Our dog ate a bar of soap. We went to this animal focus er because it was closer. When we went there we had to wait in-line, which is responsible. We waited for 90mins. The doctor seem that she had other intentions $$$$. We asked if she could induce vomiting for our dog. Asap. She said she would, but first she said she needs to do a care plan($$$$money plan$$$$$). So she left. And a technician came in about 30min after with the plan, i asked if they did the vomiting for our dog. She said not yet. We must sign a costly care plan first. They want to focus on payment instead of focusing on our dog. I declined the close amount of $3,000. This place should change it name from Animal Focus Vet ER to MONEY FOCUS FIRST VET ER. Very extortion base. Very Predatory. Horrible business practice. We took our dog to Veterinary Emergency & Critical Care on Tropicana and Durango . The first thing they did immediately was take our dog to get his care. No waiting, what a difference!

This was my second visit to this hospital as it is closest to my home and I would only come here if it was an absolute emergency. My 11 week puppy was having a seizure, vomiting, and loss of balance. I rushed him to this hospital and called on my way to make sure they were open. The tech administrator answered and informed me that it would be a $450 dollar deposit to just have him seen. Nonetheless we still brought him in, however I questioned why they would charge so much before actually providing him with an exam. Therefore I requested to speak to the doctor. They informed me that the doctor does not speak to patients and I would need to wait and can only communicate with the technician. I found it odd that an animal hospital would be more concerned about money than the care of a potentially dying puppy. When I expressed this they told me they would now refuse help and I would have to find another hospital. Please stay away from this place. They should be shut down immediately.

I brought my dog here at 3am Sunday. The woman at the front desk was compassionate and friendly. There were no other people in the waiting room. The doctor was getting ready for surgery so a male tech came out to triage my dog. He didn't think he was an emergency because "his belly is distended" and told me it would be at least a 4 hour wait. My dog died a few hours later.

Horrible experience!! The vet was insensitive cold and detached. I only spoke to him for 2 minutes and he refuses to come back to answer any further questions! The vet tech Lisa was rude disrespectful and dismissive. She disregarded me, my concerns, and my dog's well being! She also badmouthed me and other clients in the front office assuming she wasn't heard while pet suffered!! She refused to give my dog the proper medication/ treatment because I wouldn't pay their inflated prices ($1800 to hospitalize her 12 hours or $3300 to for 31 hours!!!) Price gouging!!! Instead she allowed my 5 month old puppy to suffer for 3 hours!!!! She lacked professionalism, empathy, and decorum!! This place is only out to get money! They do not care about you or your pet!!! They're only interested in overcharging and strong arming pet owners in crisis!DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE!!!!! They better hope my dog's prognosis didn't change and/or worsen in the 3 hour period they didn't treat her!!!! Thank God I was able to take my pet to another hospital to care for her!! For clarity let's compare pricing. This so called hospital attempted to charge me almost $1k for blood work when the other hospital charged $181.00 for blood work for two days 🤔🤬Over $900 for medication that I paid less than $400 for 🤔🤬 $3300 for 31hours in the hospital but I paid $1500 for a two day hospitalization with treatment. OUTRAGEOUS!!! CRAZY!!! Will never go back here or recommend this place!! They take advantage of the community!

Had a horrible experience with this emergency vet. Brought the dog in for a emergency because she got in to some groceries and ate things she wasn’t supposed to. Took the pup in to this place and they were supposed to induce vomiting before food had time to digest (we brought her in within 15 minutes of her eating it) they took the pup in and had us wait in the parking lot. After a few hours they sent out a girl with pricing and a outrageous amount. After speaking with the dr and him pretending like he cares about the animal and trying to sell more things. I asked him if the dog has thrown up yet because she has been in for a long time. His reply was no we have to collect payment first. If they told me I would have paid right away at the desk and not waited for hours so the dog can digest the food and get sick. Long story short they had the dog in for hours and didn’t do anything while the food was slowly digesting and possibly poisoning the dog. I told them I will pay what ever just help the dog. Once I made the payment they kept the dog overnight. Lucky dog was fine. After going to the regular vet next day she didn’t believe the treatment and also didn’t believe they charged as over a grand to do the treatment. It is absolutely sad how little some people care about the animals and just pretend to care for the $ and they are even not good at it. Never going here again.

