My mom came in with an ankle injury, and the doctor was completely unprofessional. He spoke down to my mom like she was a toddler, seemed to ignore the fact that she informed them that she had HBP, and kept saying that nobody would take care of her if she had a stroke. We will never come back to this hospital EVER again!

Took my 6 month old baby in, thinking he had RSV. The doctor literally walked in, listened to his lungs, and said “well mom, it’s just a cold”. Didn’t take temperature, or look in ears, nose or throat or test him for anything. A couple days later I take him into pediatrician because I didn’t trust that opinion & sure enough he has RSV & a ear infection. Started breathing treatments & a prescription for a ear infection that day. So happy I trusted my mommy instincts.

If I could give this place minus stars, I would. I went in there. Gave them my insurance information. Was admitted to the hospital, to “run tests.” I got a bill for 22k. I told them my insurance should have paid for it. SEVERAL TIMES!! They still never billed, I have been fighting with them, and now that amount has been turned over to a collection agency and on my credit report! I have made EVERY attempt to have them bill, and I would pay any remaining balances, but they will NOT submit to my insurance.

This review is about the ER. On this last new years eve our little one year old slipped on the bathroom rug and hit his head on the tub pretty hard and got a good sized cut. As first time parents it was pretty scary and stressful to have a baby screaming with an open wound and blood coming out. My parents took us to the hospital and needless to say my wife was feeling pretty bad about our little guy. We went to the ER and my wife spoke to the nurse at the reception desk. Instead of getting our insurance info and all that as soon as possible the nurse, an older and unfriendly woman, put on her life coach shoes and asked questions like what was our kid doing up so late and why didn't my wife love her baby. A baby learning to walk can slip and hit their head on anything anytime of day. She said much more than that and by the time my wife and child went back to be seen by the doctors she felt horrible. That nurse should have done her job instead of prying into our lives making a bad situation worse. The doctors were very friendly and helpful though and were grateful for their help, but because of the emotional abuse my wife went through at the ER desk we won't go back to this hospital. We recently had to go to the Mesquite Hospital for a similar accident and because of our positive experience there I thought I'd write this review about our contrasting experience at the BC hospital. The nurses at the Mesquite hospital were very friendly and understanding, not judgmental. It's nice to have a hospital that doesn't assume you're terrible parents.

Absolutely horrible. Only go here if you have no other choice, they don't take women or disabled people seriously. They misdiagnosed a heart attack a menopause and one person even rolled their eyes and said it was "probably nothing". My family has had so many issues at this hospital, this is just the latest.

DO NOT GO HERE! I’ve either been here for myself or with family members, and they are terrible. My most recent experience was that I had a bladder infection. They took no vitals, except for my blood pressure. They didn’t even take my temperature. I was there 30 minutes and all they did was put a strip in my pee to confirm what I already knew. I saw the doctor for less than a minute. They gave me a prescription and sent me on my way. All good until I got the bill. My insurance paid thousands but I still owed almost $1000. I kept calling and trying to pay but it always went to voicemail. They would call me during work and I asked them to call back later. They never did. I would call when I got off work (around 3 pm) and I would always get voicemail. I just found out that even though I kept trying to pay, they sent it to collection. DO NOT GO TO THIS HOSPITAL! I broke my foot with a silly accident and refused to go their ER. I waited until the next day when I could get to a competent hospital.

Went in for minor cut left with stitches, the first nurse was a student nurse who was shaky and trembling bad. He did not do a good job so the real doctor came figured out that it was worse the tendon was severed. The main doctor ended up doing three stitches inside my wound than closed it with 3 more stitches on top and proceeded to tell me that they would have to be taken out in a week. I traveled to a different state and was told that whoever did the procedure did it so the inner stitches were never going to be able to be pulled out. Horrible place to go they lacked care respect and common knowledge of the proper simple procedure process. They let their student nurses to be left alone too quick and that is a sure fire way to get a medical malpractice lawsuit. Stray away from this ER I'd have better care had I went in to Henderson.

