2021/2022 UPDATE: Sun City has changed their policies for dentals. They redid their dental suite and it is very nice. Honey was the first appointment at 7:00 a.m. last month and got to come home around 3:00 p.m. Much better than 13 hours. This was my only issue with Sun City so they now get 5 stars from me again. They took great care of Honey last year when she was having some tummy problems. 2020: I initially gave Sun City a great review but I am rewriting it due to events that occurred today. I dropped off my 10-year-old Chihuahua (who is terrified of the vet) at 6:00 a.m. this morning for a dental cleaning. I just got a call at 4:00 p.m. saying they are JUST NOW starting on her. She has been terrified, shaking, and starving (20 hours without food) for 9.5 hours. No matter what I say to their staff, they will not make any accommodations for her or change their policy. I feel this is cruel treatment of an animal and will be going to a different vet from now on.

Had an appointment for my Dad's dog yesterday at 4pm for a rabies vaccination. When we got there, they immediately greeted us, and after getting Snoopy weighed, we went to the exam room. The doctor and assistant were friendly and knowledgeable. The best part was we were done by 4:15pm (if only doctor visits for us humans were that efficient and prompt). From this experience, this animal hospital is highly recommended.

We lost our bulldog "Cookie" 2 weeks ago. The doctor stayed 3 hours after they closed to attempt to bring her back. I'm sorry I forgot the doctor's name, but I will never forget effort and commitment. Thank you. 5 stars !!

Had what I considered an emergency this morning. My sheep, a doodle ate something that I wasn’t sure if it would make him sick or kill him. I called up Sun City Animal Hospital who I’ve been going to for over 20 years and the young lady at the counter told me they’re all busy, but I can call up poison control for animals, I know I can do that for $100 charge or take my pet to the doggy ER for a $600 plus charge. When I call my vet and think it’s an emergency and it should only take them a minute to ask a vet and I get pushback like this, it’s unacceptable !!! I think everybody should be aware of the way front office is running this clinic. They could care less if your pet is having emergency because they’re all busy and when you speak to the office manager, her main concern is to let you know that her employee was doing her job, very poorly if I may say so myself. Everyone please keep this in the back your heads the next time your pet has an emergency. Hopefully you get better service than I did.

Friendly and helpful staff. Brouht ny new kitten there for her 1st well visit. Everyone was sweet and you could tell they all enjoy working with there. I was in/out quickly considering how busy they were. Parking can be a challenge with spots very close together.

Staff are super receptive and kind and helpful and explain complex issues in a way pet owners can understand. Despite some very rude customers, they are always respectful and do their best under tough conditions.

Very good neighborhood Veterinarian service. My Dog Cooper has been going there since he was brought home from his Breeder in California. The office lets you know as shots are due or what services are needed by sending reminder cards. Very easy to stay on top of your dogs health. A few times when they’re busy it has seemed as a little bit of Short tempers exist but that’s with any office staff that becomes overrun, as with any retail business trying to solve issues and help. The overall business model is very good. A key to your success is to make your appointment first thing in the morning, before the staff gets behind as with any medical office.

Yesterday my dog ripped one of his nails while playing, but he ripped it halfway off and way up at the paw. Hours later it still wouldn't stop reopening and bleeding every time he stepped, and my vets couldn't squeeze him in. I brought my dog to Sun City around 3:30pm as a walk-in, and they make the time to see him, then sedate him and do the minor surgery/work he needed to cut off/fix his nail all before they closed at 7pm! This vet was super nice from when I first called to see if they can really do walkins, all the way to picking him back up at the end. Everything is curbside right now, and they give you a tablet to video chat the doctor. Also - the price for all of this was so much lower than expected! I didn't even make the deductible for my dog's Healthy Paw insurance. I barely made the minimum requirement to be able to put the cost on my CareCredit! I 100% recommend these vets.

My favorite Vet for 4.5 yrs. moved 1.5 hr west, still drive to Sun City for my animals. Love front & back office too!

We recently had to say goodbye to our 20 year old dog. Everyone at Sun City Animal Hospital was compassionate, patient, and walked us through everything with kindness. As hard as this trip to the vet was, they made us feel warm and taken care of. Especially our Teddy on his last day. As we were leaving I happened to turn around and noticed the candle on the counter was lit for us. Such a touching gesture.

Great Staff that really cares about your pet. I have had 6 German Shepard dogs over the past 35 years and after first going to Dr Ghuman in 2020, without question, she is one of the most compassionate and knowledgeable Veterinarians I have ever met. Thank you!

It’s always a pleasure being there because I know my baby is in good hands!! From the assistants to the doctor, they show him love all throughout his appointments!! So happy I chose Sun City Animal Hospital to be my place!!

The staff is always kind. This clinic gets very busy and no matter what they take the time to answer all my questions. I know my pups are in good hands with them. I have four small dogs and I've been going to Sun City for many years. They have staff that have been there the entire time. 10 or so years as well as new staff and everyone treats us like we're family. I really can't say enough about this group of hard working people.

Really great veterinarian office. Just went in to get an ear infection and some other issues checked on our dog. Didn't over charge or insist on running a battery of useless tests. Gave us some ear drops and good info about possible allergies, and we're all better now. Thank you Dr. Sareet!

