Could be better they forget patients are customers. No one knows what's going on with their patients. They get upset if you ask them questions about the patients health and treatment. Sometimes it can be difficult to speak to the nurse for patient updates. Update. My father in law was not released to the hospital until it was too late for him. Almost 2 weeks there and he was not eating but no useful doctors around to order a cat scan on his stomach. Everyone kept telling me he was fine but how is someone fine if they cannot eat? So 2 days before his discharge they finally take him to the emergency room they called me and said he was going there just for evaluation but a couple hours later I get called into the ER for the sad news. This whole time his stomach was filling up with blood but the nurses and doctors just kept telling him to eat and ignoring him.

If I could give the facility a negative rating I would! If you care about your loved one than go someplace else! The day my dad was set to be discharged they called an ambulance and dumped him in the emergency room. However, he was not acute and did not need acute care!!! The emergency room checked him out and released him since he did not need acute services. In addition, Healthsouth wrote no discharge orders so he is home without home care or other medical treatment while I try to get everything coordinated by myself. The case managers are unhelpful and uncaring. Our case manager Cindy told me my dad would need IV antibiotics which I would have to give to him. Mind you I am not a medical professional and they did not order any antibiotics for my dad. Don't go to this location!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My mother has spent 2 two-week sessions here. The staff are attentive, highly competent, friendly. The place is well-staffed and the doctors are aware of what is happening with the patients. Facility itself is modern and spotlessly clean. You probably couldn't do much better for a rehab facility in southern Nevada. Highly recommend.

Just picked my grandfather up from there today. We couldn't have chosen a better rehabilitation facility for him to go to. Friendly and attentive staff and great communication with family. Very happy with our experience. They were all so good to him.

Very disappointing.... The staff expects you to do 3 hours of pt/ot daily, yet I was forced to stay up all night listening to my roommate refuse to use a bedpan despite her recent stroke. She went to the bathroom with help several times that night and eventually fell. Secondly, one OT had the audacity to put down my attire in the work out room, despite the fact that I was struggling with daily functions due to a total right knee replacement. Do yourself a favor. Go elsewhere.

If your loved one needs acute rehab this place is great. Its a clean facility. Janitorial staff is always cleaning and it always smells clean. The doctors, nurses, wound care staff, physical therapy and occupational therapy staff are top notch. Your loved one will get the best care at this facility. The ONLY reason I am giving them a 3 star rating is because their ability to communicate with loved ones is severely lacking. Trying to get updates from a nurse or doctor is a task. Prepare to call and sit on hold for 20 minutes then get disconnected twice and then be told that if your loved one doesn't have a living will or advanced directive in place they can't give you info.. But then if you call back later when its a better time for them they will give you info all day long. In the middle of a pandemic with limited visitation updating the family is important. Also be prepared to not be given any options for placement for your loved one in the event they are not able to go home and need additional care they keep you in the dark and then tell you last minute whats happening. Again the care is amazing they are a top notch facility but there is definitely room for improvement when it comes to communication.

I was transferred to this facility on Oct 13, 2020. I couldnโ€™t have been more happy after spending 3 days at Kindred on Flamingo/Eastern Ave. (terrible place). The staff was awesome. The different specialty nurses, doctors, pt personnel and cnaโ€™s were all well trained and were very happy to help and see that you be were comfortable. Katie Provost knew her job well and did it. I want to make special mention of Sandra Ponce. She went out her way to ensure that I was comfortable and my needs were addressed. This was my second stay at this facility as I was here July 2020. The facility has gotten better. I would recommend this facility.

My husband has had some serious health issues and two surgeries that have caused serious respiratory problems, chromic pain and extreme weight loss .He has been hospitalized since September 2018 and during the healing process from each surgery he has been in two rehabilitation facilities prior to Encompass. This place is amazing. I've seen more progress in 1 week here than I've seen in 2 months at the other two facilities that pretty much just kept him medicated and in bed. He has a daily schedule that includes (2 ) sessions of 1.5 hours of physical activity in the on-site gym, doctors who continually monitor his physical condition with testing and treatment and consult with him daily regarding his progress. As a result he has become a different person mentally and physically. I would highly recommend this rehabilitation care facility as it is truly the best in Vegas! K Hall Parks