Stitched me up just fine. Staff is wonderful. Also, the gift shop is a hidden gem. They have beautiful things, prices great and staff is wonderful. I try to go to the gift shop once a month. All proceeds go directly to the hospital. I've found many gifts in here for others and some for me too🤗😋

Dealing with the ER is an insufferable ordeal. The mind of the staff is already made up about thier patients the second they walk through the door. The primary care is just as bad that I had to walk out. Drove 45 minutes the the VA to receive the best help available.

A few years back I was hit in the head with a boat. I went to BC hospital and the guy that took me to the MRI machine tried to rape me.

For my vacation, I went to see my friend who lives in Las Vegas this past August. On August 26, 2018 I visited this hospital's emergency room late at night for a minor but painful finger infection on my right hand. We were returning from a Lake Mead dinner trip and I thought it would be faster, and even less expensive, to be seen at Bounder City Hospital than one in Las Vegas. This was such a mistake! I spent about 37 minutes in the emergency room where everyone was very nice and polite. I have no complaints about the staff or the doctor. This is why I gave them a 2 star rating and not a 1 star. After the doctor spent about 5 minutes simply looking at my finger she told me to continue to soak it, no need to open it up (at the time there was no fluid build up) and that she would write an antibiotic prescription. So far everything was great. When it was time to check out, I asked how much it would be. I assumed it would be no more than $500. They charged me $1121.00!!!!!!! I COULD NOT BELIEVE IT!!!! I was not the only one looking surprised but I will not mention who else because he/she is staff. Did I mention that I am uninsured? I do belong to a program that reimburses a portion of the fee but from them I will only receive $50.00. When I told my friends in the waiting area they immediately felt I was "ripped off." Upon my return home I had to go to an Urgent Care in Orlando. While there I was asked about previous treatment and so I told some of the medical staff about my bill from Boulder City Hospital. I wanted to get opinions of professionals. Everyone looked at me like I was crazy in disbelief of the outrageous amount. Everyone I have spoken to (medical and lay) agrees that the amount is insane for the injury, time and care I received. The Urgent Care doctor had to lance/cut my finger to drain it and only charged me $82.00!!!!!! Everyone knows Urgent Cares are high but after hearing my story and seeing my paperwork from Boulder City he had mercy on me thank God. I've called the billing department and was told it would be reviewed (this was a very nice lady I spoke to). I had to call back and so I asked for an itemization of my charges (this was a very crass lady) but to date have not gotten anything. Perhaps it's on the way since it's only been 9 days??? I am writing the CEO and the CFO about this ridiculous charge and will make a formal complaint with the Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners if they are not willing to reduce this charge. If you are visiting Las Vegas or Boulder City do not go to their hospital unless money is no issue or it is a dire emergency. One would do better just going to a Vegas or Clark County hospital and waiting one's turn; you will probably pay less money. Update, it's 9/18/18 I still haven't received an itemized bill.

5 negative stars I would give them Christine in the ER released my schizophrenic son who had a psychotic break today and had a psych hold on him because he said he was fine! You can t trust a nurse who is brain dead enough to believe a schizophrenic. Keep this info on hand incase you come across him and harm comes to you so you can sue Boulder City Hodpital

Not sure why I even use the ER in Boulder City. There’s truly not much they can do for you! I had a severe abscess tooth/ cellulitis above cheekbone. - they did no diagnostics - barely looked at me- sent me down the road to Sunrise. There- they did iv antibiotic , bloodwork, & CT of eye & sinus to make sure I wasn’t gonna die. They said “ ER in BC should close” interesting huh . I say, either kick it up a notch BC , or just keep you LTC & Phyc open. They are your money makers anyway . Most everything is transported out by ambulance or the ambulance asks “ where do you want to go” anyway . It’s more like an urgent care- sorry - but that’s my opinion

Went to the ER after a mountain bike fall. Very friendly service and got me back and x-rayed quickly. Doc was very friendly and knowledgeable and spent a ton of time with me and the other patients I could see. He even volunteered to clean my wound himself (easily an RN duty) which I can say as a healthcare provider myself is like one in a million in hospitals these days. Lol… Couldn’t have been more happy with the service I received. I’ll definitely be going back. Lol

Had to come back to ER twice in same weekend for same issue because the first doctor didn't want to bother doing his job. Got billed 1k for both ER visits and they wouldn't negotiate it down. Horrible service and double billing... just drive to Henderson if you can.

