Booked the Hoover Dam Tour which "Includes Government-guided power plant tour". Unfortunately the Power plant tour was not possible which the Bus company knew since weeks but did not inform us. Like this we waisted nearly a full day. Had we taken a car we could have done a smaller tour which was carried out just when we had to leave with the bus. Also there are a lot of unecessary stops. Would not reccomend it. Edit: thank your for the reply: the staff at the visitor center told us that this problem consisted since weeks and the Bus companys have been informed that the full tour is not possible. Also we did not get a refund (since there is a 20$ price difference between the tour and the visitor center ticket)

The worst tourism company ever. We booked a day trip from Las Vegas to the Grand Canyon South Rim. The bus was delayed for 40 minutes, and unfortunately, it broke down shortly after. We ended up waiting for approximately 3.5 hours with no planned alternative. They were supposed to send us another bus to take us back to Las Vegas, but it never arrived. As a result, we missed the Grand Canyon trip and are extremely dissatisfied with this company. We definitely do not recommend them for any future trips. It's not just the fact that the bus broke down, but also the lack of any proposed alternatives by the agents. Such an unprofessional company!

Disappointing Experience with Tour Package: Skip the Helicopter Ride! My recent tour package purchase, which included a Skywalk and helicopter ride, left me feeling quite dissatisfied. While the Skywalk experience was a little stressful as we tried to rush through to get to the helicopter ride, it turned out to be a major letdown. Unfortunately, we were unable to take the helicopter ride due to what seemed like an intentional lack of information from the driver or the tour company. It was disappointing to feel as though our money was being taken advantage of. I strongly advise against purchasing the helicopter ride as part of this tour package, as it could potentially lead to unforeseen issues if the bus runs late. Moreover, obtaining the helicopter ride as part of the package is surprisingly more expensive. I highly recommend considering alternatives, such as purchasing the bus tour separately or exploring other tour companies that offer better transparency and service. If you still wish to experience the thrilling helicopter ride at the Grand Canyon, I suggest purchasing it directly from a reliable helicopter company. Doing so can avoid potential complications and likely get a better deal. In conclusion, this experience was not that great especially since the helicopter ride aspect of this tour package was disappointing and lacked transparency. Note: check all reviews including Tripadvisor shows most people who bought helicopter rides had issues and gave bad reviews. My advice is DO NOT BUY the helicopter ride optional package as it seems to be an intentional well-planned scam to loot customers. Look for alternative options other than buying from Gray Line that will ensure a smoother and more enjoyable adventure at the Grand Canyon.

Do not trust this company. It is a shady operation. We paid for 3 people for visit to Grand Canyon well in advance. We waited at the pick up spot well in advance of the pick up time 6:15 am. Bus did not show up at the pick up time. We kept calling the number provided. We were told the bus would come and pick us up. There were other company's buses whose drivers were carefully checking the list of passengers and making each passengers were picked up. After 45 minutes, a bus with the description provided came from the wrong side of the road, bus driver pretended to stop and sped away. After calling Gray Line office, they told us they picked up 6 people where we standing but they could not found us. That was a lie. We saw bus leaving without stopping. Repeated calling their office after bus left without stopping was of no avail. The girl Alexis at their office kept us giving a run around. It appeared they had overbooked. After a while their story changed and Alexis said they picked up 16 people at the same spot we were standing. She told us to write an email to them. She did not make any attempt to help. She must have been trained in stonewalling customers. After we wrote an email to them, they would not even offer a refund (let alone extra day of hotel expense that we incurred). In email reply, they replied 11 people were picked up from our spot. These people cannot even lie with correct numbers. Please check Better Business Bureau; there are several complaints. We would have given zero stars if that was possible. This is a fly by night operation. By calling it a Grey Line, they want you think they are a big company similar to Greyhound. This company will deceive you out of your money. Do not book a tour with them.

Rip-off Please do not use this company for any tours. They will ruin your trip. Customer service folks in Vegas office are trained to stonewall customers. This is a company that does not care about customers; only their bottom line. Customer service is rude and the girl named Alexis is a liar. We were given a runaround and deceived for over $300 dollars by this company. They committing fraud in a daylight. Please find other operators if you want to do day trips from Vegas. Do not trust your money with them.

