Do NOT go here! This place is a disaster. Very unprofessional. Brought my mom in for severe, severe headache pain. The guy who checked her in seemed more concerned about cleaning things up rather than checking my mom in. No sense of urgency nor concern about her condition. The nurse practitioner was thorough and seemed knowledgeable. We had to wait at leat three hours for CT scan results. If this would have been life-threatening, my mom probably would have died. Maybe the radiologist was on a coffee and doughnut break. Not only did we have to wait for over 3 hours, no one could even give us the foggiest idea of when the results would be available. Completely unacceptable. They were very good about making sure my mom was going to pay. The person registering my mom wanted her to sign papers even though she was on pain medication. Maybe she would have received better care if she had no insurance. Go to the Tijuana, Mexico emergency room before you come here.

The staff I encountered on each day was very friendly & accommodating. That was comforting but I was in the hospital for one week. Proper documentation was not kept, testing that should have been ordered & completed based upon my condition was not done. I had to demand to be discharged after telling them my attorney was on the way. They could not provide my request for a written letter as to why I needed to stay in the hospital from the doctor in charge of my stay. I never even met him. I believe I was kept longer than necessary because I have good health insurance. Very disappointed overall.

The ER check in girls were very rude. The doctor was great in the ER. It took so long to get a room. The room was very dirty. It was so discussing. I do understand it is old but still so dirty. The nurse was fake. It took 3 hours to get a cup of coffee. It took over 8 hours to get a bare minimum pain pill. I never did receive all of my medications. Night nurse was very nice and apologetic when he couldn’t get back to me right away. I woke up with a sinus headache because I didn’t get my medication but bared with it for the stress test. I told them I had a headache but one girl never stopped talking and my headache got worse. So many things were uncomfortable it would have been nice to have someone care. I felt so neglected. The worst part I saved for last. I use a walker and am at risk for falling but after telling the nurse multiple times she ignored me and I was left on my own to make it to the restroom. If I would have fallen it would be your responsibility. I will avoid this hospital in the future. Almost anywhere would be better.

Had surgery and Summerlin hospital treated me very well. Maggie in the OR was great, Jeff-RN in PACU was phenomenal and was comforting knowing he was a fellow Vet. My room was a private room that was huge with a view of Red Rock Canyon. John-RN on 5 West was really good. Rickell night RN treated me well. Adriana the CNA was supernice and I would highly recommend this hospital to anyone needing surgery. Food was decent as well. Everything from registration to discharge was very smooth.

It was a an overall good experience. My first nurse her name was Gina, she made me feel comfortable and even shared some of her own testimonies. I could tell she was genuine and not burnt out from doing her job. This is important to me as that is not so often these days. The staff who pushed me into the operating room were also alert and professional. I have always had a good experience here when it comes to surgery. Thank you Summerlin hospital staff in the outpatient part of the hospital, you all did great!

I was treated as an emergency in A& E. It transpired I had an acute attack of diverticulitis which was exceedingly painful. I was admitted and immediately given pain relief and antibiotics. Whilst being treated the staff were more than wonderful and in 9 days of being an in-house patient I can only give a 5 star review for everyone. Room was very adequate with a pleasant view.

I was in the emergency room Wednesday night and later admitted to the hospital. I had the most marvelous experience, except for being sick, of course. The entire staff on the sixth floor was amazing two nurses in particular were so wonderful, their names are Melanie. She’s a night nurse and the other one is Corina. She works in the daytime. I really actually didn’t even almost want to leave they were so kind to me. They took such good care of me.

The hospital staff from the head nurse in the surgical center to the MA were all fantastic. The 4 nurses that took care of me in my room, Nicole and her student and another nurse with her redhead trainee were all awesome. Both MA's including the young man and a few women who took my blood were all great. I felt like I was their only patient they had. I recommend this hospital for your surgical needs. I also love the entire team in the cardiac operating room. They took special care to keep me calm before my surgery while prepping me. Priscilla in administration was fantastic and informative. Thank you all

Worst experience. All they care about is their bottom line dollars. After 10 days, I never once was able to talk to an actual doctor. Terrible!! I would never recommend this hospital!!! They are the worst and they do not listen to anything you say. My ex-husband has been in the hospital since last Sunday. been telling them since last Sunday to stop drugging him and take out the tube. They have him sedated because it makes it easier on them. I have full power of attorney for him and so I am his voice and yet not one person has listened to anything I’ve asked. Worst off the doctor has not talked to me once and he's been there eight days. Yeah completely dysfunctional hospital that keeps patients in so they can collect revenue. Anybody reading this let me know who is a good attorney to call. I have one in to somebody but I want the best in town! I'm going after them, this is not right and they're holding him against my will and now his. He's asked them to stop sedating him and yet while I was there they sedated him again after I told them not to. I finally had a nurse today on the eighth day if you can believe it talk to her she was wonderful she was great she was nice. However the bottom line is they should've never intubated them in the first place they did the second day when I got there they should've listen to me and taken it out they didn't and so now he has pneumonia. They gave him pneumonia. He needs to come home and I just I don't know what else to do anymore I'm at a loss but this is on Summerlin Hospital.

Doctors nurses and staff are wonderful. But you leave patients in patients area without family support without food and water for over four hours while people with broken bones, bleeding in head, me in the case extreme inflammation in my both eyes were burning lost eye sight. I couldn't even call for help cause I couldn't see. Never felt so vulnerable. I understand you are busy hospital and maybe under staffed. But better organization can be done at least keep the patients updated informed at least comforted. I was appreciating my doctor after four hours finally attend to me realizing I had burning eyes without vision did her best to find a dark room to do the test look into my eyes which no room was available. But she didn't give up but found a corner of another patient room with curtain divider yo take care of me. Ask me do I care. So management need to step up. Your staff is working hard. It's up to you to make it more efficient without Turning patients away or let us wait for four hours when we need care in emergency room.

