need of some medical help.

I’ve been to this location on 3 separate occasions, and each visit was a fast and pleasant experience. The nurses and PA’s are kind and helpful; they listened to me, prescribed me what was needed, and sent me on my way relieved. I usually prepare for the worst if I need to be treated in healthcare, but this place has got it right. Thanks for the exceptional care guys.

Dispute being very busy, the staff were very attentive. They said they were busy, but they still asked if I needed anything. After the visit, they told activate my UMConnect account to find my results to my tests. The staff did a great job of keeping me informed of what was going on during the visit & any questions as I was leaving.

The clinic is welcoming, clean, and enough seats for everyone. The few times, I visited this clinic, I/We were always seen and treated immediately. I would like to commend the front desk, Esmeralda (Esmee), for her quick attention and for processing my information so I can be called. The first nurse, I forgot her name, who took my vitals, she was friendly and professional. Nurse Mylene explained the details of my consultation and prescription. APRN, Mariz, took her time to check everything. The conversations werent rushed and showed genuine care.