Oh please don’t ever book the Grand Canyon tour or any tours with these guys.. The pick up was at 6:05 am, and they came at 7:25 am, and the worst part is no one bothered to inform about the delay until the passengers called them to know what’s going on. And then, after the later arrival, it was so pathetic uncontrollably small bus, with lot of sounds and irritating vibrations, the one that went to south rim was luxury and the one for west rim (ours) was a third class cheap bus. You complain to them, and the best part is they will not respond to you. So better safe than sorry, book wisely

Bus arrived at Mirage hotel approx 6.30am and set off 6.45am. We got to the Mirage from Trump seeing as they didn't pick up there, approx 5.55am. It would have been nice on your email to provide a map of the North entrance with us being tourists just out of courtesy, but had to pay for a taxi to there which added extra cost. What I do not get is the $20 dollar fuel surcharge which only myself and partner had to pay... and i know this as i seen the papers checking for our names! Perhaps this was a sneaky way of recouping your discounted Groupon tickets as there was no mention of this prior to booking. I will discuss this with Groupon! The meal sounded like it was going to be nice but it was a deep pan pizza hut baby pizza and an entree, meh. Too many stops making the journey twice as long. Route 66 and maybe one stop back would have sufficed when the driver changed as they do in the UK for 5plus hour trips. At the end of the journey I just wanted to get into bed as a mix of the heat and air con around Vegas casinos and stores had made me feel ill most of the day. First driver was great though, can't fault him apart from the lateness but may not have been his fault who knows?

I thought my trip on 2/21/2023 was poor, until I read some more of these reviews. At least the bus restroom worked half of the time. Not sure why, but first driver insisted on camping in the left lane the whole way. My biggest complaint is the second driver ignored all the regulation signs westbound on the new Hoover Dam bridge. During 70 mph wind gusts, she did not use the left lane even though the freeway sign says to. Then she pulled over onto the shoulder so people could take pictures of the dam, in the dark while semis zoomed by us. Absolutely unsafe and against the law. At least I got to the South Rim and back, had time to walk from Mather Point to Bright Angel Lodge, and was back in Las Vegas by 10:00pm.

Rather disappointed. We did the full day South Rim tour. Little to no commentary provided by tour guides other than mentions of food stops. No history, no storytelling, just a four plus hour ride to the Grand Canyon, two stops and the drive back. Replacement driver added an extra gas station stop, I think she was hungry, not long after our McDonalds dinner break. Now, the South Rim was wonderful, just wished there had been more information.

Total waste of a day of a short vexation in Vegas!!!! BEWARE!!! Booked a bus trip from Vegas to the Grand Canyon weeks before we went. There was supposed to helicopter ride in the canyon and boat ride. I had already been to the Grand Canyon, so the only reason we did this trip was for the helicopter and boat ride. Gray Line sent us a confirmation text the day before. So the next day we got on the bus for a 3-4 hour bus ride. When we got to the canyon and went to sign in for the helicopter / boat ride, the person looked at us as though we were crazy. Turns out they only had two helicopters and one was scheduled to be out of service for maintenance and the other was scheduled for flight to Boulder. (Those that are familiar with aircraft know scheduling of Maintenance is done weeks in advance.). Gray Line response was that it was not Gray Line's fault. Excuse me, but it was. I paid you for the entire trip!!!! The fact that you subcontract out pieces was news to me and is still your responsibility. They refunded the portion of the helicopter and boat ride, but we lost a whole day riding around in a bus. I would have canceled the trip had I been told the helicopter and boat ride were not possible. The weather btw was prefect for both rides. So I think Gray Line needs to accept responsibility that they did not confirm with their subcontractor. They should have offered me more than the partial refund since they did not incur that cost. They should have done something given I wasted a day in Vegas because of their failure to communicate with their partner! I ended up paying for a bus ride - so they profited off my loss.

