Ethel Pearson Park

Tourist attraction Park Playground Basketball court

👍👍 It's a great park for the kids. It's in a part of town with a lot of homeless, but they leave you alone, even though some come relax in the grassy area. I take my kids 3x a week for an hour or two each time. It has swings also!!! People often mention park, kids, nice,

The park itself is really nice. The area surrounding is full of homeless and trash, and the park suffers because of it. I visited several times over the course of a few weeks and every time found the playground full of garbage. Rotting food, broken glass, and drug paraphernalia were scattered around. I would take it to the cans, and the next visit there would be even more. My last visit I watched a homeless lady dump an entire suitcase of clothes on top the overflowing trash can and proceed to sleep on the slide, where kids are supposed to play. It truly is a beautiful park with shade trees and green grass. I did enjoy the time I spent there, and I would go back again. The amount of garbage though, is really a disgrace.

The park is very clean quiet secluded ,my only problem was the bum that was sleeping and woke up and his whole backside was exposed that was gross I'm glad I didn't have any children with me

It was early afternoon on a weekday when I took my family to this park. It was relatively quiet. No bathrooms or water. Has basketball court, play structure for little kids and plenty of shade.

Yes it’s true this place has a roller hockey rink or rollerskating rink. The concrete is not perfectly smooth and there are a few cracks, but the other parks with roller skating options are super far away. There were a few unhoused people, but I didn’t feel unsafe, and I was fine with my kid being here too (there were other kids as well). There are NO bathrooms though!