I will never return to this hospital again. My 3 year old son slipped and fell and hit his head, rather hard playing with his siblings. To insure no severe damage we took him to the ER. Aside from the long wait we dealt with incompetence from all levels of the staff at the hospital. Months later after the insurance and billing was finally agreed upon, a $1,700 bill was owed on our end. It took another month just to set up payments over the phone, which they verified our home address. I made the first payment and thought it'd be okay from there. Nope. They sent the next month's bill to my place of work. So I didn't get it until a week after it was due. So I made a double payment and thought all was well. Nope only two weeks after it was due and even though I made a double payment, they sent us to collections. Have been trying to fix the problem and speak with a manager or director and am told they're busy or at lunch and they take my name and number and never get a call. And forget trying to set up payments on their website. The hospital tells you to call a 3rd party help desk, who then tells you to call the hospital cause the help desk doesn't do that. Incompetence and frustrated all around. Would rather drive 30 extra minutes with a gun shot wound then go to the Henderson hospital. Edit: it's funny that I make a review on Google and you reach out to me to do the very thing my wife and I already did as well as over the phone with your billing staff. If you can't figure it out you have many more issues in the billing and admin departments. There is definitely a lack of communication.

The hospital called me to tell me that a family member has been checked in (I was listed as an emergency contact). The person did not know where the member was located and instructed me to call back on the main number and ask to be connected to said member's room. Nobody seems to be able to tell me anything about my family member and is unable to locate said member. I'm currently on hold after having been transferred 4 timers to somebody who was supposed to know where to find the family member. I've spent about 18 minutes on the current call as of this post. I called earlier and was told I would be called back once the nurse looking after said member was available. No call back was made. The staff is not helpful and their system of communication is terrible. I have no idea if the hospital service is any good because I cannot communicate with anybody who seems to know what is going on. I understand that Nevada is currently at its worst point in the pandemic, but people have family members who care about them and want to know what is going on with them

My daughter was transferred from Kindred for more intensive rehabilitation. She had gulliane barre syndrome (GBS) and had been hospitalized for four months. The PT and OT offered here was the best. All of the staff was knowledgeable and capable of superior care. She is being discharged doing more than she thought she would be capable of and knows she one day may be able to be independent. Thanks to all of the staff with special thanks to Michael who pushed her just the right amount to walk and offered encouragement for each milestone mi highly recommend Healthsouth of Henderson.

Admission: Oct 6 thru Oct 27, 2017. I was admitted after 3 months of terror at other facilities in Las Vegas during which I almost died from poor care and administrative red tape. HealthSouth literally came to the Skilled Nursing Center I was at and saved my life! One more week and I would not have been here to write this review. HealthSouth was AMAZING! They really pay attention to details and work as a team! As serious as my condition was when I arrived, they had me ready to go home after 3 weeks. The facility is clean and PROFESSIONAL! They treated me with the utmost humanity and were very good about letting me and my family know what was going on...available at any time and any day. They are, as promised, aggressive but that was not a bad thing! Very informative and attentive! Did I say, they saved my life? They did! IF you can bring your loved one to HealthSouth you can and should have EVERY CONFIDENCE that they are getting the best care--as I did! There is no where in Las Vegas like it - or remotely like it. They truly do have a team of experts and they truly work as a team in a comprehensive and effective way. The food is pretty darn good too! I had shrimp scampi before I left :) After 3 months not being able to get out of bed I walked out on my own!

This is by far the worst experience Iโ€™ve had! My initial room was filthy. Dust bunnies hanging from air returns. The floor was the worst. As I had just had major surgery the day before & Healthsouth own transport arrived at hospital early I was unable to get my pain meds. Once at Healthsouth, i requested pain meds & meds for my allergy/Asthma attack the nurse REFUSED to call Dr on call to get needed meds. I suffered through the night & received meds @9am the next day. By then I required breathing treatments, asthma meds etc. during my stay Iโ€™ve had to remind nurses to glove up before handling meds & more. I had to use a bedside commode which was not emptied even though requested. The therapists failed to help then wrote exaggerated claims of how well I was doing & the Dr embellished my improvements. Case workers were HORRIBLE except for Maria who was assigned at the last moment. There were a few good therapists & nurses. Alex took charge when my leg had redness, swelling, & pain. The last two therapists were helpful. No one reads your chart for information on your case. The rehab Dr filling in for regular Dr was curt, rude & without knowledge of basic anatomy. DO NOT GO THERE if YOU want to get well ! Horrible horrible experience!!!