5/25/22 Mm If you are deciding to book this tour don’t. Bus was late picking us up. No mention in the itinerary about road conditions. I urge you to consider as the ride was horrible. They had a trainee on board she was very rude. Ran out of toilet paper she acted like she didn’t care. Additional stops were added on the way home to prolong the 14 hour trip. No mention of the added stops in the itinerary. I felt bad for the driver every stop he had to go look for people as they weren’t responsible enough to come back on time. Stopped for dinner was then informed we would have a new driver for the remainder of the trip these details should be included in the trip info to allow patrons to all have the info before purchase. Never again. We were a group of 8 people. Grand Canyon south rim. They supplied water but it was hot couldn’t bother to place in a cooler. Temperature on The bus was either too hot or too cold. We barley had time to eat our lunch vendor that supplied lunch was not prepared for the amount of people on our trip. We had no narration on the tour as mention on the web site. Trip ended up being 16 hours

Day trip to the Hoover Dam was great, though some transparency - the Dam tour is not run by the Gray Line. On our day the elevators were out so while we paid for a dam tour, we got to visit the visitor center (it's run by the Hoover dam/gov). Gray Line wasn't aware in advance (We were told by a different tour group and they offered their participants a refund- Gray Line didn't offer that option). Also, the pick up could have been better. The bus didn't say gray Line. Driver didn't announce anything or stick his head in the door where people from the tour got left behind. A sign or announcement would have been greatly appreciated. And please, raise the volume on the bus so people can hear. The "tour" part of the ride was practically non existent for those in the back.

Beware!!!!! Hazardous to your health and safety… We booked a tour through our travel agent with grayline for the west rim Grand Canyon and Hoover dam photo op tour for Tuesday July 11th. Upon entering the small bus with no bathroom ( our travel agent had said it was a large bus with a bathroom, as we were traveling with people with disabilities) we noticed it was warm on the bus. The driver stated to everyone on the bus that he was sorry the ac wasn’t working properly! It wasn’t not working properly it wasn’t working at all! We never stopped at the Hoover dam for the photo op. Like Our itinerary stated. The first stop was a gas station. By the time we got there everyone on the bus was sweating the heat in the bus was becoming unbearable. I was traveling with my disabled aunt, my terminally ill father and my mother that has copd and asthma as well as my sister. My mother started having trouble breathing and needed to use her inhaler multiple times. My father started to feel not good and my aunt actually began puking because of the temperature in the bus. We complained and called multiple times as did others on the bus! The driver was rude and drove unsafe! Multiple times he was on the wrong side of the road with cars coming at us. I called during the tour as did others to complain and ask for something to be done. Nothing was done! I have called and emailed daily and have gotten no where with no response. I expect a refund You falsely advertised the tour we never got to stop at the Hoover dam or at other places mentioned. The driver was unsafe and rude and it is illegal to run a bus in Vegas with no ac. I have pictures of the temperature read in the bus,it was over 91 degrees Also it said you provide water well the water was never given out and when asked for it it was boiling hot!

Very disappointed in the tour. It was the Hoover Dam tour. Bus was late so we had to hurry at first couple locations. Then we booked the tour because it included the generator room tour and when we got there they did not get tickets and we were unable to do that tour. In addition after reply. As a tour company you should not sell what you can't deliver. Or give the opportunity to cancel and book with a tour company that can give the tour we would want. Don't wait until almost there and tell us oh we can't do part of the tour you signed up for and wanted.

We thoroughly enjoyed out trip to the Grand Canyon through Gray Line tours. Freddy was our driver and he is one of the best in the business. Informative, friendly, on time, and funny! We laughed the whole way there and back. Highly recommend this tour. The hotel pickup was perfect. Really one of the best tours I've taken. They give you ample time at each viewpoint. I really enjoyed myself.

