I have had my son in MMA classes at this gym since he was about 9 years old. He has been taking classes weekly for almost 2 years now and it has really helped him grow as a person and improve his mental and physical toughness which I have not been able to teach him on my own. He doesnt realize it, but he is learning invaluable skills that he will have for the rest of his life! My son really loves the wrestling or "rolling" part of the classes the most. After watching my son do this for a couple of years and do so well i decided to join too! I am in my 40's. I attend classes with him in the evenings and I cant tell you how awesome that feels as a parent! The classes are fun, vigorous, challenging and I always learn something new! I get an incredible workout from the classes too. They may not be as structured or strict as some other gyms but I prefer it this way. I usually go for 2 hours at atime. My standard membership gives me unlimited access to any and all classes on the schedule and they have classes 5 or 6 days per week, day and night. So its pretty easy to find classes that work with my schedule. The instructors and helpers are great! They are the real deal! They all compete in high level grappling and MMA tournaments and I feel like they teach you what you need to know from basic to technical. They also spend time with you individually to help you learn and improve specific techniques.

A complete horror show. This gym has a terrible environment, and I am genuinely shocked that they haven't had a lawsuit yet. The 'trainer' doesn't use headgear or mouthpiece while sparring, and he also allows no stoppages or breaks in sparring so you can get hurt VERY bad. The rates for 100 a month and 200 without contract are way too expensive. A gym a block away called Never Quit Boxing Gym is $25 a month for unlimited classes with free gym equipment uses and a trainer that actually has professional records online. The coach is not suited to teach non-professionals (or people that aren't looking forward to kill people that try to fight you.) I have witnessed a 9 year old get rabbit punched without being stopped during sparring, but the coach just keeps screaming. When the 9 year old kid starts crying because of the verbal abuse, the coach then yelled "WHY ARE YOU CRYING? WHY ARE YOU CRYING? TELL ME WHY YOU ARE CRYING!" to an elementary school child. The sport of martial arts should be in a supportive environment, but this will ruin your experience. Real mma and boxing gyms is all about hard work, but you won’t even break a sweat here; just blood and tears. Please find a good gym and discover the true fun of martial arts.

My son started last week, and right after his first class said that he has loved it. The instructors are great with the kids and everyone makes you feel welcome. I recommend this place to all the parents looking for an after school activity for their kids.

My family started at United Studios of Self Defense in 2012 and it's been a wonderful experience. My kids started training first, but when I tried a class I knew it was for me. I earned my black belt in 2021, and began teaching. The studio changed its name to Achieve Marital Arts and updated its website to help students get even more out of their training. With the online program available to us, we get to learn at our convenience. My kids have renewed their dedication due to the availability of the lessons. The positive impact this dojo has had on my family has just been amazing.

My son and I have been taking classes here for over 2 years. No matter what kind of week I've had I always leave class with a sense of rejuvenation and happiness. Sensie Bob is wonderful! A true people person. The kids love him. The teens love him. And the parents love him.

My son thoroughly enjoys Achieve. Right from the beginning the classes were very welcoming and filled with kids around his age. Sensei Bob is awesome with all of the students and has a great sense of humor. Sensei's Gen and Will are great, too. The environment is serious enough that the lessons get cemented yet you can tell the students are having fun at the same time. I would definitely recommend this class for kids and beginners who are looking for good self defense techniques as well as lessons on good values and behavior.

This school is fantastic. The level of patience expressed by the instructors is unmatched. In fact, I am blown away nearly every time I observe the class. My son is five and I was hesitant in starting him so young due to previous challenges with other activities. Sending him here and watching him develop has been extremely rewarding. If you are looking to get your kid headed int he right direction in life, look no further than this facility.

Best place in Vegas. Dave was one of the first trainer of the first mma school in Las Vegas. There's always something new. He gives confidence to everyone who needs it or anyone. I love dave. He taught me so much. He taught me courage, to follow my dreams, and being a man. Thanks to him I got an awesome job and a career. Without Dave, i would be completely different. He could make your kids from having no goals or confidence to having confidence and courage. This is the best place to bring yourself or your kids.

