Took
my
dog
for
a
dental
cleaning
on
12/2/2023
based
on
a
groupon.
Brought
her
home
around
noon.
At
approximately
8
pm,
after
a
walk,
I
saw
and
pulled
a
thermometer
plastic
sleeve
from
my
dog's
rectum
(fine
my
wife
pulled
it
out,
but
I
saw
it
first).
This
is
when
I
became
very
angry
and
started
to
think
about
all
the
issues
with
this
place
and
decided
to
talk
to
the
office
manager.
The
office
manager
was
an
extremely
nice
and
polite
young
man.
He
was
very
apologetic
and
took
a
picture
of
the
rectal
sleeve
for
his
staff
as
a
learning
lesson.
The
manager
said,
had
the
sleeve
stayed
in
my
dog's
system
and
gotten
lodged
inside,
there
could
have
been
serious
issues
for
my
dog.
I
did
ask
if
they
would
discount/refund
the
cost
of
the
cleaning
and
he
said
the
owner
said
no.
Aside
from
the
sleeve,
my
other
issues
with
the
business
(To
be
fair,
my
dog's
teeth
are
clean):

They
could
be
a
couple
I
guess
who
also
consider
many
places
their
homes.
They
both
say,
they
have
been
going
to
many
businesses
for
many
years.
Only
these
businesses
are
not
in
the
same
city
or
state.
To
be
fair,
I
only
looked
at
the
first
10
reviewers
but
found
pretty
much
the
same
patterns.
They
have
reviews
in
many
different
cities
and
states.
Some
also
buy
a

2.
When
I
picked
up
my
dog.
Her
face
was
matted
from
the
cleaning.
I
thought
it
was
just
wet,
but
later
realized
it
was
all
sticky.
Would
have
been
nice
if
they
just
used
some
water
to
clean
her
up
so
she
wouldn't
have
looked
so
beaten
up.
3.They
shaved
both
her
legs,
yet
I
only
saw
bandages
on
one.
And
when
we
took
it
off,
she
immediately
started
to
lick
her
leg.
This
licking
lasted
for
two
days.
I'm
guessing
she
was
licking
her
leg
because
of
the
pain.
4.
The
groupon
said
up
to
47%
off.
The
price
was
$175
(excluding
medicines).
That
would
make
the
normal
cost
of
a
dental
cleaning
around
$372.
Add
on
the
$146
for
medication
they
charged
me
for,
that
totals
$518.
Yet
somehow
on
their
invoice
they
give
you,
they
say
the
price
is
$792
and
you
received
a
$657
discount.
Where
did
the
$792
come
from?
5.
I
had
a
bad
feeling
after
talking
to
the
person
who
gave
me
the
initial
consult.
She
said,
my
dog
needs
to
get
2-4
teeth
pulled.
Even
if
she
needs
it,
so
glad
I
decided
not
to
get
the
teeth
pulled
here.
When
I
called
to
cancel
the
extraction
portion,
the
lady
on
the
phone
actually
said,
"If
I
don't
pull
the
teeth
at
the
same
time
as
the
cleaning,
it
could
lead
to
more
disease."
Meaning
it
had
to
be
done
at
the
same
time.
I'm
not
a
vet,
but
I
find
that
hard
to
believe.
I
totally
understand
the
need
to
do
an
extraction.
However,
saying
that
somehow
the
cleaning
alone
would
hurt
the
dog,
seems
weird.