Grayline Grand Canyon South Rim Tour Personal Assessment 5/24/22 1. The tour should not be called a tour. It should be called "Grand Canyon South Rim Shuttle." No one from the company ( gave a single piece of information about the Grand Canyon (i.e. how it formed, etc.). The driver merely told us to get off at the Mather Point site and told us to come back after an hour and a half. After that, he dropped us off at the lodge for another view of the Canyon and told us to come back after 25 minutes. That's it. We were taken from Las Vegas to the Grand Canyon and back and that is what a shuttle does. 2. The tour bus driver shouldn't have stopped for breakfast only to stop a couple of hours later again for lunch. Breakfast stop wasn't in the itinerary and shouldn't have been included. We could have just gotten straight to lunch and perhaps spent more time at the Canyon. My suggestion would be to tell people taking this tour to provide for their own breakfast as only lunch was provided by the tour. 3. At lunch, the people at Pizza Hut told us that they didn't know there was another tour bus coming, ours. As such, ordering lunch (waiting for pizza) took longer than usual with lines longer than necessary. We were rushed into eating our pizza standing since only 30 minutes was given for lunch. Cut the unscheduled breakfast stop and give more time for lunch because that's what's included in the itinerary. The lunch fiasco tells me that Grayline failed to coordinate with the managers of the Pizza Hut restaurant to let them know we were coming. 4. We left downtown Las Vegas by 8:00 am but didn't see the Grand Canyon till almost 6 hours later. We enjoyed the Grand Canyon for a total of 2 hours in a 14-hour day. This was unacceptable and certainly not worth the money spent.

My girlfriend and I did the Grand Canyon West Rim Tour and our tour guide/driver Wayne Liu was amazing! He gave us so much insight to Vegas and made our 2 hour ride back & forth entertaining. He was also very enthusiastic and gave us so much help to smoothen our experience as we were the only ones who took the Helicopter & Boat Ride out of everyone who was in his bus. The Helicopter & Boat ride was truly a breathtaking unforgettable experience worth every cent. I highly recommend Gray Line and consider yourself super lucky if you get Wayne as your tour guide/driver as he’s someone who has so much passion doing this.

Our bus driver/Tour Guide/Narrator Lucius is Awesome! He was patient, considerate, very knowledgeable about how the Pandemic has affected businesses in the area; very informative about the tour destination. We took the half day tour to the Hoover Dam. A few things to note: It would be nice to have some sort of sign on the side of the bus or inside the window. We and a another tour family thought we missed the bus. It would also be nice to have the full 2 hours, not 90 minutes. The inside tour is great, and then they invite you to go into the small museum, and also to tour around outside to take any Dam photos. The line at the cafe was long, and waiting for the food was pretty short. Time was just tight to get a bite to eat and check out the Dam store. Great information about Boulder City... Bette Davis, Desi Arnaz, Jr., Clark Gable, Howard Hughes, etc.

If you want to take a day trip to the Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam, pick another tour provider. The driver left 30 minutes late from our pick up point. Everyone was on the bus, he just sat there talking on the phone. Then we stopped and wasted another 30 minutes at a gas station. Since he was running behind schedule he skipped our stop at Hoover Dam and said we would stop on the way back from the Grand Canyon. When we came back through it was already getting dark and Hoover Dam was closed. There was no offer to discount the price paid for the tour even though we skipped one of the main attractions. The driver was very unprofessional and was speaking badly about the native Americans and the rules that must be followed when visiting the west rim. He was falling asleep while waiting for passengers to reboard the bus, them minutes later we are flying down the road going 80 miles an hour. The bus was dirty and had clearly not been cleaned in a while. It was supposed to have a bathroom, but there was no mention of this and we wasted time on 2 bathroom stops. Think twice before wasting your time and money with this company.

Grayline tour was beyond exceptional!!!! Our driver had the greatest customer service and made aure our trip was memorable. The stops along the way were well scheduled and the times spent in each location was sufficient enough to actually enjoy exploring. The packages were affordable and well worth it. Overall a great tour!!! Definitely would do it again

We took the Grand Canyon West Rim Tour today, our driver Dewayne went above and beyond to assure we got to see the most!! He was extremely knowledgeable about the history of any topic between Vegas and the Canyon, and if he didn't know the answer he would make up believable stories with hilarious adult content humor that went over most peoples heads... 🤣 the hoover damn tour was amazing and the canyon was absolutely breathtaking.. we will definitely book with these guys again!!!

We had an absolute wonderful time on our Hoover Dam tour! Our guide Michael was informative and funny, offering plenty of fun, behind the scenes tidbits along the entire journey. He made sure to tell us about timelines and recommendations as to what order to complete the tour in order to maximize our time. We would search out another tour with him again!