The intensive care unit staff was excellent. Nurses, Dr's, assistants everyone. The emergency room staff was not very good. Had asked for several things and never received them. Had rang the call button for assistance with something and didnt get no response so i tried to get up and fell down banging my face which is still soar today. Staff took no consideration of me trying to sleep and constantly talking loud , laughing , wishing people goodnight when leaving. The worst part is no one gave my wife and 11 year old daughter any information on me from 7pm until 2 am. They were in the waiting room for all that time and kept asking for updates and all they were told was a nurse will be out. Well they never came. They were more interested in laughing and talking outside my room. Very disappointed with initial interaction with staff and if I have an option the next time I need medical care it will be in another facility.

Had my first baby here on Wednesday and I thought it was a pleasant experience. I was extremely nervous and scared but the l&d nurses really made sure I was comfortable and consistently checked on me and supported me. Huge shout out to Tim for being nice and helpful. I will say once I had my baby there was a shift change and I felt kind of forgotten about (they’re busy and catching up, i understand) but I was left needing to go to the bathroom and it took a long time for anyone to come help and move us to the postpartum room. Once in the postpartum room the nurses circulated less frequently but were still helpful.

Summerlin Hospital was a great experience for my biopsy. I hope to have my surgery there too. The nurses are top notch and very friendly. Even the security guard who watched out for my wallet and cell phone was friendly and helpful. It is a very good hospital. I would recommend anyone who is having a procedure done to choose this hospital

My family and I had a wonderful experience with Summerlin's labor and delivery unit! From the doctors to the labor nurses and the nurses in postpartum care, everyone was wonderful, caring and compassionate. Just a couple of days before my induction date, I went into L&D for reduced fetal movement and was immediately rushed back for monitoring. The team was great and took care of me and baby for the couple of hours we were there. Induction day went smooth, and the staff made sure my husband, mom and I were as comfortable as possible -- the rooms were nice, too. After our little girl was born, everyone took amazing care of her and myself. We can't thank the birthplace's staff enough! Highly recommend this hospital for labor and delivery.

Southwest medical - Summerlin hospital Delivery and pediatric unit- First off if your lucky enough to get Dr. Vega she will take great care of you. I had a rough pregnancy followed by a difficult delivery that resulted in an emergency C-section which would of been very traumatic but luckily it wasn't thanks to her and the medical staff. I'm so fortunate that I fought until I got a good obgyn. She's absolutely worth it. Wonderful doctor. The anesthesiologist Dr. Chaun Li was also amazing and quick I'm terrified of needles and he made it quick and painless, very calming guy. The medical staff, every one of the nurses is absolutely amazing and they work really well together as a team. I hate to admit it but I absolutely miss all of them, even the wild ones. :) You can't help but love them they work so hard to take care of you and your baby. They all have different tips and tricks and nothing is off topic or tmi.. I love them all to bits. 💕 The pediatrician on staff was Dr. Proenza and he was accompanied by a student and they were so helpful and informative. One time I forgot a question to ask and I buzzed the nurses and I requested he come back and they did very quickly. Very very nice Dr. We will be keeping him. 😄 LASTLY the dietary staff is extremely nice and helpful. The cafeteria is very affordable and has some gems. Peet's coffee is super good and it's down by the gift shop across from the emergency entrance.. The iced dark cherry with an extra shot of espresso was good and deemed necessary... My husband said it was a saving grace. Also in the caffeteria the frozen yogurt is strawberry and vanilla but totally tastes like birthday cake? 🎂 Lol not complaining. Oh oh also the dietary staff will make sure that if you have allergies you are taken care of and fed well. At worst the food is sometimes mediocre but mostly its pretty good food 😋. I don't consider the food bad at all actually. Oh also on the mother and baby unit they had a room for snacks with a water and ice machine. They called it the nourishment room.. it has good snacks like chocolate and vanilla ice cream. Juices and jellos. LASTLY AGAIN - Dr Maligaya is really good too. Very upbeat and attentive. Literally remembers everything and doesn't miss a beat .. EVER Also the high-risk doctor I had - Dr. Wilkes. He is just the quickest to write referrals and get things done very very nice man very nice and positive. Listens really well. 👨‍⚕️👩‍⚕️ 👍👍 I had a positive experience delivering my baby here. I'm extremely thankful and happy.

From the time I entered your care until my departure, I felt as though I couldn't have been in better hands. As an unusual case, I was treated with the utmost care at every turn. Coming in with all indicators suggesting a coronary artery failure, having an invasive procedure only to find an abnormality in my anatomy causing the issue, receiving proper medical attention and released within 38 hours. The ICU nurses perform at such a high level it's hard to imagine a better, more thorough environment for the healing process. I have been in several ICU environments, this was by far the best I have ever experienced. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

I LOVED my labor and delivery nurses!! Their names are Jessie, Lisa, and Gabby. They made my entire experience SO GOOD. They are great nurses that confidently answered my questions, showed genuine empathy, and calmed my fears about giving birth for the first time. I truly felt that they cared about me as a person, not that I was just a patient on their list for the night/day. I LOVED having my baby at this hospital because of them and I’m going to request them for my next babies!!

The staff, nurses and anesthesiologist here are AMAZING. Everyone is so kind even if they are not directly working with you. I was so nervous and they helped me feel so relaxed and talked me through everything. After my surgery they gave me crackers and drink and made sure I was not in pain and comfortable. Helped me get dressed, to the bathroom. They helped me through it all. I cannot say it enough how amazing they are and how much I appreciate it and thank them !

Going to an ER is not fun and mostly scary. I arrived and was greeted by a caring receptionist who was interested in getting me settled in as quickly as possible. From there I met the Triage Nurse who listened to me and was very kind and gentle. From there I was taken to the lab by a delightful Tech. The next person I met was Dr. Jesser. It's been a very long time since I've had such a wonderful doctor. My questions were answered, my fears were alleviated and the diagnosis was not as bad as I had been led to believe by my primary care physician. When I was processed out of the ER the lady was as nice and compassionate as all the other people I had encountered. I'd like to let the staff know how much I appreciated the excellent care I received.