Read on: Most of you didn't know I was very sick and in the hospital for three days. Mommy and Daddy visited me every day and sometimes twice a day. The Staff at Sun City Hospital took great care of me and hand fed me (I'm spoiled) Thank you I am feeling much better! Love you Mommy and Daddy!

This is the only place my dog will go and feel comfortable. They are so patient with him. My pup is very shy, and can clam up, as well as bark if he feels uncomfortable. When he first went the owner and the other staff sat on the floor, and allowed him to go to them. He did so good! I love this place! I literally get sad if I can’t get him boarding too. When picking him up he barely wants to leave and doesn’t even bark. He is very relaxed. My pup goes there for shots too, and it’s very reasonable. If you’re booking for overnight, book months in advance because it gets filled up very quickly.

I have been taking my pup to Sun City Animal Hospital for 2 1/2 years Dr. Knehr is extremely knowledgeable and caring. He found a serious condition with my dog that required a specialist in Arizona to perform a procedure on him. Two years later, my puppy is doing great and we continue to go to Sun City Animal Hospital for annual check ups, vaccinations and occasional allergy shots. The entire staff at this facility are extremely caring and kind, my pup especially loves Jenna. The waiting room and exam rooms are extremely clean, the staff gets you in and out quickly and prices are reasonable. I highly recommend Sun City Animal Hospital!

Never have difficulty getting an appointment. Caring staff and doctors who really seem to enjoy their work. Efficient, as well.

They always take amazing care of our babies. They follow up with you and keep you updated when they have your pets in their care. We’ve been coming here for years and will continue :)

Don't like that they take your pet to another room, away from your view, for exam, shots, whatever. Why?? Use excuse that they might get bit or some other excuse. And if you should question why, they get a bit defensive / irritated. There is no reason to remove from your sight. Do they muzzle, restrain, what. ? I'm over 75, had many pets and have never seem such a policy.!

The staff was extremely kind with my Stormi. And our Veterinary Kate Grenager, DVM was one of the best that I've dealt with in all my years having pets. She went above and beyond helping me with Stormi when we discovered she had Parvo. Because of her, you have a customer for life.

The best! My experience at Sun City Animal Hospital with Dr. Knear was very positive. He was friendly, thorough and very informative when discussing the health of my 15-year old dog. This was my first time at this practice. I wanted to try them out because of my daughter's recommendation. When making the appointment, the office staff kindly offered to get our records from our previous vet. At the appointment, I was so pleasantly surprised (you might even say shocked) that they actually had gotten the records and they were also in the computer (I've had a much worse experience with records transfers at another veterinary practice.)

Amazing place to take your pet. Decided to change vets because the one we had was not willing to help with our pet's prescription. The first visit was free and quick, plus my dog's prescription cost me only $ 5. The staff was very friendly and informative and the vet was caring toward my dog, even going so far as to ask if I wanted her nails trimmed. She then worked on my dog's prescription order and sent me on my way. 15 minutes later called me to ask what flavor I want my dog's prescription to taste like( found it funny ). If you are looking for a place that looks forward to seeing you and your pet come here.

Very good experience. Highly recommend. I was out of town and my dog got an emergency (infection in a paw), I called in a morning and was given an appointment within the next hour. Everyone at the clinic was super nice, smiling and caring. I really enjoyed our doctor who helped my dog without extra add-ons procedures. By the way I took my dog twice before this appointment to vets in my local town and I was given long estimates that were totally unnecessary and overpriced. I also had to call remotely for a follow up and they took my phone call and responded to all my questions. I really liked that place and if I would have been local I would have only came over there. Truly the best.

This is an extremely great animal hospital. They are always friendly, the veterinarians are really great and constantly keep you up to date. I highly recommend them and would not hesitate to share with others. Also the fact that they use TruPanion for direct billing is extremely helpful as well!

We took our cat here since he wasn't feeling well. We are super appreciative to Dr. Adams for taking care of our furbaby!! He helped us with a diagnosis, where to go for more information, and even called us on occasion to make sure our furbaby was okay. Above and beyond exceptional. Prices are competitive from what I understand. They offer a lot of extra services that are a blessing. If your cat needs help, this is the place. I will say, the front staff can be rude at times, often forgot us despite us coming daily. But if you can look past that, it's a decent animal hospital and Dr. Adams is a great vet.

Our sweet 13-year-old Shorkie, Maisie did very well in sun city's boarding/ hotel. The staff was very kind and work really well with your beloved pet.

The staff is so kind and friendly. They are helpful and have always treated our animals with love and care. It is kept clean and they even have free dog treats.

From the front desk staff to the assistants in the room to Dr. Knehr, everyone is very kind and polite and helpful. I've never had to wait more than 10 minutes to get into a room and they are usually right on time. Keeping a credit card on file makes checking out and ordering food very convenient. Sun City Vet helps me keep my senior chi-chon living her best life.

my family drives 4.5 hours from arizona to take our pups to Sun City Animal Hospital. The entire staff is amazing and the doctors are beyond competent. I wish every animal hospital were like this one. Dr. Knehr cares so deeply about animals, the clinic, and his staff.

I have only recently started going here after taking my little toy poodle who is 15 years old to various vets all over town. By far this veterinarian and his staff are the best.