YOU DO NOT GET WHAT IS ADVERTISED. Took the grand canyon West rim tour on Nov 5 and the bus was fine and the trip was fine, but we did not make it to the Hoover dam before it got dark so that's a waste of good money there. There is no point in showing up when the bus drivers tell you to come back. They won't leave without you. An absolute terrible experience.

We had Paulie do our west rim trip and he was fantastic! He was extremely knowledgeable and informative as we drove. We made it seem like a short trip! His passion for his job was very evident and those who get Paulie as a guide are going to have a good day with someone who cares about the day that you’re about to have! Lost a star because of the small space on the bus (I’m 6’6” so it’s inevitable but my knees are sore after the day adventure). Thank you Paulie!

My fiancé and I took the Grand Canyon West tour and had a great time. Our bus driver Freddy was extremely helpful and provided us with tips to have the full experience of the canyon. The bus did not have a bathroom as we expected but Freddy did stop at different areas for restroom breaks so this was not an issue. It was obvious that Freddy takes pride in his job.

Had an excellent tour to the hoover dam and our guide was fantastic, but I'm not super pleased with the corporate side of this company. Why would you overbook a tour?! Our party JUST made it on, four other people who were supposed to be picked up at our hotel had to stay behind because there wasn't enough seats on the bus for them. I felt bad... everything isn't about money.

This tour is just as described. It’s well planned and the perfect duration spent at each stop. What really made the tour was our guide KIM! She was amazing and makes the tour extra enjoyable. She’s very professional, polite, and knowledgeable. We really enjoyed our tour and look forward to more, and especially hope we get Kim again!

The Hoover Dam Express bus tour was amazing. We were picked up in a really nice coach bus. Our driver, Lafayette was absolutely amazing. He was super knowledgeable and definitely enjoys what he does. The Dam tour was amazing. I learned so much. The actual tour is only 30 minutes but you will have time to explore on your own. This was #1 on my list of things to do and I’m so happy I was able to do it. The sights are breathtaking.

I was disappointed with the Gray Line tour to the Hoover Dam. I booked the tour through an agent on the Las Vegas Strip which was to include a tour of the interior of the Dam for $78. The drive there was fine and the driver was very informative about the facts as to how the Dam was built, however, on arriving and being guided as to where the tours take place, I was told my ticket didn’t cover the internal tour even though the leaflet said that it was. I tried to contact Gray Line’s office, but unfortunately couldn’t get a signal. On returning from the tour, I went to the agent to complain. It was very disappointing having travelled so far to see the Dam and to be let down by not going on the tour. A word of warning to anybody else looking to book this tour thinking you will get the tour as well, you won’t.

Hugely disappointed with the South Rim trip. Pickup was poorly organised - lots of people waiting around with unbranded tour buses rolling in and no communication from drivers or instructions or a map on the paperwork. Be prepared for a big day. The bus ride is 4-5 hours long EACH WAY excluding stops. The buses travel in convoy (2-3 buses) so by the time we got to a stop as the last bus there were extremely long queues for the bathrooms and counter meaning people on our tour were late back each stop. We only got to see 2 out of the 3 Grand Canyon stops in the end and would have only been there about 1hr 15min before getting back on the bus again. To note, you only stop at Grand Canyon National Park Village - you will drive past Hoover dam but not over it. After leaving at 7am from Vegas we didn't get back to our hotel until nearly 10pm at night both with flat cell phones because the charging powerpoints on the bus don't work and we didn't have long enough at the stops to use the paid chargers. Overall we learnt nothing from the driver about the area and by the end of the trip, you'll have a few nice photos but a hatred for buses after spending nearly a full day on it. If you're traveling from Vegas consider picking a shorter tour that won't waste a full day. If you're going on this trip I highly recommend packing a power bank, headphones and extra water. It does get cold with the aircon, so suggest also packing a sweatshirt. At least you can use that as a pillow while you sit on the bus for 10+ hours and try to get some sleep to pass the time.

Shoutout to Tour Driver Paulie!! Teresa and I had a wonderful experience visiting the Hoover Dam, and we would go with Paulie, again and again. The bus was clean and comfortable for the short ride from the Vegas strip pick up at Mirage (soon to be Hard Rock). Plenty of water was provided, thanks for that Gray Line. Paulie made the difference between the average tour driver and one that is informative, outgoing, and passionate about providing the best customer experience.