I had the most wonderful doctor and nurses! They were the sweetest people with the greatest vibes. I am happy with how I was treated. Dr. El-Eid is a beautiful person in and out. She reassured me everything will be alright. My nurses Gigi and this other nurse her name started with a “K” I feel bad I can’t remember (Karina or Karen maybe, sorry if I’m way off, she deserves recognition too!), but I met her post operation & I gave her a hug when she helped me to my car, they both were amazing and went out of their way to comfort me in anyway possible. I am grateful for this team. I truly appreciate their efforts as this was a scary procedure for me removing a tumor from my breast. Everyone deserves a raise! Thank you summerlin team and those who helped with my procedure. I love you guys! <3 virtual hugs to all!!

I had my baby at this hospital and the staff is beyond amazing. Literally every person that entered my room was so polite and caring. Nurses, doctors, dietary, even housekeeping. Best experience I’ve ever witnessed. I recommend everyone to have their baby there if they can. Would give more than 5 stars if I could.

Leah was my nurse on the 5th floor on 12/27/2021. She is the most amazing nurse ever! I was so upset to be admitted after having had the same surgery 6 times (I never had to stay overnight before, and it was just the new protocol, according to my doctor). Leah was very attentive, caring, and friendly. She noticed that there was no reason I needed to be there any longer and was able to get me discharged that evening. I slept so peacefully in my own bed that night!! I am very grateful to Leah and her caring nature. She is a wonderful nurse!!

Except for the 20 hour wait at ER Registration area for an available room, I got to observe how the personnel are doing their very best. I really appreciate all the medical staffs efforts and patience to accommodate my needs. They’re the HEROES in Pandemic America…

Even though the hospital was totally maxed out on beds due to original Covid-19 and the Delta and Omicron variants when I came to the Emergency Room and was subsequently admitted to the hospital, I received excellent care. The staff was upbeat, polite, responsive and thorough in their treatment and continuously worked to upgrade my situation as beds became available in the ER, then overflow and finally a room. No matter where I was located, I was impressed with the outstanding hospital staff at all levels from the receptionist, triage, processing, evaluation, support and treatment. I would highly recommend Summerlin Hospital Medical Center.

All the staff in L&D are super sweet and caring. They made sure both my husband and I were comfortable and had everything we needed during our stay with them. They don’t hesitate to help when you need something, they are all willing to educate you on things you ha r questions about and not to mention they crack a few jokes here and there to lighten the mood while your in pain. I felt super comfortable and wouldn’t want to give birth anywhere else! They treat you like family here!

The labor and delivery ward is wonderful. Great doctors and nurses. The supportive staff really went above and beyond to make my family and myself comfortable. Recovery with my new born was a great experience as well. These women really know their stuff and keeping baby healthy and happy is their number 1 priority.

My experience with the staff at Summerlin Hospital was awesome and the best I’ve had comparing with others! From the kind admission staff to the nurses in the back. The nurses are kind, caring and very respectful , they were ready to help with any need. That makes you feel so special but most of all they bring comfort and that’s very very important for all patients. I had peace throughout the whole process. Thanks to all the nursing staff that took care of me, You all are the Best! To include Dr Maranon

Nursing Staff was outstanding! Getting up to where I needed to be was Al Little confusing and the waiting area that you had to wait in before going to have the procedure’s was cold no TV and to say at best I was already nervous so the area made it worst! The reason for the 5 because once I got back to the area to have procedure it was like a different world Nursing Staff were outstanding very informative as well attentive to my concerns made me comfortable and assured me that everything was going to be okay. Everyday People handling everyday business and that! They did do their Jobs well done they earned a 5 stars ⭐️ Review.

My stay at Summerlin Hospital was great. The staff that enroll me was very professional, through and very knowledgeable. Nurse Diane escorted me to the Surgery ward and explained to me and my wife and my Son everything that I will go through during my stay. She was very through and professional. When I was taken to the surgery room, Dr Khan and his staff were great every one was thorough and professional. I had complete confidence that I was in great hands. Thanks

Wonderful customer service. Had my first baby here and the support was outstanding. They even have a team that massages you and gives breathing exercises during labor. And afterward a lactation expert helped me to breastfeed my baby for the first time.

The ER staff - everyone I encountered - were so kind and compassionate. They road with every punch with a smile and a sense of humor, Christina and Audra were just outstanding in their care and concern. Audra so beautifully dismissed some embarrassing leakage I had. Christina is the queen of the place. Amazing at her job. And the doctor - forgive me for not remembering his name - was so on it, communicated with me in a most compassionate way, and had to stay late to get test results. While I didn’t love being in an ER for hours on end, your team made it the best it could be. Thank you so much to all of them

My nurse Ana was absolutely amazing and made my stay very comfortable. This was my first surgery ever and they made me feel understood, heard and comfortable. I had so much fear before this surgery and after my surgery was over I was so relieved because they made it so easy to be comfortable and out of my stress bubble. Truly Ana was the absolute best to have on top of my amazing surgery crew.

Zero stars is more appropriate. The staff on the Intermediate Care floor did not exhibit a caring attitude nor were they responsive to the patient’s needs nor requirements. Tests and procedures could not be relied upon to happen as scheduled and were often delayed by several hours for simple blood tests. It got so bad that I was forced to leave the facility and seek care elsewhere despite the significance of my condition.

The nurses were amazing! The doctor didn't ask any questions, only ran tests based off of one comment I made and didn't look into the issue before releasing me. And worst of all judged me for not wanting pain medication and wanted to tough through the pain because I had driven there, have kids and a full time job that I needed my brain for. Either way all in all this hospital is lovely, quick and the nurses and other staff were very efficient so I appreciate all of them for their time and concern.

I was treated with attentive care by all staff, starting from the check in workers, nurses, x-ray technician and last but no least the doctors. This might be the cleanest hospital I’ve ever been to. Despite patients vomiting, the cleaning crew was there to clean up quickly which makes the visit more tolerable. Waiting time can be extensive, but other than that 10/10.

