Dog fields are long (great for playing fetch or throwing frisbees). They have a working dog water fountain and shaded seating areas.

We love this dog park. It’s big enough to give you space if needed. Dogs and humans have all been friendly. It’s clean and kept in good condition. Water fountains work for dogs but not people. There’s a fun park to walk through as well. Currently closed for maintenance.

Nice large dog park with 3 separate areas to classify dogs by weight, age etc. My dog loves visiting. They have a water fountain if you forget to bring a water and bowl. They also have waste bags if you need them. The people are friendly for the most part but you know there is always one person who thinks they own the park and is in charge. She is amusing. My complaint with this park is the inconsistent hours - 4 times I have gone and it has been locked during days and hours it should be open. The dog park sits behind another park that has a playground, walking track and courts. There are restrooms.

Huge area for fur babies to roam and meet new friends! Separate areas for large and small dogs. There is a lovely park and tennis courts here as well! Early mornings are busy with many friendly people and pups to meet. If you prefer less foot/paw traffic you should visit around noon when you can practically have the whole place to yourself!

One of the best dog parks I've ever been to! Grassy with plenty of trees, and 3 separate areas for different sized dogs.

After living in Vegas for three miserable years, and trying every dog park within a 40 mile radius, I am so happy to say I found this park! There’s nothing fancy about it. Doesn’t offer you anything that any normal park wouldn’t. However I find it incredible enough that I drive 35 minutes one way every Saturday and Sunday morning just so that I could take my dogs here. Why? Because it’s out in the middle of nowhere, so, God for bid, some idiot leaves the gate open, (like they do every single time I’m at sunset in Henderson) your dog can’t really go anywhere that you couldn’t see him. It’s all wide-open spaces. No chance of being hit by a car either. The dog park itself has a fantastic impenetrable fence all the way around, not to mention the people who bring their dogs there are generally older and know how to shut the gate behind them. That being said, I haven’t had to cuss anybody out over there yet. Its clean and the views are spectacular. I think it’s just as much fun for me as it is for my dogs.

Barkin Basin Park is a really nice dog park, park in general. It’s a pretty big park and there’s always people and the dog park is roomy and nice as well. I really enjoy the nature, the walking, the community. It’s beautiful! I recommend it for sure!

Barkin Basin really is the absolute best dog park. Our 2 Chihuahuas really love it there. We appreciate that there's a big dog side and a small dog side. Good exercise for pets and humans!

Love coming here!! It’s one of the biggest dog parks I’ve been to here in Vegas. A lot of friendly people too

Love this canine park. Individuals there are really amicable and generally the canines are acted. As a matter of fact have grass there for your canine to run on. I anyway would you like to caution you around one. There's an African-American couple that will appear around evening time with weapons on the hips and 5 imposing canines. There are amazingly fierce. They continually get contentions with individuals and the man is especially bold since he conveys a weapon on his hip. He supposedly has taken steps to shoot others' canine. I was there around evening time and the police needed to on them. on the off chance that you do see them there it is best that you stay away from them.

Great park. Took me 20 minutes to find the dog parks (don't go left or right). Dog parks are straight, through the evergreens, in the huge drainage basin area.

This is a huge dog park with trees, benches, and canopies for shade, with 95% grass! There are 3 huge sections, one for large dogs, one for small dogs, and one for recovery from use, and these are rotated. It is mostly very clean with some doggie debris in far-off areas. Most owners are very good about keeping their dogs under control. The one negative is that the only water available is 10 feet from the gate, and the farthest fence looks to be 600 feet away.

The best and biggest dog park around! There are separate parks for large and small dogs, but they're all the same equally huge park. We usually take our dog here every other day so he can get all the exercise he needs, and we've never had a bad interaction with either another dog or person. It's very clean, water and poop bags are on site, and it's pretty well maintained.

Yet another park in the great city of vegas that doesnt have a age restriction for kids..really kids under the age of 15 shouldnt be in a dog park especially not around big dogs. But guess we live in redneck america where are the beverly hillbilies believe that its family time at a dog park and their little kids are entitled to run around crazy. Lots of irresponsible owners makes this park a 3/5 its like they are oblivious to their dogs shitting, water fountains too far from common area...People in wheelchairs who can't control theirs dogs if something goes down. Parking is too far from the dog area..other than that the park is big lots of people..great place to exercise your dog but you might step in poop..vegas city really need to put a age restriction on people's children.

One if the best parks for dogs in las vegas

  • 3/5 Nolin G. 2 years ago on Google
Dog was nice, grassy, pretty large. We come from Colorado so this is NOTHING on bear creek dog Prk in Colorado springs. Unfortunately I think that is probably one of the best dog parks in the country...so I have a hard time comparing to where we came from, which is why I gave it 3 stars. Nothing bad there, the playground for the kids is a little run down is all. Check it out, nothing negative to really say.