My dog Daisy was having a decreased appetite for weeks and recently I came home and noticed her tummy was extremely bloated and firm. Since it was around the holidays and pretty late in the evening there were not very many places that would see her. I called a couple different places and they were all telling me the wait would be 2-3 hours just to be seen. I called Animal Focus and was told I can come in immediately. Upon arriving, the receptionist Lisa was quick to get us set up in the system and have me taken back. The vet techs and the doctor were detailed in explaining everything that was going on and what steps needed to be taken. Daisy had to be admitted over night and had surgery performed. I called a few times throughout her stay for updates and was always informed of everything going on. After picking her up she looked a whole lot better and was back to her happy self. I’m thankful for the kind and compassionate staff at this facility that I know you won’t find in most places. The bill was relatively on the larger side but I understand since they are open overnight and on the holidays. Despite this, I would recommend they provide payment plans other than care credit because no one should be placed in the position where they can’t help their pet because of financial stability. Overall, I am very appreciative of the staff and their hard work.

If I could give zero stars I would. My family and I will forever be traumatized by the experience we had when we made the panicked and terrible decision to bring our critically ill dog here two weeks ago. I have always believed that most people are inherently good and decent, especially in times of fear and grief..I don't believe that any longer. The staff and veterinarian, Dr. Owens, showed absolutely no empathy, berated us for our pet being overweight, and recommended needless 'diagnostic' tests, knowing from the time we arrived that our precious dog had suffered a terrible stroke and was suffering. They even cut his toenails after we told them how terrified he was of the procedure just to see if they could get his poor paralyzed body to react. They let him lie in the back for hours and hours, scared and confused and most likely in pain, after sending us home and telling us they would call. They refused to let us spend any time with him to give him comfort until they called us to come back down so we could be there when he was euthanized. These people are monsters. They DO NOT CARE about your pets, only about how much care credit funds you are approved for so they can run their bill as far up to the limit as possible. I IMPLORE everyone who cares about their precious pets to stay away from this horrible awful place. We are scarred for the rest of our lives.

I brought my dog in thinking she had a blockage in her bladder. I told them everything from our regular vet, and that she needed X-rays. They take her back for two hours and come back with an estimate that is nearly 3 thousand dollars and will not do X-rays without performing all the tests, which were already completely unnecessary for the situation. They were more comfortable letting us leave not knowing what was wrong with our baby than just doing X-rays and providing some kind of diagnosis. The $3,000 was more important to them than the care of our animal. While in the lobby waiting to leave, I overheard the employees at the desk talking about not sending people to their competitors and how the phone calls are monitored so they shouldn’t suggest the competition anyway. This is the most unprofessional and disgusting behavior I have ever had the misfortune of hearing. It’s absurd for animal focus vet to say they care about animals when they very clearly only care about making money regardless of how distraught you are. We took my dog to her regular vet as soon as they opened and they diagnosed her with only an X-ray for $250 and immediately scheduled surgery. If you are having an emergency with your pet please save yourself the time and frustration and take them straight to VECC. EDIT/UPDATE: after going to her regular vet and reading her outtake papers, I realized our normal clinic recommends animal focus for emergencies in the event they are closed and you have an emergency. They will recommend their competition, while Animal Focus Vet only cares about money. I heard someone literally LAUGH that they didn’t have the time to have someone come in with their dog with bloat. This vets office if horrible and doesn’t care in the slightest about you or your pets well-being.

Staff was helpful and friendly. Prices were more than anyone could imagine. We walked away with a large bill and still have to take our dog to own vet because they could not fix the problem. Felt like they took advantage of the need for services and your love for your pet.