I had the best nurse ever!! Nurse Linda was so kind and attentive. The wait time was excessive I was in the waiting room for two hours because my back pain was at the lower end of the urgent scale but turns out I had a fractured back. Nurse Linda came out a few times and saw me crying my eyes out and she took it upon herself to get me into a room and be seen. If it wasn’t for her I’d be waiting even longer than 2 hours. Once I was in the room she made sure I was comfortable and brought my pain level down immediately all while giving me the best hospitality I’ve ever received. She’s truly a gem and her soul is very pure! You can tell her patients are her top priority. This hospital is very lucky to have someone like her. Thank you nurse Linda! The doctors were great as well with the diagnosis, the after care explanation and having concerns about the fracture being unstable. Luckily it is a stable fracture but I appreciate them looking into everything before discharging me.

Staff was very friendly and very efficient. Everything had a rhythm and everything went exactly as stated to me. I really enjoyed the friendliness of the nurses. They were not short with me they had conversation with my wife and I. They actually had heated blankets which was super cool. The admins that walked me through the process were very efficient and answered all of my questions.

The staff that has been providing my care are the finest group of people I've ever experienced in a hospital. They understand that illness is a mind-body experience. The two cannot be separated. The emotional aspect of illness is as important as the physiological. There is a focus on the emotional comfort, the fear factor that is part of being hospitalized, and the heartfelt compassion of these people make the unbearable bearable. I have made relationships with my care staff that I truly treasure. I am so very grateful for each and every one of them.

Very professional from check in to check out. Reception was friendly and helpful. Pre-op were all fab, we shared a lot of laughs. EVERY staff member was very personable and put my anxiety at ease. GG was day of nurse, did all that nurse stuff effortlessly, and then we spent the time up to surgery laughing, then she passed me to Nallah who was personable and professional. Lots of people smiling in this joint. Must love their jobs! The nurse that wheeled me to the car added two items to my discharge instructions per my request, she informed my husband that he must do as I say and rub my feet. 😜

Going for colonoscopy. Good luck getting directions to Surgery entrance. Irritated sounding women on the phone simply gave me address (instead of "drive in main entrance, turn right, follow drive around until you see the big Surgery entrance sign"). I pre-registered to save time. Didn't save much time as pre-registration was very incomplete, and registration person initially didn't know I was pre-registered. Nice person in the registration area came around to everyone and gave them information about waiting for the patient during the procedure, including my wife (drive home). Told her she could do her waiting in registration area and other areas of the hospital (including cafeteria). Next we went to the specific colonoscopy waiting room. A cramped ugly room with not a whole lot of chairs and distance between them. And, hardly anyone wearing masks. When they finally called me in for surgery prep my wife was told they would come back and get her as soon as I was settled in. They never came back for her. Consequently, not knowing what to do, she spent her total waiting time in the dingy room. All the personnel in the surgery area (my doctor, anesthesiologist, nurses, etc.) were pleasant and informative. All in all, based on my experience here compared to other hospitals I would not recommend Summerlin.

I've been here in the past for my first child's birth, having to bring her back for jaundice treatment in pediatric ER, my own experience in ER, and going up to labor and delivery triage for contractions in my current pregnancy. Every time I come back the care gets better. I might have rated it a 3 or 4 stars back in 2016, but after my latest experience I'm giving it 5 stars. The nurses, especially the ones up in labor and delivery and pediatric unit, are some of the best people and nurses. Ashley in L&D (who I saw the most of as the day nurse in the large portion of my stay on observation) was an absolute treat this latest visit and seemed to care about me and what I was saying. I'd love to have her bedside when I go in to have my baby. Hospital is clean, easy to navigate, and has a nice vibe and open feeling to it, which can't be said for other hospitals in Clark County in the Las Vegas area. Food during my stay was OK, but not really an important factor to me so it doesn't have an effect on my rating. This isn't a restaurant, after all. Overall, this is the hospital I would choose to go to and I'm glad it is an option for me.

Got to give all these ✨⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨⭐️⭐️⭐️ to John B in the emergency room. He was so attentive he cared for me and like 10 other patients at the same time. I’m still in the hospital and I still keep asking where he is but it’s his off day. I finally got into a Private Room and my Upstairs nurses are great to Kae and Ann they are making sure I’m doing well.🙏🙏🙏🙏 I had one lady yell at me she said I’m not a nurse I’m a speech therapist I was so mad because I had to use the bathroom and she tried to stop me from unhooking my Blood Pressure Cuff if your not a nurse you should have moved out the way so I could make it to the bathroom. Besides her and what she could not do I have been doing great I feel so much better then when I first got here. Thank you Summerlin Hospital for Saving my life.💕💕🚑

From the moment we- arrived for outpatient admission until my subsequent discharge later that day, I was treated courteously and professionally by the Summerlin Hospital staff. The post-surgical results have been very positive. I have only two observations that prevented my awarding five stars for my experience: - I was notified by telephone message that there had been a cancellation that required my arrival and my surgery one hour prior to the original schedule. Unfortunately, the scheduling complexity eventually postponed the surgical procedures by several hours, necessitating adjustment and cancellation of original events. - Although procedures are common to nursing staff and medical personnel, the patient is less familiar with terminologies and procedures. Perhaps a brief question to verify understanding might be beneficial before moving on to the next assignment would both increase patient comprehension and compliance?

Before I got admitted to the hospital I was sitting out in the waiting room in the ER In the evening seeing order after order of domino's pizza coming in for patients in the hospital. I decided because my dietary restrictions it allowed to order the pizza from the is the hospital's kitchen. I thought the pizza at the hospital was quite good! Surprisingly better than some other things on the menu, I wouldn't waste my own money ordering domino's pizza that is cold and old before you get it. When you could get a fresh pizza from the kitchen at the hospital delivered up to your room. Sorry the photo wasn't a fresh one but I wanted to make sure did it was good before I even started this.