Lafayette Jackson, our guide and bus driver was informative, fun and a pleasure to be around. His recommendations on the food was great! He was even keel when the original bus we were on didn't have AC and made the switch over to a new bus a very smooth transition. The tour was great! He made the trip very fun. Always reminding us to keep hydrated and the tour even provide water to make sure we keep hydrated. The only down side was that the bus we switched over to was not really clean. The head rest on the seats were covered in hair. Not Lafayette's fault!

I'll admit, I booked my trip before reading any of the reviews; when I finally decided to look, most of the new ones were negative, which really scared me into thinking I was going to have a negative experience. WELL I was wrong. I had the time of my life with Gray Line!! Rod, our driver, got us there early and in good time, and he was very friendly and made sure we all got what we needed. Our pickups from each hotel ran smoothly, we were the first bus at the rest stop, and I have absolutely no complaints. I booked the Hoover dam stop, helicopter, boat ride, and optional meal upgrades package (comes with breakfast and lunch). Breakfast was a subway sandwich, and I decided on lunch at guano point (eagle point only has a snack bar). Everything was great there, and I had a phenomenal time with the helicopter that takes us to the boat ride and back. I also had enough time after the helicopter and boat, to go see both eagle and guano point, which I was happy!! All in all I would recommend this tour to everybody!!

We booked a tour of the Grand Canyon. Our driver was friendly but late to every pickup in the morning. Over the next 6 hours from 8:00 am to 2:00 PM we had no less than 4 gas station stops. After we arrived we had from 3:45 pm to 4:15 pm to view the Grand Canyon. On our way back we had 3 more gas station stops (even when told not to stop at one by the majority of passengers) culminating in a driver swap 2 hours from our destination of Las Vegas at 9:30 pm. Our final arrival time is estimated at 11:23 pm. We did not get the tour we paid for as the driver said the mic was not working which was proven false by our replacement driver. We sat in silence for approximately 12 hours in total for the culmination of the trip. Unfortunately, in the end what we got was a food tour rather than the Grand Canyon tour we bought.

Seriously terrible experience with this tour company. Read the other reviews and make sure you don’t sign up with them via a trip advisor booking or from any other place. It’s too bad the rating system starts at 1 and not O. Gray Line Las Vegas prides itself in awful customer service! I was waiting in line for what was already 40 minute late bus when someone from the company called me said they had to boot me off the booking for some issue and were looking to boot 6 other people off. Extremely poor customer service and communication. Now I need to completely reorganize my day as I do not want vouchers for a future trip and can’t move the trip down a day due to scheduling conflicts. If I do not get my refund processed in 48 hours….there will be a BBB complaint filed and a lawsuit headed your way!

The trip was awesome! Big Mike the driver is one of a kind, knows so many interesting facts and kept the vibe going strong for the whole trip. Only minor complaints are the bus we rode on had very little legroom and we didn't have as much time as I would have wanted to fully explore the Canyon in 3 hours.

I was given 2 locations in the email and i kept waiting at the other location. The drive called me at the scheduled time and he was very rude and unprofessional. I told him that i am ready coming to pick up location but he kept saying that his bus cant come to the place where I was. He couldn’t understand English well and was not ready to listen to me. I paid extra bucks on uber and came to the pick up location a few mins later with me and my 4 year old. However, I found that the driver had already left. Grayline accommodated me on the next day without any extra charge but it was highly inconvenient given i was traveling with my family. Furthermore, i couldn’t have taken the tour if I did not have an extra free day planned in my trip. What if my flight was the other day? Next day, everyone was requested to be back by 2pm after Canyon tour but we had to wait for more than 1 hour. Why didn’t we leave people behind there? Now regarding the tour, it only covers 2 points inside Grand Canyon - 1. Eagle point / Skywalk 2. Guano point The private/tour buses are not allowed go inside so you need to take Grand Canyon operated shuttles to get to these points, cover these in about 3 hours on your own and be back to the parking area. Hoover dam is on the way back which is seen from far far away.