Michelle in Records is awesome. She's always friendly, helpful and quick to accommodate. I've been gathering records for my Test Site Claim and she's made it so easy. Keep up the great work! If more companies had more people like Michelle - the world would be a much better place! Thank you for the wonderful "can-do" friendly attitude and all the help ;-) !

If I could give no stars I would to the "non profit foundation" long term care facility, nursing home located within Boulder City Hospital. With my experience at the nursing home I felt patients were given too many unneeded psychiatric drugs without correct patient nor family consent. In my opinion the director of nursing for the long term care portion of the hospital working with the psychiatric doctor and admin seemed more in favor of dishonesty and lack of care of patients with the use of these drugs that many times were unneeded nor requested.

I’ve been to BCH a few times for things like food poisoning and flu over the last 5 years and always had a good experience. I’ve also taken my mother who was visiting and turned really sick from dehydration. The staff was always attentive and ran every test responsible for the situation and accurately diagnosed the illness.

Save yourself a lot of trouble and go to Henderson, the doctors here don’t care. My story is way to long for this review just know I could have died because they jumped to conclusions and sent me on my way. This hospital is dangerous!

If you try to call a loved one, be prepared to call over and over AT LEAST 6 or 7 times at minimum. They have an awful phone system and receptionist. Sometimes there is no receptionist when you call and it's a recording saying "please hold while we transpher your call" and then it disconnects you. They keep hanging up on you when you call. My mother is in long term care there, and it's hell to try to call her. When they finally answer the main number and connect me to the long term care, the nurses tell me to hold on, and then hang up on me! I've complained to the administrator before, and I guess I better try again to beg them to please quit disconnecting me when I call to talk to my mother. They treat you like a poor relation come to town. If they're this bad simply answering the phone, I imagine it would be hell being a patient there!

Absolutely best care and concern anyone could reasonably expect in the rehab section. My wife had two visits, hip replacement & then a fractured pelvis, two months apart. Same friendly atmosphere and superb staff - more like reunion with close friends!!

You need better testing & not to push people out the door! Only to find out it’s more serious than you cared to help! $1k bill for nothing! Oughta be ashamed of yourselves! Will never recommend your hospital EVER!! Current choices: pay the bill right before the holidays, no food or rent paid. Terrible hospital!

By far the best hospital to go to!! They are always quick, efficient and actually care about their patients. I have been to this hospital several times and the two doctors I’ve been treated by have been amazing. The most recent was Dr. Sergent he’s absolutely in the right career field. Thank you from the front desk staff to the nurse whom I didn’t catch her name to Dr. Sergent. This hospital deserves to be positively recognized for their service.

My husband was seeing his dr in the same area, he had a red spot on his leg and within 2 day it became painful. His dr sent him immediately to the ER, I of course couldn’t stay due to covid19 however, my husband communicated how the Dr, and nurses kept him updated on each step and how long it would take, he was later diagnosed with cellulitis and was immediately put on IV antibiotics. When he was able to come home I received a call to head Back to BCH. Therefore, if my husband was impressed that’s saying a lot.

DO NOT go here- especially if you do not have insurance. I spent less than an hour at the facility and never even left the triage room. $1,500 bill from Boulder City Hospital and another $1,211 from their emergency physician. I was offered 15% off if I paid immediately (which was better than nothing) BUT the bill was so significant for the short period of time that I was there. I really had no other options so I had to pay them - but they're total crooks to charge that amount of money for such minimal services.