Avoid this place at all costs. Based on our experience & now after reading others reviews, I legitimately am not convinced that a doctor is even back there. We instead dealt with one of the most unprofessional vet techs I’ve ever met… lackadaisical attitude, dirty fingernails, unable to clearly describe medical issues… And that was allegedly the person going back and forth between us & the Dr. We were presented with a joke of an estimate. After all of it, we paid upfront for one option and eventually got our dog back with an open, uncovered wound, no medicine to take home and still no face to face with the doctor. He was still bleeding when I got him home. I didn’t even realize til this morning that we were never given a receipt with a detailed breakdown of what procedures were allegedly done. Took him to our regular vet today, they addressed the issue, cleaned & then stapled the wound closed, and gave me antibiotics. The doctor came out and explained everything. That is how a professional vet works. I feel horrible for anyone who’s scared for their fur-baby and takes them to this place in hopes of helping them. Go literally anywhere else that’s open.

Our 1 year old Labrabull ate a fairly big eye out of a stuffed animal and I was very concerned as she threw up a treat afterwards. The girl at the front desk was very nice and personable. I brought the other eye from the toy with me. Dr Amy was amazing. I asked about an exray and she told me honestly that it wasn't necessary but they'd do one if I wanted. She explained that the piece of plastic would pass but to keep an eye on her. I really appreciate the honesty! Hard to find nowadays.

I took in my baby Roscoe late Thursday night because he had just had a major surgery and his original vet sent him home with us. He had on and off health issues all his life and it looks like he was just too tired to continue on. The doctors and vet staff worked hard to get him up and running again but at 2:04 AM on Friday I received a call from the doctor saying his livers and kidneys were beginning to fail. I rushed there, not knowing what to expect as this was truly my first dog who has gone through this. The staff, everyone in general made the process of saying goodbye one last time as good as it could be. I wasn’t rushed to leave, I was showed compassion, and most of all they eased his pain the minute he got there. I miss him so much, but I will never forget what they did for my baby. Thank you for allowing me to let him go in peace.

Absolutely horrible experience, what a nightmare, most unorganized place I’ve ever been, the doctor and the nurse doesn’t do anything helpful, doing exam for 120$ per dog and came back with no results, then send us a treatment that’s 4000$ by just vomiting the dog, we verbally rejected and then told us to go to somewhere else after 3hrs of waiting, which wasted the best time of my dog to get medication. I really don’t know what’s the point of this facility still opens. Close them down.

I am really impressed by the team at Animal Focus Emergency Vet. Dr. Hiscocks was excellent at stabilizing my dog. He suggested a couple of test to make that possible. The rest of the staff. receptionist and technicians were outstanding as well. I would like to mention Tiffany, Lisa and Ivy the late crew as particularly outstanding for being caring and attending to things. Ivy was so good to my dog, Lily, thank you! What a great group of people. The emergency hospital was especially busy that night and like ER they triage and take the most critical first. I never felt like mine or my dogs needs were not being taken care of as well, I did wait. I thought the prices were fair and my money was well spent on my dog. In emergencies, this is my top pick. although not the closest to me. I would go here again and recommend them to others as well base on the care my dog and I received.

I had to take my dog in for an emergency suture, and when I was given the estimate my jaw dropped. The list of blood tests urinalysis and other fees brought the total to between $2,200 and $2500 dollars. Fees included disposable non-latex glove, surgical mask, and other basic items. The blood work alone was going to cost over $500. In my opinion these prices are inflated beyond reasonable measure way more than the 35% markup that I was expecting. I ended up taking my dog home, and scheduling a visit with our regular vet in the morning, who quoted $500 for the same procedures. My two star rating only applies to the pricing. I found the staff to be very friendly, accommodating and they did their best to explain why things were going to be so expensive. Again this just felt like predatory pricing.

I went here with my dog when she suddenly wouldn't stop throwing up. they told me she need 3000 in tests done. I tod them I cant afford that I only went there because everyone else was closed. they were very cold about everything and said my dog probably has pancreatitis and to take her to her normal vet on Monday. We went home and my princess died 3 hours later. Any vet with experience should have known my dog was dying. These people are either incompetent or just greedy either way they shouldn't be open.

