It was unexpectedly disappointing from a large organization like UNLV. I rented an eight person tent and opened it at the campsite only to realize it was damaged. The tent had holes in it and the poles were extremely bent. So much so that my group had to sleep in the car as we were camping at the Tuweep Campground. Upon returning the equipment and explaining UNLV the situation, I was hoping for a positive response. Instead UNLV charged me $400 and tried to intimidate me by mentioning that they would blacklist me and report me to the collection agency. The manager was rude and, to try and put the blame on us, she said the damage was done during transportation. That reason is a bit strange considering that we traveled in an Infiniti QX 80, not on a Horse Cart. Attaching a picture of the car at the campground as proof.

A well maintained and organized gym that has lots offer. From basketball courts to free weights and even swimming pools that are always kept in optimum condition, there is truly something for everybody here. Being a University gym open to the public means it has a different feel from commercial and private gyms, a feel that lets me run on all fours on the treadmill without fear of being judged. I recommend this gym to anybody just looking for something to do.

THE WORST STAFFED GYM My experience at this gym has been extremely unpleasant. The staff has to be the unfriendliest, ignorant, single most unprofessional staff I've ever dealt with in a Las Vegas gym. Registering was incredibly unprofessional: No introduction, no service information, no welcome in any form. I understand this is not a franchise gym, serving the greater public, but customer service is fundamental and this gym lacks any kind of pleasantries, from a single staff member. I stood at the customer service counter for 3 minutes, as two staff members stood at the other end, glanced over at me and continued talking about bottled water!?!? Unbelievable! I asked several questions (6+) and was told, "I don't know", each time. Their incompetence aside, I continued to go forward and get a full assessment of this gym (I did not last more than three days). It was dirty (see attached photos). The trash pictured was from my second day, the shower hadn't been cleaned. And that trash had sat there for two days. There was used soap bars in the second shower I tried to use. Finally, in the third shower there was MOLD (picture attached) on the ceiling. Unacceptable! In this day of Covid and now Monkeypox, the cleanliness of public spaces should be paramount. I could live with the rude, UNFRIENDLY, incompetent staff, but not MOLD. The majority of equipment is stationed in two rows on the second floor, very very close to each other, in a very crowded space, with little to no room to walk through. When you are using the machines, you are practically in the face of someone using the machines opposite you. It's incredibly uncomfortable trying to enjoy a workout with a stranger in your face. This gym is clearly horribly staffed and managed. And that's unfortunate such a large university. With all the additional fees; towel fees, locker fees, this gym is not worth the time and money. There are so many options available in Las Vegas, do not waste your time with this gym. Even Eos gyms provide, much better service and have better staffing.

Great gym, but poor hours and no 24/7 free parking nearby. Can borrow chain belts from the desk. Very reasonably priced and good for short term, no contract situations due to a lack of annual fee.

Mostly clean. (trash is not emptied in men's locker room during peak use) Friendly staff, well maintained equipment. Nice facility to to do multiple recreational activities. No idea why Home Shopping Network 2 is always on. TV channels selected are always odd for a college campus.

Looking for a clean, friendly, and not-too-crowded gym? Look no further if you are associated with UNLV. Also in this building is UNLV's medical care facility for students, administration, and family members. Einstein Brothers Bagels is here too! Overall, can't wrong with these modern amenities!

A beautiful and clean area. I come in around 6- 8 to workout, and I find hardly any people taking up the gym. Come in at that time because It gets extremely crowded during the during to the point where you will wait for workout equipment. It has a swimming pool (1st floor), indoor track(last floor), full size basketball courts (1st and 3rd floor). As well as, free workout classes if you enrolled in 4 credits or more. Overall this place makes it fun to workout because you have lots of options.

The dead/power lifters NEED A SEPARATE ROOM!! So they can slam they’re weights without disturbing everyone else. Kind of ridiculous

My visit to the Wellness center was great initially. Scheduling, registering, and visit were excellent. However, I was soon locked out of my ability to register for classes within 15 days of my visit. Unfortunately, I visited the wellness center and didn’t pay upfront. I thought it was covered by my tuition fee. It wasn’t. The problem was paying for the fee which can’t be done online. So when the office closed for three days for a holiday, I lost out of early registration and had one of my classes closed and the other on waitlist. Thousands of students no one to answer the phone or invest in an online payment system. It look a little more than a week after my registration day to miss out on opportunities. Its a warning to all students. It’s better to visit a quick care.

Problems: 1. No free parking 2. Limited hours and sometimes altogether closed 3. 1 story spread out gym > 4 story cramped gym 4. Not enough machines 5. Not enough variety of machines 6. Expensive (now $40 a month, not worth it when it was $25) 7. Not enough weights. Giant multimillion dollar gym has maybe 2-4 pairs of the most commonly used weights (10-35) and are generally always in use. 8. Not enough benches. Can't tell you how much time I wasted waiting like a plebe for a bench. Positives: 1. They have a nice pool you'll never use because who uses that. 2. They have nice racquetball courts you'll maybe use once or twice because again who uses that. 3. They have a cool mountain climbing wall but again who uses that. 4. They have a lot of basketball courts that again you'll never use. 5. They have a lot of cool stuff that you'll never use because I assume most people just want cardio/weight/classes. The main problem with this gym is architectural. After going to EOS and seeing that they have a giant first floor facility for less than half the price I can never go back to UNLV gym. I may be mistaken but I think students have to pay for this overpriced over architectured gym to attend UNLV or built into the cost of it.

I love this gym, have been coming here since 2016 when I first moved to Las vegas. However it seems like the basketball courts have fluctuating availability even though a lot of the members come solely to get runs in on the 3rd floor courts. I've always felt like that's on fair because it's still $40 (used to be $25). Everyone's out to get more money from you without actually improving the product or service

Good variety of machines, not many of each, but everyone's pretty polite if you ask how long they have left.

Great facility that has everything you need from weights to cardio to sports. Staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is awesome. Love the layout and highly recommend this gym.

They have good equipment and everything is clean. If you are not a student, you have to also pay for a student ID. The showers are great too.

😠 Avoid this gym at all cost! It's crowded, rundown, and dirty. Also, they have so many hidden fees that makes it an absolute nightmare. They charged me an extra $49 the first month I started on top of the $50 membership fee. I tried to get this waived online, on the phone, and in-person with the assi...

👍👍 I joined because UNLV's gym isn't open. I feel fortunate to have a low-priced high-quality gym nearby. Everybody is cool. The people running the place along with the fellow members. I like the outside free weight section. I now realize that lifting heavy weights and sunshine (and people) makes a sub...

😠 Visited very recently and to summarise I was wholeheartedly disappointed with this visit. I arrived two hours after opening time on a Saturday, and was the FIRST PERSON there. 😠 This place survives because it is the only place with a fitness center, showers, and sleeping rooms in the airport. The room looked nice but the person at the front desk was apathetic with zero people skills who would only say don't do this, or don't do that. I came out of the shower and sat down t...