DANA R (triage nurse in ER) is hands down the worst nurse and person I have ever met. So sad to see such a jaded nurse in her position, to lack empathy and not advocate for patients , she chose the wrong profession and unfortunately patients have to receive care from her. After I started my ER experience off with her I was seated in a waiting room full of patients hooked to iv poles and holding there own lab bags (many full of urine), there is ZERO PRIVACY!!! Medications, IV all things you sit in the waiting room, I heard everyone’s diagnosis etc. Goodbye HIPPA, my CT results we’re read in front of 50 people in the waiting room… I sat next to TWO covid positive people (a nurse came out in a full body suit and papper) who could barely breath hooked up to IVF sitting in the waiting room. Absolutely unreal. I never thought a hospital could get away with this, having staff like DANA, and putting that amount of sick people in a room with ZERO PRIVACY!!!!

As soon as walking into the emergency room I always get attended quickly. I never wait more than 5 minutes to get called by the front desk. Everyone has always been efficient and very nice at this hospital. The place always looks clean. I feel like they always care about my emergency and always feel at ease being here. I live about 20 minutes away from this place but It is always worth the drive for me because the way I am treated. Thank you! :)

I've been hospitalized here way more than I should be - the results of a mis-spent youth. I've ALWAYS received top of the line care at this facility. I've meant to do reviews for all of the outstanding people who work here, but I keep forgetting. From my most recent stay, I'd love to give a particular shout-out to nurses Laz, Joseph and Tarika. For CNA's there's Mark, Ana...and my special favorite, Queenie. She's caring and compassionate, as they all are, but she's also very kind-hearted and always finds time to listen to a lonely old veteran. Even the cafeteria staff is great. Michael is a great individual, with Danny also doing a wonderful job. All in all, I'd rate this hospital higher if possible. They're all going above and beyond in these trying times of Covid-19.

Had to visit summerlin hospital ER. The visit took probably close to 3 hrs. The triage nurse was fast end got my information in quickly. The doctor saw me within probably 20 minutes of me being there. He took me in and did a quick assessment and made his evaluation for treatment. I waited about an hour and a half for discharge to be able to leave. Busy place and Doc was great! Need to streamline their discharge process.

The great "majority" of the emergency room night staff were very nice, friendly, cordial and professional. and put me at ease during a very scary time. The initial person who checked me in to ER was the only brief moment where I encountered a very cold and unsympathetic reception. The lady looked at me, did not acknowledge me, and turned away from me without even having the courtesy to say anything like, "I will be with you shortly" or any of those phrases that shows that you are aware that someone is waiting. In an emergency room that did not appear to be overwhelmed, understaffed, or very busy, that is the least that someone can do to put your mind at ease in what a patient might perceive as an emergency situation. Other than that, I appreciate the kind service members and staff of the Summerlin Medical Center night time ER group.

Amazing staff, nurses and doctors. Best hospital in the Vegas Valley hands down. Everyone was so professional and comforting. Made me feel secure and relaxed before my surgery. The nurses were so gentle and helpful. Truly recommend this hospital for all your medical needs.

My baby girl came down with RSV. it was between this hospital or sunrise. I am so happy we came here. We ended up being admitted for about a week. Molly, our Night nurse in the PICU was one of the sweetest nurses. Courtney, Lisa you guys were great as well! Molly just really made my nights of going delusional so much easier. She’s a travel nurse but such a gem. Any hospital that gets her is so lucky. I am so grateful that we had her our first 3 nights.

I went to the ER and overall my experience was ok. The nurses and doctor that I saw were very nice and professional. I am incredibly disappointed in the fact that I had to sit in the waiting room the whole time!! You don’t get a room, they wheel you back to give you meds or whatever and then send you back out into the waiting room. And you’re sitting there with people who are hacking and coughing and have symptoms of Covid. Not to mention the potential for breach of HIPAA!!

After my surgery my recovery was on the 6th floor of the hospital. I met some amazing ladies who are passionate about there job a care so much about their patients. Michelle, Jean & Jen the CNA with such a great personality and so friendly. Noely, Jewel & Corina nurses with pride in their work and took great care of me. There was also a housekeeper I missed her name but she has worked for the hospital since they opened 20+ yrs just sweetie heart so polite and kind. Thank you for help me to get back home to my family.❤Monica

In whole different state. No negative comments. Excellent services. 5 stars even higher. If I had to go to hospital, hope it would be this one again. Praying I don’t have to, very very organized.💕

I am sorry but, those who have not delivered a baby in Mountain View Hospital…do not know what they are missing. I love Mountain View Hospital service there than here! All the way! They are better prepared and more attentive to your needs after birth. The food after post-partum is also WAY better. I love how they have everything you need for baby organized and they tell you where everything is and they take better care of you. Plus WAY easier to find the damn entrance!! Do not recommend this hospital at all!!!

The emergency room personal were super. They listened and did what they could to get me seen. The emergency room staff is overwhelmed with COVID as is every emergency room. The staff on the cardiac floor was also tremendous. The were professional, attentive, smart and the best!!! This hospital is an A++++. They have the technology and the professionals to make you better. "PS: to clients get your COVID Vaccine, Protect out health care workers"

I have never been more proud of a Hospital as I am of the nurses & doctors at Summerlin Hospital. I was in the Emergency Rm right next to Triage and the waiting rm was packed with People. They Triaged & Dr.’s seen patients in the waiting rm. Many People said Thank You, but to many were hateful & nasty to the staff. They handled it like Professionals. I was there 27 hrs, and I got to see and hear a lot. I hope the management of the Hospital appreciates all of these workers. Thank you to everyone that helped me…

The post op nurses and or nurses were the kindest people ever. The help me to calm down before my surgery. Gave abundant information to me. The recovery nurse was kind to meet after I kept falling asleep. Dr. Bartholomew and the anesthesiologists were excellent bedside manners. Everything was explained to me and if I had questions big or small the took the time to answer. In the most professional way.great staff

I had a great experience while at Summerlin Hospital for my outpatient procedure. The nurses and the anesthesiologist were caring and kind. They explained everything to me as they were getting me ready for my surgery. The nurse who took care of me before surgery made sure I was comfortable and answered any questions my son or I had. The doctor explained the procedures she would be doing and that I might need surgery again in the future. I was a little stressed about having surgery on my thumb/hand. The nurse and anesthesiologist assured me that I was in good hands which helped me relax and know that I was being taken good care of. The nurse I had after surgery was also kind and caring. She ensured I was well taken care of and helped me get ready to go home. She explained to my son how to care for me once he took me home. I felt safe and was well taken care of during my outpatient surgery. Someone from the hospital called to check on me the following day and ensured I had a follow-up appointment with my doctor. I would recommend outpatient surgery to be performed at Summerlin Hospital. Their staff and medical professionals are respectful, polite. caring, and kind. Thank you for a great experience.