I came from home an could not walk due to sever arthritis, I don't really go to hospitals because I'm pretty shy an it's hard for me to talk to people. I've been house bound for quite a while due to my weight. This people were so careing an nice to me, everyone of them, an so helpful, Gretchel was my case manager an work so hard to hook me up with the right people to help me to get on the right path, Dr Nguyen I so appreciate what you did to help me,I know it's not a normal thing to help ease the pain in my knee. Thank You , My therapist we're Kris R an Nate C, they we're so patient an kind to me, they were so encouraging, anybody would be lucky to have them for therapist. I had lots of nurses an they were all nice to me, but the one I remember the most was Ala I think her name was, she was so nice to me. I can't say enough about this nurse tech, her name is Adobel, she worked so hard taking care of me doing things I couldn't, she went way beyond the call of duty careing for me, she was the best. Anyone would be lucky to go to Henderson Health South , Thank You all I really appreciate You ALL,

After my mom fell and couldnโ€™t walk I called Encompass Health to see if they could help in any way. I spoke with Donna who was one of the nicest people Iโ€™ve ever met! She told me about the facility, what I needed to do, she came to the house and evaluated my mom, walked me step by step through the process and even checked in on us after my mom was admitted. The facility was amazing, very clean and friendly, they even played physical therapy bingo to keep things intetesting. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the place, they really helped my mom get back on her feet and Donna was truly a god send!! Thank you Encompass Health!

I just arrived at home after a liver biopsy and my experience at Henderson Hospital was so fantastic that I want to write a review right away. From Beginning to Ending, my experience was fantastic, and I felt the professionalism, compassion and kindness from all of the professionals, especially the three nurses with whom I spent the most time, Holly, Amy, and Deb. All three of these nurses were professional, kind, and caring individuals with delightful personalities. They made the experience so comfortable with little anxiety. Again, everyone with whom I interacted on January 7, 2021 was fantastic - I donโ€™t remember too many of the names of people during the procedure since there were many, but Sarah and Ivan were two names and the doctor was fantastic and kind too. Thank you, Henderson Hospital for making a stressful Hospital Procedure surprisingly pleasant :). May God Bless You All for caring for people every day, especially during the pandemic :). As a traveler from out of state, I debated long and hard about going to the ER. I knew what the problem was - my gall bladder - because I had an attack 2 days prior to this ER visit. What happened for the next almost 7 hours was unbelievable. I got in relatively quickly and told the PA my medical history, including being in treatment for terminal cancer. I explained my symptoms, told him I'd had gall bladder attacks before and this was just like those. Then came a long list of tests, each time being taken back to the waiting room for a long wait for results before the next test was done. After putting in access for IV, there was an echocardiogram, chest x-ray, urine test, CT scan without contrast, ultrasound, CT scan with contrast to check for a pulmonary embolism. I told them I've been on blood thinner for a year and COULDN'T have a blood clot. At one point the nurse came out and injected something into the IV because they said I had a kidney infection. They didn't ask me, or explain it. I have no idea what that medication was. I was so tired and by myself because "no visitors". I don't have a kidney infection. I have a gall bladder problem. But they didn't believe me and subjected me to many unneeded tests that kept me sitting in the waiting room for about 7 hours. While waiting for the last test result, I asked the lady at the desk if she would just discharge me because I was SO TIRED, but the nurse said "That would be "against medical advice", and so I waited longer. I never saw a doctor, just the physician assistant at the beginning of the ordeal. There wasn't a room to go to, just the waiting room which was a cesspool of people not wearing masks properly, people vomiting, a couple people coming in various states of dress, sitting on the seat with nothing but bare skin. When housekeeping came through, there was no sanitizing - just picking trash up off the floor. I was left speechless and very disappointed. There's no question about whether or not I would go back to this hospital because I don't live here. Whether or not you should go there? No way.

My negative review is simply for the fact this rehab center does not allow children. The one thing my wife needs on her road to recovery is her son, who is not 18 therefore the management of this rehabilitation center is keeping our family apart. They literally told me kids are basically a threat to everyoneโ€™s health, as if the dirty smelly unkept visitors of other patients arenโ€™t. My wife cries daily in her hospital bed because she misses her only son. My question is โ€œif my child were in need of the Encompass accute rehab center for a debilitating trauma, would you turn him away due to his age? And would you keep his parents from visiting him? If not than why now? If your answer is that he would be in a childrens hospital, would they keep parents from visiting him? And if kids are so disease ridden, how are all the children in the hospital not dying from covid? Bottom line is if youโ€™re choosing which facility is best for you and your loved ones and you have children youโ€™d like to see during your recovery, do not choose this place. Choose one in the Las Vegas city limits and not Henderson, theyโ€™re still brainwashed over covid here. The doctors & therapists are doing a fine job but it would only aid my wifeโ€™s recovery with regular visits from her only child, during the hardest days of our lives. The panic ridden scare tactics need to end just as the CDC announced, all the restrictions did not help america one bit, matter of fact they made everything worse. This traumatic event didnโ€™t put my kid in counseling, not being able to see his mom did. End rant.