I just lost my best friend two nights ago as she lost her battle with her respiratory infection. My boyfriend realized that her lung had collapsed at 3am Saturday night and we knew she was in terrible pain. It was the hardest decision I've ever had to make, but I knew she needed to be euthanized. We rushed her to this hospital and I am so happy with the care that not only Rosie received, but that we received. I was inconsolable and the vet tech that helped us was beyond nice and caring. I knew that my Rosie was going to be taken care of before her passing. We said our goodbyes and I am just so thankful for the love and help of the staff here. I don't remember the nurse's name but you know who you are, and you greatly comforted me during an extremely hard time in my life, thank you so much.

My dog has a history of getting stones that he can not pass. He had this issue and I took him here and explained what the issue was. Everyone was polite but they would not do anything without running $1800 of tests and then a few hours of waiting for someone to read an X-Ray. I know whats wrong with him and he needed to be catheterized before his bladder burst (it has happened once). Its a ticking timebomb but they were more interested in $1800 in tests. If I had walked in and said "I have no idea what is wrong with him" then I can see the battery of tests, but they cared more about their $1800 then listening to me. I left promptly and went to another emergency vet a few miles away and they listened to me, took the issue seriously, catheterized him and x-rayed him, sent us home with an empty bladder, confirmation of the issue, Meds, and had us schedule surgery with our vet all within about 2 or 3 hours and for less then half of what this place wanted just to do initial diagnostics. In the process, they found another issue that needs addressed as well. (and it didnt take them $1800 in diagnostics to figure it out). DONT GO TO THIS PLACE. They are more interested in money then your pet. MY PUP IS ALIVE TODAY BECAUSE I WALKED OUT OF THIS PLACE and found another emergency vet who listened and cared about his life first and money second.

They was super helpful with getting are frenchie almost back! They could have saved his life! But they kicked him out cause they close at 8am! We paid 2600 for 24hr care but only got 12 hr care cause they close at 8am. So I had to pick him up and find a different place for him to go.. they should have kept for 24hrs so he could survive especially with spending so much money for such little care! Vets/owners have no compassion for animals like they say! It’s all bout how much money you have!! And at this place it doesn’t matter cause they will kick them out at a certain time just when your pet is starting to do better!! They have no urgency to save lives! This place almost saved my dog then kicked him out! And now he gone!! You could have saved him!!

I know going to emergency can mean a long wait. But my wait was longer than it should have been. And they got my car info and email info incorrect. And even though they let other people sit in the waiting room they made me wait in my car. Alone after 10pm. If they had been quicker, Kinder and more considerate I might have done some of the procedures they recommended. But after 4 hours I left doing the out patient version because I felt like they just kept too many loops open to charge me more. They were kind enough to apply my examination fee to the bill. That was helpful. But the fear they had over one set of wounds my dog had over others was wrong. Those closed up and looked fine overnight. Ones they said were abrasions I had to have another vet take a look at. I’m sure they do amazing work and love animals. But their process for seeing patients and prices is more than I experienced in LA.

This is going to be long. lol I brought in my best friends pit after giving her a treat that somehow maybe cut the inside of her mouth. She was trying to hack something up, while rubbing her face on the floor. It looked like it irritated her mouth. She was distressed and trying to get whatever it was out, or unstuck. No respiratory issues. Just the inside of her mouth. I bring her in. She immediately stops any distressed behavior. They take her back. I just needed them to check in her mouth. If anything, follow up with an X-ray. Because she digested something… These guys said she’d need a full panel blood test, urine sample, on top of five other types of tests. I heard them out because they’re the professionals. But, I brought her in for something oral. It was visible… why all the tests. Their response in short. “So we can get a better view at the bigger picture, make sure there’s nothing underlying before we continue. So we know what’s going on in order to form a treatment plan.” A treatment plan? Open her mouth and look please. Then continues to tell me he still hasn’t been able to look in her mouth fully. It’s been over 45 minutes. I said bring her back I’ll open her mouth for you. He said no, he couldn’t do that. Then said it’s go big or go home, better to be safe than sorry. I then asked. Well can you check her mouth, then do an X-ray. THEN, follow up tests, if necessary. No. They said no, because they need to know more in depth what’s going on with her before proceeding. After talking to her owner on the phone, we both agreed that if she wasn’t hacking in the back then I’d take her back home. Whatever it was passed. And if not, I’d find a different clinic. Frankie is all good. Whatever it was, was a freak little moment. Saved us $1,300. Max… minimum would’ve been $1,090. Unless your animal is seriously injured. Don’t take them here. They were all very nice, but it didn’t sit right with me.

