This is a great free activity to do with children. The Flamingo habitat has several Flamingos and other birds in different areas that are easy to see and have good photo experiences with. The flamingos weee interesting to watch and actually see sleeping on one leg only. The Pelican was very active and moved off of its perch to swim in the water. Sadly, it was looking for food and could not find anything to eat in the water, which was painful to see. However, I am sure enough food is provided and it didn’t seem like the bird was in happy. Things to know- you will have to either walk through the hotel to get here. It can be a bit of a distance so be prepared. Birds are active at different times of day so they may or may not be active when you are there. Look for the different bird species and also count how many turtles you find. It’s impressive where they are at. You can also view some areas from inside the hotel walk ways.

It's worth a quick stop to see the flamingos and other animals if you're nearby - it's free! There are more ducks and other birds than there are flamingos. It looks like There are keeper talks some days where they tell you things about the animals.

If you are looking for a slice of paradise look no further! Flamingo wildlife habitat should not be missed, because it is so beautiful, and relaxing it recharges your “battery” so you can enjoy the rest of your day.

Very beautiful. Unfortunately the birds were inside due to the flu outbreak. But the Koi fish were huge! Maybe 2 feet long and gorgeous.

It was a great time. I was surprised that twice a day they actually have a guide to come out and talk about the habitat and the animals. They have several different types of fish, the ancient sturgeon were my favorite. And they have several birds, flamingos and ducks etc... it really was a little oasis in the middle of chaos! I went several times and my wife went every day for the week! The turtles I believe were her favorite. I strongly suggest it to everyone, we don't have young children so it does not matter. And please don't feed any of the wildlife or throw coins in the water. Enjoy it, it really does relax the mind, in such a busy place!!!

This was such a great find. We stumbled into this exhibit. It was busy but not crowded. Really enjoyed and appreciated the no smoking signs and people respecting them. The waterfall koi pond was so peaceful and relaxing. I could have sat there for hours just watching and listening. Kids would enjoy this exhibit it's a small walk through but still appreciated it in a big city and being free.

Guys, it is REAL Flamingos, REAL! It is one of the few free attractions remaining on the Vegas Strip. About 10 Chilean Flamingos were so pretty in salmon pink and not smelly in this hot weather, which was surprising. Not only Flamingos, you can see pelicans, ducks, gigantic carps, turtles and a waterfall as well. Especially if you're with kids, they will love them! You can feel P.E.A.C.E. It is not that big but the garden itself is pretty and refreshing, it is like you've found a quiet oasis. Relax with a ice cold beer at Carlos' n in the beautiful garden and take pictures cute animals. As a Vegas local, I will definitely be back with my out of the state guests! - Price It is FREE. - Location It is at Flamingo hotel property, near Carlos' N Charlie's bar and restaurant. - Parking You can park at Flamingo Hotel for 1 hour free. * ETC - Open hours: 7AM - 8PM daily - Wildlife presentation: 8AM & 2PM (feeding and briefing) - a Private garden for wedding, etc. * If this review was helpful, please vote :) ** Let's get connected - Instagram @juxycat

This flamingo habitat is absolutely beautiful. It's all the back in the back of the flamingo hotel. Everyone is friendly if you need more directions then the signs give. It's a beautiful oasis outside. You see the flamingos, ducks, huge fish, swans and even a black swan. The experience is free! Definitely a great ace to check out when on the strip.

A lovely gem on The strip most folks will not know about. It is a small wildlife habitat in the Flamingo Hotel. Flamingos, pelicans, turtles, black swan, and several bird species. Happened to catch feeding time for the Pelicans which was fun to watch and learn about those inhabiting the habitat.

Very small but nice habitat. It’s free to enter and look around so nothing to complain about. There’s not a lot of flamingos so don’t expect to see an abundance of them. I think there’s more ducks, birds, and fishes than there are flamingos. We went on a non busy day and got to take a lot of pictures.

Could be suck a great spot looks run down paint is faded , some areas are dirty, to much cannabis everywhere, not a fan certain areas of the hotel were closed couldn't get in there, animals on the safari looked healthy but the attraction it self looks like it needs help.

Walking around in the early morning, you are able to see a lot. Birds were doing their thing, and you could get some nice pictures. Would not be as fund if they were busy.

The habitat is free to visit, when I went it wasn't crowded. It was a little underwhelming. I maybe spent 15 minutes there then left. The flamingo were huddled in a small corner and they had some other birds there. It cool for the kiddos but it's not something you spend the day doing.

Small, but very serene. There were a lot of interesting fish and ducks, as well. There is also an informational show, which runs twice a day. Don't expect to spend more than 30 minutes to 1 hour here.

I love this small habitat where you can find all species of ducks and fish here. A very decent diversity of them is good enough for this habitat. The staff is so knowledgable and dedicated with her job. So glad to be here and see all the fish and ducks

This is a small wildlife habitat located inside of Flamingo hotel and is free attraction for tourists. It has few birds, turtles, fishes, etc. there is a lawn where one can rest or kids can play. Just beside the habitat is the swimming pool. The place clean n clam. Once you enter the flamingo hotel, follow the signs or boards to wildlife habitat.

