Cobra Kai is one of the best gyms for Jiu Jitsu. The standup training is excellent as well. I am an attorney, so I spend much of my time at a desk. Although Jiu Jitsu is very technical, and therefore mentally challenging, it is also a great workout. Considering my profession, intense physical combat is exactly what I need to balance myself after a long day at the office. In addition, for each day that I train, the work day goes by faster because I am looking forward to class that evening. I have trained long term at two of the other well known gyms in Vegas. I have also visited many of the other gyms. I previously spent most of my time kickboxing. Once I became serious about Jiu Jitsu, I found that my previous gym was lacking. I visited a number of gyms during my transition, and Cobra Kai was the only gym that I was comfortable with joining. Initially, the style of instruction by the head coach, Simpson Go, is exactly what I look for in my training. Additionally, everyone is made to feel welcome by other members of the gym. You will not find inflated egos here; everyone is willing to help each other. In regard to class structure, Sim is mentally present during every minute of class. He explains technique in easy to understand steps, and then walks around to provide additional advice. He also assigns partners during the live sparring part of class. This is in contrast to other gyms where the instructor might demonstrate a technique or direct students to spar, and then disappear for a few rounds, thereby leaving the class unsupervised. I have also found the Jiu Jitsu Fundamentals class with Rodrigo Gutierrez to be an important part of my training. Rodrigo's class reviews basic techniques that everyone needs to know. This class pairs well with the more advanced classes taught by Sim. Finally, it should be noted that the stand up training at Cobra Kai is of the same high quality as the Jiu Jitsu. I trained with both of the Hinkey brothers for a number of years at a previous gym, and I like both of their classes. They are both great instructors. In sum, if you join Cobra Kai you will not regret it.

Cobra Kai is the best place I ever trained! Sim Go and all the instructors are extremely knowledgeable and take pride in helping every single student. Another reason I love this place so much is that it’s more like a family than a team. Since the day I walked in I got nothing but love and that’s the way everyone who walks through door is treated. It don’t matter how long you been there or rank you are, everyone rolls with everyone and everyone is always helping each other when they see team mates struggling. Also the kids class is beyond amazing, they are huge part of the CK family. The instructors never miss a tournament and are always celebrating achievements or birthdays when they come around. Very happy I found this place!

Joining Cobra Kai was the best decision I've made in quite a wile. I don't really have too much experience with other gyms since this was the 1st one I joined but I have never thought about going anywhere else. Everybody who trains there is just as happy to see you getting better as they are for them self. Sim Go has a great was of teaching and is all ways great with answering any question I have had. Bottom line is that if you want to learn jiu-jitsu in Las Vegas then Cobra Kai is a great choice.

After my old professor sold his gym to Cobra kai, I wasn't sure if I was going to stay. Our old professor had a talk with us and told us the main professor Sim go, won't teach all the classes and we will have different professors on certain days ((in reality it's only 2 times a week, other than that it's Sim everyday)). We didn't like that at all. We were all use to having one professor at all times. I decided to give it a try. At first it was very intimidating, because there were A LOT of guys and some of them were big, but as I kept going, I felt more comfortable. Everybody there is really nice! They made me feel welcomed....and about having different professors, well damn, it's the best thing, I HAVE EVER experienced. All of my professors have a different bjj game, so it's very interesting learning different techniques from different black belts. I believe it has improved my jiu jitsu a lot. I am glad my old professor sold it to Cobra Kai and no one else. I HIGHLY recommend COBRA KAI!

I was travelling in from Canada and reached out to them. With a quick response to my email it felt very welcoming. When I arrived to train Sim met me at the door and showed me around. Was overall a great experience! The training was a great time as well. Getting to roll with different levels was a blast and really excellerated my learning. Everyone was very kind and has a deep love for bjj. Thank you so much to everyone at Cobra Kai! Will definitely return.

Hands down THE best gym. The base of my jiu jitsu game I can say came from here. I started learning from someone who learned from Cobra Kai and then I was able to check out where all the greatness came from. The atmosphere is so welcoming. I feel at home every time I visit. (more at home than even at my own gym) The instruction is phenomenal. Anytime I feel a slump or stuck, just going here is a breath of fresh air. After class Sim really cares to improve your game and tell you how to fix what you didn't even realize you were doing. Places I've gotten stuck I now don't get stuck anymore, the technique is absolutely top notch and works! As a woman I feel so much more empowered after training at this gym. IN fact I have used technique learned here to defend myself in a real danger situation. If I had the choice, I would train every day as much as possible at this gym. If my life could revolve around training jiu jitsu here I would do it.

Excellent place train while on vacation or if you live in Vegas. Instructors are very attentive in making sure moves are done correctly. Thanks Dave, Paul and Sam and the students for their hospitality. Very clean as well.

The quality of instruction is unparalleled and the welcoming training environment is second to none. I trained at Cobra Kai for 10 days during my visit to Las Vegas and my Jiu Jitsu game improved dramatically as a result. The instructors are beyond personable and have no reservations about showing you techniques to overcome any roadblocks you are encountering. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure your training experience is top level and the membership is comprised of quality individuals that are a pleasure to engage in the art of Jiu Jitsu with. If I were a resident of Las Vegas Cobra Kai would definitely be my full-time place to train. I look forward to training at Cobra Kai as part of my future visits to Las Vegas. A definite must!

I heard about Cobra Kai Jiu Jitsu from my coach and teammates who had visited the facility previously. They told me that they had a great experience and that head instructor Sim Go was an amazing teacher. So when I had an opportunity to train there during a visit to Las Vegas, I did no hesitate to give them a call and ask if I can possibly attend there classes while I was there. I was blown away by how welcoming there atmosphere was. It definitely felt like they we're a family. I definitely will be coming back when I visit Vegas again.

😠 A complete horror show. This gym has a terrible environment, and I am genuinely shocked that they haven't had a lawsuit yet. The 'trainer' doesn't use headgear or mouthpiece while sparring, and he also allows no stoppages or breaks in sparring so you can get hurt VERY bad. The rates for 100 a month...
