Medical clinic Hiv testing center

👍👍 I was very sad to find out recently that my doctor, Dr. Paul McHugh has retired. He was the best doctor in the world. Very knowledgeable about HIV and anything concerning it. Very friendly and personable and you knew that he truly cared about your health. I will miss him so much. Thanks for taking... Talk about irresponsible! Appointments have to made well in advance, lab work a week before. As a working stiff, I have to request time off a month in advance. I HAD an appointment for June 10, 2016. I am set for labs, on June 2, 2016. I get a call now, to have my appointment tomorrow, June1, 2016. I have a JOB! And how about those labs??? And NO explanation, as to why my appointment is canceled. And I ask for a manager, and get voicemail!!! What's worse, is that this is my only option for my care, and this isn't the first time this place has pulled this stunt! How are they NOT under fire, for their irresponsible actions?!

BE WARNED; This practice bills through the hospital as a ‘emergency visit’ through UMC hospital. It’s a tactic to save money, and have them not have their own billing team at there office. What does that mean for you? It means that even if they have a doctor in network, and you have a copay you will have to pay your deductible, whatever that may be. So for example instead of paying my $50 dollar copay for them being in network I’ve had to pay 100-110 so 50%-60% more. Look for another doctor in network, and avoid this office as all they care about is profits. I even tried to have my insurance speak with them, and there is nothing that could be done, it’s to save them money, by putting those costs on you.

Dr. Farabi is the best. When he left I was assigned to Dr.Shadaba Asad. This doctor was very rude not knowledgeable of any of my past info or of my disease or medications and would not renew prescriptions that Dr. Farabi has had me on for many many years. I was told to get them from my other Doctors like primary care, cardiologist ect. How are they suppose to know how my medications will react to my infectious disease medication. They aren’t specialists. I thought that is why you see a specialist cause they know about the medication they are prescribing to you. I would not trust this Doctor with my life or my medical care. Now that I know that Dr. Farabi is located in the same building 701 Shadow Lane 3rd floor #320 I will be going back to the best a doctor that allows one to be very proactive in their treatment.

I think the front office is short-staffed but my doctor was fabulous my first appointment was a breeze but the second one was a lot of waiting and I've also had to wait over an hour to make an appointment via my cell phone thank God for unlimited plans

Waiting an hour with an appointment is unacceptable. I was the first patient after their lunch break, and the excuse was that the office meeting took little longer than expected. I would understand a 30 minutes, not an hour. A perfect example how the state insurance patients are being exploited, and disregarded. Wasted my drive from Henderson. Time to find another clinic.

Each time I have been here, the front desk reception is rude and unprofessional with check-in details. Mask requirements in the office are not enforced. This office is always behind schedule and this time I had been waiting for 30 minutes after my scheduled time when the doctor and staff started returning from lunch ... sitting in a waiting room where people are not wearing masks. Very similar experience on other visits. But worst of all, my Dr who has otherwise been helpful was all but inaccessible because of his engagement with a medical student during my visit. I didn't have an opportunity to reject the presence of the medical student. This is a real problem, doctors become defensive, arm-folding, summarily dismissive jerks when medical students are present. After my previous visit here I was notified by UMC that all my private information had been stolen in a computer hack. UMC's offer was to perform credit monitoring check. This woefully deficient response gilds the lily. Eventually you can get what you need here but don't look to gain insights into your health issues by the providers here. Do not expect to be issued lab work in a timely fashion, don't expect the staff to demonstrate any concern for you and woe to you if the dr is performing for their med students.

Dr. Farabi is wonderful. He takes tie to talk to you and answer questions. He does not judge, and everyone should feel comfortable telling him everything about your health. The staff is excellent as well.

The doctors are great here!, but, the message on the phone is stupid. This is not Mexico this is america! It is very stupid to have Spanish only and primarily on the message on the phone. This is america! Not Mexico! The Mexicans need to learn English! not us adapt to them!!

😠 Ashley Smith is an incompetent and pathetic excuse for a doctor. Don't see her unless you want your time and money wasted and everything you say to be dismissed, and for her to claim to instantly know more than 10 years worth of specialist treating you. Worst doctor I've ever encountered and shouldn...

😠 If you can, try to go somewhere else, this place is a joke. Do not respect people's time. I get it sometimes the are delays being seen, but 3 hours is unacceptable. This is the second time that it has happened. When you ask the check in people they react like they don't care one bit.