Highly recommend!! I found the coach David Howard through groupon. He is an amazing person. He truly cares about the wellbeing of his students. He is a great mentor and a phenomenal coach. He is very patient and will always find something that works for you. A lot of martial arts schools will teach you a technique and if you don't get it they'll keep drilling it or give up on you. But Dave will show you something that you can actually do and everything is simple and straight to the point. When I first came to Dave I was scared of trying something new. I'm a survivor of domestic abuse and he welcomed me in and was very patient with me. I've gained confidence in myself and learn everyday to not let what happened to me define me. All with his help and his students. The envirmonment is very friendly they make you feel comfortable and welcome. My son even started training not long after I did and he had behavioral problems and I can definitely see a huge change in his attitude and self discipline. And if you want to compete David doesn't force it but if you want to, the whole team will help you get ready with really hard work. There is honestly something for everyone at the mma corner.

Others might say that the couches they are just bad and mean to their students but when you start training with them and work with them, you see how real life works and some may say that they need to take it easy on them, but in real life there no easy. I’ve trained with them for 3 years and David Howard is the nicest guy along with everyone he trains

USSD had a makeover! Achieve Martial Arts is amazing, they still have the personalized in studio training, but also have a complete online curriculum. Every skill needed to move through the belt ranks is laid out for you. Students can move at their own pace. It's very cool. I got my black belt with them and I just started teaching the Instructors Academy. I'm really excited for this new adventure. I would love for you to join us!!!!

Best place to train at in Vegas. Dave Howard is one of the original trainers from the first mma school in Vegas (J-sect). I learn how to fight and defend myself. I started with jiu-jitsu with other trainers and Dave made my game sky rocket. I learn how to mix my stand up game and ground game together and I learn lots of arts with Dave. Dave as well taught me how to be more confident and many more. Best school in Vegas.

By far one of the best MMA/GRAPPLING instructors out there. Ever since I started training with Dave, my skills shot through the roof. Everything he teachers is LEGIT! Everything he teaches is quick and straight to the point. No stalling, just quick and easy finishes. He has a very unique style of MMA and GRAPPLING. No matter what age, weight, or disabilities you have, I have seen him teach. No doubt David Howard will make you a beast! I've trained with so many instructors such as " Drysdale, Sergio Pena, Fight Capital" , and none of them has impressed me like he has. A true martial artist that understands the art and that will break it down to the very detail. No ego at all at this gym. A gym I can call my 2nd home.

Our son loves this place! He is a very active 4 year old and we were looking for something to channel his energy. Sensei Bob and Paul have been extremely patient yet firm with my son. He can be very energetic but also shy and they have helped him to focus and concentrate. Everyone is very welcoming and extremely knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend this studio to family and friends. We are going to start our daughter as soon as she is old enough.

I took my son here because I wanted him to have some activity for summer. He has medical issue's that can prevent him from doing activities at times. He loves the program at United Studio's of Self Defense. He have been in the program for about two month's and is still excited to get to class. He loves recognition when he works for it. I do like the principles of self development, my son has been understanding the discipline of his instructors. The instructors spend's time to give meaning to their training of different style of teaching which my son and other students understands and they are all progressing in the class. I would personally recommend United Studios of Self Defense.

My daughter just started taking karate here for only a couple of weeks. She really loves it. It has helped her build confidence and discipline. The instructors are great. They make the kids feel comfortable and confident. This is a great studio I would recommend it to kids of all ages.

My kids were looking to start training in karate and based on the prior Google reviews, we gave this studio a try. There was a special going on where the first week was free. I filled out the interest section in their website and Sensei Bob emailed me back within a few minutes. He answered any questions I had and based on the professionalism, we showed up the next week and began classes. The kids were nervous at first, but the instructors made them feel at ease, but maintained a "patient discipline" with them. I was impressed that they were addressing and issues in behavior that arose, but in a gentle manner that was not demeaning in anyway. The students are given clear expectations and everything is demonstrated to them, which makes learning easier. I have nothing but good things to say about this dojo. The pricing is reasonable for what you get and as long as the kids are happy, we will keep coming here. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends and family.

😠 Not a clean or safe place to roll-the amount of times I’ve gotten staph and ringworm from the mats is ridiculous. They do not clean regularly. The head instructor is very inconsistent in his practices. Sometimes there are 50-60 people on the mat with little space to roll. The teaching is bare minim...

😠 Signed my son up for a year membership. Coach Dylan and coach Darren are great. My son loves them but he is afraid of the owner from the way he’s seen him yell at other kids over silly things. 👍👍 I love it here, the people are very professional and kind. They make you feel like family and Mr. Hopkins has really helped my child find his purpose in life, and to be a better person. Now my kid is not a hundred percent by any means but Mr. Hopkins really tries to instill values every class.