Cat jumped off high stool and was limping. Partner was very concerned. Turned out to be a soft tissue injury but we paid for peace of mind. $100 fee upfront for exam by vet. $350 fee for 3 view radiograph and $300 for stat read by radiologist. Additional ~$130 fee for sedation. Including various labs to assess cbc and liver function panel prior to prescribing medications. I don't recall the exact fee for pain medication injection but it was around $130. Pain medication prescription was $90. Total was ~$1350. It hurt paying that much so just be aware of the potential cost before going. The front office, techs, and Dr. William were very kind however. Took approximately 6-7 hrs due to two more critical patients. Possibly ask if the ER vet is comfortable interpreting radiographs for obvious fracture/deformity to save the cost of a rads read.

I came in with my poor rat Tesla. He had fallen and gravely injured himself. They were comforting during my time there and it really helped me have a more clear mind to make the right decision for him. I haven't gotten that empathic service at any other late night vet. Losing a baby is sad but they'll take good care of them in any situation. The tech helped me pick out a nice wooden urn and after life package. A week later, his ashes were ready and the place they go through does a lot of beautiful things to commemorate your fur kid.

I drove from St. George Utah to bring my best friend, my heart that has saved my life... These people prey on that emotion, it is so disgusting to run a business like that. They told me my baby was a level 3 critical $2500 price tag after taking her in the back for 2 minutes. She had come in contact with some household lye, nothing too serious. But I had called animal poison line and had an active case number, they didn't even look at her because she didn't even have any lacerations in her mouth. When they told me she was in the most critical condition I completely lost it, only to find out at another 24 hour clinic she was going to be just fine. I don't know how these people sleep at night, so so wrong...

Friendly at first but when I declined $900 for just blood work and $1500 for X-rays for my 9year old dog. I asked if they can give her pain meds until I can get her to her normal vet they refused. I agreed to an injection cost $405 for a med that may last 8 hour. These people only care about the money why would you not give her meds until I can take her to her normal vet. I understand this is an emergency clinic but they are ridiculous high and rude if you question the prices. $20 bucks to just dispose of a needle. Don’t take your pet here these people only care about money not your pet. If they get another animal in your animal becomes second and they leave like they did my poor baby girl was just pushed a side stuck in a kennel. They said 20 minutes and it’s been an hour. HORRIBLE HERE

I wouldn't even give this place one star to be honest. This place is init fully for the $. They don't have any concern for your pet until you swipe your credit card. And even then it is a very cold hearted environment that felt very disheartening. I felt as if I was in hostage negotiations for my dog that they took out of my arms and wouldn't give back until I paid 120.00 and I hadn't even seen a vet or anything and never did even after paying 120. Please if you love your fur baby don't go here it's not a caring place you want your best friend to be taken care of by animal living people not cold hearted money gouging robots. I may just start holding a sign up in front of this place that is how bad it is. On a good note...it was clean. Lol

My son and daughter had to take my dog in for an emergency visit because he was bit by another dog while I was not home. The punctures were very superficial, but they wanted to make sure he was okay. They quoted my kids an estimate from $1,200 to $3,400 for them to take care of the dog. My kids got me on the phone so I could ask questions and Jimmy was extremely aggressive in describing the quotes to me. I could definitely tell that it was inconvenient for him to give me the information I was asking for and he didn't like that I was questioning the treatment and the amount of money it would cost. I told my kids to get an antibiotic shot and a pain shot for the pup so we could take him to his normal doctor in the morning. The emergency vet only ended up giving the dog the antibiotic shot, no pain meds, and they didn't even clean the wounds so they could see what they were looking at when quoting a $1,200 visit. They ended up paying $154. We will never go back to this emergency vet. By the way, we went to our normal vet the following day. They examined him and gave us antibiotics, painkillers, and what amounts to being Neosporin for dogs all for $100. That was the price just to walk in and have the dog seen at this emergency room.