The recovery floor has been amazing, but the ER was completely unacceptable. I came in at 9am with severe abdominal pain and I was never offered a pain medication or a bed for more than 9 hours! I sat in an uncomfortable chair in the waiting room, with nothing to help with my pain. Come to find out my appendix was on the verge of rupturing and I ended up in surgery at 9:00pm! My appendix could have burst while I was sitting there waiting for help! The surgical nurses even told me that was completely unacceptable that the ER had me sit there in pain for that long. I live closer to Centennial Hills hospital but drove to Summerlin because the service has always been great in years past, but this has spoiled my opinion of the ER in this hospital. Nobody should have to sit with a 10 out of 10 pain for that many hours without some kind of assistance - and trust me, I asked!!

As a new resident of Clark County and new employee at a law firm in Town Center, I embarrassingly found myself bolting out of my chair at work on Tuesday morning (8/23/22), literally fleeing to the nearest ER, experiencing symptoms that are similar to passing a kidney stone. If you’ve been through this, you know it will overcome you from literally out of nowhere. You go from normal to rabid dog mode in 2.5 seconds. Turns out I was diagnosed with a worse condition: a gigantic kidney infection that required hospitalization to treat properly. What I can relay as a patient who started out in incredible right side front and back flank pain, is that the staff at this ER and Hospital are AMAZING. They care about their patients. They work hard to get you back on track and feeling better. I was exposed to the care standards and practices of front desk staff, Registration Admin, ER Vampires (they draw lots and lots of blood), ER nurses, ER Nurse support staff (aka Nurse Ninja), ER Physicians, CT Scan and Ultrasound testing teams, Hospital Nurses, Hospital Nurse support staff, Hospital Vampires, (who also draw lots and lots of blood), Hospital Physicians, Hospital Food Service Staff, and Hospital House Keeping staff. The common thread between all my exposure to each person who took care of me for nearly four days and three nights was one of CARE. Additionally, my Hospital attending physician made time to respond to my need to talk before being discharged and gave me the guidance I sought for continuing care upon my release. No emergency situation will ever feel fantastic or wonderful because it’s a painful, awful, and horrible time for all patients. There are lots of patient personalities that are unpleasant. The staff remains steadfastly compassionate and caring, anyway. I can say that taking your emergency here will improve your situation and will give you exactly what you need to move forward towards living your best life. Well done Summerlin Hospital Medical Center ER & Hospital Teams. Well done! Thank you!

Have used Summerlin Hospital for all 3 of my deliveries in 2018, 2020 & 2022. Have always had a great experience with all the staff and nurses. Our last nurse Rubie in postpartum was awesome. Really enjoyed having her take care of us. Also had the pleasure of seeing one of our nicu nurses Wendy who took care of our twins almost 5 years ago. She was amazing too.

All went well, sadly me being a veteran I asked a nurse when can my wife have something to drink? 1st reply |I'll get back to you shortly." I asked her what is the official definition of shortly? Her reply less than 2 hours. The ? was asked after my wife was in Emergency Room for 4-5 hours. The nurse NEVER comeback. I asked another nurse the same ? Her reply "I'll get back at you." NEVER got reply. Finally the attending Dr advised me "Just in case you wife was a surgical candidate no food or water, now she can have some." It was a easy reply we just want to know. This ER visit was a hell of a lot better. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK

The staff is great and ER doctor was fantastic. Less critical patients (like myself - broken toe) are kept in the front waiting room and called back as needed. Good care considering how busy they were. Parking is a major challenge for ER visitors.

Came in because of body aches, throwing up and I had an infection on my foot. They attempted to discharge me with just an ointment without proper testing. I asked to speak to a doctor. Then she became visibly annoyed that I had asked for a blood exam and further testing. Would rather not get too personal but then I waited for 4 hours in a freezing room with other people until I finally asked what was going on. Then they brought me my discharge papers. Only to find that I didn’t even get an antibiotic. SMH, I’d rather go to a quick care next time.

Horrible care. Lack of empathy. No attempt to make patient’s comfortable. Watched staff basically ignore, disregard and not tend to basic reasonable requests of patients. Cattle call triage room with no privacy. WORST hospital care I have ever had. No wonder your national ratings are so so. I’m truly appalled and disgusted.

Going to the ER and being admitted to the hospital is always a stressful experience - physically and emotionally; however, my family and I could not have been treated better by the nurses and doctors in the ER, the Progressive Care unit and finally, in the normal hospital wing before being discharged. I was treated with utmost care, the doctors and nurses were thorough, caring, and kept me informed every step of the way. My family and I are eternally grateful for the care I received. There is no doubt, medical professionals are angels on earth. Eternally grateful, ILH

Worst hospital EVER!!! My mom went here in an ambulance with pneumonia. She was on 4South (4th floor South) where most of the nurses were new grads, with VERY little experience. The floor was short staffed the entire time my mom was in the hospital which was almost a month! My mom almost died multiple times due to incompetence and negligence. My mom was a nurse for 48 years and there were 2 code blues right next to her room. The nurses were yelling at each other and my mom was scared! My mom thought she was going to die multiple times. What an extremely stressful experience for a patient!!!! We were so lucky that my brothers wife is a nurse and provided oversight. If she wasn’t there to manage the nursing staff, my mom would have died. On one of many unfortunate occasions, one of the nurses was going to take my mom to a chest x-ray on a different floor with no O2. She was currently on 4 liters of oxygen and her O2 saturation was 86. I’m VERY grateful and fortunate we had our own experienced nurse and that my mom made it out alive. Do NOT let your loved ones go to this hospital if you want them to live! Whoever is managing this team on 4South should be fired!!!