If we could give more than 5 stars, we would! The entire staff was kind and attentive, and Malvyn went absolutely above and beyond. He made us all feel like family, and took the most amazing care of our mother/grandmother in her time here. The care and consideration he showed her and all of us is that shown between loved ones. He is forever an honorary member of our family. Thank you (Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Henderson) and thank you Malvyn!

My mother was in this facility in September 2022. The head PT Mr.Gau made certain my mother would not get the additional care she needed. Medicare approval was needed for additional care and his report sealed her fate. I would not recommend this facility to anyone. The higher up you complain the more professional the staff becomes.........but don't let the professionalism fool you. They're not there to help you. Do your research and pick a professional facility!

My son is currently a patient here, everyone is very friendly and knowledgeable, although at times you have to keep calling some of them to remind them of questions you had asked about for answers ... Very clean the night staff could be a little more on top and punctual on remembering meds on time and responding to patients call's, Doctors are great... All in all we are very pleased.....

Horrible patient care from a case manager named Annelise. Very abrupt, rude on talking on the phone, lack emphaty , finesse., and insensitive. She does not possess any skills of someone ho has great patient care skills. If you have someone being treated in this facility make sure that person is not in charge of the case.

Thought this was a good place till I started getting bills in the mail saying I own money because emcompass was too lazy to had the EMTs my insurance card. Also nurses force you to take pills, causing you to get sick, sending to the hospital, then the case worker got everything wrong with equipment, also was shuffled between 3 case workers, who happen to โ€œbe out of townโ€ any time they were called. Terrible place

My wife and I had our first born at Henderson Hospital and the staff was great. The nurses and doctors where very informative about the process which was appreciated since it was our first time. They were very attentive and excited for us. When we were transferred from Labor & Delivery to Postpartum it was a new staff that was equally great. Our nurses from labor & delivery even came over on their next shift to the postpartum department to check on us and see our baby. The only thing that could use improvement is the food. There was something missing or wrong each meal. We didn't expect much though knowing hospitals aren't known for their food. Dr. Michelle Lewis is who delivered our baby boy and she deserves 5 stars also.

HH took very good care of me and were very careful to make sure nothing else was wing. They out me in a room with other ppl then later transferred me into my own room. It took a while. But I understand how busy they are in these times. When I got to my own room I was taken care of even better. The food was great and customer service on point! Thank you HH!

Should you not go here unless you have covid-19? I went because I been waking up severely dehydrated from night sweats. Was sent home severely dehydrated with a referral to Sagebrush where they can't even help me. Like what do you even do in this situation? Wait for the problem to get worse and come lay on the ER floor like everyone else?

I wish I can give this place a fat zero. If you really love your relative do not bring them here. They may just die! The doctor's are heartless and can care less. The nurses can't tell you nothing because they don't know nothing. All you hear from these people are lies lies lies lies and excuses. You're lucky if you're relative make it out alive!

My husband, at a very young age, had a rare stroke in November of 18'. He was at Sienna and then transferred over to Encompass. He has been going for physical therapy ever since. He was complete paralyzed on his left side, but with extremely hard work and dedication, he has been improving. He has even been called a miracle. He amazes and surprises me, everyday. I have seen some bad reviews, and this place has been nothing short of amazing. From the nurses and staff that cared for him for the week after, to the continued support at the outpatient PT. Q, up front, has always been very supportive, helpful, and generous. I would love to add her to our family, and she really has become part of it. Patrick is also very helpful with our schedule. My husband has done a LOT of work, not only at PT, but at home as well. You can't get better unless you out the effort in. You won't get anywhere if you expect them to do everything for you. Elaine and Marc have also been amazing. Jibu has seen my husband the most, and knows exactly how to push him, and rubs the area in his arm that I am nervous to get to. They have seriously become our second family. Q basically knows it is us when we call, and although and of course I want my husband to get better, i will always have a special place in my heart for them. They don't get nearly enough credit. Usually people will post reviews when they are upset, never the happy ones. My husband will be making the hall of fame in September, and I truly hope these hard workers also get recognized. Without them, and my husband's amazing hard work, and dedication, he wouldn't be where he is today. He is my miracle, and I am happy to call him my husband. Q, Patrick, Marc, Elaine, and Jibu, among so many others, thank YOU! And Jay, thank you for striving to become the man you are. You are my inspiration, motivation, the reason I get out of bed every morning...ok getting cheesy. I'm sure you guys know who this is. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿ˜ Xoxo -M

Loved the experience. The nurses were great; knowledgeable, friendly, and go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable. They provide everything you might need and the rooms are big and comfortable.