DO NOT GO TO THIS VET. Save your money and stress. I took my dog here for an emergency. He had a previous eye surgey for his eye coming out of the socket and while in recovery at home his stitches came open late at night and this vet office was the closest option. I rushed him there and they took him to a room. I was not allowed to see the dr only talk to him on the phone "due to covid." They told us the best option to remove his eye because there was significant damage and I agreed and told them to go ahead and remove the eye and paid the $1800 that they wanted paid for the procedure plus the $100 emergency visit fee. They did a procedure and told me again when I picked him up the next morning, after they tried to charge me an additional 500 dollars that I didn't owe them, that they did remove the eye I cant tell at this point because its stitched shut. This whole time I am under the impression that they have removed the eye because that's what they told me and my mother who called to help with payment. They asked me to sign the paperwork and my mistake was not reading it carfully as I was very stressed and emotional about the situation. The paperwork they had me sign had a note saying they discussed what to do with me and that I declined the removal of the eye which is not true because i did tell them to remove the eye and they forwarded that information to my dogs regular vet despite telling me and mother they were removing the eye. When we took our dog to have his eye checked 2 Weeks after the surgery at his regular vet we found out they did not remove the eye like they said they were going to. When we went to confront them they said they had paperwork signed to protect them and we were out of luck. Now my dog has to unnecessarily go through a 3rd surgery at my expense.

This vet closes at 8am, I took my dog in at about 6am. They required I pay the office visit first no problem 100.00. Want to mention the front office staff very nice and the tech was very nice too. However, I paid for a vet he called me from back “I was out front”. Told me the plan. Then again the tech comes out to discuss my options. If I had opted for the entire package it was 770 and change. MY DOG WAS ITCHING. I chose just the shot 158.00. I think I am like most dog owners. My dog is my baby and I would have liked to at least meet the dr

Took my cat for an emergency visit since he scratched his eye. They wanted to charge us 1,300$ for unnecessary blood work and treatment. You have to pay this cost up front before they will tell you exactly what is wrong with your animal which was pretty concerning since he obviously scratched his eye, but in their words “it could also be something else”. I decided to only get my cat a pain shot and cone until I could take him to his normal vet in the morning. His normal vet was able to identify in two minutes that my cat had an ulcer on his eye from a scratch and even showed us close up pictures, all before we paid any money for the visit. The medications and examination fee came out to 200 dollars, and after a few days my cat is healing beautifully and looks and seems to feel so much better. The staff was nice and friendly which is the only reason I am giving two stars. But it seems they are taking advantage of distressed pet owners with unnecessary testing that turns a 200 dollar visit into 1,300. Absolutely crazy.

A little over a week ago, I had an unfortunate and devastating experience of putting my dog of 12 years down. I woke up in the middle of the night to his distress, scrolled through my phone anxiously to find an emergency vet that was open. I’m not sure why this place has less than 3 stars - but my experience was unmatched. I rushed my boy in only to be greeted right away by the their outstanding vet techs. They took my boy back immediately. After about 20 minutes, they called my husband and I back to see him. We were greeted by Dr. Hitchcocks once we went back to the room. After discussing my boy’s condition and the treatment options, we decided that we wanted to let him go, peacefully . Everyone was so caring and empathetic. Fast forward a week later, I’m still having trouble dealing with my pets death. I made a phone call to this center to speak to the Dr with some questions I had. Honestly, I didn’t really expect anyone would return my phone call. But Dr Hitchcock returned my call asap, answered all my questions, and put my heart at ease. They are so compassionate, understanding that our pets are our family members. I commend you all for the work you guys do, the vet techs and Dr Hitchcock were phenomenal.