Of all hospitals I've ever been in the United States this hospital is number one on my list not only for the reason for the medical but because of the staff the staff made it hear more pleasant than any other hospital I've ever been to they treat you with the most greatest respect you'll ever be treated. I had an unfortunate accident happened and every hospital I went to came to determination that they were going to amputate my arm But not here here they told me that they were gonna save my finger save my hand and everything was going to be OK and they did just that because of this hospital I'm able to continue my business continue my future and I am proud to say that there are 5 stars by far the best hospital I have ever been to Also one more thing about this hospital my housekeeper she was such an excellent housekeeper and I hope that she knows with all my heart yes she was the kindest person and I wish her the very best in life I wish I would have gotten her name but if you read this know I am very thankful for your conversations thankful For the person that you are and know that wherever your son is he must be very proud of the mother that you are.

The front desk/nurses/staff were great, I had 1st gone to ER and then transferred to hospital for surgery. Doctors were great too except for one issue the day of discharged. I was there for one night so most of the doctors came in and talked to me early in AM when I was still out of it (pain meds). I wish I could get a generic email/text about the conversation. By mid-day it felt like I was being kept there because of a certain amount time for me to be there rather than being discharged. It seemed like there was a break down on when I could go home, one of the surgery doctors and hospital doctor didn’t communicate prior and I received conflicting information. I did mention it but I still feel like the lack of communication was an issue. Mostly since my records should have indicated everything that was communicated to me and by whom. ***update - I was contact my a hospital rep to review the miscommunication, I appreciated being heard and I hope it’s something that the hospital staff can be mindful of.

The staff here are very friendly and gentle. I'm a hard stick for drawing blood and they took their time with each poke to make the process easier. I would give 5 stars but because of the long wait times and the Drs giving me different information about my case I can only give a 3. I left feeling much better but a little confused on my situation.

  • 1/5 RiggerSkis 7 months ago on Google
My ER experience was absolutely terrible. Started out OK. Had blood drawn, urine, ultrasound, and CT done on my upper right abdomen in the first 3 hours. Then came the real wait. 5-1/2 hours later still no results from radiology. Spent the whole 8-1/2 hrs in the waiting room. No communication from staff. Had to pin them down for questions and was told to wait or leave AMA. Meanwhile dozens of COVID patients are in and out and all around you in the waiting room. Left without seeing the doctor. The following day I pulled all the labs/tests/imaging off the patient portal to another provider. We’ll never return to Summerlin Hospital. ER is a good measuring stick by which to judge how a facility is run. This was my worst ER experience and I’m a cancer survivor in my 50’s. I’ve been around a bit.

Came by ambulance, took awhile before i was attended to. The EMS held my hand the whole time. So sweet. Once in a room, my nurse was awesome!! They worked fast to get exrays and promptly took care if my every need. Shift changed and i will say nurse was very short and none communicative if discharge, and a male nurse gave me crutches and did not adjust them they were at different lengths. I just felt the rushed me out after my exrays showed my hip was not broke, they became un empathetic. So, i went from getting great care to a feeling of a being nothing. I gave 4 stars because I dont know if it was the staff after shift change or if it was generally the Hospital and i was just lucky in the beginning of my visit.

My experience with er , was far below average! The admitting area forgot about me being there and waiting multiple times. When the doctor was waiting for my urine test results , my sample was still sitting at their desk almost 3 hours later. I sat there in extreme kidney pain and the people at the desk were very lax about patient compassion, this is where having a voice for yourself is very important. Once I got past the front , my treatment was exceptional , until I got to ct the gentleman in charge at ct needs a change of career if he is that miserable! He puts off such an angry personality. All of my nursing staff from er to being admitted was top notch! I can’t say enough about the nurses!!! I also was very pleased with the PA and the DR that treated me while at the hospital. I was however disappointed in the cleanliness of the restroom at er and the er waiting room. Trash was everywhere in the waiting room. And the ladies room was filthy. Very sad for such a pretty hospital.

I had a nurse in the maternity triage named Andrea, she was no good. She was very rough. She seemed to be new at this type of work but in my opinion, she needs more training. She struggled with the I.V. and said she'd do things that she didn't do. Between her and the doctor, I felt rushed out. They weren't genuine, I could hear them talking about me and they were talking about everything else as well. It was a very uncomfortable situation and I definitely don't want to have my baby at this hospital based on this experience.

At 26 I was diagnosed w/a fatal (if untreated) bacterial infection that had already damaged my heart valve. I was initially sent to St Vincent Heart Institute but due to my age & condition it was decided I would receive more specialized care at Good Samaritan Hospital. On arrival the nurses/staff were waiting, my room was ready, I was made to feel at ease. The doctors/surgeons came over to introduce themselves & explained everything. The whole experience was flawless: medications, tests, prep, surgery, post surgery. I woke up in ICU with nurses gently wiping my face with a warm cloth ensuring I was comfortable. My room was spotless, food of good quality and the nurses/staff were absolute angels - kind and gentle. Upon my discharge the ICU nurses came down to say goodbye & wish me well. My post hospital home care (meds, some devices, nurse) was all set up and everything was explained. Overall I received the BEST care! If I had to go back to a hospital (I hope not) I would want to be at Good Sam no questions asked. This is an excellent hospital, feel confident that you or family/friend will receive the finest care.

I had an outpatient surgery on 10/25. The treatment I got from all of the nurses was just amazing. Before surgery I was taken care by Mary and Natalie. Amazing ladies. Post op I was under the care of Sheila (from Canada). I couldn’t have been made more comfortable and taken care of. Would recommend 150%

I had to stay overnight for observation after a procedure. The staff were alright. Had issues with receiving meals. Doctor giving me medication I don't take without discussion. And a delay in discharge over a medication they say I needed to take. It took two hours to get something I already take that I could have taken way earlier at home. Nicer part of town doesn't mean better run. Just harder to get to and more expensive. For the same low quality or competency.