A free exhibit, the Flamingo Habitat is a wonderful garden accessed through the Flamingo Casino. A wonderful break from the sensory assault that is the Las Vegas strip, the Habitat is a nice oasis for a peaceful stroll (depending on the number of tourists also escaping the streets) with shade for towering palms. In addition to flamingos, look for the pelican, titles, and many species of ducks. Above all, enjoy walking along the twisting parks along the stream and pause on the bridges to watch the giant koi.

Cool little spot at the Flamingo Hotel & Casino. It's free, but finding parking near it could be difficult, or expensive. Had 5 Flamingos to my count when I was there. Various ducks, a few turtles.

  • 5/5 Josh O. 1 year ago on Google
Very nice, well kept outdoor area, although no birds were there that we came to see (flamingos, tropical birds etc.), but it was because of the avian flu, so it was understandable. We were able to see many ducks and native birds in the area, plus the sturgeon, koi, and goldfish in the ponds and creek are huge and awesome. They looked very healthy and happy. The kids enjoyed seeing it all.

Well don't go for the Flamingos. They aren't there right now. Maybe not since Covid. The fountains are still beautiful and it looks like it has a nice bar to sit outside. I did see fish, ducks and rats.

Nice place for a break form the grind of the Strip. Birds enjoying water with Koi. Walking path and some seating areas. A few places to watch form the buffet, but prefer the green and fresh environment. Kid friendly, wallet enjoyable.

Great little habitat in the middle.of a concrete jungle. I took my kiddo here for a field trip. She loved the Chilean flamingos, brown pelican (Bugsy, adorable), and all the red slider turtles. Lots of little shady spots. Bring water, and wear a hat.

Tuck into this area to get a little respite from the other “wildlife” to see some real wildlife. Gorgeous flamingos, huge koi, cute ducks, but also a lot of trees creating a small oasis! Heat is even provided for these guys during the winter. Staff works to take care of the animals and to educate the public. Nice short presentations are given on a schedule with information about the various species on site. There are a few benches in the habitat area and you are just a few steps from the Linq Promenade. It is part of the pathway from the resort to their big party pool in the warm seasons.

Even though it was busy, there was no wait for the entrance. It was a good experience and suggest you all to visit since there is no entrance fee. You can see a few flamingos so don't expect to see abundant of them. You can also see huge goldfish in the garden.

Only had about 6 flamingos. Had some other ducks and duck like birds. Saw a pelican and a couple of turtles. The koi fish are enormous, as are the carp. Sadly, the black swan was not seen and there used to be a lot more flamingos. Also, just be prepared for the smell of the animals and fish, which is intensified by the heat and humidity of Vegas.

Great place for kids in Las Vegas! Beautiful place, free entry but small habitat. You can find flamingos, ducks, fishes, birds, turtles and swans. Plan to spend here for 15-30 mins. Easy to get in and get out, located inside flamingo hotel casinos and close to Linq promenade.

  • 5/5 Tessi C. 1 year ago on Google
It is part of flamingo hotel. You can see beautiful ducks and flamingos. There are lots of carps which are well fed as they are all very big! Defo something different to see in Vegas.

  • 4/5 Matt B. 1 year ago on Google
The area is a nice oasis, but I don't know how I feel about the flamingos here. I hope they're well cared for, but it seems small, and it's at a casino. Not that casinos can't or should not have zoo like attractions, but it is questionable.

  • 4/5 Kris P. 1 year ago on Google
Very cool free exhibit. Anyone can walk out and enjoy the wildlife without being a guest at the hotel. Several times a day there is an employee who comes out and talks about the animals. Try to come during feeding time and see all the activity!

Very pretty grounds. We walked through the wildlife habitat to see the flamingo, other birds like ducks, turtles and coy fish. It was all so very beautiful. Great photo opps and a great experience for kids to see. The grounds are well kept and stroller friendly. There are a few places to sit, a fountain to make a wish as well restaurants to enjoy a meal. It look us about 15 mins to walk through and that included a few family photos. This place is free and you can enter from the Linq Promenade. I highly recommend it be included in your Vegas trip.

  • 4/5 Gordon S. 10 months ago on Google
Surprising place to find a wildlife habitat that is within the confines of the Flamingo Casino on the busy Las Vegas strip. Beyond the carpeted floors filled with slots, you can find a serene oasis of wildlife. Here, a person can escape to view flamingos, ducks, and koi fish amidst tropical palms & plants with waterfalls & quiet ponds.

One of my favorite places on the strip. You can get away from all the lights, noise, hustle and bustle of the strip for a little while and enjoy the peaceful natural setting. There's flamingos, huge koi fish and some ducks. Really a great place to unwind. Plus there's a Buddha statue to rub for good luck and a bust of Bugsy Seigel (my great uncle) to pay homage.

Smoking area for the flamingo hotel is RIGHT next to the poor flamingos. The water is dirty and filled with beer cans. It is a sad sight to see.. the area looks pretty but it is very stinky and dirty. The air reeks of weed, cigarettes, and vape. Not a good place for animals to live. :/

The habitat was much smaller than i expected. It felt like the birds and the fish needed more space. Overall i took a few pictures and was able to be in and out the habitat area within 10 minutes. I wouldn't put this on my Vegas activity checklist but if you're already at the Flamingo you may as well stop by.