The staff is amazing! They were very nice and informative even when I called ahead to get some advice. They handled my high energy pup with love and care even though she was trying to lick everyone’s faces off. I’m so grateful in how they handled our scary situation and educated us on what to do next

Kayla the technician was very friendly. She explained things very well and was a true joy to talk to. The same with the doctor, I did not get his name, but he also was very friendly and explained things very clearly about the suture removal.

Brough my baby, Tallulah in as an emergency on a Sunday afternoon. I was very grateful they could see us. After blood it showed Lu was in stage 4 kidney failure and pancreatic disease. They gave me all of my options and we decided that she was in a lot of pain and putting her down was the best choice. Everyone from start to finish was professional and I could tell they really cared about Tallulah and her comfort.

They got my pet in immediately after she had a seizure. They were very thorough about their explanations and were very caring. I expected to pay a larger amount since it was an ER, it was still less than expected.

A very helpful and caring staff, they took great care in checking our pup and letting me know what my options were going forward. The prices are a little higher than expected but they are willing to work with you to make sure you pet gets the right treatment before they go home.

This place was amazing. Dr Odey was very professional and has an amazing bedside manner. Restores my faith in veterinarian services here in Las Vegas. Thanks to all the staff for taking care of my little baby.

Late last night, our 5 month old golden retriever experienced a reaction to something where his face/lip swellled immediately and his eyes turned red. We immediately called around and we’re ultimately able to get him over to Animal Focus, which was just down the street. We were concerned with potential oleander exposure from a neighbor’s tree or that he chewed a twig from an apricot tree. Upon arrival, the staff was super friendly and took our info and initial exam fee. Not too long after, they took our little guy back for an exam and observation. The vet tech and front office staff were great. Dr. Williams came to speak with us and went over her observations and recommendations. We developed a plan together that we were comfortable with. We were in/out in under three hours and paid a fair price for the exam and treatment. We are so thankful for their service to our community when we needed them most. It was a scary ordeal. I’m sure they deal with distraught animal parents who aren’t at their best on a regular basis and probably aren’t treated as nice as they should, but their kindness to us should be recognized because we really appreciated their help.

I came in at 3am just before Christmas because my cat was screaming in agony. I was under the impression that he had hurt his leg or hip. It turned out he was seriously blocked up. Yasmin and Ivy at the front desk were very compassionate, sympathetic, and helpful. Somehow, against all the doctors advice and assessment, he managed to pass whatever was blocking him and recovered on his own. Ironically making my panicked trip to the ER kind of redundant. That said, it was a terrifying situation to come home to late at night and to confront alone. I was and remain very grateful to the staff there, if only for the emotional support. Thank you both again!

We brought our puppy, Hazel, here 2 nights in a row with some really bizarre symptoms and although we haven’t been able to come to a diagnosis, Dr. Hiscocks and his whole team were so incredibly accommodating and caring towards us and our puppy. They did everything they possibly could, to figure out what’s wrong, and did whatever they could to treat her, keeping her stable overnight. They told us to take her to a neurologist just in case the issue persists, but the kindness of this crew is unmatched at any other similar place i’ve been to. They called us with updates and made sure we were comfortable to call at any hour of the night for updates on Hazel. They just made us extremely comfortable altogether, and if there is ever another emergency I wouldn’t trust anyone else. I hope I never have to see them again (obviously because i just want my dog to be okay) but if i’m forced into another emergency situation, I’ll feel at peace knowing that they are available to help. Thank you guys for making sure Hazel was okay, we appreciate you more than you know.

I took my new Baby Luna-Italia, due to severe cough and difficulty breathing. The staff was Amazing, from front desk, to Dr. Owens. The help and understanding they provided was amazing. I have had to visit them before in the past for a different puppy that unfortunately passed about, but my overall experience has been great. I would highly recommend them for all of your animal emergency needs!