I was very skeptical when hearing peopleโ€™s past experiences or lack of. Iโ€™m very impressed and greatly satisfied on my experience during the COVID situation. The staff in the ERH was very professional and extremely friendly to all patients in this section. Their courteous and professional integrity as a representative of Henderson Hospital is well worth to be my #1 recommendation to anyone. Great job, great staff, great choice for anyone.

The finance manager could have been a bit more understanding especial she knew the money was coming. Because my doctor scheduled my surgery in 2021 instead of 2020 I had to pay the whole deductible. I was not informed this until New Years Eve. The first day back after New Years I call hospital all morning trying to contact someone to find out about the money I just recently was informed I needed. $2907 I needed for a Lumbar Five Laminectomy. I was not contact back until after lunchtime. By the time I got all my paperwork in for my hardship loan to my 401k it was pass deadline time. Nonetheless, I was approved that day. I sent all information to hospital and was informed I would be fine for surgery. I received a email surgery day telling me the payment was mailed in error. I was at the hospital at 5am with the proof that the check was in the mail and I was still refuse service until I had the money up front. However, the service of the staff at this hospital is past amazing. I felt like family, every staff member treated me like I was one of there own. I was taking care of and cared for 1000% I would definitely recommend the surgical department at this hospital hands down from pre op all the way to the post op. Even the anesthesiologist was wonderful. Everyone had the best attitudes. I even felt the love as I was discharged.๐Ÿ’• Just make sure you know all about your insurance, deductibles, and have some kind of money upfront because the accounting manager has no heart.

This hospital is great. The staff is the best I have seen in years. I did give it 4 stars. The one star I did not give them represents the food the patients are served. I wanted to take a picture but I let them take the mess they called breakfast. I am sorry kitchen staff.. not good at all

Walked into the ER at 4pm and was temperature screened and checked in right away. Immediately got my vitals taken and did not have to wait too too long before they took me back for my first procedure. They did keep bouncing me back and forth between tests and the waiting room with long waits in between, but everyone was very nice and seemed to be working efficiently. Overall, I did end up being there for 6 hours, but that included three breathing treatments, some fluids, and the EKG and a chest X-Ray. As much as you can enjoy a visit to the ER, I had a pretty good experience with lots of competent and caring health providers!! Go Henderson Hospital!

From the moment I walked in the door everyone was so kind and caring. My procedure was explained and they double and triple checked to make sure that the procedure being done was the correct one and that I understood everything. The staff at Henderson Hospital took excellent care of me and kept my family informed of my status.

Great service! Staff was very friendly and professional; especially nurse Danielle. She administered my IV and was very efficient in releasing me. I was in and out of the ER in less than 2 hours! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ

I have to say the nurses at this hospital are the most caring and down to earth people. I was taken care of by Nurse Nikki and Nurse Janelle in OBS along with an apprentice Paige, and a student (who I wish I remembered her name). I went in for one issue to which my surprise they found another issue caused by it. They got me comfortable and feeling better before leaving. But, I donโ€™t think Iโ€™ve ever gone to a hospital where the ENTIRE staff was so genuinely warm and caring. My nurses made sure to check up on me constantly, kept me company and made sure to keep me in the loop of my care and plans for the day. I have to say Iโ€™m happy to see future nurses being trained by the staff of this hospital! Great breeds great!!

The Dr., the Nurses, and the Medical Assistants. Medical Technicians were all very caring and made me feel that I was the only one there - even though most beds were full! This made me feel very comfortable and stress-free.

My RN Lulu is an amazing person! She made me feel so comfortable and cared about the things I had to say. She didn't treat me just like a patient but more of a friend. Thank you so much for your amazing care. Good luck on everything!!!

I have been in the ER twice in the past 13 days due to Covid. Each time the staff was incredibly friendly and caring. The while experience made everything I was going through a little easier. A great hospital!

I am seriously impressed with the staff and medical technology at the ER at Green Valley Ranch. They were fast, and so kind and amazing in every way. Highly recommend this satellite ER when you need all of the technical abilities of a hospital ER without the long wait.

Itโ€™s hit or miss when I go. But my last visit was actually good. Staff was nice and welcoming amidst the virus happening. Was clean and didnโ€™t take that long to see doctor.