I came in for panic attacks and anxiety and was told I was going to get Ativan and waited 5 hours before the doctor realized I never even got it. Registration also never even got to me until I was discharged. The whole place was severely understaffed as stated by my own nurse as she apologized for never getting me the anxiety medication I needed. I ended up leaving and won't be back to this ER. Very disappointing. The staff themselves were nice but the experience was all out of order. Also the emergency waiting area was super dirty and not cleaned in what looked like ages.

I was placed in the care of the labor and delivery of Summerlin Hospital. I was very happy with the personable staff who kept a positive attitude throughout my stay. I was unfortunate enough to get hospitalized while traveling due to my high blood pressure and being a high risk pregnancy. After all was said and done I was happy to be out of Nevada and on my way home but at the same time thankful for their services! Wonderful place!

Top Notch!! All of the services and especially all of the staff members and associates made my experience a positive one. All of the facilities were very neat, clean and organized, from the Intake area of the ER, to the various radiology rooms, CT/Xray rooms, operating room, hospital rooms, hallways and various restrooms throughout. This brings me to my first associate Mariam who was my housekeeper 2-3 days she was a true pleasure to briefly interact with and did a great job cleaning and sanitizing everything. People like Mariam who properly clean and sanitize everything makes this beautiful facility and all of its equipment last longer and obviously be much more effective at remaing sterile and drastically limiting the spread of bacteria and other infectious diseases. Thank you Mariam Great job! When I first entered the ER on 10/24 at around 2pm I feel I was treated and triaged well. When I was diagnosed next a tall slender Dr with salt/pepper hair thank goodness noticed my abdomen didn’t feel quite right and sent me to get a CT scan and also some X-ray. I believe this Dr (I wish I caught his name) saved me by simply listening with an open mind, while it felt like others may have been quick to dismiss my symptoms as covid and send me on my way with some antibiotics. This Dr truly made a huge difference and potentially saved my life, I hope you can narrow it down and figure out who it was and thank him for me. Each and every specialist I went to from the various scans and X-rays to all of the doctors nurses and staff members in radiology including the staff in the operating area where they inserted the catheter into the abscess in my liver and completed the biopsy. Even though this was extremely painful my focus was on how each and every doctor nurse and staff member were so kind, knowledgeable and openly and effectively communicated with me each step of the way. Great job to the entire team! You can’t get from your room to those specialty areas without the transport team who tirelessly pushed my bed down the hall without ever complaining and I’m about 6’2” and about 350lbs so I’m not exactly easy to move but they did so seemingly with ease. One of these transport associates who stuck out to me was JD he made the move comfortable and we chatted all the way there which helped by allowing my mind less time to worry etc and instead have a good conversation. With JD’s abilities and skills I’m not at all surprised that he has been at this hospital 25 years and I am confident that this deep culture of excellence is utilized to train and grow new associates. Great job JD! Each doctor and I saw quite a few were kind and knowledgeable and took the necessary time to explain everything to me until I was comfortable I truly understood everything they were doing regarding my treatment plan. Dr Rustsnova did great communicating everything with me each and every day and took the time to make sure I had a complete and thorough understanding of what exactly has transpired and what our treatment plan is and what to expect as we move forward. Dr Spinato was an absolute pleasure to deal with, all of her explanations and instructions were clear and concise and she certainly made me feel that my health was priority over everything else. It is a very reassuring feeling when you know without a doubt you have someone like Dr Spinato advocating for you. Over the week I had so many RNs that made everything so much better with their treatment, care and understanding. A few that stand out were Angela, Sarah, and Ryan it really felt like they put patient care first and I truly appreciate them they made a huge difference. I had many CNAs throughout the week Jerome, nurse Yuki, and Phillip were a few that stood out and did a great job communicating while making sure I had everything I needed to be comfortable etc… Great Job to you all! Overall this hospital and it’s staff far exceeded my expectations. It is a beautiful facility when you pull up and it only gets better the deeper you dive into it’s inner workings the staff make all the difference!

Nice surgery center. Easy checking in. All were in time. My RN, Paige was awesome. She worked and and went beyond call of duty. She may sure we all understood post op instructions. I felt confident leaving the surgical center.

The Labor & Delivery staff were amazing. You always feel welcomed and not a bother even when you just need some closure! I love the staffs energy, especially compared to other hospitals I’ve been too by far the best staff that genuinely cares.

For the most part everyone was very nice, courteous, caring and helpful. When I was told by the doctor he was going to discharge me it took 8 hrs for things to get organized for me to be allowed to go home because of needing oxygen tanks. Then when my ride showed up at 8:30 pm to get me they didn’t have my discharge paperwork ready and was unable to answer my questions. This happened on a Friday night so now I have to wait until Monday. Things went pretty smoothly during my STAY. Not so much at time of discharge.

I found the staff to be very professional and courteous. The facilities were clean, bright and cheerful. The only complaint I have is that when I was told that a staff member would be back 'in a few minutes', it often turned into a half hour and once into an nour and a half. This can be hard on a patient who is waiting for medication or a procedure. But, all-in-all, the service was good.

Cannot express how wonderful my labor & delivery + postpartum was at summerlin! Every single staff member was nothing short of amazing and kind. This is my very first baby so I was very nervous about delivery but once I got to the hospital I never felt scared or unsafe. I felt so well taken care of, supported and truly in the hands of experts! Thank you Summerlin Hospital for such a wonderful experience!

Best nurses ever at Summerlin hospital. I have a hard time waking up from anesthesia and usually get yelled at by the nurses, but everyone here was so sweet and helpful and even told me that I could take my time waking up. A nurse in the or walked out, saw me and ran back in with a warm towel. She took one look at me and knew I was cold and everyone was just so calm and kind. Just what you need when going into a scary procedure!

Summerlin Hospital is excellent and so friendly. The hiring and training of this staff is top notch and they should be proud from the top down. My Assigned Doctor is so knowledgeable and is personal. Nursing staff is the best in every way. The support staff so friendly. Only negative was the food, eggs or French toast. Get that right and you have a hospital to model in every way!!