I have more of a question. I don't know how busy it is later at night. Only because I have pit bulls and they are not the most friendly so I would like to bring them. But I would like to bring them when it's less busy, can someone? Give me some insight on how crowded it is. Between 8 PM through 10 PM.

Very great place to go to for dogs especially by the time temperatures starts dropping if it's near you by 30 minutes walking distance I recommend checking it out the best way to lose weight is by walking 20 to 30 minutes just to see this place but that's just me who loves long walks.

WOW!!! Best dig park ever!!! Huge, with grass and water...also, one area for large dogs and another for small dogs.

  • 5/5 Keith C. 1 year ago on Google
Great place to let your dog get some exercise but beware some people let their pitbulls mingle with your dog and there not the best breed of dog to have running with the other breeds there very unpredictable!!!! They should have their own section

Truly wonderful park. (Note: Google points to a barbed wire area that is north of the park, and the aerial shows as bare-earth the area that was developed into the park). Large, grassy areas for small and large dogs in a sunken basin area south of the "people" park. Working drinking fountains for people and dogs, a shaded gazebo and tree-shaded areas. Lots of dogs having a great time.

Love bringing both my German Shepherds to Barkin Basin park. They love playing with the other dogs. It's pretty spacious for them to play and run around.

I love this park and the people who bring their dogs here. Everyone is very friendly and kind. I've never had an issue. The only thing that bothers me is sometimes the park has some poo from owners who don't pick it up so you need to watch your step. The park is large and has plenty of rooms for the dogs to run.

Generally a great dog park. 99% of people are responsible for their dogs. There are a few that don't pick up after them but the park maintenance is good. With the exception of the fountain. It was out for a long time during the summer. Great place for the pups to get their run on!

Nice big dog park with some grass not just a dirt field like others. Great place to let the doggies roam.

So far I am impressed with the size of park and cleanliness of it. It is one of the better parks in Vegas. I recommend this one. So far the people I met there are friendly. There are many other park features that surround Bark Basin. Tennis courts. A paved jogging park/roller blade/skate park. A children's area, BBQ And work out area. It is easy to find. Wheel chair access able. Check this one out. The large n small dogs have separate sections.

Nice, soothing vibes here at this particular-park! Strolled here a few times during later hours in the P.M. If you don't like low-lighting settings/situations, this park will be of great service to you, whereas.... As I'm strolling the trail to cut across, towards Durango & then Ann. The light poles get brighter per your movement (in response to motion sensor{s} above) Respectfully, ♧☆°MM°☆♧ ,

Great spot. Lots of room to run for the fur-babies. Bring your own dog water as the water fountains don't often work past the entry. Also, could use more lights. Unfortunately, this park seems to have more people neglecting to pick up after their dogs than the other parks.

Has open run area but also trees for shade. Doggie fountains. Poopie bag stations. Fencing in good condition.Shaded areas over seating for people to wait. 3 different gated sections for dog sizes. Fairly flat/even ground.

It is an ok dog park. Has plenty of space and only mediocre grass. Have seen plenty of aggressive dogs here so beware.

  • 5/5 Jim C. 2 years ago on Google
Nice dog park, with huge fenced areas for running and play. "Big dog" area has several aggressive large dogs, and some dog fights. Small dog area has no such problems. Most of the small dogs want to run and play, some do not. If your dog does not like the attention of other dogs, this may not be the place for you, unless you want your small dog to learn how to deal with dogs that want to play. The city seems to be very attentive to this dog park, and we all appreciate it.

Many years ago, when I was about 11 or so, I took my Great Dane, George to this park. Seven years later and I'm taking my 3 year old dog Frankie here. This place is very nostalgic to me and holds a lot of significance. The people you meet here are always very friendly, the stuff around the dog park is beautifully maintained, and there is a gas station and Dairy Queen within walking distance. Overall, it's a great dog park It also has two seperate sections, one for larger dogs and one for elderly, small, or disabled dogs.

Awesome dog park with separate areas for large and small dogs.

  • 5/5 Paul C. 1 year ago on Google
For any runners this park is rather good. A big rectangle with running track swirls at opposing corners. A complete lap including the two swirly bits comes to 5k. Is that pot luck or did some genius in the planning department design it perfectly?

This review is for the LARGE dog area only. It has a nice water fountain for both people and dogs. A lot of people don’t pickup after their dogs. Very large area compared to others in Las Vegas, so the poop left behind doesn’t seem too extreme, but still. Has 16 trees that provide shade, 14 more have been planted. I will certainly stop here again when in the Las Vegas area.😊