Great staff who work miracles. 😭❤️ Just know that you're paying for the convenience of them being open in the middle of the night and the fact that they can stabilize your pet that is literally on the verge of death. To me, it's worth it because I'd do whatever for my pets.

By far the hardest, saddest Christmas in my 37 years of life. Our 12 yr old lab (who has been battling cancer) finally was ready to give up the fight. From the lady who answered the phone, to the lady who opened the door for us. They’re the best in my eyes. I felt nothing but compassion. Nothing fake, everything real here. The doctor (I can’t even remember his name, was blur) THIS DOCTOR WAS AWESOME. Smart, kind, compassionate. The best tact and bedside manner. Nobody wants to put a family member “down”, especially on Christmas. This practice, these employees…. These are good people. We need more people like this in this world. ❤️

everyone here is very nice. i took my cat in at 8pm and they took care of her within 30 minutes. my only complaint is the doctor seems to want to preform the most care vs the best care. spent over 2500 and they want me to grab more x-rays since i “already invested this much we don’t want anything to revert” which could be necessary definitely, however the only reason they can give me for most the treatment was because the doctor thought it was what is best. i appreciate everyone who took care of my kitty, they were all very nice. just seem very money hungry and not like they want the best for your animals, just what costs the most.

All of the staff there are really cool people. It was like talking to my friends instead of just business people. My dog got high and stayed overnight and was treated and they charged me 1.2k. I find that ridiculously high so if you don’t have insurance I wouldn’t recommend this place for treatment unless you have more than enough money. Besides the cost everything was easy and smooth. My dog was back to normal the next day. Also other reviews I’ve read and they all agree they charge you so much and almost refuse to give you service if you don’t pay. It’s scary thinking if I couldn’t pay my dog could’ve had a seizure and died. Overall besides the expenses I do recommend

Around midnight June 20th, 2023 Animal Focus Vet tried to charge us $3600.00 (later reduced to $2700.00) for a cut on my dog’s neck. We ended up going to another 24 hour Veterinary Emergency + Critical Care (VE + CC) who provided cleaning, lab work, staples , and antibiotics for $327.59 (without any hassle or negotiation). Our dog (Billy Bob) is doing great by the way! Animal Focus Vet’s initial estimate had 2 pages of single-spaced charges (FOR A CUT) that included the likes of kidney screening, 1k for bloodwork, X-rays, etc. They refused to provide ANY stitches/staples for less than $2700.00. When we pressed them as to why the charges were exponentially higher than typical… Animal Focus Vet’s nurse claimed that the their owner demands the “highest level of care.” To which I opine, “They’ve turned bill padding into a virtue at Animal Focus Vet.” I’m convinced that Animal Focus Vet is a predatory clinic taking advantage of people at their most vulnerable. Late night/early morning veterinarian emergencies don’t have a lot of competition. I expect to pay a premium for “emergency” services. I don’t expect to be quoted prices that are 8-11 times MORE than a competitor providing the SAME “emergency” services. If you are the type of person who likes to take your car to the tire shop to fix a flat…only to be told you would first have to fully replace the engine and transmission before looking at the at that nail sticking out of the tread…then Animal Focus Vet is the place for you… Everyone else is now warned! P.S. The photo of Billy Bob is after receiving treatment at a competitor’s clinic

I've had 2 of my 3 dogs taken care of here (one of them has been twice). The staff is friendly and very informative. I felt they really cared about my furbabies, especially when they recognized him. My dog was not afraid to go with staff. Hands down, the best care they have received on the emergency level.

I believe one of the issues this veterinarian services offers is the lack of professionalism. I recently had to have my cat euthanized, and the person coming in, which I thought was going to be a veterinarian, was a technician. He look like he just struck with lightning, maybe on drugs, and when I asked how the process of euthanizing, my cat was going to be. He proceeded in a way that was an excusable. I’ll never bring my cat here for emergency services or any other services available. I’m not sure they really have the professional people there that they say they do. It just looks like a lot of amateurs. Trying to run an Emergency Veterinarian service. If you care about your pet, do not bring them here.
